Hah, imbeciles, thought you got one over on me eh? Though my brand new suit smells like feces, guh! Anyways, I'm back in business now. I bore witness to a climactic mashup of blades verses brawn, as today the tenacious Bisharp prevailed over the brutish Gurdurr in a test of might during the preliminary qualifying match! "The officially sanctioned competition is underway, and boy what a doozy it proved to be. The first matchup included a peculiar young lad by the name of Luffy, a human like myself if you can believe it, going head to head with the 'train-stopper' Hariyama. Persevering through prejudice and trepidation, the seafarer triumphed spectacularly by pulverizing his husky opponent with a single strike! According to fans, never before has Hariyama been thrown off his feet, yet Luffy jettisoned the brute all the way into the arena's barricade. Keep your eyes on Team Mugiwara, I have an inkling this won't be the last time they slump our jaws!"
"I was also able to swing a quick interview with the three guest commentators. Not one of them seemed too inclined to speak with me at first, but throwing in some Pokepuffs seemed to sweeten them up, pun intended! Booyah!"
—| Interview with Pikachu |—
So, Pikachu, who is your most favored team in the competition?
Pi! Team Mugiwara sure is causing some static, and they seem pretty interesting, but my vote still goes to the electrifying Greased Lightning squad.
—
If you weren't busy as an officiator of the festival, what would you be doing elsewhere?
Eating pecha berries, playing with Pichu, or just lounging around. It's better I stay active and energetic-kachu.
—
What impressions do you harbor of your fellow commenters?
Roserade is pretty and smells nice, but she's quiet. Can come off as a bit snobby, but that's just her 'resting bitch face,' 'cause she's actually very polite and proper-pika.
Machamp is a big, brawny lug-head, but he's actually sharper and more insightful than he looks, and works harder than anybody I've ever seen. Well deserving of his championship title.
—
It's no secret you covet an affectionate following. Anything you'd like to relay to your adoring fans?
Pika Pi!
—
—| Interview with Roserade |—
I bet the ladies are dying to know, just what is your secret to retaining such beauty and elegance?
Nothing special.
—
Hailing from the Royal Kingdom yourself, can you describe the luxurious majesty of the imperial dominion?
Nothing special.
—
Don't take this the wrong way, but you smell fantabulous! What sort of perfume do you wear?
Nothing special.
—
Being head instructor of the royal dancers tribe, how have you mastered such eloquent and magnificent choreography?
Practice.
—
—| Interview with Machamp |—
So tell us, how does the reigning champ stay in such impressive shape?
Heh, just a typical training regiment. 5,000 push-ups, 10,000 squats, 8,000 crunches, 40 mile jogging session, 1,000 boulder tosses, 3,000 Snorlax bench-presses, and 3 swimming laps around the island. After that warm-up I cook breakfast and prepare for mid-day training.
. . . right, typical regiment . . .
—
How do you think this contest will compare to last year?
If it's anythin' like the last festival, fans 'er in fer' a treat. They ain't just one on one battles on the reg. The Grand Fightin' Festival always tosses in some wild cards!
—
Any words of encouragement for aspiring contestants?
My motto is simple. 'Might is right!' If ya' don't have the power to demolish obstacles in yer' way, then gain the power!
—
And what of those who desire to meet you toe to toe in the arena?
Feh, bring it on!

There was a jungle clearing with lush, beautiful flowers all about with large bushes and tall trees surrounding it. The wind blew through the clearing moving the grass back and forth as a little boy all bundled up and wearing a big red hat cried. All alone in this clearing, he had fallen from the sky in a small bit of luck as his kidnappers that flew with little propellers on their heads were not far from their destination. However his brother was still taken away to the castle of an evil royal family of turtles.
Nearby, the sounds of the crying could be heard by a heard of dinosaurs. Intelligent and gifted with the ability to speak the word of man, the tribal dinosaurs got curious and worried at the continuous scream of the young child so they approached. One by one they appeared in the clearing around him, but it wasn't until one of them walked up to the boy that he stopped crying. The green dinosaur threw him onto his back and he giggled playfully. But this moment was quickly ended by the sudden dive bombing of the kidnappers that had dropped them. They attacked the green dinosaur and made a grab for the boy, but the tribe threw their spears while the green dinosaur grabbed one with his long sticky, frog-like tongue and spit him at another.
The battle was quickly over and most of the attackers escaped save for one stuck in the dinosaur's mouth. In exchange for his freedom the lackey told the dinosaurs why they had kidnapped the child and told them about his brother. They were ordered to do so by the one watching over the last child of the royal family. The dinosaur's decided this could not be allowed to continue, so they set off across the island to seek out and rescue the boy's brother.

"Hey Dood, what is that?" A Prinny interupted Desco's concentration as she was playing this platformer type game on her dataverse device on a website. She looked up and took a moment to register what he had said. "Desco found a video game online!" The group were traveling through the Nexus, unsure of where to go next. They had picked a door at random and walked on in this weird white void of a place. Since there was no scenery to really look at after five minutes of pondering the void, Desco had gone to her dataverse device for entertainment while the Prinnys conversed amongst themselves.

I think there was a thread for this before, though it kinda died out, it would appear, and this ones a littleeeee different, also. Basically, just list what characters you want to see RPed on here, along with the source material they're from, and if you'd like, maybe even a little paragraph about why.
Here's my list;
Eren Jaeger (Attack on Titan) - Having just started watching and getting into AoT, I'd say having an Eren around would be pretty cool. Lot of move potential with him, and they're all flashy and quite acrobatically-based. Just no idea where he'd go and what he'd do in an arc, though.
Alex Mercer (Prototype) - Ohhhhh man, I can't tell you how I close I was to choosing this guy for an alt character. There's a fuckton of powerful move potential for him, and he's a generally awesome example of an anti-hero/villain over all. Anyone else who played the Prototype games back on the PS3 would hear me out on that one.
Guts (Berserk) - Need I explain this in too much depth? Guts really is the pure epitome of badassery, rage and vengeance. I can see him cutting down a few packs of Stormtroopers whilst on his quest to, well... do whatever he does :3
Cervantes (Soul Calibur) - Another cool one. Him heading to the Vasty Deep and trying to conquer the seas as the self-proclaimed 'Pirate King' would make for a fun read.
Master Chief (Halo) - Another one that's sort of self-explanatory. He's the fuckin' chief. Plus there's so many other characters about that it'd be cool to see him interact with. Having a rap battle with Atelos, blasting up some bad guys with Samus (because the Samus x MC shippers demand it), having a gunfight with Doomguy. This character was another I was pretty close to picking as an alt, also.

The sticky tension in the air thickened as they breached the ground. Silence filled the empty void left from their departed friends as the trio landed on a streamline of ridged grass that rose above the nearby community. Conveniently enough, the pair of mercenaries could see far beyond the many shimmering rooftops adorned with vines that crawled up walls and grew toward the sun.
The Prime's silvery white skin became like a beckon in the dusk and of the three who had traveled on the wind, her skin -even while covered with black fabric- was the foreground of their alighting. Luminously polished eyes cast over to the ecstatic Casmeas, who was staring at his flashing blue orb and had gestured Caira and TBG to land at this exact spot. They were close. Sure the trio’s distinctly wizardly ways might have been seen from afar, and in the distance a few ant-sized people had sent a condemning glance up toward them, but the willful trespassers weren’t going to be chased out by a few plebeians glaring daggers at them.
The contempt was noted and somehow melded into an attribute of the upscale country scenery, which was an extreme change from the groveling living conditions not far below. Perhaps wizards weren’t welcome in this part of town yet Caira couldn’t help feeling this was about her. If their discriminating eyes could speak words, everyone she saw would be saying the same law: Your kind isn’t wanted here. The deathless girl was used to the extremely distinguished pallor of her skin and how it glowed as a spotlight in the sun however, there were moments when she didn’t want to be examined by trained eyes that sought to pick her mere existence apart. She knew it had given away their location yet felt as though a wizard standing half her size on her right, a mysterious technological phenomenon on her left, and their method of travel —a flying carpet— signed a very Dalaran arrival.
On the bluff, bristling green blades rippled with a gust of air. Caira parted her lips and drank in a breath, they were downwind. Let the hunt commence.
A determination within her sparked with an unquenchable flame, her eyes locked on a distant goal and her once upbeat and jovial persona she had displayed to Casmeas and Toybox Girl, now settled into a dangerously surfacing ferocity that undermined her foregoing alacrity. Brewing below Caira’s careful visage were storming shadows of destruction.
Another inhale and suddenly her lungs were full of a faintly drifting smoke. Alert as ever, the Prime twisted around seeking the distant source. Casmeas pointed his finger and they were all off, Caira followed the scent of the acrid air and TBG followed behind as her eyes appeared to be flashing with technological divinity; Caira assumed the robot was calculating the distance in comparison to a topography graphic from the Dataverse as they all followed their sources.
Caira came upon the ridge to see a mass of unrelenting flames that blazed ahead, she assumed that TBG and Casmeas were behind her as she took in the bristling claws of fire that encompassed the horizon. The ravenous hunger of the flickering inferno was beginning to ebb into the rubble of the mansion’s soft remains.
Her form dipped and she pressed a perceptive hand into the warmed earth. No sources of life could be felt however the country house was too big for her extension and the flames muddled her sight. Not to mention the tremendous probability of whatever person of impeccable status inhabited the home, could have become trapped and unconscious under the skeletal debris.
“Stand back!” she warned without looking over she shoulder and charged her hope within her hands. Despite how she knew the nil chance of a victim surviving this catastrophe, and how the same double story building had been reduced to a crumbling heap, she would set out to smother the enflamed fire that snared with the taunting wind. Yes, the odds to save any possible innocent in this disaster were very slim.
A cyclone reached into the sky and blew away the winds that chased the famished flames. Dominating the horizon, a grey vortex of looming wind was launched into the remains, hot flashing waves set ablaze to create a fire whirl that wheeled in the sky before suddenly dispersing with the choked oxygen feeding the flames.
The wind whisked the dissipating hot death away and of the burning home, only ashes remained.
“Doesn’t look like anyone was trapped inside after all, or else they would-” her neck swiveled swiftly over her shoulder and she realized she was talking to empty air. Casmeas and TBG must have disappeared as she was quenching the fire, but who was to say where they had gone? Perhaps they were vehemently on the trail of the very mage they were chasing, the same one that was likely to have caused the fire if they were in the right vicinity as Casmeas's skills had honed in on. The irregularity of this coincidence was too anomalous to be overlooked completely, yet as Caira trekked away from the heap of cinder, the girl couldn’t help but to feel as though there had been something of great importance left unsaid.

Everyone else has one... I figured I'd better jump on the bandwagon.
Not gonna go into HUGE detail, yet. Just a description of the Faction, it's goals, etc.
So, we're obviously a Faction for... the less altruistically minded. Whether your a villain or just someone who gravitates towards larger than life personalities, we might be a good fit for you. While we're not above doing the odd favor or two, or even helping folks out in need, we ALWAYS have an agenda behind it.
We're based in the Endless Dunes, hence the name, and are currently attempting to carve out a niche for ourselves there. Other than that, we basically do one of two things. Either we'll not interfere in the plans of other members, or we'll help them in exchange for their help in the future. Like I said, not for the altruistically inclined. We're more or less just held together by necessity, rather than any bonds of friendship. This, of course, may change as the game progresses. For now, we're more an alliance of like-minded individuals who, for the moment, are more intent on other enemies than each other.
Um... not sure what else to say, but if you're interested in joining up, drop me a line. We'll work out the details sometime.

They were back at the main compound for the Pokémon Liberation Front and hours removed from a skirmish with the Imperial Navy. It was times like this when Wartortle wanted little more than to relax and plan out their next maneuvers. He loved guerrilla warfare so very much. Nothing better than to harass your enemy to death and never let them sleep soundly.
Tonight, however, they had a public reading planned with some of the younger ones, and as much as he loved blood, Wartortle also had a soft spot for talking with the kiddies.
“All right,” Wartortle shouted to the room of young Pokémon. “Gather around on the ground in front of me, and I will read to you the story of how I rose to power!” The cheers of hatchlings filled the room as Wartortle was surrounded by a slew of tiny little bodies. The Turtle Pokémon smirked as he produced a thick, leather-bound tome from a nearby dresser. On the cover of the book, the words ‘Mein Kampf’ were penned in a dramatically eloquent fashion. It was a lovely story from a universe not their own, and he'd be damned if he still didn't enjoy reading it.
Turning to the first page, the azure reptile began to read the story aloud for his infantile subjects.
---
Chapter 1: Egression
Squirtle are born all the time, but every now and then, one of the tiny little hatchlings is born with a dream. No one, not even the self-proclaimed ‘Pokémon Masters,’ have managed to determine how or why this phenomenon occurs—its just does. As the mother Squirtle was tending to the more primitive hatchlings, one of the small, infantile turtles started to waddle away. He was only a few minutes old, and he was already well on his way to mastering the art of bipedal movement.
As the Tiny Turtle moved from the nest, he lifted up his head and grinned at the world he saw. In his heart, he knew that he was different from all the others. Never again would the world of man stereotype Pokémon as being weak. All those unevolved cretins were soon going to have to contend with the genetic superiority that was Squirtle. With the myriad thoughts of supremacy swirling about in his mind, the azure reptile made his way to the edge of a small stream.
The world was waiting out there, and it was about time that the amphibious animal embraced it head-on. Reaching one of his pudgy arms behind his back, the Pokémon quickly checked to ensure that his shell had hardened. Squirtle usually have their shells harden shortly after emerging from the egg, and this Tiny Turtle was no exception to that rule. After running his stout little digits down the course of his dense, brown carapace, the petite reptile dove into the water headfirst.
Leaving behind his rural, ponduck origins, Squirtle pulled his tiny legs and arms into the comfy, guarded recesses of his shell and grinned. For a moment or two, he swore he could see a few of his brothers and sisters gawking at him as he drifted away, but he quickly shook the thoughts from his mind. Those individuals were behind him now, and he was now one turtle against the world or more correctly—the universe.
After what seemed to be an hour or so, Squirtle finally noticed the first signs of an urban metropolis looming on the horizon. The Tiny Turtle pivoted his body, aimed toward the bottom of the creak, and fired a stream of water from his toothless maw. Although he was still in his infancy, the amphibious Pokémon had enough power to propel his diminutive body clear from the water. Squirtle withdrew his cranium into the safety of his shell moments before he crashed painlessly into a pile of raked leaves.
Snickering at how opportune he was, the newborn turtle popped his limbs out from the confines of his shell and surveyed his surroundings. He had landed in someone’s backyard in the suburbs outside of the large city he had seen on the horizon. It would still be another mile or so before he got to the urban zone, but Squirtle figured he should take the time to adapt to moving on land.
It was at that moment that the object caught the Pokémon’s attention. They were sunglasses—shaped like two triangles that had been placed on their sides and fused at their apexes. Undoubtedly misplaced accessories for a doll of some sorts, the ebony glasses were now the property of Squirtle. Waddling over to the discarded object, the cyan reptile picked them up in his fat fingers and placed them over his developing eyes. Despite lacking external ears and having a rather two-dimensional nose, the sunglasses fit perfectly upon the Tiny Turtle’s visage.
“Squirtle!” The small animal uttered, bopping his head in a display of how cool he knew he was. With his immature eyes now properly shielded from the harmful UV rays of the sun, the turtle threw his right hand up, his index and middle fingers extended to form a V. It was a symbol of victory—not just victory for Squirtle, but victory for all oppressed Pokémon everywhere. The times were about to change.
***
Squirtle fixed the sunglasses one more time and started toward the enormous structure. A day or so had passed since his birth, and already he was beginning to learn of the world around him. Formed from some type of strange, dull material, it stood as a symbol of human expansion and urbanization. The Tiny Turtle frowned at the building and wished he had the strength to tear it down with his bare hands. Unfortunately, he was barely half a foot tall, and the house stood as a bastion of humanity’s dominance over Earth. Soon Squirtle would be strong enough to plow through such a pitiful structure and make way for the planet to return to its true, primal roots.
The Pokémon spat a tiny squirt of water at the base of the abode and quickly rushed around it to avoid any retaliation from its villainous, human occupants. As the azure reptile clumsily ran away from the structure, he was startled by the sudden presence of a massive, red monster in front of him. Hitting the side of the beast, the turtle was knocked onto his carapace and temporarily dazed. Looking up at the sky, Squirtle saw one of them—a human. Her diminished size indicated that she was possibly an infantile version of her oppressive species.
Before the Tiny Turtle had an opportunity to react, the creature reached down with one of her massive, dirty hands and began to lift the Pokémon off the ground and away from freedom. Squirtle tried to squirm and attempted to scratch and bite at the monstrosity’s oppressive hand. Despite his efforts, his claws and teeth were far too underdeveloped to do damage to her battle hardened flesh. It only took a matter of seconds for the amphibious superstar to be successfully kidnapped and taken inside the confines of the cretin’s dwelling. Squirtle cried out as the door slammed shut.
The prisoner was thoroughly enraged at losing his new sunglasses, but he soon realized he was in real danger. Squirtle could now hear the human’s conversing with one another—probably reveling in how they had captured him. The blue-skinned reptile fidgeted, but he failed to escape the vice-like grip of the toddler. Even worse, the Tiny Turtle couldn’t understand what they were plotting. That feeling of helplessness truly vexed the amphibious superstar, who made a promise to himself to learn the language of the human’s if he ever escaped from this demonic citadel alive.
Unfortunately, the situation was about to take a turn from the horrid to the completely and utterly bleak. The small monster was on the move once more, but this time she stopped for a moment in front of what Squirtle identified as some type of flat surface for placing garments. With her free hand, the small human cleared a region and dropped some type of clear, topless object upon the white surface. Then the turtle was moving once more, and before he could protest, he had already been dropped into the tiny box.
That’s when the horrible realization emerged: This diminutive Homo sapiens intended to imprison Squirtle! The Tiny Turtle understood that he needed to react quickly or else he was never going to see the light of day again. Turning his head down toward the bottom of the prison, the Pokémon unleashed to small torrent of water. The pressure launched him out of the cell and up into the mound of clothes that child had shifted around.
Ignoring the squeak of surprise that escaped the lips of the toddler, Squirtle dove through the loose mounds of clothing and fought his way down until he could no longer hear the whimpers. After another moment or so, the azure turtle emerged from the pile of clothes near an open gateway to the outdoors. Feeling a new wave of glee rush over his miniscule frame, the Pokémon lunged at the exit, but instead of freedom, he was greeted with some type of barely visible barrier.
Falling backwards, Squirtle shot up his pudgy appendages, grasping an extended ledge that overlooked a long drop to the floor. Grunting, the amphibious superstar pulled himself up onto the outlook and glared at the crisscrossed ropes that prevented what could have been a flawless escape. The sounds of footsteps encroaching upon his current position indicated that Squirtle had to do or die. Bending at the knees, he lowered his head and rushed forward. An inch or so before the barrier, he jumped up and withdrew into his shell.
The inflexible wires caved when put up against the dense shell of Squirtle, and a moment later, the Tiny Turtle crashed into a soft bed composed of dirt and sticks. Looking around, the azure reptile quickly realized he had landed in the den of some type of oviparous animal. Evacuating the nest, the blue-skinned Pokémon slowly started his descent down the relatively small tree. When he finally reached the soft, lush grass once again, he fell to his knees and smiled. Before departing the yard of what could have been his jailors, he retrieved his sunglasses. Then he quickly fled to the relative safety of a nearby patch of trees.
Pushing his tinny noggin out through a rather light clump of soft leaves, Squirtle surveyed the path that lie ahead of him. He had only been in the patch of trees for a few minutes, and it seemed he had already reached some type of temporary break or termination in the forest. As far as he could see to the left and right, the ground was black, hot, and solid, with a vibrant sun-colored strip down the center. The trees continued on the other side of the stretch of manmade dirt.
The Tiny Turtle suddenly heard the most horrible, loud rumbling noise. Turning his small cranium, he was alarmed by the presence of two huge, glowing eyes rushing toward him. Letting out an infantile squeak, the Pokémon fled back to the relative safety of the brush. He would continue his trek some other way that didn’t intercede with the horrific machinations of Homo sapiens. With his head held low to the ground, Squirtle sprinted north, the same direction from which the shiny-eyed beast had originated from.
A sudden, bright object suddenly caught the attention of the charging reptilian. Stopping in his tracks, the amphibious superstar slowly approached the discarded object. It was a massive, red quadrilateral that was emblazoned with a hemisphere in the center. Squirtle waddled over to the apparatus and ran his tiny digits over the letters on the cover. The first part of the word was rather easy to understand, as it was the first half of the azure reptile’s esteemed species—Poké. The last three words were a little harder for the Pokémon to understand, but after a few minutes, Squirtle managed them.
“Poké…dex. Pokédex.” The tiny reptile said, smiling gleefully at how easily it was to pronounce the human language. It wouldn’t take him much longer to master the rest of it, but the thoughts of such a miniscule victory were shortsighted when Squirtle recalled the usage of the apparatus before him. A Pokédex was what the humans had been using for years to catalog the hatchling’s people as if they were nothing but mere animals. The mere thought of the device made the young revolutionary’s blood boil.
The decorative object embedded on the cover of the machine was a Pokéball. It was what the oppressive Homo sapiens used to trap Pokémon. Pushing his little fingers down into the crevice in the center of the apparatus, Squirtle wrenched the dreaded machine open. Beneath the cover, a screen and a slew of buttons were erected—their actually purpose completely unknown to the device’s current, unfamiliar user. Hopping onto the rows of buttons, Squirtle performed a rather erratic dance until he hit enough buttons to activate the machine.
After flashing for a while and spouting some verbal greetings in the human tongue, the Pokédex popped up the last entry that had been access—Number 007: Squirtle. The mere sight of his race documented like some type of cheap plant in a biology book made the Tiny Turtle want to desperately harm something of the human orientation. Before his malignant thoughts could come to any fruition, the Pokémon was startled by the sound of a branch snapping behind him.
Turning sharply, Squirtle saw the goliath-sized human and reacted swiftly. Releasing as potent a deluge from his maw as he could, the cyan reptile managed to divert the projectile before it managed to strike him. The look of surprise on the human attacker’s face was almost equal to the amount of rage displayed on Squirtle’s countenance. The Water Pokémon watched with a frustration-induced twitch to his eye as the Pokéball rolled away—a few splashes of water still clinging to its metallic surface.
The cap wearing kid retreated a few steps from the rather diminutive turtle. His eyes had fallen to the device that he must have left as a means of bait, but when he went to move forward again to retrieve it, Squirtle retaliated. Bringing a massive amount of his internally-produced water into his mouth, the Tiny Turtle lunged forward like a caged animal—firing the fluid in the form of a translucent sphere. The bubble attack slammed into the lad’s eyes, eliciting a squeal of surprise and a subsequent and rather hasty retreat.
Grinning victoriously, the small reptile walked over to the device that had failed in its intended goal to enslave him. With a widening smile, he proceeded to kick it as far as his tiny legs could. As the Pokéball rolled down an incline, Squirtle walked over to the other apparatus the trainer had left behind, and he then proceeded to saturate it with water. The Tiny Turtle didn’t stop until tiny columns of smoke were drifting up from the Pokédex.
Although the victory would go unseen to the masses, the reptilian radical and fledgling Pokémon activist would never forget his first triumph over man. Leaving behind the ruined technology, Squirtle resumed his trek toward the large city he had seen on the horizon while traveling down river.
As the turtle began on his walk, his mind began to wonder in order to more easily pass the time. Squirtle really didn’t know why he was born with so much knowledge. After all, most Pokémon tend to spend most of their lives attempting to rival cattle when it comes to intelligence, but for some reason, Squirtle had been born a cut above the rest. In fact, he was concrete in his opinion that he was probably already one of the smartest of his people to exist. Why else would he already have so much knowledge crammed into his diminutive, infantile body?
Setting aside the philosophical debate with himself for later, the azure reptile blasted a rather dense stream of water into the slow moving creek. The liquid projectile slammed into a minnow and sent the tiny fish flying out of the water and onto the other side of the shore. With a primitive gleam in his eye, the Tiny Turtle lunged across the minute creek and pounced upon his flailing prey. Before the minnow had a chance to react, Squirtle stepped on its head and its brain ceased to function correctly.
Baring his rapidly developing teeth, the amphibious superstar tore into the distended body of the fish—easily tearing apart the frail gills and diving into the tender, underlying meat. In a matter of seconds, the famished Pokémon managed to reduce his snack from nothing but bones, a tail, and one horrendously smashed cranium. Smiling contently, the satisfied turtle ran on of his pudgy hands over his plastron and turned his attention to the direction he had been traveling.
Figuring that the small creek would probably lead toward the large city, Squirtle dove in without another moment of hesitation. The sensation that followed brought a smile to the young turtle’s face as he simply bobbed up and down in the cool, slow-moving waters. After the peaceful little moment of daydreaming, the reptilian insurgent kicked his tiny legs and darted forward. Although he was barely over a day old, Squirtle had swimming down pat—after all, it was his genetic forte.
Tucking in his arms, the newborn made an effort to work on his finesse, and soon enough, he was gliding through the water in a rather crocodilian fashion. With his nostrils sealed off to prevent the flow of liquids into them, Squirtle swam with only his big eyes poking above the surface of the water. The relative peace reigned over the tiny creek for about half a mile before humanity once again reared its hideous countenance. The Tiny Turtle first noticed the pudgy human, perched over the small river holding some type of weapon in his hands.
The brown piece of wood extended upwards, and from its tip, some type of almost invisible chord suspended down into the tranquil waters. The section that had been dipped into the stream terminated in some type of sick, hooked blade, and it was upon that blade, that Squirtle could see some type of annelid squirming in vain to escape. The worm’s efforts were of no use, because the Pokémon could easily see that the Homo sapiens had driven his small, hooked blade through the tiny, defenseless creature’s midsection.
Grimacing slightly at the sight of the dying animal, Squirtle realized that he had to avenge the comrade dying in front of him. Even if it wasn’t one of his people, the amphibious superstar knew that he had to stop the tyranny of man. Lunging up from the stream, the turtle unleashed a small deluge into the eyes of the lazy hominid. Gasping in shock, the overweight monstrosity toppled backwards, his weapon falling to the wayside as Squirtle pressed the attack.
As the man tried to make sense of the situation, the Tiny Turtle caught sight of a box of some sorts. Opened up by its owner, the large container was filled to the brim with tools of torture. Frowning, the azure reptilian hopped up to the rim of the chest of horrors and tenderly picked up a rather gruesome too that was adorned with four barbed hooks. Before the man had even managed to sit up, the enraged Pokémon attacked—swinging the lethal ornament down as he leaped at the cretin’s face. The hooks drove into his eyes, eliciting a series of horrified screams.
Squirtle, however, was not the type to capitulate. Even as the primate started to bat at him, the amphibious revolutionary struck back vehemently. The stunned, agonized man’s attacks weren’t anywhere fast or strong enough to deter the Tiny Turtle from his bloodlust. With a rapid succession of blows, the Pokémon managed to rip away the thin layer of tissue that concealed the monster’s eyes. Although the tyrant’s strikes in Squirtle’s direction were losing some of their desperate ferocity, the azure reptile didn’t stop until he hooked the back of an eye and ripped it out.
The instant that the man’s right ocular nerve was severed, he instantly slumped back—his massive form colliding with the earth. Squirtle, standing on the man’s chest and still holding the torture instrument in his hands, looked at the bulging eye and frowned. Shooting a stream of water from his mouth, he sent the severed organ off the weapon and to the bare dirt. Just as he was about to get a move on, the Tiny Turtle felt the man’s chest rise faintly. The incredulous thought drove the reptilian insurgent to new levels of aggravation.
Walking up the man’s collapsed form; Squirtle drove the four-pronged device into the right side of the monstrosity’s neck, right below his ear. Grunting as he moved, the Tiny Turtle drug the stolen weapon across the length of the man’s neck and over to his left ear. Taking a step back, the amphibious revolutionary watched as small spouts and tiny rivulets of blood escaped the deep, fatal laceration.
The tyrant’s screams, which had came an end following Squirtle’s ocular surgery, returned as frantic gurgles. The gurgling made the turtle laugh, because each one was accompanied by more and more blood, which spewed down onto the man’s chin. After another few seconds of fighting and straining, the vanquished beast fell still. Discarding the bloodied, manmade torture instrument, Squirtle glared hatefully at the fallen Homo sapiens. In all of his spasms, his blood had managed to get onto the turtle’s body.
Spitting upon the primate for good measure, the Pokémon spun around and quickly dove back into the stream. His little recess was over, and it was due time that he continued his venture toward the city. It was there that he would hit humanity where it would hurt them the most—the center’s of their overpopulated, pollution producing, shrines to commercialization and the destruction of Mother Nature.
***
Squirtle popped his head above the water and eyed the scene downriver: Some type of massive, smog-emitting structure was dumping gallon upon gallon of liquid into the stream. It had been a mile or so since Squirtle's last interaction with life, and the amphibious superstar was already infuriated by what he saw. The Tiny Turtle, unaware of the exact origin of the orange, partially chunky fluid, quickly escaped to the shore before he got any closer. Shaking his tiny frame a few times to decrease the amount of water still clinging to his azure-colored flesh, the amphibious creature glared at the ominous structure.
A fortress of black steel and stone, the building was decorated with a multitude of skyward-facing pipes that spouted the most foulest of thick, obsidian smoke. Squirtle immediately realized that he was gazing straight at one of humanity’s monuments to industrialism. The Pokémon quickly drew the correlation between the factory and the vast excess of orange liquid gushing from its bowels into the stream. Squirtle realized the humans were poisoning the ecosystem, and the dead, deformed fish were a dead giveaway.
The site of humanity’s poison corrupting the earth made the turtle’s blood seethe, and he knew immediately what had to be done. Despite the fact that the city was but a mere mile or so away, he knew he had to delay his visit in order to deal with the threat at hand. Sneaking across the dying grass near the shore of the defiled river, Squirtle made his way toward the towering, ebony fortress. Noticing that there were no guards on duty, the azure reptilian, capitalizing on his minute figure, slid through a tiny grate erected near the back door of the facility.
Once inside the horizontal shaft, the amphibious superstar sprinted at a rapid pace. He continued to run until he could hear the voices of human filth. Coming to a screeching halt, Squirtle noticed another vent to his immediate right. Through the tiny exit of the shaft he could see the ankles of about two human beings. Knowing that attacking now would be suicide, the Tiny Turtle waited what seemed like an eternity. He couldn’t understand what exactly the men were saying, but he knew it had to be something malicious and insidious, because after all, they were Homo sapiens.
After an eon or two, one of the humans departed the chamber, and his ally returned to his post near an array of screens. Squirtle sneered as he slipped out through the grate and scaled a nearby desk. Eying what seemed to be a writing tool haphazardly placed within his reach, the Tiny Turtle swiftly moved over and scooped up the heavy tool. Firmly clenching the sleek, cool pen, the Pokémon leaped from the desk. His landing was silent, despite the fact that the pen made a muffled noise upon striking the ground.
Grinning maliciously, Squirtle unleashed a torrent of water from his entrails. He didn’t capitulate until a considerable pool had been conjured from his depths and splashed across the ground behind the man. Taking a number of steps back, the cyan amphibian uttered a high-pitched squeak. The diminutive scream was enough to elicit a yelp of surprise from the human, who abruptly spun around to try and locate the source of the sound. Taking a step forward, he slid in the puddle of water and took a dive forward.
Squirtle snarled as he raised the tip of the writing tool upward. The man’s eyes widened until plunging directly onto the elevated pen. The worker’s forehead stopped about a centimeter above the Tiny Turtle’s head, but the flow of blood from his gruesome wound splattered the revolutionary. Although the hominid fidgeted and squirmed, his life would end soon enough, but before he had the chance to alert the others, Squirtle brutally clawed into his throat and tore out his larynx. The factory worker, weakened but not dead, rolled onto his back and tried in vain to muster the strength to remove the utensil from his eye.
Capitalizing, the Tiny Turtle lunged onto the man’s neck and started to shoot off streams of water down the gaping hole in his trachea. After a few minutes of silent struggling, the solider of industrialism fell limp beneath the wrath of the diminutive, reptilian insurrectionist. Watching the last signs of life slip away from the primate, Squirtle turned his attention back to the control panel and screens that he had been watching. Another malignant thought manifested itself within the tiny warrior’s mind.
Squirtle, leaving behind the bloodied, damp corpse of the fallen factory worker, marched toward the chair beneath the control panels he had seen the man tinkering with early. The turtle figured that if he could cause the device to malfunction, he just might be able to halt the building’s operations. An even greater victory would come if he could cause some permanent damage to the building in the form of a machine failure or worse—an explosion.
With thoughts of carnage and mayhem on his mind, the Tiny Turtle scaled the large sitting apparatus. Once he reached its apex, he dove from its heights and managed to land smoothly near the bottom edge of the wide, expansive panel of switches, buttons, and lights. Although he didn’t know any of their actual purposes, Squirtle was confident he could over both that and his inability to understand the human speech in order to thwart their plans.
Turning his attention from the sea of plastic and glass implements, the amphibious revolutionary glanced up at all of the monitors built into the walls about the multiple control panels. He could see several small, monochromatic video feeds of other areas of the factory on the screens. Most of the images were of workers incessantly toiling away their lives in the mission of keeping the factory’s machinery running flawlessly. Despite an inborn loathing of the primates, Squirtle had to feel some pity for the drones of that species.
Unfortunately, that wouldn’t save them from being purged once the azure lizard solidified power; however, their deaths would undoubtedly be short and painless. After all, they had spent their lives slowly dying on the inside—that was their torture. Unlike the pompous, self-absorbed bureaucracy that dominated the planet and reveled in slowly raping it of its beauty, they were just pathetic minions following orders.
Shaking the philosophical tangent from his mind before he got too into it, Squirtle turned his attention back to the task at hand. With a fury never before seen, the amphibious radical set out to completely dismantle the device to the best of his abilities. After about a moment or so, the apparatus started to spew sparks and smog as buttons began to break and meters began to go into the danger zone all across the many panels.
Leaping from the smoke and spark-laden surface, Squirtle pivoted a few times and landed on the chair positioned near the apparatus. In the background, the Tiny Turtle could hear a rather strange voice relaying some type of repetitive message, but because the voice was in the human tongue, the Pokémon could not comprehend it. Ignoring the unnecessarily loud tone, the cyan reptile made his way out through the slightly ajar door.
He was en route to the room where he had seen all of the work go down, and once he got there, he was going to watch the entire factory malfunction and possibly breakdown entirely. With a smile growing across his infantile visage, the turtle made his way down a metal hallway bathed in the red glow of emergency lights. The reptilian insurrectionist was able to evade the slew of workers who were scampering from room to room in a desperate attempt to locate the source of the calamity.
With a malicious glint in his eye, Squirtle entered through the open doorway of the only chamber marked with a large, caution placard. Steam was gushing down from a ceiling that was choked with copper pipes and random wires. Labored machines were clanking away in a desperate effort to hold themselves in one piece, and much to the chagrin of the turtle, a large assortment of workers were still diligently slaving away to keep the apparatuses from going critical.
Greatly annoyed by the display of valor by the human drone population, the Tiny Turtle moved forward to smite the disheartened, disheveled opposition. Unfortunately, the moment that Squirtle landed next to the largest of the machines, a cataclysm of the epic sort began to unfold. Screws began to pop from the metal frame of the storage device like bullets from a high-powered gun, and the same orange fluid the reptile had seen earlier began to spew from the diminutive holes.
The fatigued workers started to back away, but before either they or Squirtle could get to a safe distance, the apparatus exploded—unleashing a deluge of the orange fluid upon the group of Homo sapiens and the infant Pokémon. The tiny, amphibious superstar raised his small hands, violently shaking them toward the wave in the moments before it engulfed him…

Name:
Shay Cormac
Character source:
Assassin's Creed: Rogue
Character history:
Shay Patrick Cormac was born to an Irish immigrant family sometime in 1731, in New York of the Thirteen Colonies. Only being able to be raised by his aunt, as a result of his mother's death at his childbirth, and his father's occupation as a marine, he mostly roamed the streets as a troublesome child only ever accompanied by his childhood friend Liam O'Brien.
During his teenage life, Shay joined his father at sea, practicing the art of swordsmanship and marksmanship, eventually getting to the point where he shot and took down an enemy pirate captain attacking his father's ship, saving it and it's crew from utmost certain disaster. Although he trained well, it couldn't prevent the tragic storm that took his father's life and the rest of his ship's crew in 1747. Upon realization of this information, Shay roamed the city streets of New York, lost and distressed. Liam once again stood up for Shay at this time by later on introducing Shay to the Assassin Brotherhood and Liam's mentor, Achilles Davenport.
Over the next few years, Shay worked long and hard for the Assassin cause of peace through freedom for the entire human race, devoting himself and his time to serve the Creed and it's three tenets. Although Shay fought with purpose and stride, over time he could not help to wonder about his mentor's strict control over him and his allies, as well as the motives of the Brotherhood and how they deal with the Templar Order, their sworn enemies, the two groups only differences being how they want to achieve their similar goals of peace. The Assassins wanted freedom, and the Templars wanted order, no middle ground, nothing in-between.
While on a mission in 1752 in the middle of the North Atlantic, Liam and Shay come across their ally Louis-Joseph Gaultier, Chevalier de la Vérendrye while hunting for food, who was supposed to receive valuable cargo from his Assassin smuggler group, which were captured by a nearby Royal Navy crew. After a while of bickering between Chevalier and Shay, Liam breaks up their fights and goes off with Shay to infiltrate the smuggler's campsite and take over a British sloop-of-war ship named the Morrigan, to which Shay captained for himself from then onward.
After going back to the Colonial Assassin headquarters, the Davenport Homestead, he and his comrades met with Adéwalé, an Assassin of the Carribean Brotherhood, previously working as quartermaster for legendary Assassin and notorious pirate Edward Kenway. Upon Adéwalé's arrival, him and Achilles discussed the manner of the earthquake that struck down Port-au-Prince, capital of Haiti, a year prior to the meeting, while Shay and his accomplices Hope Jensen, Liam O'Brien, and Kasegowasse went through their routine Assassin training.
After his training sessions, Shay went to Achilles, obtain a new mission to retrieve two First Civilization artifacts that were previously stolen by Templars, those being the Precursor Box and the Voynich Manuscript. Sailing to Chevalier and meeting the Assassin informant and spy Le Chasseur, Shay traveled to Mount Vernon, home of Templar Lawrence Washington, older brother of Redcoat George Washington at the time. Infiltrating the mansion, Shay intercepted a package meant for the Templars, a prototype air rifle, which looked like a conventional musket, but instead of being fired with projectile based discharges, was used by locking compressed air. Testing his new weapon out for a bit, he then begins to hide among the crowd to listen in on a Templar meeting hosted by Lawrence Washington, joined by Templars Jack Weeks, Samuel Smith, and James Wardrop. Lawrence assigned both James and Samuel to guard the Precursor Box and Manuscript, but only just before they all left Lawrence's side, making him an easy target for Shay, whom assassinated the former, and escaped the mansion with Liam and the Morrigan, although Shay still had his doubts killing Lawrence, seeing he was already dying and helpless.
Using the information to his advantage, Shay sailed to Terra Nova, which Samuel Smith hid upon realizing Shay was giving chase to his schooner. While ashore, Shay quickly found Smith and assassinated him, acquiring the Precursor Box. Whilst in 1754, as conflicts grew among British and French forces, Shay went to Albany, New York to track down James Wardrop. After sneaking into the Albany Congress to which Benjamin Franklin and Templar William Johnson discussed the manner of politics and Franklin's lightning experiments, Shay found out the location of James Wardrop at Fort Fredrick, and upon infiltration, assassinated him and took the Manuscript from Wardrop's dying hands.
Having completed his mission with both artifacts, Hope and Shay went to the help of Benjamin Franklin to conduct his lightning-to-battery experiment on both the Precursor Box and the Manuscript, to which a holographic image of the globe appeared above the Box, highlighting the location a First Civilization Temple in Lisbon, Portugal on it's maps. Going back to the Davenport Homestead to dispatch the information to Achilles, he assigned Shay a mission to go to Lisbon, find the Temple, and retrieve the Piece of Eden located within, a powerful and mystical First Civilization artifact capable of giving any living thing who wields it superhuman ability and control.
While in Lisbon, Portugal, Shay went into the Carmo Convent, and solved a wide variety of puzzles using his Hidden Blade and Eagle Vison. As soon as all puzzles were solved, a hidden passageway opened at the back of the building, leading into the Temple. Going down, Shay was in wonder as all of this strange and unique architecture surrounded him, and at the very end, a star-shaped artifact suspended above a pedestal. Slowly, Shay grabbed it and put it out of it's place, but he was soon to find out it would all go downhill from there.
As quickly as he pulled the artifact from it's place, Shay felt the ground shake beneath him, and the Temple collapsing around him. Shay ran out of the Temple's passageway to already find huge chunks of the building being shaken off by the violent earthquake he believed himself to have caused. Running out of the building, Shay escaped Lisbon, but all he could hear and see was the terrifying screams of the city's inhabitants and buildings crumbling down every second. Finally jumping into the sea, Shay reached the Morrigan, and looking behind him, saw the horror that was Lisbon burned to the ground, in nothing more than ruins.
Shattered by this incident, Shay returned to Achilles in rage and hatred for his mentor and what Shay believed them to make him do, slaughtering thousands of innocent beings for nothing more than an artifact that did nothing but destroy when taken out of his place. Shay believed Achilles to have foreseen this outcome, as the same thing had happened when Adéwalé discussed the fall of Port-au-Prince, making his conflict even worse. As Hope and Liam escorted Shay out of the Homestead, Shay sat at a campfire for a couple of hours, obviously distraught by his actions, and the fact that his Assassin comrades shrugged it off as if it were no big deal.
Shay had had enough of this behavior. Sneaking into the Davenport Homestead at night, Shay went to the second floor and retrieved the Manuscript, before Achilles opens the door behind him. Trying to convince Achilles why Shay believed it had to be done was useless, as Achilles bashed Shay's body into a window, before attacking him once more, only to be countered by Shay, who had jumped out of the broken window, landing onto the snow below. Achilles screamed orders for the Assassins to catch him and retrieve the Manuscript, but Shay nimbly avoided gunshots, blades, and cannon fire constantly coming his way, whilst Hope, Liam and Kasegowasse went after him with no remorse.
Reaching the end of the icy island, the only option was jumping into the cold water below, which would have killed him anyways. Stopping dead in his tracks, Shay turned to face an entire Assassin Brotherhood standing against him, pointing their blades and guns. With that, he simply stated that with all the lives lost at Lisbon, one more wouldn't matter, before walking off to jump. Before he could make his own way into the water and bury the Manuscript at sea with him, Shay was shot in the back by Chevalier, making him fly into the dark water below.
Although he fully expected death to meet him, Shay found himself a couple weeks later waking up and being nursed back to health by the Finnegan family of New York. Their meeting didn't last too long, however, as their house at that moment in time was being attacked and robbed by gang members, to which Shay took care of with ease, even with all the bandages and wounds around him. Considering his clothes were lost and destroyed during the fall he took, Shay was offered by Barry and Cassady Finnegan their late-son's Templar uniform. Not caring much at all about the Assassins at this point, Shay took the clothes eagerly and donned them with pride.
As Barry and Cassady gave Shay his weapons, Shay interrogated a gang member, finding the location of their hideout, which was easy enough to find afterwards. Infiltrating the hideout of the goons wearing orange, Shay looked up at their flag to find out the terrorizing gang belonged to the Assassins, fueling Shay's feelings against the Assassins even more. Killing the gang member and burning the flag, Shay observed as British troops took over and liberated the hideout, taking all survivors Shay left as prisoner. Shortly after, while leaving the hideout of the Assassin gang, he met up with British Redcoat and Templar, General George Monro, who explained to Shay his motives and his relation to the Finnegan family, convincing Shay to work with him in his cause.
With the assistance of Shay, George Monro directed Shay to the public execution of his Templar ally, Christopher Gist. Stopping his excecution, Shay and Gist fight off the Assassin gang members, before Shay notices his ship, the Morrigan, far to the right of Fort Arsenal. As Shay went off to take his ship back, Gist promised to come back with a crew as thanks for saving his life. When the Assassin flag was off the Morrigan, Gist kept to his promise, bringing back a stable crew, before Shay agreed on Gist being the quartermaster from then on. The two then went to Albany to meet up with General Monro once more.
Joining Monro at the docks of Albany, Shay learned of a French fortress that was threatening to disrupt Monro's plans. After stealing supplies from a nearby French warehouse directed to Shay by Gist, Shay used these supplies to repair and upgrade the Morrigan. When the improvements to the vessel were made, Shay, Gist, and Monro sailed to the French fortress, taking it down with ease. Infiltrating the destroyed fort, Shay fought his way to the war room, finding Le Chasseur waiting for Shay's arrival. The two fought, Shay emerging victorious as Le Chasseur revealed the plans of his allies relating to the production of poisonous gasses.
After heading back to the city, Shay told Monro about this information, before Monro told Shay about a woman directing criminal acts around the city, and that Benjamin Franklin who was present in New York was making a prototype weapon. Monro then directed Shay to intercept the delivery. Upon arrival of Benjamin Franklin's house, Shay told Franklin that he was there to collect the prototype weapon, to which Franklin did not question, happily handing it over to him. The strange prototype was a grenade launcher Shay easily attached to his air rifle, to which he used shortly after to destroy an Assassin factory producing the poisonous gasses, stopping the Assassin's plans dead in their tracks.
Meeting Gist and Monro on top of a roof shortly after Shay made his escape from the destroyed factory, the three of them met with Jack Weeks and William Johnson, all of which congratulating Shay on his actions, all agreeing that Shay saved countless lives in New York. As the year passed, Shay worked with Gist and Monro, proving himself among the ranks of the Templars, convincing them both that Shay would be a truly worthy candidate for their Order.
In 1756, Shay opened a package and letter coming from George Monro. Inside the package, Shay found the Manuscript, and upon reading the letter, Shay learned that Monro had saved him and put Shay under the care of the Finnegans as a result of Monro's belief that Shay's defection for the Assassin Brotherhood. In the same letter, Shay also read that the Grand Master of the Colonial Rite had Monro attempt to decode the Manuscript, a task in which he had failed to do so, and Monro's dire situation at Fort William Henry, him and his troops being overwhelmed by French soldiers.
Sailing to Fort William Henry, Shay found Jack Weeks waiting for William Johnson's reinforcements at the dock, the latter to have never came. Shay's suspicions that Kasegowasse was involved in the alliance formed by his native tribesmen and the French troops was confirmed when Shay met with Monro and his squadron deeper into the island, both Shay and Monro being attacked by multiple Assassins while running to the Morrigan for safety. As the two boarded, Jack Weeks threw an explosive gunpowder barrel off into the docks where Kasegowasse took chase, before Shay shot it mid-air. As it exploded, Kasegowasse's face could be seen clearly scared from the blast, giving Shay ample time to escape.
After the rescue mission, Shay went back to Albany, finding the city becoming a battlefield of British soldiers against French and Assassins. Finding Kasegowasse in the town, Shay ran for him, before they fought in the middle of a fortress, Shay being able to injure him with fast firing and fast reloading Puckle guns, which were previously only attached to the Morrigan's hull. Shay, once again coming out on top, listened to Kasegowasse's last words, saying Monro was already dead. Upon hearing this, Shay ran to Monro's previous location, only to find his dying body in the middle of a burning household. As Shay carried Monro out, Shay had put Monro's body on the ground, his final words mentioning Liam taking the Manuscript, before he took off his Templar ring and gave it to Shay, and collapsing onto the ground beneath them both.
Quickly following this, Shay went to the Grand Master of the Colonial Rite to finally become an official Templar. The Grand Master, Haytham Kenway, son of Edward Kenway, held a Templar ceremony for Shay, accepting him into the order as Shay swore his oath to the Templar cause. Following the ceremony, Shay went outside to discuss with Haytham the Assassins plans, mentioning how they were trying to use the Precursor Sites for power among the Templars, and resulted in endangering innocent lives.
A while after, Shay set off to the North Atlantic to meet the Royal Navy captain James Cook, and after a bit of talking, allowed Shay to use his Man-O'-War ship, the HMS Penbroke, to intercept the plans of the French Navy. During the naval combat between Shay and the French captains, Adéwalé assisted the French ships with his own brig, the Experdo Crede. Taking on an overwhelming amount of firepower, Shay could not stop Adéwalé from escaping with his ship.
Making chase for Adéwalé and the Experdo Crede, Shay beached the Experdo Crede at the shore of River Valley, allowing Shay and Haytham to catch Adéwalé on land. While Haytham distracted Adéwalé, Shay took this time to sneak through the fort he was hiding in and assassinate Adéwalé once and for all. With his dying words, Adéwalé told Shay that Achilles already possessed the means to get to the Precursor Sites, and he was too late.
After this encounter, Shay went back to New York, spying on his former Assassin comrades, and hearing about their plans to replicate Benjamin Franklin's experiments on the Precursor Box. Shay then went to Jack Weeks to come up with a plan to stop this from happening, which was to disguise as one of the Assassins and get the British troops in the city to pay attention to the Assassin threat by causing lots of trouble in the area, accomplished by freeing multiple Assassin goons and looting various chests while taking down the British flag over one of their forts as Weeks made a distraction in the front. Escaping the area, Shay and Jack Weeks looked down to overhear a British captain ordering one of his troops for the immediate attention of the Assassin gangs.
Shortly after Shay and Weeks caused this commotion, Shay met up with Haytham, who was interrogating an Assassin gang member for the location of Hope's hideout. When the gangster finally muttered out the location, Haytham quickly killed him, before Shay joined him, travelling to Hope's mansion residing in the city. Climbing to the top of the mansion, Shay looked through the windows to see Liam and Hope already finishing the experiment, and Hope ordering Liam to take off with the Precursor Box and Manuscript with the new location of the Precursor Site. After Liam made his leave, Hope looked up into the air, and shot the window Shay was standing on top of, causing him to fall a long distance down, giving Hope enough time to gas the area and take away Shay's protective gas mask.
Escaping the mansion anyways, Shay chased Hope throughout the city, trying to stay active so the poison Hope previously injected into Shay's body wouldn't kill him. After a good couple minutes time of running and climbing, Shay caught up to Hope and made quick work with her, assassinating the woman quickly. Taking the antidote from her pocket, Shay drank it, curing him, as Hope revealed she was simply causing a diversion for Liam and Chevalier.
Once again sailing to the North Atlantic, Shay and Gist went to James Cook for the location of Chevalier, which he suspected might be residing in Anticosti island. When the two pinpointed Chevalier's exact location, they sailed into a snowstorm, as Chevalier himself used this at his advantage to overwhelm the Morrigan with a fleet of Assassin ships, to no avail. The Morrigan sank each individual vessel, including Chevaliers, the Gerfaut, boarding it and assassinating Chevalier quickly thereafter. Once again, Shay was told by Chevalier that his death was another decoy for Liam and Achilles to get to the Precursor Site.
Shay reported the information to Haytham, the two soon sailing for the Precursor Site afterwards. Upon arriving to the Precursor Site's general location, Haytham and Shay navigated through the ice cave and past a large amount of Assassin troops, before the two got separated. When they finally joined again, they had reached the Temple only to find Achilles and Liam observing the artifact identical to the one Shay took off in Lisbon, Portugal. Staying quiet, Haytham and Shay overheard Achilles admitting he was wrong about the Precursor Sites, and that Shay was right. Shay took this as an opportunity to step in, telling both Achilles and Liam their blind grabs for power was doing nothing but endangering the lives in which the Assassin's creed swore to protect. Liam then told Shay that although he was right, he still betrayed the Brotherhood, and attempted to shoot Shay, before being interupted by Achilles, who accidentally pushed Liam into the artifact, knocking it over, and causing another earthquake.
Both Liam and Achilles ran off into different directions, Shay running for Liam as Haytham chased Achilles. As the two former friends fought one another, the ground beneath them both began to crumble, Liam falling backwards and taking a mortal wound from the fall itself, Shay remaining safe. Bested by Shay, Liam scorned Shay for betraying his comrades, to which Shay justified by telling Liam he was doing nothing more than doing what he thought was right, saving the world. Chuckling slightly, Liam turned over and told Shay he hoped that world was a good one, before passing away on the snow, taking the Manuscript from Liam's body.
Running back to Haytham and Achilles, he observed Haytham putting Achilles to the floor, beating him in a sword fight with ease, before Haytham was interrupted by Shay, preventing the Grand Master from killing Achilles, telling him it would be useless, because without him, the Assassins would continue their search for the Precursor Sites, and the Templar Order didn't need a reputation of violence and murder, showing mercy instead. Reluctantly, Haytham sheathed his sword and began walking away, before turning around, pulling out his flintlock pistol, and shooting Achilles in the leg, crippling him, making sure he'd remember what had happened.
Shay's mission being completed, Haytham assigned Shay the task of finding the Precursor Box, which he had mentioned might take years to retrieve again as they sailed back to New York to drop off Shay at Fort Arsenal. Walking towards his household and the chill Northern air, Shay entered his house and went to his bed. Although bitter about the deaths of his former allies, he was still confident what he did was the right thing to do.
Closing his eyes after a long trip back home, the journey to sleeping felt quite strange. The first few seconds he had thought he was sick, only to open his eyes and be met with an ominous figure who presented himself as Omni.
Physical description:

Standing at an average 5'5-6'0 feet tall, Shay Cormac strides a generally well toned built body, earned by his various long-lasting training sessions throughout his life. Always standing and walking straight, Shay is never afraid to show his face, only ever covering it up when using his gas mask to prevent smoke and other gasses from entering his body, however quickly taking it off whenever the chance. With somewhat long black hair, it's easy for him to tie it back in a short pony-tail to keep it out of his way while moving around, showing off the scar on his right eye. His outfit is a custom-tailored black and red Templar uniform with a washed out yellow undershirt, all held together by a Templar waist sash, complete with buttoned cuffs and leather gloves, each clothing sporting multiple elegant designs, including a couple Templar insignias, Yggdrasil, Celtic knots, and triquetras.
Stats:
ATK: 2
DEF: 3
SPD: 2
TEC: 3
Starting Proficiencies:
Physical Strength – 1000 OM
A unique proficiency, this allows characters to become proficient hand-to-hand combatants without purchasing any additional moves. It also allows for picking up heavy objects with your bare hands, strength dependent (as with your hand-to-hand strength) on your ATK stat. Once purchased, you may also purchase melee weapons as moves, or other advanced melee moves such as charged strikes.
Ranged Proficiency – 1000 OM
Allows you to purchase moves which can attack from range. For example guns, bows and long-range beam attacks.
Area Attack Proficiency – 600 OM
Allows you to create offensive moves with a wide area of effect, such an explosive that damages multiple enemies, or a beam wider than three feet in diameter. While the strength of wider attacks are diluted, or require more energy, they are very useful for dealing indiscriminate damage to a wider area and catching swift opponents.
Debuff Proficiency – 1000 OM
Allows you to create moves which have a lingering detrimental effect against opponents. For example, an ice beam which slows or freezes enemies, or a flashbang grenade that blinds and deafens your opponents.
Starting Powers:
Starting Moves:
Sword and Dagger – 300 OM (requires Physical Strength)
A dual wield sword and dagger combination. Shay's moderately lightweight Bastard sword and small dagger allows for easy and swift combos. Very good for one on one encounters.
Air Rifle and Grenade Launcher – 600 OM (requires Ranged Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency, and Debuff Proficiency)
Stolen as a package for Templar Lawrence Washington from a British ship, the single-shot air rifle allows for 40 meter distance Sleep darts to be fired, putting them to sleep for 8 seconds by default, although Primes with greater defenses can easily resist this effect entirely. Anybody with a defense statistic with 3 or higher can negate this effect. 2 second reloads must take place before firing off another shot. While aiming, Shay's movement speed is greatly reduced. Attached to his air rifle, Shay can take aim to fire a high explosive grenade with his Grenade Launcher prototype handed to him by Benjamin Franklin. Only able to arc at a distance of 10 meters. Shrapnel grenades are high damaging explosive shots that reach outwards at a 3 meter radius. Shay can load one grenade in the launcher at a time before a 4 second reload needs to take place. Extremely useful for hitting targets at a distance stealthily or taking out two to four enemies close together.
Hidden Blade – 300 OM (requires Physical Strength)
No Assassin, even a turncoat one, is complete without their set pair of Hidden Blades. Acquired during his time serving for the Assassin Brotherhood, Shay's trusty dual ring-pulley system Hidden Blades are simply two knives he is able to pull from his wrist, and as the name implies, hidden under the cuffs and gloves of his outfit. Although a weaker short pair of knives, they are noticeably faster than Shay's Sword and Dagger combination. Nifty for stealth ambushes.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct!
((As a final note, I may or may not have messed up with the whole account registration thing, accidentally putting that in first, so I'm still the same girl playing the same character, no confusion necessary!~))
