HI!
So, it's no secret that I tend to utterly dominate any fight I'm in, whether it be a mock battle or an actual IC exchange? Why you ask?
Well, part of it is due in credit to my highly refined mastery of the written word, but the OTHER part of it is due to having an utterly unstoppable moveset. Seriously, have you seen my moves? Have you seen them in action? Do some research, then come back and kneel before Zodd me. :nealaphh:
All jankshittery aside, I do feel qualified to help people round out their rosters with moves that will help their overall performance in any Prime fight they find themselves in. If you want my advice, just say so, and give me a brief overview of what sort of direction you're trying to take your character, mechanics-wise.
If you're too much of a wuss bag to subject yourself to my divine scrutiny, here's your TL R take away:
Fill your roster with more Moves than Attacks. Two or three ways to deal reliable damage is good, but the rest should serve to give you a tactical edge.

Six Days Ago:
It was a long, tiresome walk back to the farm they left Appa at. By the time Aang and Lysandra made it, he was feeling ill. Though his wounds were bandaged, the bolts had done their damage, he had lost quite a bit of blood. As his soft soled shoes crunched along the gravel path, dawn had just broke and already the farmer Rowan was sitting on the porch.
The look on the man’s face was pleasant, until he noticed the red splotches upon the Avatar’s bandages. “ Emily! Emily, get out here!” His voice thundered in Aang’s ears, his head pounding away. It was hard to believe he could have that much blood rushing through his ears with how much he had left behind. The farmer ran out to greet him and Lysandra, but only briefly before he was taking Aang’s arm over his own shoulder to brace the man.
Emily almost burst through the door, but the moment she saw Aang’s bloodied bandages, she vanished back into the house. By the time the farmer, Lysandra and the Avatar made it to the door, she was setting up hot water, rags and fresh bandages next to the couch. Aang even noticed she had draped a fresh sheet across it, to keep it clean. It would seem injuries were common place here.
“Alright now, just relax an’ try not to squirm… My wife’s no Dalaran healer, but she’s perty good with a needle and thread.” The farmer chuckled as he laid Aang on the couch, trying to lighten the monk’s spirits. He even showed a mark across the back of his wrist, reaching almost up to his elbow. “Horse bucked while I was cut’n a long strap off a fresh saddle. Damn near took m’arm off.”
“Sounds like it hurt…”
“Tch… Whined like a baby, he did… Wasn’t much deeper than a hair, didn’t even need stitches, but he kept groanin’ that he’d bleed out if I didn’t, then cursed the day I was born when I did!” Emily swats her husband lightly before taking a rag and dipping it in hot water. “Go get yer stash, dear. It’ll help stave off infection.”
The man laughed as he turned on his heels. “Infection and a bit of th’ pain.”
“Miss, if you like, there is extra breakfast in the kitchen. We’ll have our friend here join you in just a moment.” Lysandra had been almost leaning over the woman’s shoulder to watch her work. Even Aang was a bit unsettled by the woman’s hovering. Pursed lips, Lysandra silently nodded and exeunt the room. “Looks like she’s carryin’ a few extra burd’ns, if ya know what I mean…”
Aang tries to look over the back of the couch, but Emily quickly stops the monk’s twisting about. “She doesn’t look any bigger… She’s probably lost weight with all the walking, she mentioned how active she’s been lately…” Emily gave the oblivious man a look before shaking her head. She would let him figure out in his own time.
Rowan returned, carrying a rather large jar of clear liquid. It looked almost like water, but with the cap off he could almost smell the sharpness of it. “’Ere ya go lad, take a swig, it’ll ‘elp the stitch’n go by.”
To Emily’s disapproval, Rowan handed the jar to Aang first. At just a sniff he could tell this was some pretty stout alcohol. “Uh… no thanks… I don’t drink.” Emily quickly accepted the jar, giving her husband a look. She clearly suspected as much of the monk. Rowan only shrugged. “It’s fine, really, I’ve had to deal with more than a few injuries before. I’m sure I can take it.”
That did not stop the farmer’s wife from handing the Avatar a wrapped up rag to bite down on. Her instructions were just that, before she started cleaning the wound with the alcohol. His arm was on fire. It was not literally on fire, but this hurt more than any fireball he had ever taken – and that was quite a few. It hurt so much he tilted his head back and roared a mighty flume and rattled the house with earth tremors.
“WAIT! I changed my mind!” She had only cleaned one of the holes in his leg before the Monk was ready to toss a few drinks back. Again Emily was bothered as she handed Aang the jaw. He sat up against her best wishes and tilted the jar back. One swig and he was hacking up a lung. How can people DRINK this? Two swigs and his eyes watered. Is this even safe?! Three swigs and he was done. It was worse than breathing fire, because every breath IN burned more than every breath out.
Mal did took the jar back and continued pouring a little more than a few drops on each wound. He did not hear sizzling, but he was positive that the flesh was igniting on contact. The pain washed over his body like an all-encompassing lightning bolt. The fight against Ozai did not burn this much. Then again, maybe this was just a blood-deprived brain and exhaustion talking?
The thought of exhaustion was only on his mind as the world started moving away from him. A fire burned in his belly and in his nostrils, but his flesh felt cold. An unwilling and fitful sleep eventually claimed him.

This is a topic where those who are interested would post pictures of what the Keyblade their character could wield might look like, and where I might perhaps have Repliku meet them IC later, to help them get their hands on it if they wanted. Anyone interested?

Character source: 1st Gen Pokemon games
Character history:
Red is a teen from Pallet Town. The local Pokémon expert, Professor Oak, stops him from leaving town one day, saying that he needs a Pokémon for his protection. Upon doing this, Oak takes him to his lab and allows Red to choose one of three starter Pokémon, along with his grandson and his rival Blue.
Since then, Red traveled the Kanto region, kicking ass and enslaving Pokemon.
Then he was abducted.

When Red orders his (assist) pokemon to use a melee move--scratch, slash, cut, etc--to swipe their claws (or nails, or scythes) at the opponent. If Red isn't using a pokemon (assist), he aims a pokeball at his opponent, and then unleashes a charging pokemon that does the attack for him. When utilizing the latter of the two scenarios, the pokémon immediately returns to his pokeball after attempting the attack.

Welp, the day has come. Sirius was great in theory but unfortunately I could never see his chains being broken by me. My heart just isn’t in it.
Freeza is going to be perhaps the hardest character I will come to play, but I want to TRY to narrate his rise of power in the OV. Wish me luck! Also I’m open to suggestions as long as they come off nice.
Character name: Freeza/Frieza
YEAH Spelling is fun. DP assures me this is the accurate way, though when I was little and first introduced to the character I spelt it like “Frieza.” I want to be accurate and both technically are (?). This one is harder to misspell.
Character source BZ Series
Character history: I decided to go with classic Freeza because I'm not really familiar with ALL the other avenues he's been included in.
(Real quick summary)
Freeza is a tyrant and a traveling "salesman." An iconic shark in the business of planets, you see, his purpose is conquest and amusement, which he takes in death and destruction. The overseeing of the galaxy's planets kind of runs in the family. His father is King Cold and his brother, Cooler, also have a commanding rule, known and feared by worlds and civilization. Freeza's favorite legion were the Saiyans which he later destroyed the planet for their retaliation and fear of the Legendary Super Saiyan. As fate would have it, this may have caused him to eventually have been slain by one.
Along his travels and rule, he has attracted forces to his own power such as the Ginyu Force, employed Saiyans like Raditz and Vegeta, as well as man other alien races all adding to his intergalactic army. Before his reach extended onto Earth, business was booming, he was seen as the most powerful warrior in the universe, and it all came so natural to him. That all changed when Goku sought to bring an end to his reign when Earth was threatened.
Freeza is no stranger to the weakling races he has encountered wishing to revolt and rebel against his tyranny and so in the battle of Namek where he faced Vegeta, Gohan, Krillin, and some other nameless inhabitant of the planet, it never occurred to him or his outrageous ego that he could ever lose.
Fulfilling his destiny, he fell to the legendary Super Saiyan which he'd denied as a myth the moment he'd been warned of the tales. A fitting demise. The next thing the mutant alien knew was he was staring at a faceless mug, some guy telling him how he could again, rule what Goku had stolen from him.
Physical Description: Shortaf but this isn’t even my final form.

Main Thread Here
Google Doc for collaborating (work in progress)
Hello. Once upon a time, I wrote a lot of Battle Royale-related fiction on many websites, not the least of which was Dante's Abyss. I liked it. I miss it. A lot. But I also recognize that Alex has a pretty good handle on the competitive genre here, so in order to satiate my urges, I've decided that I'm gonna do a narrative story instead. It will probably take a very long time, but I am excited by the creative opportunities here. I made this thread here so anyone can comment or join in if they want.
How it works IC:
-The game runs just like the popular BR game PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battleground. The name is designed to be just as dumb. I think I succeeded.
-All characters are volunteers, whether they signed up on their own or are playing to settle a crime or debt.
-The players jump out of a plane in the beginning and land somewhere on a big empty island. There are towns (big and small), farms, shacks along the roads, etc etc.
-Buildings contain weapons and items of varying degrees of usefulness. The better stuff will be in areas where they are more buildings, but the risk is that more people will go there.
-Over time, a circle will appear on the map and everyone must be inside the circle to continue playing. As time goes on, the play area will continue to shrink more and more until it is only big enough for a few people.
-Players have a watch which tells them where they are on the map, how many players are left, and how much time before the play area shrinks.
-Some characters have joined together, so could have prior relationships.
How you can participate:
-Read and/or comment
-Give story ideas, predictions, suggestions, etc.
-Submit characters for me to take and write gruesome action scenes with. Feel free to be as vague or specific as you want. Characters have to be original secondaries.
-Coordinate with me to actually write, whether it be a one-off scene or just joining in to write as often as you like.
Character submission template (optional usage):
Quote:Name:
Appearance:
Personality:
Combat Style:
Background:
Approach to Game:
Again, you can be as vague or detailed as you want. Combat style would be any powers, abilities or profiencies they have. Background would be anything important in their history and/or what led them to the game. Approach to Game would be how they are playing this particular game (ex. hiding out, hunting others, using alliances, etc etc). Feel free to make multiple characters if you want.
This thread is mainly for coordination if anyone wants to just write or submit areas. I'll be tracking all the participants, locations, items etc etc as I come up with them. Hope you enjoy, either way. I definitely am so far.

Thinking about getting a 2nd or 3rd character? Maybe switching ? Maybe you want to join SSII but you're between two characters who are polar opposites and wonder if they could survive the trip or would be fun to write as for long term?
Welcome to character practice!
Write a "mock post" of the character you are considering (please state who above in quotes or make it clear). You can ask someone to give you a scenario hopefully relevant to the character, or just post your post. Maybe you recruit one of your friends (who knows the canon) to read it for you after and link them here!
Disclaimer: this isn't meant to be a feedback thread but in my mind it can help people be more certain about their long term choice if they practice publicly. If you give feedback be nice and helpful, remember the writer likely wants to know if the character will work for them long term.
Please be nice, and not throw tomatoes.
I'll be posting here as Freeza shortly.
NVM I just did it.

I had an idea for a storyline. Basically, it's the Omniverse's premier online shopping service, guaranteed to deliver your items on time. So, hypothetically, everyone in the thread would create a secondary Omnizon employee, and they'd go on adventures delivering things. Anyone interested?

When he arrived in Camelot, the scent of fresh air assaulted Repliku’s nose. The air smelled purer and cleaner than any that he had ever inhaled before, making him stop near the gate and simply take a moment to breathe in. As he looked around the place and scanned the horizon he could see a floating island. What was the name of the island that he was seeing? It appeared to be immense, and Repliku knew he’d have to get up there somehow. How though? His attempt to make anything out of Omnilium thus far had been a complete and absolute failure. Worry shot through him like a needle would sew thread, as Repliku was now concerned. The island looked like it was heavily fortified and would be an ideal place to build a home on, because unless there were flying Heartless, he'd have nothing to worry about from them. In addition, he felt like he was an ant as he looked at the island. Given he couldn't summon anything that could allow him to fly, Repliku knew if someone or a Heartless were to attack him from that island, he was most certainly going to be dead. The looks of the countryside were beautiful, and Repliku made a resolution in his heart. When he had the time he was definitely going to build himself a home here.
If he couldn’t master the skill of summoning things using Omnilium, was he even going to be able to hold his own against the presence of Heartless? Why couldn't he use Omnilium right? Was something wrong with him? Or was it the environment he was in? Fear was an emotion the clone had never felt, but now was feeling in spades as he began to walk from the gate of Camelot further inwards. Black creatures swarmed around him in a group of fifteen, Repliku recognized them. These were "Shadows" which were the weakest form of Heartless. Scowling at the presence of them, Repliku knew he'd have to fight them off before he could continue on his journey.
The fact they'd found him this soon though? It was worrying because he was nowhere near ready to engage them in combat. His power level was that of a beginner, and Repliku knew that if any more powerful Heartless showed up he was screwed. As he slashed one of the Heartless with a brutal scowl on his face, Repliku noticed something odd. The heart didn't release. Hearts were supposed to release...unless he wasn't actually wielding a Keyblade. A Keyblade was the one weapon that could smite the Heartless permanently. Thinking back, Repliku began to remember something. His weapon wasn't a key. It was an intermediary to the Keyblade but was not the actual thing. A quick spin decapitated a couple of the Heartless, mere Shadows that had tried to ambush him from behind.
Damn it. It was times like these that he wished he were more like his template, Riku. After all, Riku could summon the power of the Keyblade and make short work of the Heartless. Repliku, however, was incapable of doing that, at present. After about an hour of battling the Heartless, Repliku had managed to turn the tables and win against them. Panting, to catch his breath Repliku made up his mind.
"There's no sugarcoating it. I need to get stronger as more Heartless will definitely be headed to attack me again."
