  A New World
Posted by: King Axorn - 06-02-2015, 08:00 PM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (26)

Axorn awoke, his eyelids fluttering open ,as he struggled to comprehend what had just happened, when he found himself floating in a dark abyss. The only thing he was able to see was a grinning silhouette somehow illuminated despite no visible source of light. Axorn attempts to speak but can't seem to but it seemed as though it was reading his mind.

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Omni hands you a glimmering orb in which all the colors of the rainbow coalesce. “This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.

“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

All of a sudden the darkness fades and Axorn finds himself in a vast white landscape in front of a fountain. The fountain has become a dragon with a crown on it's head and a human riding it. The dragon is spewing water out of it's mouth into the pool below.

"Well, that was... interesting to say the least." said Axorn, smiling at the prospect of a new adventure. "Let's do a quick check to make sure everything is in order. Sword..."

Axorn quickly snapped his hand to the hilt of his sword, making sure it was still there. "Check. Comm... Apparently not. Fire..."

Axorn tried to breathe fire but all the came out of his mouth was a measly puff of smoke. "OK, not desirable but I can live with it. Flight..."

Axorn quickly shot up into the air and did a loop with ease. "Check. And finally..."

Axorn began to tense his muscle as if something were to happen, but to no avail. "Well, that's two of my most useful powers down the drain... I hope I can find someone who can explain this to me..."

Axorn looked around him taking in all the gates and the people milling about, he quickly stopped and studied the steel gate and 1. realized that these were portal gates 2. took interest in the advanced technology it would require to build that look on the gate.

"Alright," he said. "I think I'll just sit around here for a while and see if anyone shows up before I try and make my way over there."

Axorn quickly walked around to the other side of the fountain and sat down on the ledge of the pool, seeing if anyone was brave enough to approach him.

  Triest's Arrival
Posted by: Triest - 06-02-2015, 07:21 PM - Forum: The Nexus - No Replies

Triest, rather ungracefully, found himself face first on the ground. He really wasn't sure why, but he did remember having this crazy dream. There was some strange being talking to him, telling him things, things that, although apparently feeling like a dream, he could still remember quite fondly. It was like one of those dreams that stick with you for days to come, as it had a feeling or message so powerful, that it was almost like it resonated with one's soul.

He propped himself up, removing his goggles to rub at his eyes before it suddenly dawned on him.

... Where the heck was he?

Where had the sands gone from his world? Forget the sand, what about the sky? The entire world looked entirely blank, and even more featureless than his own home. There was just a single thing he could see, a fountain. Conveniently he didn't wake up drowning in it, but the feeling that shot through him, he might as well have been. This was still a dream right? He gave himself a pinch.

"Ow!"

Nope, not a dream, or if it was, it was a really sick version of a simulation. He took a deep breath, and tried to remember how he'd gotten here. ... Nope, all he could recall was foggy strands, and even those he wasn't sure of. He did get the feeling though that, with time, he'd soon recall how he ended up in this mess. Well, that was harsh to say. He wasn't exactly sure what his mess is, or even if it was a mess to begin with. He felt different for one, and that being in his dream brought a few interesting points... For one, apparently he didn't have to worry about death, but on second thought, the experience of actually dying must have still been harsh. He wasn't too excited to test that theory anytime soon. Then there was this Omnillium... something he guessed, that bent the world itself. He also drew the conclusion that if he was nothing without it, then he must have some of it, or heck, made out of it.

One more question he posed to himself. Why did he interest this figure? He himself had no clue of where he was going in his life, and now this was suddenly thrusted upon him. At least now he could wander with a purpose, since he had absolutely no clue of where anything was. At all. Seriously. He couldn't even differentiate the difference between the sky and the land, if it even was land.

"Where to?" he said to himself, looking around. There were others, he began to notice. Hopefully these people were nicer than others, and wouldn't decide to immediately point a weapon in his direction if he happened to walk by. If he had some dice, he'd roll a direction and go with it, but he didn't, so instead, he just spun himself around, and started walking off in a random direction, probably about to somehow end up doing several loops before reaching anywhere important.

  DA's The Person Below You
Posted by: Sasuke Uchiha - 06-02-2015, 12:44 PM - Forum: Dante's Abyss Junkyard - Replies (2)

So, I wanna do a fun game where we talk about the player's posts, not Alex's(Most the convos are about the F2F's or EE's)

The way it works is you post a link to a post(Can be from you or another player in DA) and the person below you reads the post(If they haven't already) and gives feedback and/or discusses it.

Please try to give every post a decent amount of discussion. I don't want to set a word limit or anything, but I also don't want to see 20 words or less about it and then move on to another link, because LAME.

Since I am first, I will go first!

The Empire, and the Koopa King
Posted by: Mickey Mouse - 06-02-2015, 10:35 AM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (6)

So, the Empire seems to be out for all sorts of information they can get their hands on when it comes to growing in power, as evidenced by the Empire Faction Quest which allows Primes to volunteer to be experimented on.

My question is: how far would they go to expand their knowledge? Are they so shady that they would associate with a supposed terrorist organization if it meant they were going to have access to information or items/artefacts that would enhance their grip upon the Omniverse? I imagine they would try their best to keep such an association a secret, but nonetheless, I wanted to check and see if it was within their morals in the first place. If context matters, the group I'm imagining is a splinter group of Secondaries based on Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts.

Secondly, the way I currently have my first Super Move worded, it draws power from the yellow Kingdom Hearts, which in-canon was created by Organization XIII as a copy of the original Kingdom Hearts. The idea is that the entity is an aggregate of many hearts collected by the organization, all pooled into one great powerful thing. I'm trying to adapt this idea for the Omniverse, and this was the explanation I came up with: this group of Secondaries goes around murdering other Secondaries and extracting Omnilium from them. (Can Secondaries extract Omnilium?) This Omnilium, essentially the murdered Secondaries' life force/"heart", is then pooled together to create this big generator of power (I guess by some random, as-of-yet undecided Prime, since Secondaries can't summon) which Mickey somehow is able to tap into. Does that sound plausible?

Lastly, on a pretty much unrelated note, how difficult would it be for a PC Prime to defeat Bowser? And what is required to even get to that fight in the first place, considering he's a major NPC?
