Hey, Alex, how will you spend donations?
First and foremost, donations go towards paying our hosting and domain costs - about 100 dollars per year under our current plan. The domain is paid annually in August, and the web hosting is paid twice a year (in February and August).  This is all under our current host.
 
My goal is to ‘bank’ at least two years of server costs under our current plan.  Once I have said money squirreled away, my plan is to start generating wish lists for the Omniverse, which I’ll call a ‘war chest.’  This will include stuff like migrating to a new server, particularly looking at GoDaddy, which will provide us with more stability (less random error messages on load up) and give us the option to have SSL. We could also invest more in advertisement campaigns on social media platforms like Facebook through War Chest funds.
 
A small percentage of your kind donation (about 15%) will also go toward my own life expenses (more of a "thanks for your time" kind of thing) or paying others for services rendered to the Omniverse).  All donations are hugely appreciated. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes, and the hardest stuff is usually the technical stuff like actual forum upgrades, which does take a huge amount of my time. We here fully believe in the "pay what you want/can" philosophy, and this site will be around even if people stop donating entirely.

Loathe as he was to admit it, the old man Xehanort much preferred the oppressive, choking silence of being in Omni's presence while in the darkness than the stark glare of white everywhere. While a fan of contrast and even using white in his own designs, this all felt like a bit much. Shielding his golden eyes, the old man dared look upward to see if the source was a sun or not. Upon finding out the light simply 'was', there was an irritated churning in his stomach.

'This light isn't a purity. Rather, a malformed idea of what purity is.' He thinks to himself, content with standing by the fountain with one arm behind and the other stroking his goatee. "And yet... there is quite the potential in such a place. To be a prime, even an insignificant person will have advanced beyond most human limitation. Fascinating..." His voice trails off, a slight echo as it bounces off the fountain. There was another long pause as he got to thinking of what was shared with him. Knowledge of this mystical substance to create and that all things came from.

But first thing's first. Holding out his hand, the old one summons forth his keyblade, giving a disappointed 'tch' as it fails to appear before him. "Seems as though I'll need to work on that. Getting rusty, you geezer." He mocks himself with a smirk. The next test was his usual dominion over the Heartless. He had noted that there was a measure of patience needed when creating something from nothing. No ravenously hungry darkness in the immediate area. And so, he extended his hand outward, focusing on the image of an enveloping darkness. And yet...

While he remained focus, he couldn't help but think of a pleasant jingle. Perhaps it was the willingness of standing in silence for so long and a yearning for some entertainment. Perhaps it was a little part of him considering that maybe he could change himself. Just a moment of whimsy. However, the pleasant jingle sticks with him throughout his focused conjuration. He gets a frown upon his face, closing his eyes to try and drive the chime out until...

*jingle jingle*

Calmly peeking a single eye open, he's almost caught off guard by the presence of another before him. Pale skin. Short, black hair. Golden eyes gazing upon him with a friendly look behind them. And forefront to it all, an amusing little bell, stylized to appear similar to a Red Nocturne. To best contain his own surprise, he just holds the silence while gazing upon this... heartless? That is, until she insistently rang the bell in his face again, as though seeking to draw him out of his trance.

"Right, I'm here." He says quickly, getting an amused smirk out of the newcomer. "And just what are you supposed to be?" He wasn't a patient sort usually, but this had him intrigued. As he questioned her, his arms would casually cross behind his back into his usual posture. Before him, the freshly made heartless gave an exaggerated bow before producing further bells from somewhere upon her person. With careful and precise movement, she played a little song with the bells. The same little song that had been looping through his head. "So a Heartless, as I summoned. Who plays bells, as I thought. It seems as though focus is the key to summoning here." He comments before idly patting this one on the head and getting a delighted look from her. The old man would once more drift into thought, idly keeping his hand there. In truth, his mind was racing at the sheer possibility of it all. To create something that wasn't just a mindless heartless, and not having to use a gratuitously powerful heart, was fascinating to him. And he would remain locked in thought until the new one brought him back to present with an insistent jingle of her bells.

"Hmm? Oh, I haven't named you yet, have I?" He questions before stroking his goatee. "Let's call you.. Ximche." He resolves, getting a more paternal smile to him. The naming seemed to take well, making the darkling give out a soundless glee of delight. "But for now... let's start ourselves moving." He comments before starting to focus. Something basic, like a carriage. No need for horses, as magical propulsion will do. He would breathe a sigh of relief as this came much quicker, showing that such a thing was far less complex than creating new life. Once complete, he would step himself into the carriage, beckoning Ximche in after him before setting the carriage on its way to the southeast. He was, by no means, in a hurry; letting the wagon start at a leisurely pace while closing his eyes to rest, letting the bell one play her songs to help him drift off into a lazy nap.

Character history: Ben is a ten-year-old boy who grew up in Bellwood; he was unpopular and often bullied in his school by two boys named Cash and J.T..

However his life changed the day he went on summer vacation with his grandfather Max and his cousin Gwen. A short time after they left Bellwood, Ben went on a walk through the woods in which they were camping, and witnessed the crash of a strange capsule from space, thinking it was a shooting star. This capsule happened to contain the Omnitrix, a powerful watch-like device, that attached itself onto Ben's left wrist and fused with his genetic code.

At first scared, Ben soon discovered that, using the Omnitrix, he was now able to transform into ten super-powered alien creatures. Unable to remove the Omnitrix Ben eventually learned to use the device in order to become a superhero. Though he occasionally fought and arrested ordinary criminals, he was quickly led to also fight super-villains, starting with Dr. Animo, Kevin 11, and ultimately, Vilgax, a vicious and evil alien warlord who wanted to get the Omnitrix for himself for universal conquest.

Despite being very immature and occasionally using the Omnitrix for minor selfish purposes, Ben is a valuable wearer for the Omnitrix, defeating Vilgax and saving people several times.

Long after defeating Vilgax Ben Tennyson finally got to enjoy his summer vacation with his family when suddenly out of nowhere his entire being vanished from sight and from where he lived as he was now surrounded entirely by a black void. Ben wanted to be sarcastic and light things up with Heatblast but for some reason he couldn't even speak let alone see where he was. Suddenly he say a brilliant white figure purging the darkness.

It introduced itself as Omni which made Ben look back at his watch the Omnitrix. Were they the one that created this device that strapped to his wrist so long ago? Probably a coincidence as the strange figure spoke of an Omniverse and a strange orb called Omnilium which according to what they said was like a currency but also a way to create things. Ben was having a hard time understanding all this but with the names all related to Omni Ben wondered if it really did have something to do with the Omnitrix. But before he could ask about the figure vanished and Ben was not at the center of the Nexus and right in front of a strange fountain.

Physical Description: Ben's usual clothes consists of a black-striped, white shirt with short sleeves, green pants and black and white shoes with black stripes. Ben wears the Omnitrix on his left wrist. He has brown shaggy hair, green eyes and a rather light white skin tone.

The fireballs are roughly the size of a baseball that travel at the speed of an arrow fired from a bow.
Each fireball is rather weak by itself and takes 2 seconds to conjure a total of Six Fireballs at a time.
Currently Heatblast can only fire Six fireballs at a time before needing to conjure them again.
Fireballs do not require aim and can be thrown at random.
Each set of Six Fireballs are thrown One at a time before reaching the maximum of Six then needing to be conjured again.
After each round of Six Fireballs thrown it lessens HeatBlast's stamina slightly each time.

Flaming Sword: (requires Physical Strength) Shapes a sword out of fire to use in battle. This sword is the size and length of an average baseball bat and does moderate damage when swung at a foe. The sword is as quick as a katana in speed when drawn and used. The sword takes 2 seconds to conjure and is maintained with HeatBlast's stamina. If disarmed the sword will go out as it is made directly from HeatBlast. It takes an additional 2 seconds to conjure the sword again if it is disarmed or broken.

For Heatblast. Cost 300 OMN.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:Roughly 5'9" at full height, though usually hunched over.

ATK: 2 - With age comes diminished strength. With the Omni-physics nerf bat comes even more diminished strength. Still hits plenty hard for an old man.
DEF: 3 - While he may be becoming frail, all that bathing in endless powers of darkness has made him quite hardy.
SPD: 0 - I'm old, cut me some slack, young man!
TEC: 5 - Decades of practice shines with being able to exert an expertise in combat that few can counter

Xehanort summons a pack of 12 Shadow heartless, who attack his designated target like a swarm of angry little bees. Once a target is designated, they will continue to attack and cannot be given any further orders. While the attack itself is cast instantly, it takes approximately 5 seconds for the shadows to take form around the target, and another second or so before they begin attacking. Being the most basic of Heartless, they aren't too strong or durable, akin to being attacked by a pack of wild cats. They tend to extinguish in one blow from another Prime, though may pose a threat to weakened (or weaker) opponents. While darkness is always present, it can be fairly exhausting to summon in a short period of time.

Blizzard (Requires Ranged and Debuff) - 600 OM
Fires a single ball of ice, roughly the size of a football (soccer for the Americans), at his intended target. When used in this manner, it's the equivalent of someone flinging a block of ice at you. However, this can be charged for 3 seconds, in which case, the impact will chill the target (if hit), slowing them down. Although this is his primary method of attacking, Xehanort tends to avoid it, as the cold bothers his old joints. While charging, he's capable of moving (for what it's worth), and not much else.

Absolute Zero Tier 1 Super Utility Move (Requires Ranged and Debuff) - 600 OM
After 2 seconds, Xehanort releases a single, golf ball sized orb of true ice towards his intended target. Upon hit, the target is frozen solid for 1 minute. While frozen, the target takes minimal, if any, damage, even if dropped from absurd heights. The primary purpose of this is to stall for time or remove an extra combatant from combat.

History:

Aether. In a word, you could call it heaven. Or as close that you would ever see in your mortal life, as the villagers would say. Magic and Technology working in tandem to create works of art in every form, from architecture to weaponry. 

The Imperial Council saw to matters of logic and law, dealing out justice and settling disputes in an open forum in which any and every citizen was able to perform. The Keystone Cities were each like this, towering and sprawling testaments to the genius and resilience of mankind. Each of the five Keystones was dedicated to a path of worship. The Northern Keystone was dedicated to Thorian, The Solar Monarch, who held dominion over the sun itself. The Western Keystone revered The Earth Mother, Irytha. The Eastern Keystone paid tribute to the Dragon of The Seas, Karaee. The Central Keystone was home to Wyrada, The Lord of Knowledge, and lord of The House Of Wisdom. The Southern Keystone was devoted to Luminae, the Goddess of the Moon, and Lady of Peace. The gods watched over their domains, and the people whom they ruled over saw to their earthly paradise within the light of their divine benefactors.

And yet, even as light shines, darkness lurks beyond its reach.

Nobody knows who was struck first, only that once contact was made, no one was safe. Horrid monstrosities made a mockery of the god’s creations. Twisted forms that used to be Imperial Citizens shambled and destroyed all in their path, even ransacking and leaving to ruin the temples of the gods who had seemingly abandoned them.

Gwendolyn was the High Priestess of Luminae, and during the event that would become known as “The Claiming", was the leader of the Southern Keystone's Paladin Knights, who were among the last of the Unclaimed.

The final battle for the Keystone was nothing short of legend. An unending wave of darkness against the soft and peaceful light of Luminae's faithful knights, Led by Gwendolyn in a last, desperate charge. After witnessing her warriors be struck down and Claimed, one by one, before she was alone in the darkness.

Surrounded by the dead bodies of her friends as she blasted apart abomination after abomination, she begins to lose consciousness, even as her vision is dominated by an opalescent light. 

Appearance (General):
  
Gwendolyn's stature is quite reflective of her line of work, characterized by slim limbs and no defined muscle mass. She stands at a height of seven feet tall, her growth aided and expedited by the influence of the goddess to whom she dedicated her entire life. Her snow-white hair falls in soft curls all the way down to her ankles, and frames her ever-present stern demeanor. Her facial structure is soft and angular, and her eyes are a kaleidoscope of colors, constantly shifting and changing. Her skin is a rich tan color, as if she spent all her days under the summer sun.

Appearance (Clothing):

Gwendolyn wears a white dress that flows down to her knees. It is, for the most part, very plain an unadorned with accessories. Her legs are covered in slender armor plates, forming a seamless pair of greaves that taper down into three inch heels. On her chest and shoulders, a silver chest piece resides, the pauldrons holding a white cloak in place. around her waist, a silver sash is tied, a silver rosary with a full-moon charm dangling from its confines.

Crescent Moonlight (Requires Ranged Prof.) 

A simple yet elegant weapon, The Crescent Moonlight is a weapon of divine glory, said to be wielded in righteous wars of ages past by Luminae's Chosen. The bow is about six feet long from tip to tip, a string made of spun moonlight forms arrows of energy as it is pulled back, and looses them at speeds comparable to high-caliber bullets, and inflict light burns upon impact. The bow is a re-curve design, and forged from silver and sports carvings of peaceful scenery etched onto its metallic surface. It can be used on the move, and only take about a second to summon the bow, and another to loose an arrow from its confines.

The Quarterback of Chaos was not amused about the current situation he had found himself in. Two of his men had left him for a street gang on one of the lower tiers. While he had expected, it still stung him like a swarm of wasps would. The Quarterback of Chaos found that he was lonely. As he walked through the hustle and bustle of the first Tier, Warren considered something that he hadn't in a long time. He was considering making a team for himself, to be honest. Of course, the Quarterback of Chaos did not know who he was going to make a part of Team Zimmer. Noticing a nearby Prime clad in a gray outfit that had a strange looking red bat symbol that Warren did not recognize on it, Warren realized that the Prime was one of the more powerful ones out there. 

Warren approached from behind, only to be caught by the throat. Jason pressed his knife to Warren's throat. "Why were you sneaking up behind me?""

"To offer you a deal," said Warren, now panicked. 

"What kind of deal?" asked Jason. 

"You're new here. You likely don't know much other than that pale pasty faced white being bringing you here." stated Warren. 

"You do raise a very valid point," thought the prodigal son of Batman, as he examined the place. It was true he did not know how this place operated. He could use someone who could teach him more about the place.

The Red Hood knew that he was going to need more resources that he did not have access to. In addition, he did not know his way around the place. There were two things that were in the favor of the individual near him. Sure he was dressed fancy, but he could be useful. 

"Fine. I'll play along with you. What do we do first?" asked Jason.

Mere minutes after the final section of Nebula Space collapsed in the Vasty Deep, all those who had participated in the actions to combat Nebula's forces would receive a message.



Greetings, Heroes,

You may not know who I am, so please, allow me to introduce myself: I am the acting leader of the Darkchip Syndicate, Nebula. My name is Shade Man.

I wish to offer you all congratulations for your efforts. Though you have of course dealt our plans a massive setback by so thoroughly damaging and disrupting our operations, your bravery and effort is to be commended. I did not pick my lieutenants lightly, they were all quite formidable, as I am sure you can attest.

However, despite my well-wishes and admiration of your might, I must inform you I am not pleased. And that our operations have not been destroyed; merely stalled. They will resume, in time, until you destroy the source of them. That source being, of course....yes: yours truly.

However, out of respect, I will offer you a moment of rest. I have heard there is an event which may be stirring to life soon which you are all so fond of. It wouldn't do to have such festivities and blood sport hampered by such a dark cloud looming over it all. So go. Enjoy yourselves, relax and enjoy the revelry. Rest, lick your wounds, and re-gather your strength.

While you do, the good Doctor Regal and I will be planning something much more impressive.
