  Second Prime
Posted by: Marisa Kirisame - 06-10-2016, 05:11 PM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - Replies (4)

Well I would like peoples opinion about a second Prime
so the first one is Arceus
[Image: 250px-493Arceus.png]
So the reasoning for Arceus is that he is a god in his world and I think that it would be a great plot that A god of Creation vs Omni to see who would triumph and also he is one of the pokemon I enjoy

the second Prime would be C.o.d.e.
and he is a Video game character in the year 2300 that was the "Good guy" in his game of Tank warfare X and that someone messed with his code to the point he was able to jump games he gained knowledge of of things his Code didn't let him know about the world, and go into the real world. he would talk like Error!Sans but he would be different.

  Inofficial IC live-chat poll
Posted by: Amaterasu - 06-10-2016, 03:23 PM - Forum: The Whateververse, Man - Replies (4)

As those of you who've known me for a while may know, I am a live-chat roleplayer at heart - which is of course not to say that I don't enjoy forum RPs! But, I'm digressing.

I would just like to check who, if anyone, would be interested in live-chat Omniverse roleplay, using the Discord chatrooms to play. It might work out, or it might not. We'll see Smile

Keep in mind that it's entirely inofficial and technically unrelated to the Omniverse forum. You may use the same character or make up a new one. Nothing you do on Discord will give you any advantage on the site (OM, words towards quest completion, flavor items, information...)

If it kicks off we can even add things like evening events or fast-paced battles. We'll see!

If you vote about being uncertain or against it, I would appreciate if you explain it. You don't have to, of course, but I would like feedback, positive and negative.

  Inadequacy
Posted by: Makoto Yuki - 06-10-2016, 10:39 AM - Forum: The Astral Realm - No Replies

This was a disaster. This, all of it. I'm a mess.

Of course I knew I wasn't as powerful as I was before! It was obvious! At first I thought I was just exhausted, maybe I was just too disoriented from coming back to life after so, so long. But I realize know, I was only lying to myself, trying to reject the reality of the worst case scenario.

That faceless bastard wasn't satisfied with taking me from my resting place, denying me my purpose, he also had the gall to steal my effort! All those grueling months of endlessly fighting monsters, standing up to twisted manifestations of man's deepest desires that sought to destroy everything we held  dear. The sleepless nights spent training, preparing for harder challenges, tougher fights, for the inevitable we all knew was coming, but denied until the very last moment.

All of that, gone with the wind, like it never existed in the first place.

I've never felt this much rage before, this much loathing, this smothering feeling of, of utter incompetence!

This wasn't the first time I've faced in impossibly powerful enemy. I've trumped a god before, what's one more? But not like this, not now. It was idiotic of me to cling to the faintest of hopes and rush in with no plan, nothing to fall back on, while I was at my weakest to top it all off.

No, I need more power, and I need it now. And nothing in this god forsaken place is going to stop me from protecting the ones most precious to me. I'll reach them before anything bad happens, and they'll be just fine until I do. They have to be.

He's Bad to the Bone, but it's Hammer Time! Brawl in the Nexus!
Posted by: Thor - 06-09-2016, 08:10 AM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (6)

Thor left the little girl with the big backpack where she stood. In this Omniverse nothing was as it seemed, and that bothered Thor. He did not like being asked questions he did not know the answer to. He did not like being a plaything for the Omni being. Thor needed to hit something. As he approached the fountain Thor saw a strange looking man yelling at an equally strange little person. He wanted to attack the larger man. He might be trying to hurt what Thor could now see was a small girl. He wanted to charge at the hooded man Hammer first and lose himself in the simplicity of battle. But he would not attack until he had actual cause. He had walked the path of blind violence and he did not like were it lead. It was then that the hooded man with blue skin threw back his head and Thor saw the necrotic face beneath the hood. Thor’s eyes widened he let Mjolnir slide down his hand so that he held it at its full length. A necromancer. Surely he was planning on spreading evil and suffering for the living. Thor raised his Hammer and pointed at the blue-skinned man.

“Necromancer!” With that he spun his Hammer and launched himself through the air at his skeletal foe, Hammer first.

Thor slammed into Skeletor, sending him tumbling backwards over the vast emptiness of the Nexus. Thor landed heavily after the brutal bash and looked at the small green-haired girl standing in between him and the fountain.

“You need no longer fear that sorcerer of death! He faces the Prince of Asgard now!” Thor bellowed, charged once more at the blue-skinned man.

Skeletor lifted himself from the ground in time to see the massive blonde warrior halt in his charge just long enough to throw his Hammer at him with surprising force. Another prince with a magic weapon… Wonderful. Skeletor though to himself as he raised his hand, holding his palm out to face the Hammer. Thor watched as Mjolnir came to the sorcerer’s hand and turned back without making contact. Thor caught his Hammer and stopped. This sorcerer had the power to turn Mjolnir. This necromancer was obviously stronger than those that he had faced in the past.  He would need to be careful in this fight. Thor began to spin his Hammer and circle around Skeletor, studying his opponent. In his world Thor had met very few who could match his strength in combat, but it was become obvious that in this Omniverse that was no longer the case.

  When Chip's are Down
Posted by: Carmelita - 06-08-2016, 07:29 PM - Forum: Coruscant - Replies (2)

Coruscant’s Tier 1, now that she was not skulking through its shadows, was significantly easier to navigate. A quick check with her eyepieces confirmed that the cyber expert she had hoped to consult had replied, providing a hefty attachment to run. She forwarded the package to Chip, with an explanation as to what it contained. There was another message from one of the forums she’d made an account on for her real name, something from a Karl Jak. She put that to one side to deal with later.

There was a light drizzle in the air, though the temperature was warm and it felt like a spring shower more than a winter’s misery. Carmelita stepped out of the portal square and took a few moments to summon her red overcoat, fastening it loosely by the top two buttons.

She made her way through the open gardens to the nearest pedestrian lift, idly looking at her surroundings and subconsciously searching for each camera and stormtrooper guard as she walked. Stepping into the lift on her own, she made to go down as far as it would take her… namely Tier 4.

There was a two minute descent to handle, and Carmelita received her reply from Chip in the form of a Tier 6 address and a note that their new electronic friend was still half asleep. She took that to mean Chip was trying to keep her mind off her brother’s plight by fixing the AI. She turned off her earpiece as the lift came to a halt, the smell of cigarette smoke wafting through the opening doors.

Tier 4 was a chaotic mess of neon to Carmelita’s first glance, the section of the tier she was in set to night. She took a moment to look for signs to one of the industrial lifts down to the lowest tiers, stepping out of the busy street to peer at one of the ill-lit street markings.

She clamped a hand down on the wrist of of a man who had been going for her overcoat’s pocket. There wasn’t anything in there, but she gave a warning growl anyway without turning her head and the sound of running feet soon receded into the darkness of a nearby alley.

The industrial lift was a iron monstrosity, closely guarded by a contingent of stormtroopers. She flashed her badge at them with an air of confidence as she approached, nestling herself between two empty vans as the screech of the cables and motors reached her ears. There was a noticeable jerk and the grimy lift began descending even further.

There was a stop for Tier 5, one of the vans leaving to be replaced with a truck full of scrap, before the lift ground to a halt for Tier 6. Carmelita was the only pedestrian to leave at this point, walking confidently past the heavily armoured stormtroopers and into the hustle and bustle of the wood and breezeblock jungle that she had come across.

The only light available down here were the stuttering roof lights, the flickering strong enough to give her a migraine. There were screams and shouts all around, the riot of hard-done by citizens all around a cacophony of sentience. Carmelita turned on her eyepieces and began trawling the dataverse, finally coming across something that might barely function as a map. The section of the tier she needed to go to was at least a half hour walk away, so she wasted no time in heading off.

Once she had left the vicinity of the lift, her surroundings rapidly degraded into hovels. She was well aware that her quality of dress and the fancy earpieces would mark her as an outsider, and she wasted no time in finding a suitable doorway and activating her collar’s cloak. The familiar smell of singed air replaced that of feces and sewage, and she breathed a quiet sigh of relief.

--

The sight of children playing barefoot in an alley whilst two muscular men stood watch was her first indication that she had entered gang territory. Before now people had been scared to even stand in the crime ridden streets that demarcated the areas, but here it seemed that those who were in were either confident enough in their affiliation or were being strong armed to let their kids stay under a gang’s protection. She frowned quietly. Her destination was slap in the middle of this gang’s neighbourhood, no doubt intentionally trying to throw off more cowardly pursuers, and she now had to decide how to proceed from here.

From a quick check of prices, the healing abilities of bacta led to it being a highly valuable commodity. Likely the gang did not know about its presence on its turf, or else it would have been requisitioned very quickly. Nimo was probably here under a pseudonym and flashing a picture of him would draw way too much attention. Whoever this Sullivan was, Carmelita intended for him to never learn she was here.

Carmelita looked carefully. The ideal spot to learn about new people in the neighbourhood would be…

A trio of old ladies sat in a rough porch, discussing events as they washed clothing clean of suspiciously red stains. Carmelita carefully sat nearby, relying on her cloak to keep her hidden as she listened in.

“Did you hear Mirka got shot twice yesterday?”

“Oh dear, I knew that boy was going to die young. Much too eager to beat his chest at the street corners. How’s Mildred?”

“She’s got together with a girl from the Two Teeth, they’re making money from their bodies while making the ten limbed beast together in their down time. My grandkids know better than that, of course.”

“Ours too. We brought up Adrian’s fate of dying from Exrig and that scared them straight not to market their junks.”

“Enough about that, what about Jess? She could do with a partner now she’s old enough to run for Old Fakir. What about that young man that’s in Regi’s old home.”

“A monoeye and a trieye? Can’t say it’d work out. I think we should give Tom a chance, nudge him and tell him Jess was making eyes at him.”

“Stop that, you’re getting worse. Pass me those rags, I’ll get them clean for Yixy and he’d better pay up on time.”

With the new information under her belt, Carmelita smiled and began preparations to find this home of Regi...

  Fights we'd love to see.
Posted by: Amber Veritz - 06-08-2016, 12:58 PM - Forum: The Whateververse, Man - Replies (8)

We all love a good fight, so maybe we can give our fellow writes a reason to meet up and smack each other until we laugh at the loser's failure! Post here some match up you'd love to see, whether it's your characters, or just between two characters you'd love to read a fight about! Everything from one on ones to full on brawls.

I'd personally love to see Amber vs. Okor, Speed and Power Vs. straight up defense. Would be fun to write, and to write with Shasums.

(Also, I am not sure if a thread like this exists already, I didn't see one anywhere.)

For Glory! (Skeletor Vs. Thor) challenge
Posted by: Skeletor - 06-08-2016, 10:24 AM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - Replies (30)

Thor has challenged Skeletor to battle at the Fountain of Infinity, and I have accepted.

The ever-helpful Mark has agreed to judge for us.

The current rules specs are to the best of my knowledge:
word count: 800
time to post: 72 hours from opponent's last post
SP: only Thor has them, but go ahead! XD
random events: None (its the nexus...)
Damage meter: ON

I think that's everything, though Thor is more than welcome to point out anything I've missed.
