Too afraid to make your own topic? No question is too small or inane!*
For an official staff answer or bigger questions, make your own topic. In a perfect world, you should use this thread to ask a simple question that can be answered in one post without the need for 2, 3, 4+ replies. In that case, please make another thread with a [Question]
Anyone can answer these, just remember that staff responses supersede normal member.
Also, can we keep Non-Staff member replies to a maximum of two or three sentences? If you need more information, or you just wanna discuss something, then just create a Discussion thread or [Question] thread in the Help Desk for it.
There's no point in clogging the Quick Questions thread with long winded replies and discussions that could easily be in another thread. It makes it harder for members (new and old) to search for the answers they need.
*Note - Before asking your questions try searching through the rules and this forum for the response. A lot of non-overly specific questions have been asked multiple times in the sites history and can easily be answered with a quick search, either using this forum's search bar or google "Omniverse" + [Query].

Note: Moves submitted must have been APPROVED by a staff member.
A unique move could be a move that utilizes a certain Power or Proficiency, maybe multiple kinds. This isn't a gun or a bow and arrow, it's something truly different. Like something that uses Healing, Disassemble, Phasing, etc.
If you have such a move and would be willing to let it be featured in the Move rules to help future users in the approval process, please post it below.

Do you feel as if you are struggling to write at the level of others on the site? Well, I'm willing to give you some pointers. While I might not be the best writer, writing is my passion and I would be delighted to help the storytellers of our times develop their craft.
I will try to provide advice to the best of my ability, but please be aware that this isn't a review service. I am not going to read through all of your threads and pick apart every little thing, nor am I going to comment on the development of storylines. I'm going to comment on structure. Punctuation. Spacing. Dialogue. Repetition of material. Technical aspects of your writing that, when mastered, will greatly improve the quality of your work.
Below is a form for you to fill out. You will notice that there are questions about your favorite book, author and music. This is meant to provide advice personally tailored to you. PM this form to me when it is filled out, please.
Code: What is your most recent post (at the time of sending this PM)?
What do you find most difficult to write? Fight scenes? Emotions? Dialogue? Something else?
Do you read poetry? Do you have a favorite poem?
What is the easiest part of writing for you?
Do you have difficulty reading or understanding what you read?
Is English not your first language?
Who is your favorite author?
What is your favorite book?
What is your favorite song?
Are you currently attending some kind of school?
Is it a struggle to remain focused on your writing?
What device do you post from? Mobile, desktop, something else?
Do you have trouble describing actions?
Do you have difficulty describing your character's thoughts?
Do you often spell words incorrectly or misread sentences?
How often do you write?
Do you have much time to write?
Do you keep a journal? How often do you write in it?
What is your favorite video game?
Do you have regular internet access (at least weekly)?

Just spitballing some ideas to the staff teams way: i know everyone is very busy on the staff team but would it not be nice to have a word counter for your posts so everyone else can see how many words you've written? One that shows even after you post. This would make tracking quests a little easier in groups and eliminate the need of quote trackers. Also it would make it easier for the potential judges to sum up the word count of a thread. Just an idea to maybe look into for leisure.

Hello Omniverse Team,
Hope this message finds you all well. I've been reviewing your site and am definitely interested in joining again. Glad to see it still up an running. (Was a member when the site first launched). One concern however, why does this site take so long to load up now? Internet speed has been troubleshot and tested. Games play without lag, VOiP calls are clear and other sites load without delay. Only this site appears to be affected unfortunately.
Is there some setting that needs to be adjusted on my end? Is this an intentional feature designed to weed out potential spammers or something? Or, are there just too many requests being processed at once? Please advise.

Baldur grunted in annoyance for the hundredth time. Brooke had promised the Goron exciting adventures in lands with beautiful oceans and forests, or within great cities of old and new technology. Yet, somehow he now found himself standing in a place that was even more destitute than the lava filled wasteland he had once called home. He had traded blackened, ash covered skies for a gloomy and seemingly eternally cloudy sky. Dragons were merely replaced by decayed and ravenous humans, with the occasional other species mixed in. Even more, sometimes there were monsters that he was not nearly creative enough to dream up in even his wildest nightmares.
Brooke was getting tired of Baldur’s passive aggressive grunting. She had already explained that they didn’t pick where their jobs would take them. After all, that’s how the mercenary ended up in the Ashen Steppes and recruited the increasingly cheery Goron in the first place. She dismissed his murmurs, and continued with her work.
They were in a small clearing near a river that would allow ample opportunity to see an attack coming from any direction, theoretically. They had been ambushed by creatures rising from the ground before, after all. While Baldur scanned the area for threats, Brooke was huddled over a small fire and stove, boiling a pot of noodles. Baldur didn’t like eating anything other than rocks, but his fears that even the rocks were diseased in this cursed plane of reality overrode his typical appetite, so he was willing to settle for something a little more exotic to him.
Brooke brushed her blonde locks behind her ears as she stirred the pot, and adjusted her hat so that it would help hold her hair from her face. This trek was exhausting, and they hadn’t even begun their assignment. They had been traveling through this disgusting verse for days now, searching for an abandoned village. A mage from Dalaran had contracted the bounty hunter and her new Goron partner to recover an item of great value from one of the buildings in the deserted town. All she had was a loosely drawn map and a rough description of the object. Baldur had not been interested in the details, so she didn’t bother forcing them on him. The trek to the deserted town alone was explanation enough as to why hiring outside help for this recovery was needed, so the massive Goron was content. Somewhat.
“This is the worst,” Baldur decided to vocalize the obvious, and it was Brooke’s turn to groan in frustration.
“I know, Baldur,” the girl calmly replied, though she was clearly at the limits of her patience.
She’d traveled the Omniverse quite a bit, but never had she wandered this far into the Pale Moors. In fact, she actively avoided this verse due to the horrors that inhabited it, and the fact that there was absolutely no safety net. If you got in trouble in the Moors, the only thing coming to get you was more trouble. It remained to be seen if she had grown too overconfident were her new Goron friend in tow.
“Food’s up,” Brooke announced to her Goron compatriot. One crisis at a time.
Baldur stomped his way over to his human companion. The clinking of his metallic leg guards could be heard for quite a way through the open terrain, but he’d given up on trying to keep quiet. The terrors of this realm were coming for them, regardless of how stealthy they tried to be. He sat across the fire, and tentatively accepted the bowl she handed him. It was tiny in his massive palms.
Brooke sat back and began to work on her own lunch. Baldur was slightly hesitant, but one thing that would not go unanswered was his own hunger. He tentatively slurped up a bit of the noodles, the Brooke’s personal amusement. Baldur frowned, but pressed onwards. It was no slab of limestone, but it was nourishment, and that was a lot to ask of the Pale Moors.
“We should be in the town by the evening,” Brooke announced, now that the situation had been lightened just a little bit. Besides, they still barely knew each other. A little small talk couldn't hurt.
“Great,” Baldur laughed, admittedly not at Brooke, but at their luck in general. “Just in time for dusk in this hellscape.”
Brooke chuckled at his fear. She didn't have the same hesitance, having heard tales of worse places than this or the Steppes within the Omniverse. The way she understood it, though, you had to really piss someone off to end up there. Baldur didn’t know it, yet, but she had a definitive way of preventing herself from making enemies. It was a discussion for another time.
For now, she could only laugh and offer a weak toast with her bowl of noodles. After all, he was right. She just prayed for a quick and easy mission. Yet, somehow, she had a feeling wouldn’t be that simple.

Mewtwo and Matrix emerged from the dirt trail and into the small settlement of Cinnabar side by side. Matrix’s one natural and one cybernetic eye scanned the immediate area for information, while Mewtwo remained stationary and peaceful. Matrix wasn’t fooled, however. He knew the Pokemon was utilizing his telepathic abilities to scour the area with a matching urgency.
“Anything?” Matrix abruptly asked. He really didn’t have the patience for Mewtwo’s naturally mysterious nature, at the moment.
“No,” Mewtwo admitted. This setback did not stall him in the least. He merely proceeded to the next thing he could have an impact on. “I’m going to speak with the Imperials.”
Matrix’s eyebrow on his one good eye perked up. “And what about Sabrina?”
“Disregard her,” Mewtwo waved a dismissive hand, having had time to ponder the situation now that his misdirected rage towards Matrix had settled. “She left with them. The most she can ask for, now, is to be but a cog in their system.”
“Then what do I need to do?” Matrix scoffed in annoyance. He wasn’t going to be sidelined while Mewtwo dealt with the rowdy ambassadors. That wasn’t his style, and Mewtwo wouldn’t make it so.
“There was another,” Mewtwo said, to his surprise. “Find out what he was here for. I’m sure he’ll be at the center of whatever that blast we heard was about.”
A proper manhunt? Finally, something that utilized his abilities properly. Matrix felt a tiny bit of control over his own destiny in this horrid realm at long last.
“Good enough,” Matrix nodded, and Mewtwo noted the satisfaction in his tone. “Regroup with what we have later.”
“Good luck, and be careful,” Mewtwo responded. “I fear dark forces have infiltrated Cinnabar.”
Matrix departed without another word, and Mewtwo continued in his own direction. It didn’t take long for Matrix to find a large crowd of disturbed and vocal Pokemon. The monsters either were not used to such public acts of terror, or thought they’d long since left such things behind. Matrix forced his way through the growing crowd with no hesitation, disregarding the ramblings of the various Pokemon that comprised the confused mob.
As he made his way through the mob, he fell in awe of what he saw. In the middle of the street was a crater, obviously the result of no small explosion. Something quite terrible had to have caused such a horrific blast, and yet the main culprit sat in a smoldering heap at the center of the same basin. Matrix didn’t find this comforting, because it only added to the mystery. What could bring down such a creature, and so boldly in such a public place?
To his small relief, near the charred and deformed corpse was a blue Yoshi, Syril. This being was a close ally of his, and certainly a welcome sight amidst the panic that was gripping this island in the aftermath of chaos. Indeed, he couldn’t surpress a grin from forming on his face as he approached his old friend.
“Syril,” Matrix greeted to Yoshi.
“Matrix,” the blue creature responded to the sprite in kind. “As much as I enjoy your company, I never seem to enjoy the circumstances.”
“Likewise,” Matrix agreed, before getting to business. “What happened here?”
“This is an Imperial bio-weapon,” Syril answered as he looked over the charred corpse of the monster, frowning in disdain.
“A bio-weapon?” Matrix repeated, with more than enough confusion evident.
“The Empire has a scientist that specializes in taking a little and getting…” Syril hesitated, before gesturing to the blackened corpse. “…a lot. Certainly someone most residents of this island are hiding from.”
“I see,” Matrix agreed with a slow nod. “The ambassadors brought it?”
“Probably,” Syril scoffed. “No telling what lows the Imperials will sink to once we let them on the island. I wish we’d been here to speak against such an arrangement.”
“I talked to Mewtwo,” Matrix said, keeping his eyes on the dead monstrosity. “I don’t think the Imperials will be an issue for much longer. I’m more worried about what this thing was doing.”
“We don't know for sure, but word is a fight broke out nearby,” Syril answered, crossing his stubby arms. “We apprehended the Imperial involved.”
“Of course,” Matrix almost had to laugh. How ridiculously transparent.
“But the one he was tracking is gone,” Syril responded. “There’s a Camelot astronomer on the island, but he got spooked by the same man. Didn’t get much out of him. He’s certainly a mystery.”
“Spooked? Why?” Matrix frowned in confusion. This was getting stranger and stranger.
“Apparently the astronomer is searching for some relic that’s important to Camelot,” Syril recollected. “But, he already met with two primes searching for it prior to this mystery man. Caira and… Zack, I believe were their names.”
“Zack?” Matrix asked with a cocked eyebrow. Odd name.
Syril shook his head. “Either way, he’s gone, now. I don’t know what we can do.”
“I’ll look around,” Matrix decided. “I want to get to the bottom of this so we can make sure it won’t happen again. We’re already in deep with the Liberation Front, we can’t afford to be dealing with the Empire and a bunch of vagabonds as well.”
“Fine,” Syril reluctantly agreed. “Where do you need me, then?”
“Here,” Matrix confessed. Syril was a proven skillset he was more than happy to have alongside him, but Mewtwo could only be in one place at a time, and Cinnabar was vulnerable.
“Alright,” Syril offered no resistance. He was a better team player than most. “I’ll check in with Mewtwo after we figure this out.”
“And I’ll search for this…” Matrix paused, unsure who exactly he was looking for.
Syril shook his head and shrugged.
“All we know is that he was called ‘The Sage.’”

"Two months ago, he got busted with Glarg picking up on Star Street and Hk!gk Ave. That was right around the time your boy, what's his name, Qor, says he caught that Ninja Turtle bounty. But here, it says the Empire saw Raphael two weeks ago in Teir-6. Your boy is fucking lying!"
The casually dressed Klingon known as Kyrg glares at the report. "This is preposterous. Are you implying a Mighty Westside Klingon would ever dare-"
"To sell out his neighborhood for a hundred OM to some tusk-fuckers?" interrupts the elf sharply. "And what if I am?"
In a run down house on Hk!gk Avenue an orc in a black track suit is stepping out of a beaten Volvo. He has a sort of easy swagger about him, seeming to sway along with his gold neck chain. He pushes open a waist-high chain link fence and walks up to the door, knock twice, then three times.
A shirtless Klingon with dilated pupils opens the door, looks around suspiciously, then quickly ushers the orc inside.
"Glarg!" says the Klingon in surprise. "Oh fuck man, I can't believe they let you out," he says, his deep voice slurring every word.
The orc grunts and takes a seat on his couch. "Yes," he replies in a heavy orc accent. "Jorag took fall, is good orc. Will be fine. You are having something for me, Qor?"
Glarg slips a couple of glowing dollar bills form his pocket.
"Oh yeah," says Qor as he looks around his house in a hurry. "Yeah yeah, yeah, uh, here man," he says as he walks over to a desk, reaches into a drawer, and starts rummaging around. "Kalaxian crystals right? I know I got a bag here somewhere, great stuff man."
Behind the Klingon's back, Glarg's body melts away into paint fumes.
Luci sits on the couch calmly as Qor continues his commentary.
"It's here somewhere! It's great stuff, I got it from a Hutt in T-4," he continues. "But you gotta save me just one, it's been-"
"I've heard enough," interrupts an even deeper voice.
Qor turns, startled, to see a hulking Klingon in full battle armor walk into his living room. Qor freezes as Koloth, president of the Mighty Westside Klingons, advances on him, bat'leth in hand.
Qor's eyes flicker to the couch, where Luci is staring at him coldly.

(01-15-2017, 08:05 PM)Luci Wrote: A petite blue-haired crust-punk named Dick-Face points excitedly to another report. "Oh Scab, look at this! That Wookie with the nose ring, Ereeewel, got caught on Isengard Lane with 200 OM worth of Plutonic Quarks! You know what that means?"
The bald wizard nods. "It means old Feezo is cooking up some you-know-what. We should pay her a visit..."
The night is young.
Luci sits in a car on Isengard Avenue, sharing hits of nitrous oxide with a pair of Hufflepunks, mocking Klingons.
A blue-haired teenage witch unfortunately named Dick-Face huffs a black balloon, and says in a deep voice "How dare you! A Mighty Westside Klingon would never experiment with illegal substances!"
Dick-Face's boyfriend, a bald-headed wizard by the name of Scab, inhales a baloon himself and says "I have conservative social values that I like to fortify by kicking the shit out of people!"
The trio roars with laughter.
Luci keeps an eye on a small corner apartment on the ground floor of a complex. A light is flicked off. The trio stop laughing, and exit the car without speaking. Luci mutes the swirling colors that are her body and transforms into a forgettable blonde teenager.
They stay low and keep their backs against the wall of the apartment complex, Luci in the lead. She holds up a hand, and they stop.
Luci pulls out a spraycan and paints a glowing green door on the wall, then opens it. They creep through, trying not to giggle.
"Lumos," whisper Scab, and a dim light appears, illuminating the grungy kitchen. Dick-Face quietly unscrews a pipe from underneath the sink, finding three tightly-wrapped small purple bricks. She flashes a smile up at Luci and Scab, her grinning face illuminated by the wand. Luci's stomach drops as she sees a bulbous figure approach.
She flinches as Dick-Face's face is split open and covers Luci in blood and little chunks of skull and brain.
Scab roars "Expelliarmus!" and a bolt of green light bolts from his wand at the shooter, breifly lighting up the startled face of Feezo the Hutt. Feezo's gun, a Glock G19, sails through air towards Scab's hand. Luci, however, is very fast.
She catches the gun and brings in front of her body. She takes a breath, aims, and fires a shot that lands between the Hutt's eyes.
Feezo seems to wobble. Luci steps forward, and fires another shot, this time drawing blood.
The Hutt groans, and Luci empties the clip, one bullet at a time, into Feezo's head.
She turns to see Scab sobbing and cradling Dick-Face's body. She pulls him up, ignoring his protests. She makes calm shushing sounds and runs her spray can all over his body, wiping away any traces of blood. She walks him out the back through the graffiti-door and into the car, then goes back inside. Scab sniffles as he watches Luci disappear inside the house, wondering what she is doing.
His heart breaks again when she comes out with a tightly rolled rug.
Luci erases the door, throws the rug in the trunk, and drives off.
She guides the car through the streets of Teir-5 for some time, listening to Scab cry quietly next to her. Finally, she can not take it any longer, and shoves three tightly-wrapped purple brick into his hands.
"Here," she says woodenly. "She died for those," Luci adds.
Scab stares at the drugs silently.
When Luci drops him off, Scab leaves his jacket as the drugs. She stares at the jacket for a moment, watching the peirced badger that represents the Westside Hufflepunks gnash it's teeth.
Luci starts the car. She has a dead body in the trunk and a bounty hunter to meet.
The night is young.
