Shifting Waters - Ricter - 10-24-2015

On the high seas the waters had a slight calmness to them as they crashed on the sides of the small boat that could at least house 2-3 people in it with no troubles. Bellow the waters were a school of fish, migrating to more shallow area's as the small boat passed on by, on the boat there seemed to be only a few details. It had no mast or really no real way to change directions if the crew needed to do so, it was extremely small but had at least one room to rest and do what ever. The wood it was made out of was basic and slightly furnished with the salt of the sea, giving it a old and drawn out look about it. On the inside was a simple bed, a desk with a few papers and charts on it as well as a chest with notably someone's belongings inside of it, neatly tucked over into the corner.

On the out-side a young man was groaning and trying to do something on the side of the boat as he sat on the railing to the left side of the small ship. Having a rod in his hads and pulling up on it he was having a sea battle with probably a very large fish as he kept pulling on the line. "err...a-almost got i-it~!...crap this thing weighs a ton!" he said with an irritated expression as the fish almost pulled him right into the water a few times as this tug of war continued for a little while. Soon he planted his feet on the railing as he used the fish's opposite force to keep him from falling back as he tugged with a strong pull, from the depths of the sea bellow he finally was able to reel in what ever it was and as he pulled it out of the water with a large splash he examined it with a shocked expression.

Picking it up with actually little to no trouble he gave a teary eyed expression as it was a shrimp, he was more sad that it put up so much of a fight that it left him using most of his strength to bring it out than the fact that all he had been catching was shrimps as he threw it into the bucket of 3-4 shrimps that all put him threw hell. Sniffling he whipped his eyes, giving off crocodile tears, "Oh come on, cant catch something in proportion to how much work I put into it??" He said with an annoyed tone as he looked over to the small sea creatures, that would at least keep them alive till they made it to karate island, there next stop as he already planed out everything.

They were riding a current he picked up with his weather tool to predict the change in sea currents, he also mapped out the different courses and what time they would change, evaluating it would be about a full day or two till they would get there. All this being from just a hour of working on the next location to go to, showing a bit of how good a navigator he was as he didn't even have to control the boat thanks to the current they were in. Looking into the bucket he grumbled at his meager catches, feeling really weak as he pouted now and folded his arms.

From inside of the young adult someone would seem to space out into existence, as if she or it was part of him this whole time. Azalea, who was all in all mouse spirit that looked to be as tall as a young girl but also was shaped in body like one, looked over at his apparently epic struggle and smiled a bit, well he seemed to be having fun...well maybe fun wasn't the right word she decided as she seen him trying his hardest to reel in whatever it was on the end of the line he had cast earlier, thought she hopped it would be to better results then what he had been getting, thought you couldn't fault the guy for trying with so many fish swimming below them, it was quite tempting to start fishing and hope for the best, it was of course the hope to catch a few of the large ones swimming below them, and she looked back at the ongoing struggle of man versus....well what whatever he managed to catch this time

As he toppled over and managed to finally get the fish out of the water Azalea started to giggle actually rolling around a bit "the epic battle of shrimp versus shrimp, Xavier I have no Idea what your doing to keep in shape but you might wanna change the regime if your having trouble with these little tiny things." she said with a playful giggle as she pats him on the back, "look at the good news you managed to catch a decent amount right?" she motioned to the shrimp as she sat down near the bucket "it's a good catch and they are rather large for shrimp" with a smile she lifted one up and examined it, it was quite large for a shrimp. For a spirit she was able to interact slightly with things around her, but only things that didn't have a strong spirit. Humans and other large creatures were impossible for her, dead things and objects took a bit of work to actually move while she was in a ghostly state.

"So...how we going to cook this wonderful bounty~?" asked with a playful smile as she put the shrimp back in the bucket, and looked at the navigator, the boat was small that was certain but it would be enough room for the two of them for now, they would need a new one eventually thought, and granted the 'two of them' was basically just him as he was the only living thing on the ship next to the small shrimp he fished up just recently. "...and you never told me where we are headed." she mentioned as she stood back up and looked over the side then back at him asking him politely as she stretched a bit. She was tiny and actually quite adorable actually, if it wasn't for her being nearly 100 years old she would be pretty charming as a kid, but this was only and act and she could change her form to something more annoying or appealing but it was always a mouse, mostly because that's what she was born as.

"I'm not that weak, the shrimp, it's like uh super strong...or got wedged into some rocks maybe? Besides if ti wasn't for you I'd kinda bed dead now...your strength is my strength in a way." Xavier retorted, trying to make up an excuse for his not so strong body as he felt the pat on his back, turning around to look at Azalea as he was still sitting on the deck of the boat he saw that she was examining the shrimp he caught. It was kind big, bigger than his hand at least, but still he couldn't help but wonder how could such a little thing end up putting on such a battle against him? Looking at his arms for a moment he flexed them but by the look of it he was more or less very weak and skinny too as a tear drop seemed to go down the side of his head. "Oh yeah, good morning, Azalea. I noticed you slept for a while." He said with a growing chipper tone in his voice.

The next question perked his interest "Crud, well we could try using a pot and making a burner?...or just boiling them, I wish I knew some magic or something, or had a simple lighter or anything." He asked with a scratch of the head, he honestly didn't eat on the ship, he bought food from the main land, brought it on, survived off of that, and maybe if he was hungry tried to cook or boil any shrimp or fish he caught. Looking in his back pack he didn't really see anything he could use to cook it with, he could try taking the lens of his telescope and reflecting it off the sun to boil the water, or maybe burn some wood to use but he only had a few peace's of spare wood as he then got an idea.

"Oh yeah! I got some spare wood, just place that over the iron stove and we got something to use...wow I cant believe I forgot about that small thing..." He said, maybe because it was practically useless in making big meals and the fact that the small stove needed fuel/something to draw heat to actually make it work since the ship more or less ran on no power. Getting up Xavier took out a map as he pointed and began to explain to Azalea there current location and where they were headed, pointing to a spot that was misshaped it was Dosna island. He also indicated a few things like the sea current they were on and the soon to be weather which was indicated by a happy smiling sun.

"Well setting up a course were heading to Dosna island, unfortunately it will take some time to get there since this ship kinda sucks, but I predicted the sea currents and were on one now. Its gentle and will take us there no problem but its slow and that's why it till take us a while to get there, sorry if you didn't want to go there, um that's kinda a place where there might be a treasure located but to add as the name suggests its a place were we can train to fight and stuff." The young man threw up a punch into the air to demonstrate how excited he was to be heading there, smiling as he did so before placing the map away for now. "Next time you can chose the place we go to if you want?"

However as he spoke about this he felt something off happening, the clouds started to get a bit dark and things began to get less sunny than usual. "What?...normally my weather predictions weren't this bad, it as just sunny a minute ago..." Worried it would seem the sea was beginning to get shaky already in the span of a few minutes as Azalea hopped up on the railing. The spirit looking around as he playful expression turned sour as she got a bit serious. "Looks like a magically educed storm of some kind, I don't know who did it but its strong...we could go down, unfortunately I can't do anything to help you either in this kind of storm." The worry was heavy in her tone as the last thing she wanted was for him to die but at the same time she couldn't assist with much of anything as Xavier groaned and started to prepare the ship.

When things began to get serious was when Xavier felt most like he should take charge as he began to pull down the sails and rush to take control of the small vessel, the wind and rain beating across his face and clothes as he was soaked in a matter of seconds. "There's no logical way I can pass this storm normally...not with out all these waves, they are only getting bigger." Each time the ship crashed through a wave they would take on water, this happy go lucky trip turning into a life or death situation much sooner than most would expect as he panted in tired exposure to the elements while keeping the ship on the right course. "Xavier, be careful please...you should turn around or try to get away...or something." The girl worried a lot about him, after all he was kinda like a guardian for her in some ways which was odd given their relationship.

But what was true was that things wouldn't get any better and her worry was very well placed, ahead was a massive whirlpool which was already pulling the ship closer and closer in towards it. At this moment Xavier held the ship steady but knew he couldn't really escape. "Really...I didn't think I'd die to a little storm..." Sure it sounded morbid but he knew when to give up and when things would feel a bit too hopeless he came to terms with them rather quickly. Mean while Azalea bopped him on the head, making him flinch, he could feel any action she made against him. "Stop saying stuff like that! I wont let you become a spirit like me...no..." She growled as soon after a few moments more she would seem to seep into his soul again, this time as the ship was being pulled under in the vortex he held on however was simply waiting for himself to sink into the cold waters. The feeling of sleeping dulled his mind, only silence followed with the loud crackles of lighting from the storm above him.

------------------------------

Waking up wasn't hard though, as Xavier started to come too, no longer wet but groggy he started to groan as if he had been woken up from a great dream or a terrible nightmare. It was now that he was a bit on the concerned side, mostly because he noticed that he was not in the same place he was before, instead he was in a completely blank canvas which as he jumped to his feet he looked behind him only to see more white and a fountain next to him. He didn't call out but mentally he tried to reach Azalea which she spoke right away. "You don't have to say anything I already know, where ever we are this isn't the spirit world or a form of it, your very much alive still other wise I wouldn't be able to still link to your mortal body. However the problem is I don't know where we are now..." His spirit companion seemed to identify as he nodded in agreement.

"[color=blue]If I'm not dead, then this has to be some place I was transported too over a great amount of time, my clothes still smell like sea water but I'm not wet any more. Not to mention my wallet and money are a bit soggy, so that storm was in fact real but I don't know what to make of all this. I see doors however, we could go to them and see what is behind them.
" Taking a moment to look at the fountain he didn't pay it too much mind but he also wondered how in fact he got her in the first place. "Best to look around, no point in staying here forever." A bit scared, Azalea didn't want anything bad to happen but it seemed like things were odd and in a zone she couldn't' quite understand and neither did Xavier as Azalea went dormant for now as he took the lead.

Re: Shifting Waters - Ricter - 10-25-2015

The endless expanse of what he knew as more or less some unknown space or form of reality seemed to go on for a very long time, he walked in only one direction and after nearly 30 minutes he had run into nothing, however he could see a small speck of what seemed like something important. But stopping Azalea would actually wonder why he didn't continue walking as Xavier began to evaluate what was exactly going on right now, "What's the matter? getting tired?" The mouse girl asked as she looked up at him, clearly still worried about their current circumstances but at the same time it wasn't like her worrying would get them places. She knew the spirit realm fairly well in their reality at least, this was not it, and if Xavier had died she wouldn't be able to really be able to hang out in his body and mingle with his soul in such a way.

"I don't know about all this, been walking for a good while and haven't found much, only those dots in the distance are worth looking at. Not to mention I haven't really gained an answer as to what I'm doing here and what came from me nearly drowning to me being here in this alternate form of reality, I'm going to take a guess that this is some kind of magic that's trapping me here. Other wise who ever made that storm was as powerful as a time space wizard." Xavier's deductions were good but he still had no grounds for them and most importantly he was confused about what was actually going on here. He could be walking in circles after all with no end in sight, but taking a breather he would look around and take out his sell phone, it seemed to work still however trying to call one of his friends ended up with no answer as he was out of the area.

His reality was pretty simple, it was as modern as the real world however with some advances, humans and monsters existed and had their own races branched around, this included aliens and even animals that walked on two legs like Azalea. This due to many things but it was all well balanced and even then not many things here might surprise him by that factor, besides his friend was a ghost after all, this would normally freak people out if he mentioned anything like it to a normal person. "No reception in this place either, and I don't even think anyone comes around here too often, its a pretty big space too and seems roughly up to chance wither you get out or not unless you walk in one direction for hours."

Clearly annoyed by what was going on he simply rolled his eyes and placed his phone into his pocket, from there he would simply begin walking along down the roads of all white to a near by door. He knew it might take a while but at this moment he didn't too much care, mean while Azalea was sitting on his shoulders, hugging his head a bit as the mouse girl smiled. "What do you think we'll find here? If this is some kind of odd magic we'll eventually get out of it I think. But I don't think it is, other wise I'd be immune to it given that I'm a spirit." "True, but it could be a powerful illusion too, really now it could be anything and really it might be best to keep walking to the dots in the distance, eventually we'll find out something. But for now lets go along with it." "Hm...alright, I hope there's no monsters around here, I'd hate to get into a fight so early into coming into this new place."

With eyes filled with wonder the girl was obviously happy to be able to see new things, this was the reason why they traveled around a lot, but this was a bit much and Xavier liked to be in control of his destination to a degree. Eventually an hour passed and the dot was nearly making out a shape, it looked like some kind of door and by the size of it - it was massively large. Keeping his walking pace he wouldn't' stop walking across the endless expanse to the location designated, he wanted to actually see what would be behind such a thing and what exactly did he get himself into.

The Bounty Hunter Ninja Come-ith! - Amber Veritz - 10-25-2015

"Um...How's the pay?" The sentence uttered from her mouth looking unempressed at the buyers appearance. "You don't exactly have the appearance of a loaded buyer. I mean why do you have to come to me dressed in a hooded robe and-" Her voice was cut off at the sound of two golden bags tossed at her feet, making her eyes widen. "I do not care how you do it. I don't care what it takes." Said the hooded woman with red eyes, "make it happen and I will triple that pay." Teal whipped up the money without hesitation. "Yes! Yes, you'll see him next time in a casket. Although, might I ask why you would want to spend so much money on one person?" The hooded woman stared blankly at Teal. "This man threatens peace everywhere on Quotin, if you destroy him, you will be a hero." Teal's expression turned hysterical. A hero? The very thought nearly made her burst out in laughter. "Ha! A hero?! I could care less as long as you pay me. Fine! I'll take care of this man." Teal vanished out of no where, leaving the hooded woman alone. She removed her hood, revealing her familiar face to the Omniverse. Queen Snow of the Shadeclaws.

Teal was back in her 'secret lair' hidden in the thick forest. Being a bounty hunter was dangerous so she tried to stay away from towns the best she could unless on mission or in need of supplies. She took her mask off, revealing the scar that covered the lower half of her face and began thinking of a plan for this person the odd woman wanted dead. The word hero ran through her mind many a times. She snickered at the sound of it, "heroes, the world doesn't need heroes. It needs activists who will stand up for thier causes. One person can't be entrusted with such difficult tasks alone." She went over her gathered information of her mark she received from her buyer. Shocked to see who she was being paid to kill, she realized why the woman was paying so much: The man she was paid to kill, is King Miron of Illumina. "I-I can't collect the head of a king alone. That's impossible, I have no allys to help me in this either." Her mind wandered as she pondered what she could do to take this man down. She may have to hire some extra meat to make a distraction for her while she went for the king.

Lost in thought, the girl put her mask back on. "I will retire to bed for now, maybe tomorrow I will have an idea for this raid. She was walking to her bedroom, when the floor miraculously turned black and she started to fall. "Wh-What the hell?! What kind of magic is this?! Who is there?!" Her screams fell on deaf ears as no one responded to her calls. It seemed like she was alone, until she saw the giant faceless being. "Who in the hell are you? What have you done with my base?!"Her eyes widened in remembrance of her money she had been saving up. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY GOLD DAMN YOU, ANSWER ME!" The white being called himself 'Omni' and spoke of a world called the Omniverse. Was this a fucking nightmare? Maybe she was just sleeping, or maybe someone had stabbed her in the back and she was now dead going into the after life. Omni spoke of his worlds rules and about what his world was. Then without any warning, she was falling down to a fountain in an area made of complete whiteness. "What the hell? It looks like Illumina times a thousand." It was only now that Teal realized she was plummeting to the ground at increasing speed. "Shiiiiiiiiit!!!" She braced herself for impact. Just before she hit the ground, she thrusted her body into a flip and landed on her feet crouching. Dust flew up everywhere and cleared after a few seconds.

She stood and observed her surroundings. "Heh, well I'll be damned. I must be the most unlucky human on the face of the verses. Two times have I crossed the gaps into a new world." With closer observation, Teal took notice of a tall, dark haired man seemingly he was just starting off his adventure in this world. She couldn't be the only one drug her, it was too well played out to be a co-incidence. Staying here would get any bounties claimed. She lost all her earnings, so the only thing to do was start over. The young kunoichi did her best to catch up with the man in the distance, which was quite easy. Her speed was magnified by that from Quotin. It seemed as though she could run as fast as a cheetah. "Hey! Excuse me, sir!" She called out to the man in the distance, "wait up! I have some questions to ask you!"

Re: Shifting Waters - Ricter - 10-25-2015

Walking slowly as he took his time to get to his destination Xavier seemed to be traveling alone but murmuring things to himself, when in reality he was simply talking to Azalea as he paced himself. "You should get a hair cut Xavier, your hairs shaggy and getting longer." She would say mentally to him, the spirit still sitting on his shoulders as she played with his hair. "My hairs fine, and we should worry more about what's around us rather than how long my hair's getting." Though trying to keep a level head about everything he was honestly a bit worried that this odd existence was just some kind of trick and that they were about to be in store for more pain in the coming future. But what would catch his attention in the future would be the voice of someone that wasn't Azalea as he stopped and turned on his heels around to the figure who was rapidly approaching.

Sure he was walking but he could easily tell she could probably out speed him if he was in a race with the hooded woman, which he found to be a bit odd to find someone in here like this but he didn't judge it too much. The Kunoichi's request to speak with him catching his attention as he stood in place and looked to her as he didn't know what to say exactly, mean while Azalea had hopped off Xavier's shoulders and began to examine the woman as she came up to them. Being a spirit if she had some kind of higher sense she could easily see the little chibi anthro-mouse spirit as she looked her up and down. "Xavier I don't know if you should trust her right away, only thief's and scary people wear masks." She teased in her own adorable yet serious way as Xavier only mentally snickered to this, really he wouldn't' judge right away, besides if she was out to get them he didn't too much fear death. Probably because he knew life after death was just him becoming a spirit, so he responded.

"Quite honestly I have a lot of questions myself, though I don't mind telling you what I know at the very least. I'm Xavier by the way, I'm going to guess you found yourself waking up here too right?" He asked casually in his normal tone, which was pretty calm for what was going on. Mean while Azalea pouted as she growled a bit, "Stop being so casual! She could be evil, look at her clothes, it screams 'I'm gona stab you!', why don't you ever listen to me?" She responded, which Xavier glanced in her direction and grumbled a bit, in his world spirits were a normal thing, some people could see them while the old half couldn't but could if they learned how. So he didn't think it was too weird to speak up. "Because that's not nice to say, stop being mean, Azalea. It will be alright. Oh and sorry my spirit friend is kinda a little kid at times, are you one of those people that can see spirits?"

Asking of course he wanted to be sure he wasn't acting rude, and really if she couldn't he could easily allow her to be seen and heard, she would probably be angry at him for doing so but it was good to have three minds on this problem than just two and one that couldn't be heard. Leaving the floor open to the Kunoichi he would wonder who exactly was she, and actually what was her question as he nearly forgot she wished to ask something from him as he had started a small conversation already after his introduction that is. "Uh sorry I kinda skipped past your wish to ask a question, I'm all ears for it." Giving a simple soft smile he tried to be pretty friendly, as he normally was, mean while his attention shifted completely to the woman now as he waited for her response.

Re: Shifting Waters - Amber Veritz - 10-26-2015

Teal could not see this other being but she did not doubt there was one. She's been through much more shit through two worlds, nothig really surprises her "I cannot see your spirit friend, but I don't doubt that they exist." She acted quite calm herself. "I merely wished to know if you were familiar with this world more than I. I fell through the floor of my home and met this giant white god thing. Then all I knew was that I was falling from the sky and plummeting to the ground." Her red eyes glew from under hood. "My manners. Apologies. I am The Teal Kunoichi, bounty hunter assassin and vigilante." She bowed over to him and removed her hood. Her blue hair shined in the sunlight. "I am originally from Earth but I somehow crossed dimensions into the world of the elements. Now I am here. Pleased to meet you." She stood from her bow and reached out to shake his hand.

Re: Shifting Waters - Ricter - 10-26-2015

"The pleasure is mine, though do you mind if I call you Teal? I'd think stringing together your entire title all the time would get a bit old haha." Giving a light bow himself he did take a moment to look over the kunoichi for a moment. She looked to be a bit shorter than himself but given her title and stated skills in assassination he knew she must be fairly skilled in what she dose, not only this but it seemed she might have gained her name based on appearances but seeing her blue hair give a glisten on the sun light it made it easier to notice how she looked over her hood. But listening to her speak a bit more he nodded and started to see a pattern in how this all came to being, he wasn't greeted by a massive white god thing but instead he felt like he was drowning for a bit and then ended up waking here.

"I see, well I'm unfortunately in the same boat as you really, I was simply sailing to another island when a storm engulfed my ship and spiraled me into a whirlpool, next thing I knew I was here. I thought I was dead at first but she confirmed I wasn't, so may be this 'white god' figure you saw is maybe the culprit of all this and has been dragging people into this white blankness that is a 'reality'?" He asked as he spit balled some idea's while trying to assist her in some kind of way with what he at least knew. Mean while Azalea was busy circling the Kunoichi like a shark, pouting and examining her up and down, "I'm on to you, Teal...your not assassinating no one while I got eyes on ya!" Sure herself and Xavier were also similar to vigilante's too as they have been in only small monster fights but those were monsters in the wild, nothing too amazing.

Smirking to Azalea as she got overly paranoid he would then ask, "I noticed there are doors here, they are extremely far away though and honestly might take a while on foot, I don't think I'm as fast as you are but if you wouldn't mind maybe we can travel together for a bit. No pressure, but it would be better to learn things when they come our way as a pair- uh trio, instead of alone." His little correction was met with the mouse girl hitting his hip as he rubbed the space but hopped she would come out of her playfulness soon as he accepted the small strike. "On a side note my friends name is Azalea, she probably wont reveal herself till she trusts you...which right now she thinks your up to no good." This was followed up with a loud "Damn right I do!" from her and a small sigh from Xavier who simply adjusted his hat.

Re: Shifting Waters - Amber Veritz - 10-26-2015

His response was enough for her to go off. When he mentioned travelling together, Teal's ears perked up. She remember her problem with the kings bounty. A companion or two would be great. "Yes. Three heads are better than one. Trust me, if I wanted to kill you, I wouldn't have approached you so openly. Right?" She revealed her weapons, the gauntlets and her shurikens. She reached out and handed him her shurikens. "Gauntlets are on safety and you can have my shurikens. I hope that helps you trust me more." She allowed him to lead. "Go ahead. I'll follow you for now."

Re: Shifting Waters - Lubbock - 10-26-2015

Quote:THE INFORMANT ARRIVES!

Lubbock continued on his steed, the distance between him and Rose becoming greater and greater. He resisted the urge to turn tail and begin an adventure with the musician; he wanted to get to know her more, but his heart told him her adventures were her own, at least for the time being.

"You miss the girl already." Syura noted in his head, not teasingly but more so condoling. The assassin forced out a sigh and reached up to brush away the curtain of green blocking his left eye. "Yeah... I do. I was kinda hoping I could have talked to her more, she seemed like a really nice girl..." He swept his hand around to the side of his face, feeling the six lines still entrenched in his cheek. "Well... she was kinda violent at first, but I wouldn't have expected any less. I just... I just wish that I could have been able to stay with her longer." He reminisced over the meeting.

"I see... was she any different to the other girls you have befriended here?" Syura asked, and Lubbock flushed crimson, mimicking the look of a tomato. "C-cut the psychotherapy crap!" He shouted, bowing his head down into the saddle of his horse. When his vision raised once more, though, he noticed two unfamiliar figures in the distance. He found it challenging to make the two out at his distance though, so he plunged a heel into the side of his transport and the animal began to canter towards the two silhouettes.

Coming to a halt some ten meters from the two, he managed to analyse the looks of both of them. One was a tall man, obviously a young adult, with shaggy black hair and a pair of cat ears sprouting from his head, while the other seemed to be some kind of assassin, not unlike Lubbock, garbed in a cyan colouring... he couldn't recall the exact name for the shade.

Dismounting his vehicle, Lubbock slid his hands into his coat pockets and approached the two as the ninja handed over a set of throwing stars to the cat man. He managed to catch minuscule amounts of their conversation, but he put the puzzle pieces together nonetheless; they were both new Primes. As such, the assassin had his entrance all planned out.

"And the informant arrives!" He shouted, a grin plastered across his lips as he halted before the duo, his legs square to the Primes. "New Primes, huh? Looks like I get to show some more newbies around!" He teased, sliding a hand out of his pocket and throwing them a jesting salute. "The name's Lubbock. Nice to meet ya!"

Re: Shifting Waters - Ricter - 10-26-2015

"True." Xavier said in agreement to what the Kunoichi stated about attacking him prior, he knew she could easily have done so if she wished before even meeting him and this seemed to calm down Azalea, at least slightly. "I guess that is sorda true, alright she's off the hook for now, but I'm still going to be watching her." The mouse girl would say as she folded her arms, walking to Xavier's side as he was actually happy about this, she was warming up to her quicker than most other people but it still might be a little while before she would actually show herself. Not to mention now that they were leaving as a pair/trio it would mean they wouldn't have too much to worry about given her previously stated skills, however as she offered her weapons to him he politely turned them down and gave them back to her.

"No need to go that far, I believe you, besides if something happens I don't want to be holding on to your weapons when your better suited to using them." He said as he gave her a bit of his trust, mean while Azalea was no longer pouting and sighed as she gave a soft smile, happy to see what she had as weapons and things of that nature. "Well the kunoishi part of her name fits, she's sorda like a ninja, hmm...I wonder what her face looks like?" The interested mouse stated as Xavier smiled and would soon follow up form his previous response. "Alright lets get goi- uh..." Before he could even turn around fully it seemed like someone else was heading towards them, this place wasn't as dull and empty as he first thought by the looks of it.

Stepping up towards them a man known as Lubbock had spoken to them both, labeling himself as an informant as well as labeling them both as 'Primes' which Xavier had no clue what that is. With his introduction, as well as slight mentions of what was going on, being over he would rub his head, his hat still there as he spoke. "Hello there, and its a pleasure to meet you, Lubbock. I'm Xavier, you seem to know a lot more than the both of it. Mind giving us a bit of information about this place if you can?" He asked politely as Azalea walked over to him, the spirit looking him up and down and poking at him on his side gently, he wouldn't feel anything but slightly itchy in that spot, kinda like those random times you think you feel something but its nothing.

"I don't know what to think about this guy, but he has a thing we can travel in, and walking is boring, lets go with him Xavier!" She would say as she seemed to beg, Xavier's eyes looked over to her for a second as he mentally talked to her. "[I]I'll ask another time, for now its better to be polite than asking questions about hitching a ride right away.[I]"

Re: Shifting Waters - Amber Veritz - 10-31-2015

Teal recalled the word Azalea. She grinned thinking of memories in Azalea. "The world I came from had a country called Azalea. It is home to giant migratory trees and mountains. A beautiful country to any eye, especially from the capital which was built on top of the highest mountain in Azalea. The poeple who lived there were half golem-half humans. Probably the second nicest race in all of Quotin, behind my race the Akame. Although, I'm special. I was drug from the human world into a new world and reborn as a tri-blood. I'm 1/3 demon, 1/3 shadow, and 1/3 human."

Teal went silent as a man approached them. A green headed boy with what seemed like no weapons. Out of reflex and reaction, she rose her shurikens ready to attack. "Who are you? State your business." Her straight face went back to it's more calmed expression as it was before when he mentions his name and talk of 'Showing the newbies around'. This man understands this world. We will most definately need him to travel with us.

Teal returned her shurikens to her pack and held out her left hand to shake Lubbock's. "Nice to meet ya. The names Teal, The Teal Kunoichi. I am an ace bounty hunter from the elemental realm of Quotin. 35 bounties claimed and still counting. This world is sure to have bounties listed somewhere. I, however, do NOT harm children. I will not kill anyone under the age of 15. It is cowardly and is against my morals. Anyways, Lubbock. That's not much of a common name, hunh? Your hair is lovely shade of green." She smiled to him covering her body up with her long cloak but leaving the hood down.

Re: Shifting Waters - Ricter - 11-01-2015

Hearing Teal begin to talk about the word Azalea as well as It being a country in her own home world he began to notice some odd similarities, so she wasn't apart of his world as that country didn't exist at all. The word Azalea being a simple flower in his world while the reason for why his mouse friend was named as such was because it was the offering he had given her when she was nothing but a tiny little mouse spirit. Capable of doing very little but after so many years she had helped him from dying mostly as his sickness would have taken hold some years into his youth if it wasn't for her.

Wow a whole country named after me? That sounds amazing, maybe one day we can visit her worlds and I can take the throne as the soul ruler of Azalea land! Though odd golem people sound weird, maybe it would be better if they were mice or animals maybe.” Of course the girl was just being silly but Xavier couldn't help but smirk at what she said, however listening to the rest of it he would care to mention as to what the country's name would mean in his world. But that would be after they gave introductions to the mysterious man who appeared in front of them, one that knew about their troubles and could actually help them both hopefully.

Xavier also found it interesting about her race, she was a mix of many traits and while he was also a bit mixed himself he didn't have any demonic qualities at all. “I was born as what you can see now, my father was a cat and my mom was human more or less, and no not a full on cat but human sized. Also the name Azalea is related to a flower where I'm from, it's linked to vitality which is a bit ironic.” He said, the word escaping him at the moment, but every time he explained who his parents were he found it hard given that most would think he was a simple cat boy, or neko as some would say. Which was accurate given his tail and ears, which he sometimes tried to hide under his hat as people tended to wana grab them for some reason, they were sensitive so he did his best to keep them away from people.

It was then that he noticed Teal had actually got ready to fight, though he would try to stop any battles form sprouting up quickly he was not much of a full on fighter. Sure he fought monsters out in the fields and was skilled in simple hand to hand combat to a somewhat alright degree he wasn't sure he could break up a battle between the two of them. But luckily the mans introduction did wondering in eliminating tension and allowed them to talk a bit, or at least by what the Kunoichi wished to do as instead of a fight she wished for his aid. Which he knew was a great idea as he only knew as much as she did, who knows what could be lying behind those doors if he opened one and ended up in some forbidden hell where fruits eat people and people are the vegi's.

Her demand to know who he was though was a bit direct though, it made him think she must be very careful of who she speaks too as well as how she go's about her business. Skipping past that however what she spoke about next was a number of things as she placed away her weapons into her pack and offered the man her hand to shake, giving her name or title of her name which he would probably call her by as he did the same. But as she began to talk he started to find out more about the woman, more so about her occupation and also how she operated and worked, not to mention some hints as to how skilled she was possibly.

That's a lot of bounties, hey Xavier didn't we turn in a few bounties in the past?” “Yeah we did but it was simply ones, people smuggling monsters around, some crazy guy trying to summon demon's into a village, nothing on the scale she is on though. Most we've done is around 4.” “So that means shes probably more experienced, hm, maybe I should be her spirit and help Teal now. She could use my powers way better than you can.” “Just wait till she realizes you don’t really have many powers and your just a normal spirit, besides she'll have to learn about 'Favor' and things like that.” He mentally explained to his companion as he listened to her talk about her life as well as what she wouldn't allow herself to do.

Unfortunately Xavier was a bit different in that respect, while he was alright with fighting youth he had a slightly hard time killing them, but he would if he had too. Besides he knew what waited for them on the other side thanks to Azalea and in most cases he had sent some people to the afterlife, monsters and some bandits of course, but he has yet to willingly kill a child. Speaking of which he just realized something, “Hey Azalea could you find a means of entering the spirit realm here?” “Huh? Well I could try, it will take a while since I don’t know where the heck were at, but if there is a spiritual link anywhere in this universe I should be able to find it. Just give me some time when your doing what ever and I'll concentrate on it.” “Okay, I'll leave you too it.” With another mental conversation done he would look back to the duo in front of him.

What she would do to try and get to the spirit realm was a bit confusing, not to mention difficult when you had no real basis around this area. She was going to contact any lingering spirits using her own mental abilities, he had none of his own and couldn’t tap into them, at least yet that is, till she granted him that. So in the long run he could be able to try and contact spirits himself though these means but he was still very much learning and still had some ways to go before he would actually become fairly strong in that case. The reason why he was having her do this was because he would like to know if there was in fact a place he could possibly go to increase Azalea's power a bit as she got stronger the more she hung around latent spiritual representations. Such as shrines who have no owners any more, or places were lessor spirits have died and passed away, the spirit world where he was from was dangerous and he sometimes had to accompany her if things went wrong, so here if such a place existed he would have to do the same of course.

While having Azalea focus on that he on the other hand would focus on actually finding out whats going on right now and maybe about what they could possibly do while here. He wanted to go find a means out of this all white room which he could barely tell what was up and down if not for the doors in the distance and the 'floor' they had been walking on. But in the end he could put all his hopes that this wasn't some soon to be sad existence for the group of them. For now he would simply wait for the man to speak up about what his experiences here would show forth and also for him to tell them both about this odd place they were kidnapped and taken too. Part of him was annoyed for the fact that he was taken away from his home world but maybe he would grow to like this place, of course not this place exactly but maybe other places here that's for sure.

Re: Shifting Waters - Lubbock - 11-04-2015

The first to speak was the mystifying hybrid boy, or Xavier as he haphazardly introduced himself. The saluting hand switched to a friendly wave towards the cat boy as Lubbock's grin only cut across his cheeks further. "Well met, Xavier." He greeted the boy. "First time I've seen someone who actually has cat bits, but hey! There ain't a problem with that." He exclaimed to his face, not bothering to keep his words in order. "Surely, Lubbock," Syura gave a raspy sigh, a possible incorporeal eyebrow twitching. "you must have been able to make that sound a whole lot less rude." The voice scolded, but Lubbock kept up his visage nonetheless. Oh, shut up you prick.

Shaking his head to hopefully knock some assholeyness out of Syura, Lubbock spoke again. "Yeah, sure, I know a bit about the place... I'm still kinda new, I guess? Compared to a bunch of other Primes, yeah!" He admitted, before his smile shifted from excited to soft, his right hand idly scratching his side. "I'd be more than happy to show the two of you around. I'm kinda lonely at the moment." The assassin offered, telling a porky in the process. "BULLSHIT you're lonely!" Syura exploded like a volcano. "I've been here this entire damn time, trying to be company and what do I-"

A gasp echoed in Lubbock's head.

Syura? Syura, you okay? What is it? Lubbock asked, resisting trembling... but his smile began to show signs of mental discord. A second or two passed, until a cough signaled the voice's return. "Look at the boy, Xavier's shoulder... do you see what I see?" He asked in a futile whisper; no one could hear him anyway. Confusion warped Lubbock's face, finally displaying his lack of concentration on the situation. Hmm... nope, don't see nothin'... Lubbock responded, as if disappointed with the lack of climax. Syura grunted, "Alright then... carry on." He offered, and the assassin cleared his throat, taking the ninja's hand in his own.

"The pleasure's mine, Teal." Lubbock flirted, followed by a unappreciative growl from Syura. He reeled his hand back in and began to tap his chin as he mused. "Thirty five, huh... well, aren't I glad I don't have a bounty here! I'd be in some pretty deep shit, I'm sure." Lubbock admitted, now carefree about revealing his past occupation. "We're not all that different, honestly. I was an assassin back where I'm from... our group was charged with slaying demons in human clothing... sending those with power in the Capital straight back from whence they came." The assassin droned on dramatically, but emotion was not omitted from his speech.

Lubbock was about to say something further, before he locked up for a moment as Teal complimented his hair colour; that was a first, and the fact that Lubbock began to melt over was the fact that it was from a female. However, a resilient assassin must not show weakness! Rather than responding to the sentiment, he chose to take a step backwards in her sentence. "Y-yeah," It was a challenge to fight the intense stutter overcoming him. "I know, right? I have no idea where it comes from, but I'm personally fond of it." He made an obvious shot at prompting the ninja, but certainly withstood any suspense.

The assassin lent a practised ear to Xavier's origin... or more so his feline features' origin. "Figures." Lubbock commented nonchalantly. "I mean, the only other way would really be a curse, right?" He obliviously offered. "I mean, there can't really be many downfalls?"

"Well, at least it's clarified that you have had no experience with cats." Syura snidely remarked, before chuckling to himself. "My my, there's quite the double meaning there."

Re: Shifting Waters - Amber Veritz - 11-06-2015

The kunoichi chuckled a little behind her mask. She did not expect to meet another assassin. "Ha, a fellow assassin? You're probably in a big group of them, correct? I seem to have been the only solo assassin I've ever known. However, I am looking for a group to run with now. Got an opening for an extra body?" She offered her services to Lubbock and his group of assassins. They may not need her help, but she most certainly wanted his help.

The ninja's vision shifted to their feline friend. She had just thought of something on the topic of her past. "Hey, your friend Azalea is a spirit. That means she must have some ability to speak to orat least find other spirits, correct? If you can speak to her," the kunoichi paused and took a breath, "then you or her could speak to a relative of mine from the human world. I do not know my real name. If you or her could find out my name, I will find a way to repay you. I would forever be in your debt." The Kunoichi's hands tightened, holding back some tears. This was the only thing she ever wished for: her real name.

Re: Shifting Waters - Ricter - 11-06-2015

Channeling still, Azalea was soon vanishing away as she began to enter into the astral realm on her own accord, leaving Xavier where he was as she started to dissolve into light. Of course the others around him couldn't see it, except maybe Lubbock and his 'friend' however as she began to go away she would tell Xavier something in the mean time as she may be gone for an extended period of time and didn't know whens he would be back. "I'll be back in a bit, there seems to be something I can go too, I'll check for you if its the place your talking about but it shouldn't take no less than a few minutes at the most to go there and come back." With her channeling nearly done she would begin to go away fully as Xavier nodded to her response, "Be careful." He would say mentally, he knew she was fairly small and couldn't do much but if push came to shove he would give her his own energy to use his strength.

Jumping to of existence now as Azalea left very little trace of herself in this reality, Xavier would then turn to the duo who greeted and began to bring up small talk as he smiled back to some of their answers. Lubbock seemed to be an interesting person, though his phrasing of what he meant to say was a bit odd he understood that he wasn't exactly human so talking about his own upbringing wouldn't be as 'normal' as they would see it. "Where I'm from there are as many humans as their are monsters and hybrids of such things, it...has a 'love is blind' kinda feel." He explained a bit as you could take almost any pairing and they would have a child. But stepping out of that realm he would listen to the green haired man as he began to speak with Teal in a more so casual tone, not minding this at all as they both addressed him after all.

Finding out more about the man he soon revealed himself to be an assassin, maybe not of Teal's caliber but he was and is apart of a group of assassins which slayed demons that posed as humans. In his own world demons did have some presence, they terrorized what they could and took people prisoner as well as many other horrible acts, however many people, including himself, combated the demons and after a while some just blended into normal life. Some being construction workers while others merchants, the best merchants were always demons as they knew how to get stuff and though they would sometimes aim to swindle you for more than its worth they got what you need nearly 100% of the time that was for sure.

The mans small stutter to Teal's complement made him smile, he could tell he liked it and part of him could only think it might be because of the difference in gender. But he didn't linger on it much as while he was talking to Lubbock and Teal Azalea was just now entering into the astral realm, being in what seemed like a wooded area but it was empty and oddly colored. Looking around the mouse girl would see a few spirits lingering around the world, while also seeing that this was a place of dreams too as the minds of many sleeping people could be felt near by as they entered their own minds to imagine what ever they could in this false sense of being 'awake'. "Wow, so in this realm the spirit realm is also the place were people dream, that means we could probably go into peoples minds and see what they could be dreaming. Alright I think I'll go back to Xavier soon, but first let me explore a bit.." And with that she would begin looking around this place a bit on her own.

Mean while Xavier had some attention on him again as he scratched his head a bit, "Yeah I know what you mean, though really its more of a bonus than anything, my tail might not do a lot but my ears let me hear better than some humans." So even if it was a curse it was still fairly nice, but he was born this way and at the moment he didn't dive into his species too much, unless someone pointed it out that is or just called him a strait up 'neko'. Not seeing the incorporeal person with Lubbock as he had very keen spiritual senses but he couldn't' see spirits who were not wishing to be seen or were just naturally gifted with that ability to simply stay invisible at all times. Taking out his phone he realized something though, if he could maybe get a signal here maybe eh could find out a ton of stuff about this place before he would actually go anywhere as Lubbocks help did make things slightly clear, yet vague too.

Hearing Teals offer to wish to join Lubbock, he didn't know if he could fit into a guild of assassins, really he wished to venture off and explore this place and other's. Besides he was far from stealthy and far from being good at eliminating people, most monsters and bandits he fought were with his bare hands and while he was strong he rarely ever gave anyone any extremely lasting moves, maybe some broken bones and a lot of burses but nothing death dealing. It would be then that Teal would address him which he retorted in kind. "Yes your about right, I can speak to spirits, or ghosts, so long as they reveal themselves in the living world. Its a lot easier to see one in the spirit realm, which I just had Azalea go to just now." Listing to the rest of her story an wishes, it took a bit before he would mull it over as it would take a very very long time to look for one man.

"Alright, that sounds fine with me, I'll need some information on your father however. Anything will do, I'll see if Azalea could look for him while she skips around between realms." Speaking of that she would soon warp in on his shoulder as she sighed and looked at Xavier who- while she would be collecting herself, explain about what Teal could want from them. "Finding one person would take forever in that realm, plus its super wacky and things just make me feel confused." "Could you at least try to look? I'd look too if I could enter into the realm, but this world is different." With a bit of begging as they mentally talked to one another she would soon cave as she groaned and nodded. "Ugh fine, but she owes me a cheese cake when I do find him."

It would be at this moment he would say, "Looks like she agreed, we'll try to look for him in the spirit realm, if we find anything we'll aim to call you. Speaking of call do you have a phone, I can give you my number." Having a bit of paper on him and a pen he would take out his phone, confirm his number and give it to Teal as he didn't believe she had a phone but if she could contact him he would be find with it. Hanging her the slip of paper he would smile and then add, "But I'll be sure to tell you your name in person instead of over a phone call." With his phone out he would oddly see it connect to the net, which as he noticed this place was extremely busy, nothing form his old world, instead it was all just simple ways to spend your time like on omnitwitter and things of that nature.

"Wow, I didn't expect to connect to something while here, if all this is just on my phone I can only imagine how many people could be here now." Given that over a thousand people would easily be posting on one forum in this dataverse area on his phone he would think a bit and would add to Teal. "Feel free to call me if you like Teal, I'm always open to talking and what not, and if you ever need help I don't mind trying to come and assist you.. Same for you Lubbock, though only if you want." He would add on the end of that as he knew a bit more now, which was a lot better as he could understand how this place could work and what was this omini creature and person that controlled everything. "I'm thinking of many checking things and locations on my phone...I don't know about you two but I used to explore a lot, I wouldn't mind talking some more but I wouldn't want to be rude as I'd also like to go and see some places."

Re: Shifting Waters - Amber Veritz - 11-09-2015

Teal was a shook his hand with a small amount of glee. "Thank you! Both of you! I will never forgetthis generous deed. Should you ever need protection, get ahold of me." She reaches her hand down the collar of her robe to reveal Alex's necklace. "This stone is a communication device call a Lae Stone." The heart shaped stone glimmmered in the whiteness of The Nexus. "Should I ever be of service to you or should you come across any details for me at all, just use your communicator and think about the shape of the charm on my necklace. This will contact me through the Lae Stone." The necklace was returned to the inside of her robe, "unfortunately this is where we will have to turn our paths for now. I'm not the adventurous type. I hope you and Azalea find what you're looking for. And, thank you again."

Teal spun on her heels back to Lubbock. "Hey, lettuce head," she joked around in an obvious, making sure she didn't offend him, "could you show me how I can look up bounties in this world? And, maybe you could introduce me to your group of assassin buddies. I'm a solo runner, but that doesn't mean I can't have some back up friends right?" Teal took a seat on the rock behind her protruding from the ground. Her arms rested on her knees and hands on her chin. "In Quotin, I had no friends. I tried to stay away from other because I was an unatural cross blood."

Re: Shifting Waters - Artoria Pendragon - 11-17-2015

Quote:The whole post is quoted so I won't get OM for it, as I already posted it in it's own thread.

The sounds of a cheering crowd still rang in Hanas ears as she was about to finish one of the numerous autographs she was currently signing.. Gyrating her shoulders a little, the woman stretched with a yawn, closing her eyes for a moment. However, as she did so, sudden silence claimed her surroundings. Opening her eyes the pilot didn’t expect to witness what she did. A darkness with an ominous figure right before her. The cheering crowd, the press, the MEKA unit were all gone, replaced with darkness and a single figure. Who, or what was this? ...Where was she actually? Where had she been taken to? As if her thoughts were read, Hana could hear the answer.

“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Rules? Games had rules. Hana was oh so used to abiding by a specific set of rules and achieving her desires within the limitations of said rules. And if this was a game, Hana was certain that she would dominate, and eventually emerge victorious. After all, she only played to achieve one thing: Victory. The girl didn’t seem afraid nor concerned. She seemed near confident in the situation, with a slight smug smirk decorating her visage.

Only moments later, something rainbow coloured was passed onto her hands. Curiously the pilot examined the orb, pondering as she did.. Hm, seems kind of like..wax? Glowing wax? I wonder if it’s malleable..or what it is at all, honestly.. Once more, it seemed like her thoughts were read, as the response echoed within her mind.

“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."

Hana wondered if it would simply shape itself to victory, should she concentrate upon it enough, but she didn’t have the time to test such things out, as the explanation of rules continued.

“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.”

Reborn? Respawning?! Oh this had to be a game. Hana was sure of it. And if it was a game… She was in. She would play, she would strive to be better than anyone else, strive to victory. She had done it before, and she would do it again.

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

It seemed it was time to put her game face on.. After all, she was D.Va.

-----------------------------------------

Blinking her eyes, Hana found herself staring up at the sky. Wait wait wait, what..? Was she just dreaming? Pondering, the pilot shifted her body around a little, quickly determining that she was lying on some rather hard surface, quickly deducing that it probably wasn’t her bed, for obvious reasons. That, and the fact that her bed would’ve had a roof over it. Vaguely, the gamer could recall signing autographs for a mass of people surrounding her from all directions. Had she passed out? Died? She wasn’t quite sure, but it wasn’t the most important part to her anyway.

The only thing she could honestly remember clearly from her past, was the rush games had given her, the way she had played them on a professional level, as well as the fact that she had indeed been in control of a suit of armour. Had that been part of some game? She couldn’t honestly recall at the current moment. It was all quite fuzzy and unclear.
And then there was the dream consisting of the omniscient being and the darkness.

Ah, now she could recall. Game. This was a game. But what was the goal? As far as she knew, she hadn’t received any information about the so called goal, or well, her quest either.
It would seem she would have to figure out those by herself, the former idol thought as she sat up and took a look around herself, only now taking note of the obvious sound of running water coming from somewhere near her current position.
Agilely, Hana made her way onto her feet, taking a look around herself. Where was Odin? As the pilot examined her surroundings, she couldn’t see the vehicle she was supposed to pilot anywhere. Although there seemed to be some...gates? At least Gate-like things far off in the distance, the pilot noted.
Closing her eyes, Hana attempted to remember back into the dream of darkness for clues. ‘Think of what you desire the most, eh?’ Was the confident remark she made in her mind, as she began to visualise the mech in her mind, with its robust cannons, the sponsored decals as well as the extraordinary pink colour. And just like that, as the girl opened her eyes a few seconds later, she could see the back of the mech right in front of her, ready to open and allow her inside. Hm, seemed to be accurate, yes. With expertise, the girl tapped her wrist a few times, and suddenly the back hatch opened, revealing the small cockpit designed specifically with each individual pilot in mind.

Like she had done dozens of times before in the past, she simply grabbed onto the two handles presented to her right at the entrance to the cockpit. As soon as her grip had solidified around the handles, she could feel the telltale yank on her arms, as the handles retracted inside of the mech, pulling her inside it along with them, as the latch closed, and she found herself in the comfortable laying position that the pilot was supposed to reside in. Naturally, her hands landed upon each of the two sticks that were designed to control the mech in various ways, including firing the rotating fusion cannons, respectively mounted on each side of the machine.

Calmly, she wiggled the sticks a little, just to see that they motioned still, like they had before, as her fingers initiated the boot-up sequence. A series of quick presses of buttons on each of the sticks, much like a password, performed by the girl’s fingers in such speed, that it would be nigh-on impossible to follow. As she finished, a calm voice chimed from the devices covering Hanas ears. ‘User identified: Hana Song. Access: Allowed. MEKA unit online.’ During said speech, the mech’s lights lit up, as well as the countless monitoring softwares and displays flared to life.
“Game on.” said the girl in a calm fashion as she pushed one of the twin sticks forward and the mech unit took its first steps forward in the new world, as its pilot guided it towards one of the gates in the distance.

Where would Hana go? What would she do? She didn’t know, but one thing was for certain.
She would enjoy this.

Authors note: Hana headed towards the same gate that you three have so far, though she obviously doesn’t know it. So, I would assume that she'll be running into you guys.

Re: Shifting Waters - Lubbock - 11-17-2015

Lubbock shifted his goggles upon his viridian mop and casually leaned his back against the sturdy steed he arrived on. "Well, yeah, I was in a big group... as it is, the details are something I'd rather keep classified at the moment." He informed coldly, although reluctantly. "And you don't even need to ask if I would mind having you along. In fact, I was planning on askin' if you'd like to tag along!" The assassin explained, glancing excitedly to Teal with his single, visible eye.

Lubbock listened closely to Xavier's explanation of his uncanny ability to contact the dead... If only we had someone like that back in the Revolutionary Army, Lubbock moped, reminiscing over the deaths of numerous friends. Teal's request caught the assassin's attention; quite a noble ask, certainly for personal gain, but no harm intended.

The assassin quirked an eyebrow at Xavier's offer of his number, and soon after contacting him at any point as required. Slipping out his own verdant device, he traversed to the Dataverse and opened the mailing system, turning the screen on the cat boy. "There's a mailing system on the Dataverse." He explained, before browsing his phone. Although he was still establishing his skills with the fresh technology, he was sure he understood what a 'phone number' was, and couldn't seem to find it. "Not to mention it doesn't look like these 'phone numbers' follow conventional rules... you might need to do a bit of nitpicking to figure it out." He clarified, screwing his face up at the complex tech in his palm.

Lubbock listened to Xavier's decision on where he planned to go. "Alright, that's cool, I won't hold ya back." He allowed the cat boy his freedom. "I'll keep in contact though, that's a promise." After his small spiel, he made sure I take note of the Kunoichi's communication device; primitive and mysterious as it was, it intrigued the assassin nonetheless. From what Lubbock gathered, Teal was tagging along with him.

'Lettuce Head' chuckled as Teal dubbed him said nickname. "You should be able to check those out on the Dataverse. I'll let you copy the style of my device if you'd like." The forest-y assassin offered kindly, waving his phone a moment before returning it to its hidey hole. Lubbock scratched his head nervously at Teal's mention of his 'assassin buddies'. "Well... you see... none of my cohorts arrived with me... I'm just about alone..." The assassin remembered the slaughter sparked between his small group of friends and Esdeath. "But a sadistic General from our world was brought along... she's been here longer than me, I can tell. She's too powerful to be a new Prime." Lubbock elaborated, scratching his chin.

Teal's pondering over her lack of friends from her world enticed a sympathetic frown from Lubbock. "Well that doesn't matter anymore." He assured her, a grin easing his mouth apart. "Xavier and I are your friends." He mentioned with a thumbs up. Abruptly, a shock soared through the assassin's legs and he struggled to keep himself from collapsing. "What the-" A curse started to form on his tongue, but the image of a hulking machine striding towards them halted his speech.

Grimacing, Lubbock slipped in front of Teal and Xavier and slung his wires outwards onto the snow white earth, yanking on them menacingly in front of the bulky machine. "Guys... we may be in for a fight." Lubbock noted, frowning at the new arrival.

Quote:Xavier, you may now leave. Hana, you can post normally next.

Wondering why phone numbers didn't typically work as Lubbock explained to him he was a bit taken back by what a dataverse was, sounded like a fancy term for the internet. However looking at the stone Teal showed to him he did his best to remember it and keep it fresh in his mind, if not Azalea would more than likely remember it as she was fairly good at recalling old things long since forgotten. "A magical talking device that looks like a necklace? That's a new one, hm why don't you buy cool stuff like that?" The girl asked as Xavier simply smiled and nodded to Teal, slightly ignoring Azalea as he felt a bit embarrassed having her praise him in such a way. But he didn't get big headed, he knew it was for her father and her identity as a whole, something that was both important to him and should be for everyone.

"No need for thanks, me and Azalea are more than happy to help, and maybe somewhere along the line we can meet again and I can give you the news face to face. But thank you and I hope things work out well for you in this strange new place." He said back to her as she would turn her attention to the green haired man with goggles, accepting his phone back he would be sure to use this odd mailing system to contact his friends, which would be the two of them as he would guess he had no one else here after all. "Thanks, and sure I wouldn't mind just talking if you like, I hope you and Teal enjoy yourselves." "Yeah, totally going to be 'enjoying' themselves a lot~" "For someone that looks like a tiny little girl you sure do have a vulgar mouth...maybe I should do something to make you less bored..." This mental conversation only hinted at by Xavier's groan and look to the side of him before he would correct himself and give his small farewells to Lubbock and Teal.

Though as he would begin to leave now he would perk up as a machine of some kind would be walking towards the group, he had been around machines and cyborgs a lot in his history, mostly they were his training buddies. Though he had no reason to not believe that it could be friendly, who ever and what ever it was, but being pulled along by Azalea she would simply say. "Although this is interesting and what not we should go, I can feel something near by." She would say, and this time she would actually become tangible to a degree, the two of them could briefly see her as she tugged his shoulder and floated a bit before she would vanish again just as she pulled him a few feet into the direction she wished for them to go in. "Alright alright, didn't think you'd show yourself just to make me go, hopefully its not something super hostile." he murmured to himself, he would feel bad if they needed his help after all, but the neko boy would simply begin heading on his way as his spirit companion was somewhat excited about something.

The information provided by Lubbock was helpful indeed. A place where she could view all the bounties in this new world. She would us this to it's full potential, also keeping in mind that she could use this 'Dataverse' thing for recon. There has to be useful information about targets on there as well.

Teal thanked the cat-man again for his help, but tensed up as she saw the figure in the distance heading their way. What could that be, Teal wondered as she stood again, reaching to each arm to turn of the safety locks. She ran next to Lubbock and stood next to him. "Judging your weapon, you must not be an up close and personal fighter. Should this figure charge us, I will move in while you give me support. We got a deal?" The fist-blades retracted from their hiding places as Teal readied to attack, should she need to. Her palms tensed up as she called out to the figure who was too dark to make out at this distance. "You in the distance, I wish not to hurt you. If you are not hostile, please give us a sign or we will began attacking." Teal readied to charge. Even at this distance, she could get close enough to the enemy within a few seconds. She however first waited for a response from the silhouette, sticking to her vow not to harm the innocent.

Lubbock's expression turned awry when a groan was emitted from Xavier's vocals, as if some being was irritating him. Syura seemed to know something, hinted at by the low, sinister chuckle that echoed in the assassin's cranial space. What's so funny, huh? He questioned the voice, and Syura sighed slowly to calm himself down. "Oh, nothing, nothing at all!" He taunted obnoxiously, and Lubbock mimicked the cat-boy's disapproving groan. "Yeah, where I plan to go, I'm sure Teal and I will have a bunch of fun!" He replied grinning cheesily, before his jaw dropped in agitation when Syura commented, "And my longstanding point has just been proven."

Lubbock knew there was no point in arguing.

The assassin didn't blame the cat for abstaining from the fight, but cocked an eyebrow at the strange figure that had momentarily materialized, pulling Xavier along. Otherwise, though, he paid no mind to it. His attention came back to the machine approaching them, and he chuckled at Teal's incorrect notation of limited close quarters combat skill. "Well, shows how good you are at guessing others' strategies." He teased, before weaving his silver threads into a thick sword. "I have a feeling that strategy will not be nec-"

The assassin's eye caught something out of the ordinary, cutting off his sentence. There was a girl, wearing some kind of headphones and donning whisker-style markings on her cheeks lay prone within the mech's abdomen. "Hold up a sec..." Lubbock unraveled his weapon and waved a hand to Teal, telling her to stand down. Calmly he approached the pink goliath and leaned forwards to peer into the cockpit at the center. He tapped on the glass a couple of times, before grinning. "Hello in there!" He greeted the girl, hearing the sound echoing off of the glass from the outside.

The assassin took a step back and inspected the machine, not feeling Teal's presence arrive at his side, weapons still at the ready. "I have to give it to ya... this thing looks pretty neat." He offered, grinning goofily as he refrained from nerding out over the weaponized suit. His verdant eyes dropped back to the female inside, who seemed to still be playing cautious around the assassin duo. "Why don't you come out and greet us, eh?" He asked, hands in his pockets coolly.
