What actions can be done without dedicated moves? Are characters allowed to do small, cosmetic things without purchasing moves for them? For instance, could a wizard produce magelight without having a dedicated move, since it's a simple little trick that doesn't so much involve casting a spell as focusing ones mind?

The Pale Moors were a little closer to a realm that Shang recognized and comprehended. The moment his ride passed through the gate into the adjacent world, he felt immediately the sorrow and misery that suffused the atmosphere. Words about a place called Darkshire and its role as the ‘bastion of hope’ spilled out of the knight’s mouth as he guided his horse down a crude cobblestone path. Shang lifted his eyes and spotted the rustic town in the opposite direction. With its dull brick and dark wooden architecture, it reminded him of some eighteenth century hamlet in rural Britain or Germany.

For another half an hour, they rode further into the Moors, until the flatlands gave way to a dense forest. As if the forest itself gave off an aura of evil, the horse became increasingly skittish and reluctant as they drew closer. When the rider tried to spurn it down the slightly paved pathway that entered the trees, the animal let out a defiant whinny and reared up on its hind legs, threatening to throw off its rider and passenger before the former managed to calm it down.

Lifting his head up, Shang stared fondly at the dark, dense trees. They reminded him fondly of the forests where he had been born. Until, of course, the Europeans had arrived and reduced those vast, beautiful trees to stacks of logs. With a frown, Shang glanced down at the belt the man wore around his plated waist.

“We’re pretty far from civilization, Sir, are you certain your family lives around here?” The knight pushed up his visor and started to glance around the area.

“Yes, they’re just a little further in.” A withered hand moved to the e%g%g sword the man carried.

“Are you ce--” the words trailed off into frantic gurgling as the man’s own blade was rammed through his chest from a gap in his armor beneath his armpit. The horse let out another cry and reared up, this time throwing both its passengers from its back. Holding onto the man’s opposing shoulder, Shang managed to direct the fall so he landed on the knight.

“Why?” The dying man pleaded as he twitched, his strength already too far gone to let him do anything in the heavy armor. Shang rolled the man onto his back and stared down at his now pallid countenance.

“I didn’t want to risk killing you closer to civilization and taking my prize.”

“P-prize?” The knight asked as the old sorcerer planted a boot onto his chest and extended a palm down toward his face.

“Your soul is mine.” Shang rasped as his fingers clenched. It took a little longer for the process to begin, but the sorcerer couldn’t be certain if that was due to this new realm or his own weakness. With a shriek of pure horror, the downed soldier thrashed up only once as his soul was torn from his defeated body. Unlike on previous times, the opaque cloud that rushed up out of the man’s eyes, mouth, and nostrils flashed a rainbow of colors for a brief moment as it exited. After that initial, dazzling flicker of color, it settled onto the green shade that he was so accustomed to.

Drawing it up in front of him, Shang pulled the soul into his body, feeling almost instantly the empowering effect. A euphoric sigh escaped the sorcerer as he pressed his eyes shut. When they reopened, they were no longer milky white but a piercing almost entirely black color. His body was no longer slightly stooped, and his beard and hair had more gray than white in them.

“This is more like it,” the sorcerer shouted--more so to hear how much younger his voice sounded than anything else.

Inlumia shook his head as he looked around.
Too often he had seen arrogance on a massive scale, but this he had to admit was interesting.
Omni means all, and Omniverse was the collective name for every single reality, even those formed by pure imagination.
No, that being was not the ruler of the Omniverse, just a Power with delusions of grandeur.
Still, he smiled to himself, it gave him a chance to see what was up, and what he could do.

Looking around he saw an unusual fountain. The water looked like it was being pumped up a pipe to come out of the top at an angle, about the hight of his head, only to fall down and start the cycle over again. What was odd about it was there was no pipe, just water rising into the air.
Looking around he could see nothing else, so he relaxed and expanded his senses.

The area was thick with spirits of the dead. He could also tell they all died violent deaths.
Sighing he asked them that seemed more calm then the others "What do I need to know?"

The spirits all froze!
The one he had addressed asked him, "How can you see and speak with us?"
Inlumia smiled. "Necromancy. Pretty basic necromancy that some people are born with, but necromancy never the less."
The spokes ghost somehow sighed and told him: "This is called the nexus, that shifting fountain is called the Fountain of Infinity. When people brought here by that being called Omni die, they are brought back to life here. You lot are called Primes and can't properly die, unless Omni wills to. The rest of us are called Secondaries. We don't have your immortality.
"There are different realms areas controlled by different forces, however, this area has been the site on many battles as people try to wrest control of it."

Inlumia was silent for a bit and told the ghosts, "You are trapped here. I may or may not be able to help you find peace. I might be able to bind you to items associated with you, your deaths or your remains, and carry you."
Suddenly one called out, "I need to return to the Kingdom!"
Others started clamoring for his attention.

Inlumia motioned for calm and said, "In the absence of bodies or things linked to you, I could possibly link you to water from this fountain and carry you in it. One drop for each Realm should be enough. The question is how to carry it safely."
One of them told him, "You have Omnilium. You can create things with it."

Following their guidance Inlumia created 8 small spheres for each of the main Realms the souls told him about, and 2 for those who wished to be sent to the Dataverse and Underverse. Thinking for a bit he then make an extra one for the assassin village who had members among the spirits. This way they could be taken to their village and released there.
He filled them with water from the Fountain and sealed them with a single drop of his blood on each.

Some souls wished to remain there at the Fountain, for they had other reasons to remain.

Then he set of to Camelot, for more up to date information, to lay some souls to rest and may-hap a way to send some souls to the Underverse.

Character history:
Inlumia is a wondering Shadow Mage, trained in necromancy, Shadow Magic and Demonology. However, coming to the Omniverse weakened his power.
He is a devoted follower of the School of the Dark, which despite it's name is a very nice group who seeks to aid those
cast out into the darkness by society as a whole. He is a trickster, a schemer and a chaotic who loves to see what he can stir up. He can also be bloody stubborn when it comes to battle of wills.
He also carries a Katana with him. When he came to the Omniverse he managed to focus his will on the sword so much Omni let him keep it, at a price of 1000 OM

Appearance: Nondescript. His clothing is just dark enough to blend with shadows, but bright enough to not make it look
like he was trying to. They are plain enough to avoid drawing attention, but also stylish and fashionable enough to not make him considered unacceptable at high society functions.
His hair is a shade some would call dirty blond, and others a light black. He is about 6 foot tall.

He carries a Katana with him at all times.

He can channel his spiritual power through his Katana, letting him strike at twice the normal speed he would use
He can call one of his totems for increased speed for short periods and to jump very high (super jumping; basic; 300)

Dead Man's tales: (purely RP) He can sense, and communicate with spirits. If they agree, he can bind them to something linked to them, their deaths or their graves and carry them with him. He intends to help them find peace, or to recruit them to his faith, depending on what he considers best for them. (The fact he can speak with them while others can't see them can lead to people thinking he is talking to himself, or insane.)

I have multiple questions pertaining to this 'verse.

• How exactly does one enter the Void?
  
• Are the entrances static or can they be created?
  
• Is it possible for Harry to buy a move that helps him find his way to a Void entrance, or make one if possible?
  
• Are the ley lines static or fluid?
  

Does anyone care to write ... with GOD?!

Bear in mind, Enel is a REALLY abrasive personality. He doesn't give a rat's ass about human lives, and genuinely believes he is God. So he probably suits another bad guy. I was thinking maybe Shang Tsung, but I dunno about your plans and such.

The world was white. The wasn’t wasn’t white, though, so that didn’t make any sense. Enel pondered on this as he picked his nose.

“WHAAAT!?” he suddenly bellowed, sitting abruptly upright. His neck snapped left and right, his dangling earlobes slapping his shoulders as he did so. He jumped to his feet and gazed at his surroundings. “This doesn’t make any seeense!” His peripherals landed on the fountain behind him and he turned. A thing of marble, water trickling down from eight descending layers. His eyes reached the top – there was a giant, ornate yellow lightning bolt sticking out of it. He thumbed his chin. “Classy.” The smirk lasted only a second before being replaced by a deep frown once more.

That Omni guy had some nerve, bringing him here. He was obviously some kind of hack, some illusionist who’d eaten a Devil Fruit and thought he was God all of a sudden. Enel snorted. The idiocy on these people. This Omni had no idea how much trouble he was in. He spoke aloud.

“Omni! I hope you’re pleased, because soon you’re gonna be in a world of pain! You think you can trap GOD in your little illusion? HAH! I’m going to break out of here, and when I do, you’re going to be in so much pain you’ll wish you never messed with GOD! ENEL!” He raised his palms up and laughed. “YAAHAHAHAHAHA!”

He waited. His lip curled.

“Hey! You dare ignore God?!”

He waited again. Nothing.

The god snarled. Oh, that was it. He wasn’t just going to kill Omni. He was going to keep him alive, torturing him with electricity until he couldn’t feel anymore. Then he would starve him, watch him shrivel until his ribs poked through his chest. Then he’d cast him up in the sky on a giant golden cross as an example, before hooks tore him into a million bloody pieces. A mad grin was fixed on Enel’s face as he dwelt on the image. He’d wipe that grin off Omni’s face, that was for sure. He’d see him cry tears of blood!

For a time he paced back and forth, thinking of the many ways he’d torture Omni. Then he got bored. He sighed, sitting down with his legs crossed and his hands on his knees. A cold expression was on his features.

He had to think. This Omni’s power had to have some kind of weakness. Some way out. If he stayed calm, used his brain … he’d figure a way out.

I'd like a sig. Any sig. Enel's thing is electricity, so blue/orange/yellow maybe? Those are like, electricity colours. I also like green.
