On the high seas the waters had a slight calmness to them as they crashed on the sides of the small boat that could at least house 2-3 people in it with no troubles. Bellow the waters were a school of fish, migrating to more shallow area's as the small boat passed on by, on the boat there seemed to be only a few details. It had no mast or really no real way to change directions if the crew needed to do so, it was extremely small but had at least one room to rest and do what ever. The wood it was made out of was basic and slightly furnished with the salt of the sea, giving it a old and drawn out look about it. On the inside was a simple bed, a desk with a few papers and charts on it as well as a chest with notably someone's belongings inside of it, neatly tucked over into the corner.
On the out-side a young man was groaning and trying to do something on the side of the boat as he sat on the railing to the left side of the small ship. Having a rod in his hads and pulling up on it he was having a sea battle with probably a very large fish as he kept pulling on the line. "err...a-almost got i-it~!...crap this thing weighs a ton!" he said with an irritated expression as the fish almost pulled him right into the water a few times as this tug of war continued for a little while. Soon he planted his feet on the railing as he used the fish's opposite force to keep him from falling back as he tugged with a strong pull, from the depths of the sea bellow he finally was able to reel in what ever it was and as he pulled it out of the water with a large splash he examined it with a shocked expression.
Picking it up with actually little to no trouble he gave a teary eyed expression as it was a shrimp, he was more sad that it put up so much of a fight that it left him using most of his strength to bring it out than the fact that all he had been catching was shrimps as he threw it into the bucket of 3-4 shrimps that all put him threw hell. Sniffling he whipped his eyes, giving off crocodile tears, "Oh come on, cant catch something in proportion to how much work I put into it??" He said with an annoyed tone as he looked over to the small sea creatures, that would at least keep them alive till they made it to karate island, there next stop as he already planed out everything.
They were riding a current he picked up with his weather tool to predict the change in sea currents, he also mapped out the different courses and what time they would change, evaluating it would be about a full day or two till they would get there. All this being from just a hour of working on the next location to go to, showing a bit of how good a navigator he was as he didn't even have to control the boat thanks to the current they were in. Looking into the bucket he grumbled at his meager catches, feeling really weak as he pouted now and folded his arms.
From inside of the young adult someone would seem to space out into existence, as if she or it was part of him this whole time. Azalea, who was all in all mouse spirit that looked to be as tall as a young girl but also was shaped in body like one, looked over at his apparently epic struggle and smiled a bit, well he seemed to be having fun...well maybe fun wasn't the right word she decided as she seen him trying his hardest to reel in whatever it was on the end of the line he had cast earlier, thought she hopped it would be to better results then what he had been getting, thought you couldn't fault the guy for trying with so many fish swimming below them, it was quite tempting to start fishing and hope for the best, it was of course the hope to catch a few of the large ones swimming below them, and she looked back at the ongoing struggle of man versus....well what whatever he managed to catch this time
As he toppled over and managed to finally get the fish out of the water Azalea started to giggle actually rolling around a bit "the epic battle of shrimp versus shrimp, Xavier I have no Idea what your doing to keep in shape but you might wanna change the regime if your having trouble with these little tiny things." she said with a playful giggle as she pats him on the back, "look at the good news you managed to catch a decent amount right?" she motioned to the shrimp as she sat down near the bucket "it's a good catch and they are rather large for shrimp" with a smile she lifted one up and examined it, it was quite large for a shrimp. For a spirit she was able to interact slightly with things around her, but only things that didn't have a strong spirit. Humans and other large creatures were impossible for her, dead things and objects took a bit of work to actually move while she was in a ghostly state.
"So...how we going to cook this wonderful bounty~?" asked with a playful smile as she put the shrimp back in the bucket, and looked at the navigator, the boat was small that was certain but it would be enough room for the two of them for now, they would need a new one eventually thought, and granted the 'two of them' was basically just him as he was the only living thing on the ship next to the small shrimp he fished up just recently. "...and you never told me where we are headed." she mentioned as she stood back up and looked over the side then back at him asking him politely as she stretched a bit. She was tiny and actually quite adorable actually, if it wasn't for her being nearly 100 years old she would be pretty charming as a kid, but this was only and act and she could change her form to something more annoying or appealing but it was always a mouse, mostly because that's what she was born as.
"I'm not that weak, the shrimp, it's like uh super strong...or got wedged into some rocks maybe? Besides if ti wasn't for you I'd kinda bed dead now...your strength is my strength in a way." Xavier retorted, trying to make up an excuse for his not so strong body as he felt the pat on his back, turning around to look at Azalea as he was still sitting on the deck of the boat he saw that she was examining the shrimp he caught. It was kind big, bigger than his hand at least, but still he couldn't help but wonder how could such a little thing end up putting on such a battle against him? Looking at his arms for a moment he flexed them but by the look of it he was more or less very weak and skinny too as a tear drop seemed to go down the side of his head. "Oh yeah, good morning, Azalea. I noticed you slept for a while." He said with a growing chipper tone in his voice.
The next question perked his interest "Crud, well we could try using a pot and making a burner?...or just boiling them, I wish I knew some magic or something, or had a simple lighter or anything." He asked with a scratch of the head, he honestly didn't eat on the ship, he bought food from the main land, brought it on, survived off of that, and maybe if he was hungry tried to cook or boil any shrimp or fish he caught. Looking in his back pack he didn't really see anything he could use to cook it with, he could try taking the lens of his telescope and reflecting it off the sun to boil the water, or maybe burn some wood to use but he only had a few peace's of spare wood as he then got an idea.
"Oh yeah! I got some spare wood, just place that over the iron stove and we got something to use...wow I cant believe I forgot about that small thing..." He said, maybe because it was practically useless in making big meals and the fact that the small stove needed fuel/something to draw heat to actually make it work since the ship more or less ran on no power. Getting up Xavier took out a map as he pointed and began to explain to Azalea there current location and where they were headed, pointing to a spot that was misshaped it was Dosna island. He also indicated a few things like the sea current they were on and the soon to be weather which was indicated by a happy smiling sun.
"Well setting up a course were heading to Dosna island, unfortunately it will take some time to get there since this ship kinda sucks, but I predicted the sea currents and were on one now. Its gentle and will take us there no problem but its slow and that's why it till take us a while to get there, sorry if you didn't want to go there, um that's kinda a place where there might be a treasure located but to add as the name suggests its a place were we can train to fight and stuff." The young man threw up a punch into the air to demonstrate how excited he was to be heading there, smiling as he did so before placing the map away for now. "Next time you can chose the place we go to if you want?"
However as he spoke about this he felt something off happening, the clouds started to get a bit dark and things began to get less sunny than usual. "What?...normally my weather predictions weren't this bad, it as just sunny a minute ago..." Worried it would seem the sea was beginning to get shaky already in the span of a few minutes as Azalea hopped up on the railing. The spirit looking around as he playful expression turned sour as she got a bit serious. "Looks like a magically educed storm of some kind, I don't know who did it but its strong...we could go down, unfortunately I can't do anything to help you either in this kind of storm." The worry was heavy in her tone as the last thing she wanted was for him to die but at the same time she couldn't assist with much of anything as Xavier groaned and started to prepare the ship.
When things began to get serious was when Xavier felt most like he should take charge as he began to pull down the sails and rush to take control of the small vessel, the wind and rain beating across his face and clothes as he was soaked in a matter of seconds. "There's no logical way I can pass this storm normally...not with out all these waves, they are only getting bigger." Each time the ship crashed through a wave they would take on water, this happy go lucky trip turning into a life or death situation much sooner than most would expect as he panted in tired exposure to the elements while keeping the ship on the right course. "Xavier, be careful please...you should turn around or try to get away...or something." The girl worried a lot about him, after all he was kinda like a guardian for her in some ways which was odd given their relationship.
But what was true was that things wouldn't get any better and her worry was very well placed, ahead was a massive whirlpool which was already pulling the ship closer and closer in towards it. At this moment Xavier held the ship steady but knew he couldn't really escape. "Really...I didn't think I'd die to a little storm..." Sure it sounded morbid but he knew when to give up and when things would feel a bit too hopeless he came to terms with them rather quickly. Mean while Azalea bopped him on the head, making him flinch, he could feel any action she made against him. "Stop saying stuff like that! I wont let you become a spirit like me...no..." She growled as soon after a few moments more she would seem to seep into his soul again, this time as the ship was being pulled under in the vortex he held on however was simply waiting for himself to sink into the cold waters. The feeling of sleeping dulled his mind, only silence followed with the loud crackles of lighting from the storm above him.
------------------------------
Waking up wasn't hard though, as Xavier started to come too, no longer wet but groggy he started to groan as if he had been woken up from a great dream or a terrible nightmare. It was now that he was a bit on the concerned side, mostly because he noticed that he was not in the same place he was before, instead he was in a completely blank canvas which as he jumped to his feet he looked behind him only to see more white and a fountain next to him. He didn't call out but mentally he tried to reach Azalea which she spoke right away. "You don't have to say anything I already know, where ever we are this isn't the spirit world or a form of it, your very much alive still other wise I wouldn't be able to still link to your mortal body. However the problem is I don't know where we are now..." His spirit companion seemed to identify as he nodded in agreement.
"[color=blue]If I'm not dead, then this has to be some place I was transported too over a great amount of time, my clothes still smell like sea water but I'm not wet any more. Not to mention my wallet and money are a bit soggy, so that storm was in fact real but I don't know what to make of all this. I see doors however, we could go to them and see what is behind them." Taking a moment to look at the fountain he didn't pay it too much mind but he also wondered how in fact he got her in the first place. "Best to look around, no point in staying here forever." A bit scared, Azalea didn't want anything bad to happen but it seemed like things were odd and in a zone she couldn't' quite understand and neither did Xavier as Azalea went dormant for now as he took the lead.

Okor's infected eye blearily opened, its reddened surface covered in a milky film of unknown origin. How long was he unconscious? For how long had he been subject the Gods' unknowable whims? He pushed off of the stone floor, scratching its grey surface with skeletal claws that had grown in size since last he walked, cracking the brittle cocoon of corruption that had shrouded him. He staggered to his feet, still groggy with sleep, his head feeling as if it had been subjected to a great weight. Armour-cased feet, rotten through with gangrene and maggots, stumbled across the once-pristine floor, as the staff parted before him, fearful of his prior monstrous actions in the arena, fully aware of what abominable blessings his patron had bestowed upon him. Like wolves before sheep, he thought, disgusted by the weakness and softness of these people. They were indolent, cradled by the foul magicks that permeated the air. His fevered eye settled on one of the worst offenders, a pale, fat-jowled man with a paunch evident through his frill-adorned doublet, a truly massive ruff failing to disguise his double chin. The offense to Okor's spartan nature was oblivious to the ancient warrior advancing towards him, a strange, unfamiliar clacking sound emanating from his heavy footsteps. While the plague marine's movements were far from rapid, they were like lightning in comparison to his target. An arm, any pretense of flesh long gone, the radius and ulna clearly visible beneath pallid skin, slammed into the corpulent merchant's throat, his piggish eyes widening in panic, his skull impacting against the wall. The filthy surface of his horned helmet pressed into the poor excuse of a man's face, rivulets of sweat betraying the fear, growing like a cancer, in his heart. The Chosen of Nurgle spoke in a low, wet growl, corruption dripping from every painfully slow syllable. "Mirrors. Medicae. Where?" The man stuttered, evidently trying to come up with some empty threat related to his ephemeral, useless power. Okor did not believe in things he could not see, feel, kill. Words were wind, writing was nothing but scratches, and gold was nothing more than heavy, soft metal. Seeing the inhuman will evident in Okor's eyes, the merchant thought better of it, gesturing down the hallway towards what was presumably what passed for an apothecarium in this realm. He moved back his arm, and the waste of flesh collapsed, gasping and clutching at his throat. Chuckling darkly, laughing at cosmic jests only the dead can understand, the marine advanced down the corridor, a cloven hoof clomping against the cobblestones. If all people of this realm are as soft as he, this should be simple. It was easy to mistake an archaic lifestyle for a difficult one. They were coddled by their sorcery, kept aloft by nothing. They convinced reality itself to protect them, rather than pick up a sword. Would it be so simple to topple this kingdom as merely cutting off their connection to magic?
If only such a thing were so easy, he thought, stepping through the archway to the apothecarium.

Basically I need an Avatar and potentially a character portrait for my alt, sadly I can not find anything I like searching online that seems to really fit. I know there are a lot of talented artists on the site of all sorts, so this is basically my call to you all for help!
Basically I need something that fits along with his physical description and personality, it can be something you found, something you found and altered, and even something you drew yourself! Anything and everything helps. Hell, I wouldn't mind if a signature for him pops up out of this either, but that might just be me being hopeful.
I sadly can not draw worth a damn and know very few people who can sadly, those that can are swamped with commissions themselves at the moment.
So, yeah, help? Arts? You will have my undying love and devotion! Maybe. At least a firm respectful handshake.
Also if there is already a thread for this stuff I didn't see it. Sorry. Please don't hurt me.

The infirmary was mixed with three sorts of people. The first were Camelot's Finest, knights of the realm who all seemed to have a certain clout and dignity about them, yet still conveyed the message that all scuffles would be handled in the Arena, not out of it, or else. The second group were the infirmary staff, healers and nurses who'd cast spells and mixed potions in order to provide the best care possible to the third group, the Tournament Contestants. Black Mage found himself in this third category, though it was no surprise. He was never to be a knight in shining armor, nor the one who brought aid to those stumbling and broken. His talents laid in destruction. With the Warriors of Light he was a tool for good, a sword against the unflinching evil of the Four Fiends, but here? He wasn't sure. Only time would tell.
But time was not a commodity that the Black Mage truly had at the moment. The next match would be in only an hour, and while he needed to heal he also needed a plan. The cuts and slices would sew up at a decidedly unnatural pace as long as he didn't exert himself and kept dealing with the Camelot Medicine man, but how was he going to get his next opponent, this "Magus"? He needed another trick up his sleeve, another spell perhaps. What could he cast before that would help him fight another mage? The Warrior Of Light began to concentrate on his memory, but little did he know who might be around the corner, recovering from their matches as well . . .

Character name: Sleven
Character source: OC
Character history: Sleven is a man born and raised in the kingdom of Gamoria. While it currently remains a mystery how it was revealed, Sleven discovered at the age of 16 that he is a legendary hero - the Portal Knight. He was then told about the legend of the Portal Knight, and how they would go on a quest to find the Seven Swords to open a portal into Dark Wizard Salucan's tower, directly into the inner sanctum. After questioning why he couldn't just walk to the tower, enter the inner sanctum, and fight Salucan like that, thus voiding the need to find seven weapons that Salucan's minions are surely guarding, he was told that Salucan's power creates a barrier around the tower, preventing him from entering any other way but the portal.
So, then, he - given a small, 18 inch shortsword and a map of the 7 temples containing the swords - embarked on the journey to find the Seven Swords, starting with the Light Sword. Fighting through the Light Temple, Sleven battled against the Jellors - slime monsters - that had entered the temple, solved puzzles, and eventually defeated the Jellor Queen to gain access to the Light Sword.
Then, he journeyed into the Shadow Temple. Finding the temple completely bathed in darkness on the inside, Sleven equipped the Light Sword to illuminate the area around him. Battling skeletons throughout the temple, the Portal Knight ended up coming face to face with a giant, skeletal scorpion with a gem in its tail. Originally being forced to retreat, Sleven battled it a second time to find out that the gem is what keeps the undead in the temple within the mortal coil. The warrior then broke the gem, causing the scorpion to fall apart. He then advanced past the slain beast, collecting the Shadow Sword.
Next, he moved to the Rock Temple. Sighting no way what-so-ever that the Shadow Sword had anything to do with the Rock Temple, he put the Shadow Sword away and just kept swinging the Light Sword. Defeating the Rock Spiders of the Temple, Sleven entered the next room to find the next giant monster - an eight-limbed rock golem with glowing points on its arms. Finding out that the glowing spot on each of the golem's arms is a weak point, he attacked the weak spot when the golem got it's arm stuck in the ground. Finding that the Light Sword and the shortsword had no effect on the beast, Sleven drew the Shadow Sword and used it to attack the weak points, eventually disarming all 6 of the golem's arms and defeating it. He then walked into the room with the Rock Sword and grabbed onto the hilt...
And that...was when he was brought into the Omniverse.
