  Plot and character Question
Posted by: Kurusu Akira - 04-14-2015, 09:34 AM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (2)

So, I want to ask to make sure I'm allowed to do this for a personal plot. I already put something up in Quick Questions, but I realized today that that might not have been the proper place for what might be a more complex question than I originally thought, since I can split it into two parts.

First: Can I use Noise as a secondary? In Neku's homeworld, Noise is created from negativity and free-floating Soul, both of which would probably be easy to come by in Coruscant; the lower tiers would practically radiate both. The negativity from obvious sources and the Soul from any deaths due to things like pollution, gang violence, that freaking symbiote that totally isn't Carnage at all, etc. You need to have a high Vibe and be looking specifically for them to spot them, and they tend to hijack people's emotions to cause more negativity. It's like a snack for them. I was thinking Neku and Medusa could find some floating around the site of Crona's battle.

Second: Can I form a Pact with Medusa for plot purposes? This wouldn't really reflect in game terms, it wouldn't make either one stronger, but it'd make them work together and, more importantly, it would let Neku tune Medusa in to the Noise, like he did for Joshua, since Medusa doesn't have a Player Pin to scan for them.

Third: Can I buy and use an Isolation Verse to simulate the Noise Realm without having Neku throw down an item? Basically, I want the mechanical and story effect of an Isolation Verse; Medusa and Neku versus the Noise without any civilians, but Neku wouldn't be trying to make it happen; it'd just be something that happened when he went after the Noise.

  The Rogue Wave
Posted by: Shay Cormac - 04-13-2015, 04:58 PM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (1)

"Never forget what has happened here." Haytham Kenway scowled at Achilles Davenport, whom was on the floor, writhing in pain over the flintlock shot in the shin delivered to him by Haytham himself. Looking in shock, Shay stepped backwards, watching as Achilles' blood spilled onto the white snow. Although a bit harsh, Shay thought Achilles lucky he wasn't dead.

"I won't... But the world will! Achilles' pained voice wheezed out as the two Templars moved towards their vessel. Shay and Haytham stopped to look at each other upon hearing this for a brief moment, seemingly not fazed.

"Shay! We're arriving at the docks of Fort Arsenal!" Shay opened his eyes, pushing back the memories of the incident that only happened a few hours ago as Christopher Gist shouted at the back of the ship's hull. "Very well, Gist! Hand me the wheel!" Shay walked over to Gist's place on the ship, currently steering it. Putting a hand on Gist's shoulder, Shay took the wheel of the Morrigan as Gist stepped aside. Taking out his spyglass, Shay zoomed ahead, faintly observing one of the docks in New York, only a few meters away from Fort Arsenal.

The rest of the trip was silent, the moonlit sea seeming to tire the entire crew. It took barely any time at all with the Morrigan's speed to reach the docks, the crewmates quickly weighing anchor upon Gist's order. Shay rubbed his eyes, letting go of the wheel, stepping off the ship and onto the docks, Shay's harbormaster who took his shop at the end of these docks already greeting him, to which Shay waved back, remaining silent. The cold New York air blew against Shay's face, waking him up a bit. Finally reaching a normal walking speed, Shay took the pathway across his back garden, curving over to the front of the building itself, opening the door and entering.

Locking the door behind him, Shay took in a deep breath, glad he got home in a single piece. Although he lived alone, Shay never took this badly, already getting a lot of time with his crew and Templar comrades anyways. Fort Arsenal was a place for him to calm down, relax, and rest after long journeys out to sea, a run around New York, or even a hike across the woods of River Valley. Shay didn't bother to look at his collection of swords, armors or pistols however, simply going to his room to the right, and laying down straight on his already made bed.

Shay put his still fully suited hands behind his head and under the pillow, looking over to the window at his room, giving him a nice and calming view of the night sky. He couldn't help but to think about what he had accomplished over the past few years working for the Templar cause, and even though he was satisfied with the end result, Shay still felt bitter about the deaths of his former Assassin comrades, to which he had been the murderer of them all, including his best friend, Liam.

Even then, Shay had to do what needed to be done to ensure the safety of the innocents the Assassins claimed and failed to protect. It didn't help much to loom over a problem that has already been solved, right? Still thinking, Shay looked back up at the ceiling for a short while, before deciding to put the situation for rest, planning to have a calm, peaceful, and celebratory day by tomorrow with his fellow Templar soldiers. Shay them faded off into sleep, exhausted from all the things he's put himself through that day. Although he had plans, those were quickly denied from him when he felt the ground beneath his feet.

Shay opened his eyes, figuring he was already dreaming. Taking this information lightly, he then remembered he was not a lucid dreamer at all, so he assumed his brain ticked into this for one night, or... something else was happening. Taking in his surroundings, or lack thereof, all he could see from horizon to horizon was nothing but a blank, empty blackened space. Scratching his head, Shay then realized he could feel the scratch completely. You weren't supposed to feel anything in a dream but emotions, to what he's heard. His brain couldn't have been tricking him into thinking this, it was as real as any physical contact Shay has felt in the real world. This was getting extremely suspicious.

Just like that, Shay felt his eyes being blinded by a huge, bright light in front of him. Definitely real, definitely painful. Shay's eyes began to dilate, adjusting to the strange light. It appeared as nothing but a blur the first few seconds, but when Shay focused, he saw the strange light fading into a figure... a humanoid one, at that. Shay's eyes widened as soon as the ominous silhouette took full shape into the averagely built man, just... Blank white, all over. All except for that eerie, creepy as all hell grin that seemed to gleam brighter than the "man" himself.

Quote:My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.

Shay couldn't even speak if he wanted to at this point. This figure presenting itself as "Omni" took all of this like it was a daily occurrence, and to Shay's suspicions, he suspected it was. Either that, or this thing was completely insane. Shay wanted to believe this was all a very terribly real nightmare, but the weight of the ground below him reminded Shay that probably wasn't the case at all. Shay could barely think of what this Omni creature was saying, but Shay focused and listened, considering that was his only option at this point. Before muttering another word, Omni took his blank void of a hand, reaching it outwards. To Shay's confusion and surprise, the deity-like figure materialized a strange spherical orb suspended above his palm. Shay was immediately reminded of the strange inhabitants of the First Civilization, but something crept into Shay's mind that this wasn't their calling out to him. The mysterious, multi-colored ball of energy floated to Shay and above his hands. Observing it carefully, Shay awaited an explanation, to which Omni seemed to immediately catch onto.

Quote:This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.

Upon hearing this, Shay almost didn't want it, fearful of what powers could corrupt him with such a force. Even then, this was an offer hard to refuse, but it's not like he could even refuse anyways. Repeating Omni's words of this Omnilium, Shay remembered his words of desire. Shay still had choices, and he was always willing to die for them, no matter what it costed. With this, he could do so much more than even he accomplished in the Americas. Shaking his head slightly, he began to wonder about the Templar Order and what this meant, leaving them behind. Would time be stopped? Would this experience be temporary? Had his body gone somewhere before entering this realm? Shay's internal questions he kept asking over and over, before he wondered if others ventured in this Omniverse as well. Once again, Omni almost seemed to have heard this.

Quote:You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.

Living without fear of death was a conflicted idea for Shay. Did everybody have these powers here, according to Omni? Perhaps only some? Shay assumed that if others had interested Omni, then they could not technically die either. Shay blinked, thinking about how advantageous that could be in the wrong hands. Without anything else to say, Shay looked back up at Omni's still smirking face, before the silhouette spoke his final words, fading away into the darkness once more.

Quote:That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.

As soon as Omni had left, Shay felt his own vision fade into the complete darkness that lay before him. Shay closed his eyes, already expecting something else to happen, and as predicted, opened his eyes to be standing in the middle of the opposite of which he had stood moments before. Suddenly, Shay could feel a stinging cold in his boots, nothing he couldn't handle, but nothing he liked either. Looking down, he noticed he was ankle deep in ice cold water. Nothing but pure white from left to right, up and down, except for the ground beneath him, which appeared to be a rocky spring, covered in snow, filled with freezing water. Quickly stepping out, Shay shook his feet, drying off the increasingly cold liquid from his boots. As he continued to look at the ground, all he could see was snow and rocks scattered around the spring, although quickly fading away the more it distances itself from the spring itself. While taking in the environment, Shay noticed 8 gate-like entities miles away as a result of the easy to contrast environment. Looking to what he assumed was the west, Shay could barely see two human figures standing at each side of the gate, almost perfectly still. Obviously being most drawn to that, Shay looked at himself, reaching in his pocket for an actual compass, only to find nothing. Grumbling to himself, Shay got increasingly frustrated. "Wait... Where's my... Oh, this is just great..."

Quickly surprised, Shay reached in almost every pocket he had, only to find simple sleep darts and grenades, and nothing else despite being in full stock before arriving in the Omniverse. He noticed he still had his favored Sword and Dagger combination sheathed on his belt, thankfully. Shay reached at his back, relieved to feel he had his Air Rifle slung across his shoulder. Looking down at his wrists, Shay flicked his hands backwards, hearing a satisfying metallic sound of his Hidden Blades popping up below his wrist. Retracting them back down, Shay suddenly got a thought that his Templar Vison might have been reduced to nothing, noticing he hasn't been able to instinctively feel his Sixth Sense as soon as he met Omni. Closing his eyes, Shay focused and opened them, his surroundings nothing but blue, and yet... All points of interest were nothing but blue as well, usually always highlighted at Shay's will, mainly the two humans standing at the edges of the westward gate. It was completely useless now. "This had to have been that Omni fellow's doing, almost everything's gone now."

Closing and opening his eyes again, Shay turned off his now completely nullified Templar Vison. Sighing, he began to walk towards the gate of interest, before quickening his pace to a run. Now that he was finally free to walk on his own two feet, Shay regained his confidence quickly. In the midst of his sprint to the gate, he thought to himself how outlandish all of this seemed to be, and how it should be concerning how fast he accepted this to all be happening, but only smiling to himself instead.

"Jeez, Shay, what have you gotten yourself into?"

  Kvothe

Character name: Kvothe, son of Arliden.

Also known as: Kote, Reshi, Maedre, Dulator, Shadicar, Lightfinger, Six-String, Kvothe the Bloodless, Kvothe the Arcane, Kvothe Kingkiller.

Character source: The Kingkiller Chronicles

Character history:

[spoiler]

Within the world of Temerant Kvothe was born to Arliden and Laurian, leaders of an Edema Ruh troupe under the patronage of Baron Greyfallow. His early education is spotty and eclectic, his teachers being troupers and travellers. This changes when his troupe picks up an arcanist named Abenthy. Meeting Abenthy would be considered a pivotal moment in Kvothe's life, as during his first encounter with the arcanist, he witnesses him call the name of the wind. This ability sparks his interest and ultimately leads him to the University. Abenthy introduces Kvothe to a variety of subjects such as Sympathy, Chemistry, Rhetoric, and Arithmetic in preperation for his admittance to the University. Abenthy eventually left the troupe, much to Kvothe's dismay. It is shortly after Abenthy's departure, Kvothe's troupe are brutally murdered by the Chandrian. An event that substantially effects the young Kvothe's mind. After the horrific discovery and subsequent encounter with Cinder and Haliax, he flees into the nearby woods with nothing but his father's lute. He then spends nearly half a year recovering, completely alone. It is during this time he learns to play the lute so well he can conjure specific feelings and images with the notes. He is eventually forced to leave the forest when too many of his lute strings break and after days of walking, and a little help from a humble farmer named Seth, he reaches Tarbean.

On Kvothe's first day in Tarbean his father's lute is broken when he is robbed, and beaten by street urchins. After this incident he intends to go home with Seth, but instead becomes lost in the city missing his chance. Over the next three years he is forced to beg and steal simply to survive. Kvothe learns the in's and out's of being a street urchin, in most cases by hard lessons. Eventually he meets an old man by the name of Skarpi who tells him the story of Lanre and Myr Tariniel the later of which results in Skarpi being arrested by the Church of Tehlu for heresy. After this occurance Kvothe decides to leave Tarbean and seek admittance into The University. While traveling in the caravan he meets a women named Denna for the first time who would play a major role in his life.

In a series of events that would become legend Kvothe is not only accepted into the University but has the masters pay him to attend, and manages to enter the elite Arcanum within just three days. He is reunited with Denna, visits Trebon in search of the Chandrian, is raised to the rank Re'lar, and is brought up against the iron law. During this exciting time Kvothe is whipped a total of nine times but by using a drug known as nahlrout he endures it without crying out or bleeding which resulted in him earning the name "Kvothe the Bloodless".

While at The University Kvothe studies a multitude of subjects but his main focus are: Artificing, Medica, and Naming having already largely grasped the practice of Sympathy during his time with Abenthy although he does attend the class "Advanced Sympathy" taught by Master Elxa Dal. Unrelated to his studies during this time he also gains his Talent Pipes, which are a mark of a musicians talent, at an elite musical instituation known as The Eolian; which during his testing one of the strings on his seven-string lute is sabatoged and broken but he finishes the song regardless earning himself the nickname "Six-String".

After a few years of study at The University Kvothe is unable to attend further due to his poor financial situation but finds a position working as a covert musician for Maer Alveron, the second most powerful noble in the Kingdom of Vintas after the King of Vintas himself. During his many tasks performed for Maer he meets and befriends Tempi, an Adem mercenary, and begins to learn the Adem's languages, customs, and fighting philosophy. On the way back from destroying a bandit camp, Kvothe's group come upon the Felurian, a fatally seductive fae creature. Kvothe willingly follows her all the way into fae, leaving his companions behind. Catching her, she puts Kvothe through an experience that only a fae whom's every legend speaks of her seducing human men with her beauty, inevitably to either kill them through sexual exhaustion or by driving them insane.

Singing to her afterwords, Kvothe uses his knowledge of naming he barters with Felurian and they come to an agreement that if she frees him, he will write songs about her beauty and sexual prowess. They also agree that Kvothe will eventually have to return and be Felurian's lover until he dies. Even freed Kvothe spends a great deal of time with Felurian in the Fae and she teaches Kvothe many things, including information about the Creation War, the moon, and the shaper who stole it. She eventually desires to create Kvothe a cloak called a Shaed, which helps him hide better. She allows him to follow her into the fae and collect the darkness she must weave together, however, when it comes to the actual creation of the cloak, she sends Kvothe away. Shortly afterward he leaves the Fae and meets up again with his comrades who say he has been missing for three days despite it seeming a year worth of time to Kvothe.

On their return to Severen, Tempi is confronted by other Adem soldiers and is told that he faces potential disciplinary measures for having taught his Ketan to Kvothe, a barbarian in their eyes. Kvothe elects to journey with Tempi to Haert, a city in Ademre. Upon arriving there, he learns that Shehyn, the leader of the Latantha school, has decided to test whether Kvothe is "of the Lethani." Kvothe is assigned Vashet, an experienced Adem warrior, as an instructor. After passing the test he is given the name Maedre, and the ancient sword, Saicere, which Kvothe calls Caesura. Eventually, Kvothe is accepted as being capable of learning and is considered a student of the Latantha school, and is thus free to stay and study or to go. Having unfulfilled business with Maer Alveron, he elects to leave.

Having survived the streets of Tarbean as an urchin, studied and gotten expelled at The University at a younger age than most are even considered, spent time with Felurian not only escaping with his life and sanity but also new knowledge and... skills, and trained in the art of combat with the Adem, Kvothe layed down to sleep at an inn and awoke to all white.

Stats:
ATK: 2
DEF: 2
SPD: 1
TEC: 5

Starting Proficiencies:

Physical Strength – 1000 OM
A unique proficiency, this allows characters to become proficient hand-to-hand combatants without purchasing any additional moves. It also allows for picking up heavy objects with your bare hands, strength dependent (as with your hand-to-hand strength) on your ATK stat. Once purchased, you may also purchase melee weapons as moves, or other advanced melee moves such as charged strikes.

Ranged Proficiency – 1000 OM
Allows you to purchase moves which can attack from range. For example guns, bows and long-range beam attacks.

Ranged Materialize Proficiency – 600 OM (requires Ranged Proficiency)
Allows you to create moves which summon things further than five feet from yourself. This might be a pillar of fire than erupts underneath an opponent, or a shield that can appear around one of your allies. While such moves are generally more difficult to perform at range, their usefulness cannot be denied.

Remote Control Proficiency – 600 OM (requires Ranged Proficiency)
Allows you to create moves which can be manually controlled further than five feet from yourself, such as a shifting wall of sand or flying disks of energy that obey your commands. While Ranged Materialize Proficiency is not essential for such moves, they go great together.

Starting Powers:

Telekinesis (requires Ranged Proficiency, Remote Control Proficiency, Ranged Materialize Proficiency)
Telekinesis is the ability to remotely move objects with the power of your mind. Without derivative moves, it will allow you to pick up and manipulate objects in the specified radius. The further away something is, the harder it is to manipulate. At 50% of your maximum ranges, your telekinesis will have half of its power. At your absolute maximum range (which is determined by the level of Telekinesis you have) you will only have a tiny fraction of the power that you have up-close. Moves will be required in order to do other things such as telekinetic waves that can push back enemies or deflect projectiles, or to create walls that can block moves and enemies, or to affect Primes.

Basic – 400 OM
Maximum range of ~30 meters (~100 feet)

Starting Moves:

Saicere (300 OM): Saicere, known as Caesura when sheathed, is the longsword Kvothe is given by the Adem once he becomes a member of the school. The blade is a smooth burnished grey, with a slightly extended hand guard, and is made of an unknown alloy that even The University does not know the exact properties of.

Sympathetic Binding of Parallel Motion (600 OM): Kvothe uses his Alar to create a sympathetic binding between two objects: one that he can touch and another that he can see but both must be are alike in some way. Once this binding is established movement performed on the object touched by Kvothe will be transfered to the bound object that Kvothe could see at a transference rate dependant on how alike the two objects bound are. For example: if a Kvothe creates a sympathetic link between two coins, he may move both coins equal distances by exerting force on only one. The coin that is not directly acted on by the sympathist will move with the same force and direction as the coin acted on by the Kvothe. With such a sympathetic link, however, moving one of the coins will weigh as much as moving both of the coins. However, sympathy is not perfect, and some energy is always lost in the connection. Therefore, to move both coins, the symphathist will have to use more force than it would usually take to move two coins. How alike the two objects are can be as vague as Kvothe holding a chunk of iron and attempting to move an iron sword (about a 35% transfer rate) to Kvothe holding an iron sword and trying to move another iron sword (about a 70% transfer rate) although the best transfer rates are achieved by having something that is actually part of what he is trying to move such as Kvothe having the hair of a person and trying to slam their head into the ground (about a 90% transfer rate) a 100% transfer rate can never be achieved.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct. I have indeed read the Rules of Conduct.

Posted by: Shay Cormac Alt. - 04-12-2015, 12:05 PM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (2)

Hey, you all! I recently had my join sheet approved completely, purchase log posted by a staff member and everything, but I'm afraid I didn't get an e-mail confirming that I had my account activated. http://omniverse-rpg.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2187
I decided to wait about a day, checking my e-mails every so often, but nothing showed except for the pre-activation e-mail telling me I'd receive another message when my account got approved.
I suppose it might be because I screwed up my registration part, filling in that first, so... Could somebody fix this, or must I register again and start with another username still recognizable to the character's name?
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Second Character FTW #EdwardElric

Character Name: Cloud Strife

Character Source: Final Fantasy VII

Character History: Taken from Just before Final Fantasy VII starts.

Cloud was born in the mountain village of Nibelheim, and was neighbours with Tifa Lockhart. His father died when he was young and he was raised by his mother. As a child, Cloud had no close friends and perhaps as a coping mechanism, convinced himself he was superior to the other village children and so didn't care for their company. He had a crush on Tifa, but hated her friends, calling them immature. Although the two consider each other (and are considered by others) to be childhood friends, by Tifa's own account they were not close growing up, despite him having been her neighbour.

When Cloud was nine, Tifa's mother died, and Tifa insisted she could meet her by crossing Mt. Nibel. Cloud followed her and when a bridge collapsed he fell when trying to save her. He escaped unharmed but Tifa's life was in grave danger. The townsfolk believed the expedition up the mountain to have been Cloud's idea, and Tifa's father forbade Cloud from approaching her. Cloud blamed himself for failing to save her and developed an anger problem, getting into fights for little to no reason.

At the age of thirteen Cloud learned of Sephiroth and his exploits. Resolving to become a hero like him, Cloud decided to set out and join SOLDIER. He called Tifa out to the water tower to tell her about his departure, hoping to impress her and upon her request, promised to save her if she ever found herself in trouble. The following spring, he left for Midgar.

Cloud's dreams were cut short as, despite his bravado, he never made it into SOLDIER and became a mere ordinary Shinra infantryman. On June 28th, 0001, Cloud is among those ordered to protect Professor Rayleigh in Midgar from the insurgency organization AVALANCHE. Though he is unsuccessful, their lives are saved by the Turks. During the incident, Cloud displays impressive sword skills for a regular infantryman.

In autumn, while working for Shinra during Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-, at the age of fifteen, he meets a first-class SOLDIER named Zack Fair on their way to Modeoheim and the two befriend after learning they are both "backwater experts". When he and Zack infiltrate a Mako Excavation Facility, they encounter Genesis Rhapsodos and Dr. Hollander. When Hollander attempts to escape, Cloud briefly captures him. Hollander breaks free and Cloud gives pursuit, but both he and Tseng—the leader of the Turks—are taken down by Angeal Hewley.

Zack and Cloud meet again on September 0002 while protecting Junon from Genesis's attack. On September 22nd, 0002, Cloud returns to Nibelheim along with Zack and Sephiroth to investigate a damaged Mako Reactor on Mt. Nibel, and Tifa is to act as their guide. Embarrassed of his failure to join SOLDIER, Cloud hides his identity from the townspeople, and especially Tifa, by always wearing his helmet, although he does visit his mother who asks about his new life with Shinra.
When the expedition reaches the reactor, Sephiroth discovers Professor Hojo's experiments with makonoids and Jenova, whom Sephiroth mistakenly believes to be his mother. Cloud is knocked out by Genesis and is helped back into town by Tifa. When Cloud regains consciousness, he is angry at not being strong enough. Sephiroth locks himself in the Shinra Manor's basement, immersing in Professor Gast Faremis's writings, and discovers his dark past, as well the secrets regarding the Cetra and the Promised Land. On October 1st Sephiroth destroys the village on a rampage fuelled by his newfound hate for the "traitors" of the Ancients, the humans.

Cloud witnesses his mother's death in the ensuing fire and rushes to the reactor to confront Sephiroth where he finds both a gravely wounded Tifa and a barely conscious Zack. Cloud picks up Zack's Buster Sword, catches Sephiroth off guard in the reactor core, and impales him. When Cloud returns to attend to Tifa, a wounded Sephiroth emerges from the reactor core, but when Cloud attacks again, Sephiroth stabs him with the Masamune. Cloud summons previously unknown strength and uses the katana as a lever to hurl Sephiroth into the Mako pit below before collapsing.

Cloud and Zack, as well as other survivors in the town, become Professor Hojo's test subjects. Injecting them with Jenova's cells and exposing them to Mako, Hojo attempts to test his Jenova Reunion Theory and turns them into Sephiroth Clones. Since Zack had gone through a similar process in SOLDIER, his body resists the experiments, but Cloud develops a severe Mako poisoning. Hojo labels the two failures, places them in a cryogenic sleeping state and leaves them in their pods in the Shinra Manor basement.

Four years later (December 19th, 0006) Zack breaks out of his confinement and helps a vegetative Cloud escape, giving him a SOLDIER uniform to wear as his old clothes are soaked with Mako. Due to the experiments Cloud is weak and delirious but during their journey Zack tells the unresponsive Cloud about his life and his plans for both of them to become mercenaries in Midgar. Though Cloud is unable to partake in the events, he is present when Zack defeats Genesis.

After almost a year of running, the pair arrive outside of Midgar in September 0007. The Shinra forces catch up and Zack fights to defend both Cloud and himself against overwhelming numbers. Zack is gunned down, but the soldiers ignore the vegetative Cloud. He regains some awareness and crawls over to Zack who entrusts the Buster Sword to him, telling his legacy will live on inside Cloud, before dying. Buster Sword in hand, Cloud trudges off towards Midgar.

Cloud undergoes a transformation due to the combined trauma caused by the Nibelheim incident, Mako poisoning, and witnessing Zack's death. Cloud impresses Zack's memories and fighting abilities into his own, along with Tifa's memories of him and his own ideal image of himself as a SOLDIER, creating a new set of memories with an accompanying persona. What emerges in Cloud's mind is a reality in which he joined SOLDIER and was Sephiroth's partner—Zack did not exist—and in most of Cloud's twisted memories he takes Zack's place.

Physical Description: Cloud stands at 5'7" with a lean and toned build. He has spiky blond hair and it has become somewhat of a trademark for his appearance. Cloud has blue eyes, which glow due to him having being exposed to Mako. Because "Mako eyes" are an icon of SOLDIER, Cloud is often mistaken as one. Cloud’s outfit is the standard uniform for 1st Class SOLDIER: indigo pants with a sleeveless shirt, and a belt. Cloud wears brown boots, gauntlets and a pauldron over his left shoulder. Cloud is 20 years old (at the point I’ve taken him from).

SPD: 2
TEC: 2

Proficiencies: 2600
- Physical Strength (1000)
- Ranged (1000)
- Ranged Materialize (600)

Powers: 1100
- Burst movement (800)
- Super Jumping Basic (300)

Moves: 900
Buster Sword (300) – The Buster Sword is Cloud’s signature weapon and is roughly 6 feet long from tip to handle. The hand guard is made of a gold plated steel and has 4 slots on each side for Cloud to slot materia into. The Buster Sword has two holes near the base of the blade that sit just above the golden coloured hand guard, these holes are used to clip the blade onto clouds back via leather straps and clips.

Materia: Lightning (300) – Through the use of his Materia, cloud is able to summon a lightning bolt that strikes down from the sky. This lightning bolt is summoned on an enemy location and strikes an area that is three feet in diameter, with the person being the center point of the lightning strike. The move takes two seconds to strike down on a target which means that it can be dodged (it is not instant, just to be clear). It can only be used every 15 seconds. The lightning bolt is yellow in colour (for descriptive purposes).

Matera: Fire (300) – Through the use of his Materia, Cloud creates a three feet in diameter area around a target that – after two seconds – erupts with flames, burning anyone that is inside of this area, this also means that if a person is slow to react, then any part of their body that is still within the 3 feet in diameter area when the flames erupt, this part of their body is still burned. This move can only be used every 15 seconds and the flame only lasts for 3 seconds.

Note: Offensive Materia are green in color and emit a fluorescent glow. They are small in size - roughly 3cm in diameter - and appear in a spherical form.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct. [Well, this is a given]

OM Spent: 4600
