From one emptiness to another, Fink watches as the darkness melts away into a blank canvas.
Murky memories tickle its muddled mind while a cool spray ripples the feathers along its cloak.
The bird turns around to see itself perched on the lip of a bowl gushing a steady stream of water, the fluid so balanced and stable, in fact, that Fink's own reflection is clearly visible blinking back between faces.
Small slices of stone seem to simply float in space around the liquid column, swirling slowly around it in a conical vortex.

The fountain is vaguely mountain-shaped.

With this recognition the avian's eyes open wide, and all past memories and previous thoughts go right out the door as its cloak flies backwards, splitting apart into a furious flutter of whirling wings, sending the bird shooting to the very top of the structure.
Spiraling around several smaller columns that slip water under its wings, the bird rises upwards and grips the edge of the topmost stone, which, in its own turnings, is just about to be situated precisely at the peak.

The bird's wings fold around its body again, hands clinging to the smooth stone while it rotates in one continuous motion.
Feather-crest lowers as the bird appears to hunker down, almost seeming to glower downwards at the world below in a hunched, sulking way.
What with the world's whiteness, those eight strange structures on the horizon, and only one possible mountain in sight -- which, despite having already conquered, is not only infuriatingly small but is also made almost entirely out of water...well then, what's not to brood about?

Fink makes a quiet croak with an inwards breath, which barely manages to momentarily pull some of the spray towards it.
Glaring at an upside-down world (it's your fault for holding onto a rotating stone, you nerd), the hoopoe says softly to the void:
"My mountain.
Mine."

It was a simple dream, to fall in love. I had discovered it once, but it turned out that it wasn't something to discover. Love was a long distance run that didn't seem to have a finish line, but we ran anyway, keeping each other on track and at pace, countless hours and days spent running together, our fingers entwined like a string of vines that cling to a wall. Our hearts racing at the thought of discovering what lay beyond the orange horizon that was our sky. We ran, and it seemed like years, but it didn't matter, we were alive, and together, that was all that mattered. But we did not discover a happy ending, the road we were running split in two directions, left and right, and it was approaching fast. We both had to make a choice and in the end, no longer were our fingers entwined like vines, but they were separate, the distance between them grew vast as we continued running on our own paths. In the end… we both made a decision.

Fink is essentially a hoopoe with a humanoid stance and gait on land, and an avian appearance in the air and water; what the image above doesn't show are its two arms, which are easily concealed, and easy to mistake for normal bird legs whenever they are extended in flight (but, as is visible in the image, the bird's actual legs are also what appear to be its tail feathers during flight).

Gravity Gun is a ranged sound-based move that forces things in the direction of (inhalation) the user.
As it is produced by the hoopoe's voice, the move is highly dependant upon sound waves in order to work: anything blocking sound or muffling the hoopoe will have an immediate obvious effect on the affect; a louder call gives rise to higher power and a wider area of influence, while a quieter call does just the opposite.
Concerns that come with freqency and severity of use span breathlessness, voice loss, loss of consciousness, and other similar consequences.

Character history: I'm pulling out Prinny after the events of the first Prinny game, in which he retrieved the master desert for his master/boss, Etna.

Only having about a range of a foot, but they can be swung at very high speeds, and have a serrated blade. (300 om)

Air Slash: When Prinny uses this, he jumps into the air, and begins slashing as normal, however it creates blades of wind that fly at an angle towards his opponent. This move is extremely hard to aim, and he remains in the air as he uses this, he is unable to move while using this attack, but if he stops he will begin fall and he can use this time to turn and start attacking again. (300 om)

Explosive Death: To Prinny's great dismay, upon death, he will explode. This explosion is fairly small, and only 6 meters. He normally would also explode simply by being thrown, however, thanks to the scarf for fully given to him by Demon Lord Etna, he is able to survive being thrown, but will stay explode if he takes enough damage to die. (300 om)

So, my current plan is to continue on as-is until Nyeseth reveals that he's a Soul Reaper, because Neku would probably ignore "Soul" and just hear "Reaper". He's got some emotional baggage with those guys. Thoughts? I know Desco wants to play with Guu after this, and since she's feeling so downgraded at the moment it's likely that if a fight breaks out she'll leave. What about Rand? What would his reaction be if some kid started throwing lightning around and calling ice from the ground without using the One Power? Might be fun to have Rand think Neku's using the True Power, if he's had an encounter with that where he's from. I haven't read WoT in a while, can't remember if any of the Chosen used that before Moghedien took his hand.

Guu awoke to a strange feeling in her chest, her breathing erratic. She launched herself to her feet gripping her chest. The feeling slowly dissipated with every breath.

Then it slowly donned. The feeling she felt, she remembers it from when she read the minds of the humans back home. The feeling of pain. But why was she feeling it in her lungs…

Since when did she have lungs...

"I need to breath?" She said sounding bored and surprised at the same time.

She plunged her hand into her mouth and felt around. Sure enough, she had working lungs. But that's not all. She also felt the distinct rhythm of a heart beat. She quivers at the thought of having to live with that incessant drumming all the time.

But the shocking part is her stomach. It felt empty and much smaller than it was before, she had never had her stomach feel like this. It was very uncomfortable.

It was at this point that she noticed that she was sitting around in an empty dark void. She knew from experience that this wasn't good news.

She thought short and mild about how she got in this situation, but when the answers wouldn't pop into her head immediately, she started to panic.

So instead, she thought long and hard. She remembered saying good bye to Hare, sending him back home, erasing everybody's memory of her existence, and now she's depressed again.

Just as she was going to wind up in a spiral of self-deprecation, a human figure in bright white light appeared before Guu.

So I think this is kind of a touchy/behind the curtains subject, so I'll preface this with by stating I don't want any deep secrets or for everything to be exposed or anything like that. My question has more to do with quality vs. quantity.

Per post we gain OM, there's an awesome algorithm behind it that calculates all this stuff. My question is if you post some big ass post, does it net you a big lump sum reward? If you do 300 word posts, do you get less by then end of the whole thing? I.E. if I have something say, 1500 words, do I get a bigger total for posting it all or if I do 5 300 word posts totaling 1500 words, does it come out the same amount?

The only reason I'm asking is, like I said, Yoshimitsu is my competitive gaming character. I have a huge competitive streak and I can plan out a character and strategy like a boss and tear my way through people and that's exactly what I'm doing. Just planning out how I want to develop Yoshimitsu.
