Triest's Arrival - Triest - 06-02-2015 Triest, rather ungracefully, found himself face first on the ground. He really wasn't sure why, but he did remember having this crazy dream. There was some strange being talking to him, telling him things, things that, although apparently feeling like a dream, he could still remember quite fondly. It was like one of those dreams that stick with you for days to come, as it had a feeling or message so powerful, that it was almost like it resonated with one's soul. He propped himself up, removing his goggles to rub at his eyes before it suddenly dawned on him. ... Where the heck was he? Where had the sands gone from his world? Forget the sand, what about the sky? The entire world looked entirely blank, and even more featureless than his own home. There was just a single thing he could see, a fountain. Conveniently he didn't wake up drowning in it, but the feeling that shot through him, he might as well have been. This was still a dream right? He gave himself a pinch. "Ow!" Nope, not a dream, or if it was, it was a really sick version of a simulation. He took a deep breath, and tried to remember how he'd gotten here. ... Nope, all he could recall was foggy strands, and even those he wasn't sure of. He did get the feeling though that, with time, he'd soon recall how he ended up in this mess. Well, that was harsh to say. He wasn't exactly sure what his mess is, or even if it was a mess to begin with. He felt different for one, and that being in his dream brought a few interesting points... For one, apparently he didn't have to worry about death, but on second thought, the experience of actually dying must have still been harsh. He wasn't too excited to test that theory anytime soon. Then there was this Omnillium... something he guessed, that bent the world itself. He also drew the conclusion that if he was nothing without it, then he must have some of it, or heck, made out of it. One more question he posed to himself. Why did he interest this figure? He himself had no clue of where he was going in his life, and now this was suddenly thrusted upon him. At least now he could wander with a purpose, since he had absolutely no clue of where anything was. At all. Seriously. He couldn't even differentiate the difference between the sky and the land, if it even was land. "Where to?" he said to himself, looking around. There were others, he began to notice. Hopefully these people were nicer than others, and wouldn't decide to immediately point a weapon in his direction if he happened to walk by. If he had some dice, he'd roll a direction and go with it, but he didn't, so instead, he just spun himself around, and started walking off in a random direction, probably about to somehow end up doing several loops before reaching anywhere important. |
