Abner groaned as he was assaulted by the noise of the plane crash. Lifting his head from the sand, he saw that he’d been jettisoned from the wreckage about twenty yards before it had settled into its deathbed. What remained of his seat was still strapped around him as he reached for the buckles.
Although the pyre was worthy of his immediate attention, he quickly scanned his surroundings. This section of the plane had crashed along a two hundred foot stretch of beach that was boarded by a gray-blue ocean on one side and a very thick, oppressive jungle on the other.
All along the debris-coated beach, other individuals were stirring and attempting to right themselves. Most focus moved to the smoldering wreckage, where a few others still struggled to free themselves from within the crumbling mess.
Quote:Aside from Abner, all of you may make the decision to wake up/regain your senses inside the plane wreck, on the beach, or even in the ocean, if you so desire. If you want some inspiration as to this scene, I’d recommend watching the plane crash from the pilot of Lost.
It’s up to the lot of you to decide what the f**k you do from here. Salvage supplies. Scope the area. Leave on your own. You have no obligations to one another, and unfortunately, none of the Syntech employees will be of much help (and all are expendable). You will be able to find out from them that this isn’t the island they were traveling to, since there was still at least an hour and a half of the flight left.
Go out and find answers. Or don’t. Have fun.

Quote:1 hour before the EPD response team arrived
A armored transport truck drives down the main street in Tier 2 loaded with seven men with black suits sitting inside the back of the truck. "Alright men listen up, today we are pulling off a heist that I know will change your life forever turning each of you gentlemen swimming in money and fortune. We all must think intelligent and don't get too carried away being thugs holding powerful weaponry. I have given all of you stormtrooper helmets to cover our Identity. Connor and Jacob, I want you to handle the hostages at the entrance of the bank. Make sure none escape and have them in your sight. Be intimidating or they will do something. Don't kill any unless I give you guys the permission. Chance and Roger, both of you will be covering the offices in the back of the bank making sure no one gets in or gets out. As for me, Bruce, and Vick, we will handle the vault. Bruce I want you to cover outside the vault if we have any intruders. Me and Vick will be busy in the vault grabbing all the cash we need. You gentlemen got that. Do I need to repeat myself?" said Lance looking at his crew being the center of attention. All them agreed what they were doing and the destination is about ten minutes away. "Alright then, lock and load men!" said Lance with a vigorous attitude which riled up the crew. They all checked the weapons to be ready for the heist and put on their helmets. The driver radios back at them saying "We are five minutes away from the bank. When you guys get done, meet us in the alley behind the bank.". Lance says in responce "We will not be too long if the alarm doesn't go off.".
They arrive at the bank, the crew gets up and opens the back of the truck. Lance and Vick grabbed big sports bags strapping them to their backs. Right when they left the vehicle, it drives away and heads down the street to get behind the bank. All of them rush up to the bank heavily armed. The doors at the front entrance of the bank slide open automatically when Lance and his men approached. The men rush in with their blasters and began open fire on the security guards. All the guards dropped to the floor dead and causes everyone to panic in chaos. "Everyone get on the ground! This is a Robbery!" yelled Lance under the stormtrooper helmet. Connor walks quickly with his heavy blaster rifle pointing at the hostages as he walks by to the counters that had the staff behind it. "If any of you make sudden movements, I will blast anyone to smithereens!" screamed Connor at everyone including the staff behind the counter that were too intimidated to press the button to sound a alarm. Connor jumps over the counter to have the staff at blaster point so they won't do anything. Jacob has his blaster rifle pointed at the crowd keeping everyone under their control.
Meanwhile, the five are running through the bank and quickly tacking out the security as they rush. Lance, Bruce, and Vick split up away from the other two into a hallway on the left that had a sign hanging over the hallway that had the word vault. The other two rush up a stair well and into the office area that had more guards and some workers. Security was taken out swiftly by Chance and Roger with their blaster rifles. People scream in panic and fear not knowing their work day was going to be a hellish one. The both robbers start cursing and intimidating the workers to make them stay where they are. One security guardsman comes out of the lounge wondering what was going on. He saw the robbers and quickly sees a alarm switch panel next to the lounge area door. Chance fires at him when Roger had his attention on the hostages. He hits him in the waist and the guard fell to the floor making Chance think he got him. The guard reaches for the alarm and hits it which makes Chance turn around quickly shooting the guard with multiple shots making sure he was dead. "Ah shit! Hay Lance, you guys need to hurry and get that vault opened fast!" said Chance over the communicator loudly while the alarm was going off throughout the bank.
"Roger that, we just made it to the vault and now were opening it" said Lance in his communicator while Vick was hacking the vault through the panel that opens it. It took Vick about a couple minutes to manage opening the vault. Lance and Vick run inside the huge vault quickly while Bruce focusing on guarding the vault. Inside the vault was big and had multiple of tables with stacks of currency of the Empire. The two rush over to one of the tables and quickly started storing cash in them. "We better get out of this alive. I also don't want to go back to the slammer." said Vick busy storing cash in his bag. "Relax and focus Vick, I done this countless of times now in these kind of situations and manage not to get caught even having all my parts intact." said Lance finishing up one table. Vick sighs and moves on to the next table when he finishes.
EPD vehicles rush down the main street of Tier 2 and arrived at the bank with a screeching halt. Some of the vehicles were patrol and other were EPD task force armored trucks filled with stormtroopers. The EPD are behind their vehicles with blasters in their hands ready for anything. A Stormtrooper commander turns on a intercom to speak through so the robbers can hear him. "This is the EPD, We have you surrounded. There is no way out but to yourselves in. Give up or their will be greater consequences!" said the commander through the loud intercom. Jacob comes near with a hostage at one of the big glass windows that the front of the bank is mostly made of to show the EPD that they had a hostage. "Listen, this doesn't have to come down in a violent way. We are willing to negotiate with you." said the Commander again letting his troopers know to hold their position at the vehicles. He calls in his communicator that was connected to the EPD channels for back up.

Character name: Mei-Ling Zhou
Character source: Overwatch
Character history: Though many blamed the planet's escalating, unexplained climate phenomena on the advent of new technologies, the rapidly growing omnic population, and drastically increased consumption of resources, the true cause remained unknown. To find a solution, Overwatch established a series of eco-Watchpoints at remote, critical locations worldwide.
Mei-Ling Zhou was a member of this multi-year initiative. A peerless climatologist, she had introduced cutting-edge innovations in the field of climate manipulation that protected at-risk areas in Asia and beyond. She was assigned to the program's monitoring station at Watchpoint: Antarctica when disaster struck: a sudden, catastrophic polar storm battered the installation and cut it off from the outside world, leaving the facility damaged and the scientists stranded. As their supplies dwindled, they entered cryostasis in a last-ditch effort to survive until a rescue attempt could be made.
But that rescue never came. It was years later when the team's cryogenics chamber was finally discovered. Mei, still in hibernation, was the only survivor. Physically, she hadn't aged a day, but the world Mei awoke to had gone through considerable changes: Overwatch was no more, the serious climate issues had worsened, and none of the eco-watchpoints were in operation. Any clues that they had uncovered were lost.
Mei decided to continue her work on her own. Equipped with a portable version of her climate-manipulation technology, she traveled around the world, hoping to re-establish the eco-network and track down the causes of the threats to the planet's ecosystem.
At some point after this, Mei got in touch with Winston, who had issued a recall order for Overwatch agents. He gave her a journal, telling her that people would find her "unique" perspective interesting. She made her first journal entry and made it available to the public while in the Yukon near Mount Logan, while testing her new gear. She concluded that it was in working order (a step up from a few days ago, when she'd accidentally frozen her arm), and began studying the local wildlife. Six days later, she decided to head to Asia, to investigate the abandoned Overwatch stations there. Before doing so, she took a break by flying into Los Angeles to see Six-Gun Killer. Two days after that, she was in Asia, investigating a mountain ecosystem. She slipped off the mountain, and was taken by Omni before hitting the bottom.

Endothermic Blaster (600, requires Ranged, Debuff): This weapon shoots concentrated cold in a 15-foot-long, 6-inch-wide stream. It takes about 1 second for the stream to reach max distance. When the stream hits, it immediately but only slightly slows the enemy. The effect worsens the longer the enemy is exposed up until they're frozen after 4 seconds of exposure. If the opponent can avoid the stream for two seconds, all debuffs from the blaster are lifted. When frozen, the effect lasts for 1.5 seconds. After this, the debuff is completely removed. Repeated freezings have no permanent effects, but limbs may turn numb for a short while after several times. The stream can be held up for 20 seconds before needing to reload.
The blaster can also form an icicle the size of an average man's forearm to shoot at an opponent. It takes .75 seconds to fire and uses as much ammo as using the cold stream for three seconds. The icicle deals a decent amount of damage up close, and can also be shot up to 30 feet away, but damage starts dropping past 15 feet.
It takes 5 seconds to reload the blaster.
Great Wall of Ice (300, requires Ranged Materialize, Area Shield): Mei creates a durable 10-foot-tall, 15-foot-wide wall of pure ice up to 20 feet away. It takes 1 second to summon the wall. It can be summoned under people, including Mei, which pushes them to the top of the wall. The wall can be summoned on as little as 2 feet of ground, with the remaining ice hanging in midair. It cannot be summoned on walls. If summoned in an area smaller than the wall, it will shrink to compensate. The durability of the wall is proportionate to the amount of ammo left when summoned, and a reload is required afterwards. The wall lasts for up to 5 seconds, and a cooldown of 7 seconds after the wall breaks is needed before another wall can be summoned.
Cryo-Freeze: (300, requires Area Shield) Mei surrounds herself in a giant block of ice in the space of 1.5 seconds. The block is very difficult to break, but Mei can't do anything while encased in ice. It lasts for 5 seconds or until Mei decides to break out. The durability of the ice block is proportionate to the amount of ammo left in the blaster, and a reload is needed afterwards. Once the ice block breaks, a 10 second cooldown is needed before it can be used again. Using it repeatedly will numb Mei.

For the second time now....or the third time, technically, Colonel staggered upright, the sound of the fountain behind him sounding in his ears. Death had claimed him again. Twice now, in the Omniverse....and once back home. It was becoming an all too disturbingly common trend. One that he could very much like to break as soon as possible.
First things first, though...he had a partner to re-establish connection with.
He put aside the stress of his revival and turned his mind to the business of summoning the item in question. In a matter of minutes, the PET was back in his hand, and booting up. Shortly afterward, the screen flashed to life, and the familiar sight of accessing a remote internet connection scrolled across it.
"Ah. Greetings, sir. I can only assume that you downloading this backup means you were not successful in surviving your endeavors at the mountain." The synthesized voice of his digital assistant sounded just as the green and yellow form materialized on the screen.
"...apparently so." the soldier navi stated.
"I will not push the subject then. However, I will bring up another one. During your absence I maintained watch over information on the dataverse, and took note of a message sent to you during your....occupied state. I will bring it up for you to read."
The message was pulled up, and Colonel read it over with his usual dispassionate expression. "....I see."
"Will you be following up on this, then, sir?"
In response, Colonel just started off toward the distant gates.
"Very well then, sir. I will gather what information I can."

Hello all,
So I have an idea for an upcoming story that will be taking place and was wondering if anyone was interested in joining me. Relevant details are below:
WHO: Vincent, Red XIII (NPC), and hopefully you!
WHAT: Assault on Vincent's antagonist's base of operations.
WHERE: The Dataverse and to a much smaller extent, Coruscant.
WHEN: Things will 'start' after DA ends. Some groundwork has been laid, more will come out as the time nears; exact date to be added when I have a better idea of DA's runtime. Exactly how long this story goes will depend on the number of participants. Aiming for <2 months.
HOW: Any way you can get to the Dataverse. There will be an Uplink terminal at Vincent's base on Tier-6 Coruscant if you can get there safely.
WHY: Reasons.
Long version:
Since entering the Omniverse, Vincent has been haunted by the presence of some faceless entity. He/she has been harassing the gunslinger through nightmares, psychological assaults, and mysterious, anonymous communication. Following DA '15, Vincent went missing, only to awaken in a strange medical facility on Tier-6. Upon investigation of records found on site, he realized that he had been abducted from the facility by unknown means after being assumed dead (though obviously alive in some way due to, ya' know, corpse). Further probing of the facility lead to him stumbling upon evidence that he had been surreptitiously spied upon for years, continuing even past his arrival in the Omniverse. The story will detail his investigation of who or what is behind these happenings.
If you're interested, lemme know here and I'll add names to this post. Be prepared to be at least somewhat active and don't be afraid to pull out if you're no longer interested or if something comes up timing-wise. Questions and comments are encouraged even if you don't plan to join as it will help me structure things. I'll be posting something in the dataverse in the next few days to provide a story reason to join up if you're so inclined.
Interested Parties:
Hiro Protagonist
Zack Fair
Aerith Gainsborough (NPC)

Character name: Deimōs Pánitōs apó Contùrbatiæ
Character source: Original
Character history: Born in Pavoria, Deimōs was inducted at birth into the Cult of the Pavoriæ, his blood offered to the cult's god Pavor at his initiation. He was raised without the help of his actual parents, but by the caretakers of the cult, looked after carefully. The Pavoriæ taught him from birth that Orcs are the superior race to all others, and that mages especially were above anybody else. Upon reaching the age of 7, he was placed into training for the Contúrbatiæ, an elite sect of mind mages who practice the magic of the god of fear himself, and are trained for eventual induction into the Pavorian military. He quickly rose through the ranks, surpassing most of the other trainees, exhibiting a natural aptitude for magic. Upon learning the true extent of the ongoing war between Pavoria and Elandrais, he began questioning if he and his fellow cultists were truly doing the right thing. He'd been raised with the ideas that they were bringing prosperity to Elandrais by spreading their religion, but when he learned how long the war had been going on between the two countries, he began to truly question the morality of what they were doing. He began to secretly meet to speak with prisoners of the war, attempting to learn more about what it was really like outside of the academy halls he was confined to. After speaking with several captured soldiers about what it was like outside of Pavoria, his doubts fully solidified, however he did nothing to act on them as doing such could result in his 're-education.' Upon graduating his training at 23, he was recruited into the military, assigned to a squadron as their Contúrbatiæ, and sent into combat. After several weeks, he deserted. He left under the cover of night and a perception dampening spell, escaping to the neighboring country of Remia by paying slavers to smuggle him into the country. During the trip there he met Lilu, an incubus slave being moved from one home to another. Lilu was also a mage, and the two quickly hit it off talking about magic, of which Lilu was known for utilizing a rare and ancient type. Upon nearing Remia, the two began to devise an escape plan for Lilu, attempting to work around the difficulties of the magic dampening shackles put on him. Eventually deciding to just break the chains and deal with the shackles later, the two made their escape from the slavers. They headed toward Elandrais by sneaking their way onto a trade caravan, Lilu having the common knowledge that most artificers or healers in the country were able to safely remove shackles such as his. Upon reaching Elandrais they found Sangóman, a notably powerful fae mage, who removed Lilu's shackles and allowed them to stay with him. The three lived together for some time, Deimōs and Lilu becoming romantically involved and staying that for quite some time. Several years passed quickly and the two found their places in the town, Deimōs becoming a thaumic artificer and Lilu becoming a renowned researcher in the local academy. However, making a name for himself also brought the attention of the Pavoriæ to Deimōs, who quickly prepared an assassination attempt, not wanting more information about any inner working of the cult or their magic to get out. The assassins attacked in the dead of night, catching the three mages in their beds. Deimōs ran to draw them away from his friend and lover, knowing they weren't trained for combat, and began fighting a fight he knew he would lose. Two of the assassins fell before Deimōs's magic before he himself was pinned to the ground. A dagger swung down to strike the final blow, but before it came, he had vanished by Omni's machinations.
Physical Description: (Sketch by CutiChan, full commission in the works. Commission is of a more modern reimagining of the character, but it works. Lilu gets him a keyhole sweater as a joke and he unironically wears it constantly.)

Deimos is a 31 year old Pavorian orc who stands at 7'4" (223 cm) and weighs ~395 lbs (179 kg). He has a very strong, bodybuilder like build, light green skin, brown hair cut into a crew cut, and bright yellow eyes with black scleras. He has a squarish face with a strong jaw, short beard, slightly pointed ears, and two small tusks protruding from his lower jaw. He usually wears simple brown or black leather leggings, black boots, and usually forgoes a shirt, as he usually ends up ripping even the biggest clothes he can find, as they're pretty much only designed with humans in mind. His clothes are almost always tight fitting, as it's very difficult to find anything that actually fits somebody of his size, so I'm sure he'll have plenty of fun making new clothes with omnilium.

-Contùrbatiæ Battlemage Staff (Physical Strength) 300 OM
Deimōs's staff that he received upon graduating from his Contúrbatiæ training. It's 7' 3" long with a 2.2-1.8 inch diameter, and made of silver with leather handgrips toward the center. Near the ends, it flares out slightly like a mace, used for striking. Wields the staff like one would a bo staff, often spinning it around himself to force opponents to keep a slight distance, and striking with it aiming to break bones. Deimōs also uses it to help channel his spells. The weapon's strength lies in its ability to block and keep opponents from coming too far into his space, allowing him a modicum of distance, as well as providing something to channel his magic through, letting him cast more easily. It doesn't hit often, however, due to the need to build up momentum to land a hit that will deal lasting damage. It also can be tiring to keep up a long fight, as the weapon is rather heavy being made out of metal, and constantly rebuilding the momentum of the staff's spinning after every block or strike can be very tiring.
![[Image: peacekeeper-staff-%5B2%5D-978-p.jpg]](http://www.thevikingstore.co.uk/ekmps/shops/thevikingstore1/images/peacekeeper-staff-%5B2%5D-978-p.jpg)
-Shadow Barrier (Area shield) 300 OM
Deimōs channels his magic to create a barrier of dark magic in the direction it is cast. The barrier lasts for 3 seconds before dissipating, and either blocks or heavily mitigates the damage of incoming attacks until the duration runs out, or the barrier breaks. The barrier takes about half a second to form, and is about 4.5 feet in diameter in a circular shape. The skill takes a good amount of concentration and effort to cast, cannot be cast while moving, can only be cast within a few feet of himself, and he cannot cast other moves during the half second cast time. It's slightly tiring to use.
-Mind Flay (Area Attack, Debuff) 300 OM
Deimōs channels his magic for 2 seconds before unleashing a blast of mind assaulting magic in a 90 degree cone in front of him, reaching 10 feet away and ~32 feet wide at the very widest part of the cone. The blast of magic deals a very small amount of damage upon impacting the target, similar to a concussive wave. Enemies hit by the wave of magic develop a sudden and very intense headache as the magic assaults their senses, overwhelming and distracting them, making any kind of focus difficult for 10 seconds which tapers off over another 20 seconds after the first 10 of full effect. This move requires a large amount of focus, so it's not likely to be cast more than once during a fight due to its strenuous casting requirements. It is moderately tiring, can be cast while moving, but not faster than a walk. Those near the end of the cone take only half the effect as those close to him. Other moves cannot be cast during the cast time.
-Nightfall (Area Attack, Debuff) 300 OM
Deimōs channels his magic into the area around him, causing a 12 foot bubble of shadow magic to overtake the area around him for 4 seconds, preventing those outside from seeing in, and those inside from seeing out, but not obscuring vision inside of the bubble itself. At the end of the duration, the magic collapses inward toward him, doing decent damage to any enemies still in the area. Leaving the bubble during the duration before the collapse does not deal this damage. This skill is relatively easy to cast, and takes 2 seconds of channeling to cast, and is his primary skill for fighting, as it forces opponents to either disengage while active or take some damage while staying close. He can move full speed while channeling, and can continue to fight with his staff as normal as it is not intensive to cast. He cannot cast other abilities during the 2 second channel, but can cast other move after finishing the initial cast before it collapses. Is slightly tiring to cast.
-Mindshatter- T1 Utility Super Move (Area Attack, Debuff) 600 OM
Deimōs focuses all of his available magic into a 10 foot area around him, projecting hundreds of horrific experiences directly into the minds of enemies around him, breaking their minds for a short time and rendering them incapable of action for 10-15 seconds. This allows him to disrupt opponents, set up a strong attack, or disable them to protect himself. Can be cast while moving, and has a 1.5 second channel time. Is very taxing to use.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

The first thing I heard was running water. My eyes were not ready to open, they were full of crud and gunk, so my mind made a mental list of guesses of where the sound originates. It could be Toriel filling a pot full of water, it could be Papyrus in the bathroom using a water bottle to pretend to pee again, or possibly Sans built a water fountain in my room. But when I finally opened my eyes, I found I was way off. No, it was impossible for me to guess this.
What I saw was a world of white. The color was clearly not my ceiling, the sky was just white. I thought it was overcast at first, but clearly it’s not, it wasn’t grey enough. The muscles in my limbs and back finally woke and I pushed myself into sitting straight up. My head whirred as the blood came rushing into the rest of my body. My eyes, which had long enough time to wake up, took a second to come into focus.
I was definitely near a fountain, right next to it in fact. It was huge and circular in shape. Lining the middle island were a bunch of Froggits spitting a steady stream into the main pond. In the middle stood the statue of mom; Toriel. She looked to be made of marble, and she looked just as the moment I first met her.
Once again, I half suspected this to be Sans’ doing, but it was clear this is not the same world I came from. Even that almighty skeleton couldn’t devise something like this. I tried to remember if Alphys had sent me to another dimension or something, but all I could remember was going to bed and taking a nap as Toriel started making a pie.
Oh no, Toriel. She must be worried sick about me! I could see her running around, screaming to all the monsters, arranging a search party. I really hope she’s okay.
Now however, was not the time to concern myself of such things.
I thought hard, about the blank sky, about my rude awakening, about the fountain…
“The fountain!” I yelled aloud as it hit me.
The nature of the thing was no coincidence, it was placed here for me. It was placed to make me remember my first hours in the underground. Whoever, whatever, took me here, clearly wanted me to draw parallels.
‘Maybe I’m here to do something.’ I thought to myself.
A slowly stammered onto my feet. I hadn’t noticed how hard the ground was. Maybe the trip dulled my senses as well. I saw that the ground was all white and featureless as the skyl. Whatever this place was, it was strange, not that I was a stranger to that sort of thing.
I scanned around, I could see strange things in the distance, like gateways or something like that. Other than those, I could see nothing into forever.
“Do I just pick a way at random?” I said puzzled. I wasn’t sure if there was a direction was a meant to go. Say what you will about the Underground, it was at least straightforward.
But as if to answer my question, I felt a soft red glow encompass my body. I look down, and a red heart shape was on my chest, illuminating me,
My soul!
I hold it aloft in my hand, and I notice that the light was slowly fading in and out. I hold it close to my face, but the flashing ceased and the soul became a duller light. I stretch out my arm again and the light continued slowly flashing.
I took a moment to test it. I turned my body around to many direction, finding I didn’t get a single flash, but aiming it the direction I started…
“Well, I guess that’s the direction I need to go!” I said, I honestly I was choosing not to question it. I stepped forward, making the long walk to… Wherever it was I was going.

With a low groan, the hanger doors at the end of the facility swung inward. The nearby primes and secondaries turned their heads as fresh sunlight filtered in through the open door. Beyond the doors, a large jet sat with its engines idled and a staircase with a red carpet extending down from its side hatch to the pavement.
About halfway up the stairs, a beautifully coifed man in a crisp purple suit leaned back on the rail. With a coy smirk, he waved to the crowd before grabbing a small plastic device from his pocket. When he spoke, his voice was projected through the various speakers that filled the facility.
“Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen. My name is Karl Jak, and I welcome you to my lovely Dante Verse. I just want to give a warm thanks to everyone for offering your time and livelihood to help us find our missing friends.”
With a saccharine smirk, Karl gestured with a hand toward the side of the plane. “Now if you’ll all join me, we’ll be leaving shortly. I look forward to seeing you all. Smooches.”
After blowing a kiss, Karl dropped the little intercom device off the side of the stairs and strode up into the plane. A few minutes later, everyone was aboard and the large jet roared into the skies of the Danteverse.

Quote:You are all aboard a very large jet. Think of the fanciest jet you’ve ever seen, either in real life or a movie. Then make it fancier. It’s up to you to decide how you spend your time on the flight. The plane has three bars—a dive bar on the lower levels, a sports bar, and a ‘VIP’ club for people who signed up to go along. The flight includes everyone participating, as well as some Syntech workers and some others from various verses. Karl Jak is also present, and you can feel free to chat him up if you so desire. The only places that is 100% off-limits is the pilot’s cabin. If you go in there, you can expect to be ejected from the plane or worse.
In-character, the flight will last for about two, two and a half hours. Out of character, this phase will last until Thursday night around 8 pm CST, pending some sort of crisis on my end (these are possible until next Monday, when I perform my own mic drop and start summer vacation).
Have fun. Adventure starts soon.
