Deimōs braced for the blow from a blade that would never come, the sounds of fighting suddenly fading away from his ears. Opening his eyes, he saw before him a black void contrasting with a bright white silhouette. It felt to him like the being was somehow grinning despite its facelessness. Thoughts raced in his head upon seeing the being.
'Am I dead?'
'What god is this?'
'It doesn't look like any god I know of...'
'Maybe it's that one 'true' god those Elandrians like to tout about?'
His musings were interrupted when the being began to speak. The thing, Omni, he noted it was called, gave vague explanation for his current situation, though it raised more questions than it answers. From the sound of his explanation, there would be competition for this omnilium stuff, whatever it was. Before he could question the situation more, he suddenly found himself on solid ground, surrounded by a white expanse. Deimōs turned around, surveying his surroundings, to be met with a large fountain behind him. It was quite large, made of a strange dark purple metal. The piping was frantic, branching out from a central point some ten feet above the base of the fountain. The pipes straggled out every which way, branching off each other like the tendrils of a neuron. He stared up at it, wondering how so much mass was held up by the singular pipe leading upward to the twisted mass. Perhaps nothing in this place made any sense, but what would be something he'd just have to figure out.

Character name: Saint Walker
Character source: DC Comics
Character history:
Bro'Dee Walker was a strong, faithful believer in his planet's version of an all-powerful deity. He had a father as well as a wife and children. His life on Astonia succumbed to turmoil due to the sun dying and the planet along with it. He had a plan to find God's "Messiah" at the top of Mount Helious. Saint Walker left with his family to reach the top of Mount Helious. It was a hard and scorching trip and while on the journey each member of his family perished due to various causes. After nine days of pain and dehydration, Saint Walker finally reached the top to find no one there - only a slab of stone. He screamed at God, close to losing all hope. At that moment, a storm broke out and the water sliding off the monolith gave off his reflection. Realizing this meant he was to be the one to save his people, Walker descended from Mount Helious and started preaching to the Astonians, eventually calming them and leading them with his hope for a future for Astonia. After he made it, the sun spontaneously grew younger and a Blue Power Ring found him. It chose Saint Walker as the first of the Blue Lantern Corps member, given his ability to instil great hope in others.
After this life changing moment, Walker vowed to bring hope to all those that needed it most. He soon led the Blue Lanterns in assisting against the Black Lanterns during the Blackest Night incident. Soon after, Walker found himself in a mysterious land. His ring no longer had the same powers as it did before, and a man like creature there explained it. He was told he must collect a substance known as Omnilium to gain these back. So, invigored with his hope, Walker set out, to explore this unfamiliar land.
Stats:
Atk: 1
DEF:2

TEC:5
Starting Proficiencies:
Buffing, Ranged Attacking
Starting Powers:
Master acrobat, Healing
Starting Moves:
(300 Omnilium, Ranged Proficiency required) Feel the power of Hope!: Through the power of his ring, Saint Walker can shoot a basic blue beam of energy at his opponents, shaped like a kunai, moving as fast as a bullet. It is stronger than a basic blast, like one that would be acquired without a move, but weaker than other moves of the same omnium price that do not have the extra speed. This move takes only about 2 seconds to charge, due to it's weaker power. This blast will only work in the range of about 50 metres before slowing down and falling.
(300 Omnilium, Buff Proficiency required) Invigored by Hope!: Walker shines his ring in the air, making all his allies that see it invigored with hope (Those who see it means all those in the same thread.) This makes them able to have hope that they will be ok, thus making them shrug off any wounds that they have for about 30 seconds. This move however takes a lengthy 25 seconds to charge, so it is mostly used when in a safe location. Only 3 people can be under this affect at once however, as this technique must draw upon the rings strongest storage of hope.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

Okay, so imagine a 90s slasher flick: some monster chasin' a bunch of teenagers around trying to kill them.
Only everyone - even the monster - is a player character.
It's the bee's knees.
Get this game.

Here's a thread for all the one-liners, song lyrics, book scenes, etc. that you really like and won't fit in your signature. Feel free to quote one, several, or a really ridiculous amount.
I'll start us off! Source is C.S. Lewis' The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Chronicles of Narnia)
Quote:"Fly! Fly! About with your ship and fly! Row, row, row for your lives away from this accursed shore...This is the Island where Dreams come true... do you hear what I say? This is where dreams - dreams, do you understand, come to life, come real. Not daydreams: dreams."
There was about half a minute's silence and then, with a great clatter of armour, the whole crew were tumbling down the main hatch as quick as they could and flinging themselves on the oars to row as they had never rowed before; and Drinian was swinging round the tiller, and the boatswain was giving out the quickest stroke that had ever been heard at sea...
"Row, row," bellowed Caspian. "Pull for all our lives."
