Mere minutes after the final section of Nebula Space collapsed in the Vasty Deep, all those who had participated in the actions to combat Nebula's forces would receive a message.
Greetings, Heroes,
You may not know who I am, so please, allow me to introduce myself: I am the acting leader of the Darkchip Syndicate, Nebula. My name is Shade Man.
I wish to offer you all congratulations for your efforts. Though you have of course dealt our plans a massive setback by so thoroughly damaging and disrupting our operations, your bravery and effort is to be commended. I did not pick my lieutenants lightly, they were all quite formidable, as I am sure you can attest.
However, despite my well-wishes and admiration of your might, I must inform you I am not pleased. And that our operations have not been destroyed; merely stalled. They will resume, in time, until you destroy the source of them. That source being, of course....yes: yours truly.
However, out of respect, I will offer you a moment of rest. I have heard there is an event which may be stirring to life soon which you are all so fond of. It wouldn't do to have such festivities and blood sport hampered by such a dark cloud looming over it all. So go. Enjoy yourselves, relax and enjoy the revelry. Rest, lick your wounds, and re-gather your strength.
While you do, the good Doctor Regal and I will be planning something much more impressive.
