I woke up in the master bedroom of the Crimson Militia headquarters, and slowly felt the sun’s rays hit my face. I sat up in my bed, resting my back against the head of the bed, and began wondering what I was going to do now.
I pulled out my cell phone and began exploring the dataverse. After about half an hour from seeing everything from a dating website that I kept in the back of my mind, to a website based on objecting to Omni, to a list of all the current bounties for each faction. I scrolled through it, looking at the different bounties that each faction had listed. It seemed that everybody had a bounty out for somebody.
One bounty in particular caught my eye. It was a smaller bounty, and it seemed to have been posted earlier the previous day, meaning the person was likely still in the area described. It was for a young woman with a plethora of colors painting her skin, hair, and eyes. It also said she was able to change her appearance at will, which may prove to be a pretty big problem when it comes to tracking her down.
According to the bounty board, the woman, Luci, had last been seen on Tier five in Coruscant. Well then, it would be fun to make the trip back to Coruscant and hunt down the woman, and get paid for my troubles. And based on the powers displayed, it would be an interesting challenge to say the least.
I took the time to summon a carbine rifle, as well as six magazines for it and a black chest rig to hold the ammo. Once everything was in place, I headed for the gate to Coruscant. After going through an extensive security checkpoint where I had to surrender my weapons to checking and explain what I was doing in Coruscant in the first place, I was allowed access to the city, on the grounds that my weapons were only to be used for hunting down the bounty I was after.
I headed down to Tier five, and began wandering the streets looking for someone who matched the description of the person I was looking for. I didn’t bother asking anyone around me, as I knew that most of these people would not be willing to help someone who is looking for a known criminal, who is becoming a force to be reckoned with in this area.
I pulled out my phone and looked back through the information provided about Luci by the Empire. She could shapeshift, hmm? If she was in a shapeshifting from, my enhanced senses should be able to notice that something is not what it appears. It wasn’t a sure thing by any means, but it was better than walking around blind.
I slipped into my enhanced senses and began wandering around Tier five, waiting for any sign of something pretending to be what it wasn’t. I also kept my eyes out for anyone who looked more like a rainbow than a bowl of Lucky Charms did, but began to feel helpless as the hours went by. It didn’t help that I had to take breaks every few minutes because of the energy consumption from always having my senses activated.
As the sky began to slowly turn black, I felt something pretending in a building. It felt fuzzy at first, but as I got closer to the building, there was no mistaking it. Whether it was the person I was after, or just merely someone hiding, there was no way to tell from outside. So I did what any reasonable person that was looking for someone would do.
I knocked on the door.

Character Name: Moira Branwen
Character Source: Original
Character History: Born into a wealthy family, Moira had just about everything. Well, except for expectations, goals, and the adoration of her parents, but she was your average girl nonetheless. While her family oversaw affairs in stock and trade, dabbling in business with other empires and the like, Moira wouldn't do much outside of playing with her friends and laying around in her tower for most of her childhood years, as far as everyone else knew. Beneath the surface, you could find her in the family's library, picking out the more dubious tomes from her family's collection and practicing dark arts in her bedroom, mimicking the cultists she would often watch while playing outside, before they chased her off anyway. This went on for years on end, honing her skills in witchcraft and the like.
One day, peering through the telescope on her balcony revealed an invasion in the next town over, pirates invading this quaint little port village seemingly without any casualties. Needless to say, she was inspired. What better way to put an end to her seemingly eternal cabin fever than to set out to sea and plunder whoever she likes! With that, she packed her tomes, grimoires, and her teddy bear U'rszak, swiped some money right from her family's reserves, and bought herself a mighty ship! She never returned on that note, leaving her neglectful family.
The years pass and her gains grow with her bounty, even buying enough teddy bears to form her own crew, using the rest as little magic test subjects. Moira likes teddy bears. Her first mate, U'rszak, was a gift from her parents, one of the only gifts they had every given her and the only thing she has to remember them by. The bear itself was tattered and discolored, grotesque tentacle-like appendages bursting from the belly seam and idly writhing. Her pack of teddy bears are animated with magic, so as not to get too lonely out at sea.
Fascination with stuffed bears aside, one night she had just a tad too much to drink and blacked out, hitting the floor with a mighty thud before waking up in the presence of Omni.
Physical Appearance: Moira is known for her auburn hair, red peaked cap, and facial tattoos-- a large crimson "X" and little "stitches" covering her mouth to match her first mate.
Here's a little WIP thing I did, it's not quite done but it gives an idea of her tattoos! http://i.imgur.com/6BIWCTA.png Just pretend her cap is red and her crest is gold~
Celestial Warhammer and Dark Matter Shield - 1200 OM (requires Physical Strength and Area Shield Proficiency)
In the realm of divine powers, Moira is no stranger to the astral realm. Earning these glistening starmetal arms from one of her stranger voyages out on the sea, Moira realized after coming in contact with these items, she could summon them at will, not unlike a Prime would in the Omniverse.
As for the weapons themselves, the Celestial warhammer comes in at a decently large 3 foot length, her shield one and a half foot in diameter; this combined with it's measly 5 pound weight allows Moira to seamlessly switch from two-handing the hammer and keep her shield up less than a second later. These stellar, dark purple weapons adorned in some of the finest and hardest wooden materials in her own universe are almost nigh-indestructible in nature, though Primes may have an easier time finding their way around that.
To counteract this, Moria's Dark Matter shield is able to project a protective field of dark energy that bubbles around the witch at a 1 meter diameter, as if a body of celestial debris surrounded her as it fully summoned, taking about 2 seconds to project and keep up. This energy keeps her decently safe from ranged attacks, but doesn't prevent melee attacks from hitting her as her normal shield would. Moria can keep this energy shield up for about 5 seconds before it flickers away. As due result of the energy being exerted, Moria can get quite exhausted if the full 5 second duration passes without lowering her shield.
Primes and secondaries with enough patience can realize a well placed kick or constant melee pressure within the bubble will keep Moira at bay, not to mention if they can sneak an attack in before the energy field formed fully, or worse yet, hit her from behind as she kept her shield up, but... only if they dare come close to the warhammer in her hand.
Though she is unable to attack keeping her energy shield up, Moria is able to convert the kinetic energy her shield absorbs and channel it as potential energy for her warhammer in order to later attack with and use against her opponents later on. After all, revenge is sweet, and Moira had a thing for treats, despite how sensitive her teeth seem to be nowadays!
I have read the rules of conduct and have agreed to the terms!

Character name: Yusuke Urameshi
Character source: Yu Yu Hakusho
Character history: (After the end of the series) It was the day he was and wasn't looking forward to, the day he would marry Keiko like he promised all those years ago. Almost a week before the event he said to her he would marry her for real this time but it seemed that would have to wait for a really really long time as he had some business in the demon realm again. As bad luck would have it the night he was supposed to travel to the demon world would happen he felt different in a way like he was somewhere else entirely. Was he still asleep? Did he even sleep at all? Where was this place? So many questions he couldn't even answer that is until he saw it for lack of a better term. This person or thing was sitting in what seemed like an endless void of darkness that Yusuke had been standing in for what seemed like forever. Before he could speak out the thing announced itself as Omni, wanting to say something sarcastic at this point he noticed he couldn't say anything at all but somehow this Omni person knew what questions he wanted to ask. Where was he? Who was this Omni and how could he get back? Omni seemed to only answer the first two questions but never said anything about the third one. So basically he was trapped here in this Omniverse and the only way to survive was to collect orbs of light called Omnilium? Again Yusuke wanted to say something sarcastic but instead just thought it. 'Wow what an ego this guy has naming everything about himself or is it itself? Meh who cares just let me out of here!' Suddenly he was transported to a blank like area, well white and devoid of any life is more like it so yeah blank. But in the front of the empty landscape lay a fountain bursting with water and color, something that would normally be unusual to people. "Jeez what a load that guy just told me." He said out loud now noticing he could talk again. "Ugh I guess the wedding is off." he sighed as he pressed on toward who knows where.

Once fired it travels at the speed of a bullet and can be charged for greater power. Takes half a second to charge the move normally without need to charge it anymore. The user has to remain stationary to charge it further than the normal time to charge. Charging this move any further can go up to 10 seconds for a much more powerful attack. Once fired it will travel until it hits the target or hits a object such as a tree or wall in which case the beam stops and fades away after use. Damage taken from this beam is normally minor in damage but when charged for 5 seconds it as at moderate, when charged for the maximum of 10 seconds it is at serious. Can be fired to 12 shots maximum before it takes 10 seconds to recharge and use again, charged shots take 20 seconds to recharge. Cannot fire more than one charged shot at a time but normal shots can be fired one after the other. This attack does not have homing and cannot be controlled by the user for different directions upon firing.

DEF: 1

Starting Proficiencies:
Ranged Proficiency (1000)
Starting Powers:
Nada.
Starting Moves:
Frostbolt - 300 OM
Jaina uses her frost magic to fire a bolt of ice, approximately 15 centimeters in length and 4 centimeters thick. Because it’s a very basic spell, it doesn’t require any incantations or channeling.
The projectiles travel about 30 meters before falling off, much like an arrow would. Frostbolts can be casted while moving, but their accuracy deteriorates beyond 20 meters.
Their travel speed is akin to that of an arrow fired from a compound bow, about 90 meters per second.
The projectiles aren't very draining to use, but casting over a dozen in a short period of time will mean she'll have to recover for a moment before casting more.
Frostbolt is a spell Jaina is capable of casting with only one hand, meaning that other spells that she can cast with one hand, can be used in conjunction with Frostbolt.
Assist T1: Water Elemental (1000)
Jaina summons a water elemental to fight by her side. The water elemental is about three meters tall and the shoulder width is about two meters and its body is made of water, as well as metal gauntlets in each hand. The being also has a formation of ice atop its head, much like a human would have hair. It has no legs, instead rising from the ground on a pillar of water, utilizing it to move. The elemental moves on a speed of a jogging human.
The elemental uses combat methods akin to Jaina’s own, utilising frostbolts and other ice magic. The elemental is also capable of simply hammering people to submission with its massive fists.

Character name: Helel ben Schachar
Character source: custom
Character history:
Once considered the most beautiful and exalted man in the universe, Helel fell from grace after having an affair with one of his wife's mortal creations. He pled for forgiveness, but received none; instead, he was cast from his home, to suffer a damnation of eternal separation from his beloved. But before he reached his destination, a black hole warped him to another dimension . . .
Physical Description:
![[Image: christopher-mason-14778.jpg]](http://www.notiesmanagement.com/profiles/men/main/christopher-mason-217/book/christopher-mason-14778.jpg)
Helel has the figure of a model—6'3” and 165 lbs.—and a chiseled masterpiece for a face. In his normal state, his hair is dirty blond, and his eyes are a blue with a green tint.
Usually, he can be seen wearing charcoal armor over obsidian blue underclothes; a cloak of the same color stretches down to his boots.
Stats:
ATK: 1
DEF: 2
SPD: 2
TEC: 5
Starting Proficiencies: (1000) Ranged Proficiency (1000)
Starting Powers: (3400) Telepathy (1500), Insight (1600),
Starting Moves: (300) Influence (300)
Influence
With the powers of Insight and Telepathy at his disposal, Helel manipulates his subject to do his bidding*
* Helel must be able to depict the target's face for him to trigger the move, and is only successful against one target at a time (unless upgraded in the future).
* When using this move against unimportant secondaries (role-play fodder situations), the effects last until death, amnesiac trauma, or until the secondary leaves Helel's line of sight; when used against other Primes the following rules apply (regulations on duration and specifics on what can/can't be done will be communicated between the involved parties):
- If Helel's TEC is lower than his target's then the move is nullified
- If Helel's TEC is equal to his target's then this mo has a minimal effect (breaks target's train of though thought, and/or tempts target)
- If Helel's TEC is higher than his target then this move deeply persuades the target (strong thoughts, may or may not be persuaded but the intention manifests)
- If Helel's TEC is double his target's then this move works almost instantly and completely.
* In a PvP setting, this move only works (if at all--check the above "potency" laws) for a brief amount of time, and cannot be used for god-mode scenarios (convincing someone to stab their self, or to relinquish personal belongings and give up the fight), nor can it be used to influence a Super Move; it can only be used to influence actions such as, but not limited to: convincing someone to stop charging a move, dissuading the accuracy and/or strength of a move being used against him. This can also be used to influence a secondary whose face is within Helel's range of sight, but only simple commands can be used (attack, shield me, etc). While concentrating on a target, Helel is unable to attack or defend until whatever influencing command he attempts processes/fails.
This move cannot be used against other Primes in a PvP setting until the following have been acquired: Enhanced Senses, Debuff Proficiency

Question about Phasing Power |
|
Posted by: Luci - 01-13-2017, 10:43 PM - Forum: Help Desk
- Replies (24)
|
|
So, it looks like Yukki MIGHT be coming after Luci, so I guess now is a good time to bring this up.
He's fully equipped with guns and knives and stuff. Luci has the Phasing power.
Here's an excerpt from the phasing power
Be warned that while phasing, you are still vulnerable to energy and elemental-based attacks.
Which seems unfair to Yukki. Just because he chose a pistol instead over a laser gun he shouldn't be penalized.
Here's an exert form Balancing
Due to this balancing effect, two weapons summoned by the same individual that result in the same effect will always have the same strength, regardless of the weapon's mechanism.
and lastly, here's a bit from Moves that really captures the spirit of what I'm trying to get at
Moves, whether offensive or defensive, may not have benefits against particular elements or character types. For example, an attack which pierces water shields, or a shield super-effective against fire. This is because due to the nature of our site, some characters may solely utilise a particular elements like flame or electricity, whereas others may use several elements, or original elements that exist only in their own fiction. We don't want people to pick characters based on perceived advantages and disadvantages, or characters who use many elements to have an advantage over those who are specialised. Therefore, these elements are to be regarded as "fluff". If you want to give your move fodder by saying it only works against evil characters or mechanical characters, that's your choice, but it won't improve the move's efficacy or give you any special advantage, because it is purely fodder.
So, I have some suggestions if anyone thinks this is relevant and maybe feels like updating Phasing.
Suggestion 1: Make Phasing immune to attacks from secondaries, not Primes.
Suggestion 2: Phasing does not make you immune from damage. (Lower OM price?)
Suggestion 3: Phasing makes you immune attacks, energy based or not. (Raise OM cost?)

Luci sits at a brightly lit desk in a dilapidated Hufflepunk safe-house in Teir-5, holding a fine-tipped pen with glowing ink and a magnifying glass. She is looking through the magnifying glass at a fake ID she is making, alternating her gaze between the ID and a head-shot of Vanessa Harmon, a severe looking Imperial bureaucrat. Satisfied, she stands up, bringing the head-shot and a few other pictures over to the only other piece of furniture in the room, a floor-length mirror.
Luci stares intently at the picture, focusing on the woman's high, narrow eyebrows. She looks in the mirror, and sees the serious-looking eyebrows glaring back at her.
Luci takes a deep breath and watches her facial features warp in the mirror. Her glowing golden eyes are replaced with peircing grey ones, her softly rounded rounded cheek bones getting sharper and raising higher, her chin loosing it's roundness and pointing down. Vanessa is all harsh angles and thin lips, so Luci tightens her soft features and scowls into the mirror.
She shuffles her pictures around, staring at a full body picture taken as Vanessa was exiting a cab. Luci concentrates, and feels herself grow taller and thinner, completing the change into a thin, mature woman with dark hair and a hostile face dressed in a black pinstriped suit skirt.
"Hey Lieutenant Perky hope you're decent oh fuck!" says the red-headed leader of the Hufflepunks as she again demonstrates her limited understanding of personal boundaries by bursting into Luci's room. The witch gawks as she circles Luci, who rubs her arm uncomfortably. The Hufflepunk grins.
"We're going to run this city."
