  Who won E3 2015?
Posted by: Shay Cormac - 06-16-2015, 02:12 PM - Forum: The Arcade - Replies (15)

Alright, we gotta get down to talking about this whole thing, us being the nerds we are, a lot of us had to watch this.

So, guys... Who do you think won E3 this year, and why?

In my personal opinion, it had to have been Bethesda. Their first booth went off extremely well, and I was hooked all the way through. Dishonored 2 with Emily as a playable character, DOOM (in which I could not thinking about how Doomguy here was probably excited over,) and plenty of small stuff to keep the viewers through. Not only that, but... Well, to all those who haven't seen it yet, I'll let this entire video speak for you.

It has been said, that it takes 10,000 hours to perfect a craft. I'm not sure I agree or disagree, but I'd love to hear your opinions on the matter.

Does it take 10,000 hours to aspire to greatness? Or in this case, perhaps, a writing or role playing master?

Just curious as to who Alex thinks would win these "awards".

MVP (who quite simply played the game the best. Might not be the winner if bad-luck played a part)

Favorite Read (who was Alex's MUST READ writer)

Best Team

Best Solo Player

Survivor (had low HP for the longest period of time WITHOUT avoiding F2Fs)

Who SHOULD have gotten a prize, just for the sheer entertainment brought to the Abyss

And for my personal notes:

Most F2Fs

Least F2Fs

Location/Role [float=right][Image: hYK2aex.png][/float]
Most of the time she can be found in Berry Blitzkrieg, a small city state she rules over somewhere in Camelot. She plays a very active role in the community, often having a say in every facet of their town.
She is also the leader of a team of warriors called the “Anti-Evil Enforcers.” She often goes on missions, sometimes for pay, sometimes on a crusade. However, she’s pretty strongly for the persecution and execution of non-humans and often only ventures outside her homeland if it relates to that cause.

Appearance
She stands at about 3’10” and is often confused for a human child by strangers despite actually being 24-years-old of age. She has ebony dark hair and emerald green eyes. She’s often seen in a green dress with purple highlights, with a matching pair of purple shoes. She wears a tiara at the edge of her hair, but that disappears when she summons her weapon.

Personality
She’s very bubbly and outgoing, often making close friendships with her subjects. She has a fascination with the simple life and often insists that people treat her like an equal so she could live like that herself.

However, she is dead set on her goals to purge those whom she sees as evil. If you are clearly not a human, or you possess magic that you aren’t using in the crusade to destroy evil, then she takes any opportunity she’ll get to bring you down. She has a very serious disposition when she’s on the hunt and won’t hesitant to kill her targets. She’s a very strategic leader and very bold. However, she is logical of her limitations, and won’t charge into a situation she knows she can’t win.

While she has magic of her own, she’s vowed to only use it in her war against “evil.”

Story
She was born in the Berry Blitzkrieg Kingdom of her universe. Her father was King Salamander Sunshine, along with her four older sisters. Due to a birth defect, she never quite grew properly. It was because of this and the fact that she was 5th in line that she knew quite well that she would never see the throne. So she devoted her life to the combat of evil.

She joined the Anti-Evil Enforcers at the age of 16. It was there she took her vow and learned strange magics. She became quite adept at Mimic magic, which allowed her to send her opponent’s attacks right back at them. This garnered her respect as it was long believed amongst the AEE that the only way to truly fight the enemy is to become the enemy.

By the age of 22, she was high ranking; only 10 spots lower in the overall chain of command. She was leading a raid on a major Orc colony and making some really good ground.

That was when Omni snatched her.

She spent a lot of her early days in the Omniverse alone, coming to terms with the fact that she may never get home. Eventually, she found her way to Camelot. Seeing how the people of that verse would treat non-humans and magic users reminded her of her vows. This re-energized her spirit as she knew she had to save the Omniverse from itself.

She found a town of people that had been chased out by an orc invasion. With her leadership and training, she aided the people to take back the town and slaughter all the orcs. She established the town as the new Berry Blitzkrieg, and trained any volunteers as the new Anti-Evil Enforcers.

To this day, she still runs the town, occasionally traveling with her enforcers on a mission.

Information on Berry Blitzkrieg
It’s a small quaint community, looking very much like salem back in the witch trails. It has a modest population of 1,500 and is slowly growing as they gain a reputation.

Bonbon’s home, the Sunshine Castle, is located in the direct center. This is also where AEE troops are trained. It is also where her Recall Station is located.

Technology passed early 1800s America isn’t tolerated, with exception of dataverse devices which the princess sees the value of. anything else will lead to imprisonment.

There are a lot of vacant houses as a large chunk of the population left to colonize the Tangled Green. Most of them returned, but a huge percentage of the returning was executed for failing to pay taxes.

Most of the AEE soldiers have Enhanced Senses; basic, and some of the upper ranked ones have advanced or even Master. Troops regularly patrol the streets, so unless you have Suppression with really good TEC to boot, expect to be detected and scanned with insight immediately if you’re suspicious.

Anyone caught in town that clearly isn’t a human, or is using magic outside fighting evil will immediately get imprisoned. Secondaries get executed, primes get banished. The main form of execution is hanging, but they have other methods for persistent secondaries.

Berry Blitzkrieg’s alliance with Camelot is tenuous at best, the local governments only putting up with them because their AEE soldiers make great Mercenaries who often coming to aid small villages that need protection (from non-humans.) The city itself isn’t thrilled working with the faction either; their loyalty lies with the narrow minded commoners rather than the Thrall and Dumbledore loving bureaucrats.

Moves

AEE Advanced Split Bow (900) Physical Strength, Ranged Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency
The primary weapon of members of the Anti-Evil Enforcers. When not in use, it takes the form of an article of clothing of the user’s choosing. (In the case of the princess, it’s a tiara.) Whenever the weapon is needed, the article of clothing breaks down into energy and flies into her hand, forming a bow.
The bow is composed of two curved scimitars that have been painted in green and purple hues. The bow is 4.5 feet in length. The scimitars are attached by the tips of the handles which serves as the grip of the bow. It fires foot-long purple energy arrows that dissipates 1 second after it lands. The bow has a 1 second reload time.
At any point, She could separate the two scimitars and duel-wield them for melee combat. Each blade is 2 feet from the hilt, and 4 inches thick.
Also, she could cross the two blades together and charge for 3 seconds to send a 15-foot disc shaped wave of purple energy from the place she’s standing. She must be standing still to use this function.
When the weapon is no longer of used, it breaks down into energy again and flies back to its original place to be clothing again.

Ability Thief (300) Debuff Proficiency. Mimic
For the entirety of her opponent’s next post, she could block out any one power or move she could mimic. She could accomplish this through mere thought as soon as she sees the ability preformed, and it only takes 1 second to charge. This could only be used once per battle.

Justice of the Princess- Tier 1 Offensive Super Move (800)
Charging her scimitars to full blast, she unleashes a dome of pure purple energy that spreads to 15-feet in all directions.

Super Ability Thief - Tier 2 Defensive Super Move (1200) Debuff Proficiency. Mimic
This expansion of Ability Thief allows her to block a single ability for the entirety of the next round.

Anti-Evil Enforcer Tier 2 Assist (1500)
These are high ranking enforcers that have mastered the art of mimic magic as their princess has done. Because of their rank, they are not require to go in uniform, sometime choosing to wear casual clothing.

Omni was sprawled out in the Oververse, frowning before an idea popped into his head. He sat upright with a grin and he moved the clouds that lay beneath him to reveal an uninhabited island in the Vasty Deeps. He snapped his fingers and instantly the beach was filled to the brim with festivities: DJ equipment, a Tiki Bar, Surfboards, and anything a Prime could ask for. The Omnipotent being giggled before snapping again causing a giant puff of smoke to appear.

The Emperor was there in the burning sun in his black cloak, he raised his hands to cover his eyes. His eyes were panicked in confusion before Omni snapped again and a giant smile came onto his face. Palpatine started to groove and boogied up to the DJ booth where he put the headphones onto his shoulders and took a long look at the equipment before him. He stretched his hands and cracked his fingers, gazing at the large expanse of equipment before him. He took a deep breath in before his eyes grew wide.

“Execute Order 66” he grinned as he put his hands onto the records and began to drop sick beats.

Omni smiled as he looked at DJ Unlimited Power and looked towards the empty Tiki Bar. He snapped his fingers once more and a Silver man was there with the gleaming symbol of hope imprinted on his chest. Pepsiman. The Destroyer of Thirst turned to see the massive selection of liquor before using his hand to wipe it all to the floor, each bottle shattering on the ground. He replaced each one with another refreshing flavor of Pepsi.

“Much better” He cracked open a can of classic Pepsi and began to guzzle it down. He smiled and turned to the sky, almost as if he were looking at Omni. “Have some Pepsi.” He flashed a cheesy grin and gave a thumbs up.

Omni’s gaze turned to the massive body of water and snapped his fingers again. A giant, wooden lifeguard tower appeared from the sand. King Aragorn was sitting on it with his silver crown.

“What is this? Where am I?!” Omni snapped once more and the King spontaneously ripped off his clothing to reveal a white tank top and red swimming shorts. A whistle magically formed on his neck and he pulled out a pair of shades out of his pocket. He sat down upon the large tower and put the shades on vigorously looking for people out in the ocean.

Omni couldn’t help but giggle. He snapped once more and the King of the Koopas appeared in an entrance of fire and badass music, thanks to DJ Unlimited Power. He emitted a low growl but Omni had a different plan in mind. He snapped and instantly a tuxedo and a pair of shades appeared on the King of the Koopas. A large rope maze appeared and he stood at the end with a clipboard.

Omni giggled, before snapping once more. Instead, all the hippest primes from the Omniverse were teleported here.

Quote: All primes have been teleported to the Island and are now free to RP along the island. Job’s that will be coming later with be Karl refereeing the Beach Volleyball and Dracula with photo’s. Have fun.

  Alt, Alt, Alt . . .
Posted by: Deadpool - 06-15-2015, 01:40 PM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - Replies (23)

So, I'm still not sure who my alt should be. I've basically dwindled it down to these choices . . .

Thief (FF series) - I am thinking about creating my own FF world/backstory to fit how I want this character to be. Also, I'd like to experiment with 1st person writing if I choose Thief.

Wakka - (FF10) - Because Wakka is the fucking man. Nuff' said.

Aero (custom DBZ) - A guy I used to RP as back on Chubbs. I feel like there's still so much to him that I never got the chance to flesh out, but my main trouble with him is choosing what backstory I wanna give him (I have like 10 different ones I'm debating).

Orochimaru (Naruto) - Not old, weak Oro. I'm talking about maybe taking him from the time period where he was still a good guy. Or maybe even a cloned version of him.

I had a couple other characters I was juggling around in my brain, but I can't really think of them right now.

  A New Hunt
Posted by: Kurusu Akira - 06-15-2015, 01:22 PM - Forum: The Nexus - No Replies

The Victorian fountain that Dougal had found himself standing in front of, its elegant stonework making the water dance in dignified arcs, would never fit in the Yharnam he had come from. The water was still running. It wasn't the site of a burning pyre, nor was it half-smashed by wandering brick trolls. The wide expanse of white that the surrounding cobblestones gave way too was just confirmation of his suspicions. "Of course." Dougal almost jumped at his own voice; it was so rough from lack of use, the sound of it was almost foreign to him. He looked around at the surroundings. Several structures sat in the far distance, surrounding bright lights of some kind. Each one looked different. Some of them had men outside. Some did not. It seemed that Dougal was in the approximate center of all of them.

Before deciding where to go, the Hunter would check the tools of his hunt. His gun and saw spear were there. He had no idea where his other weapons had gotten to; the Blades of Mercy and the Burial Blade. He had no blood vials, but more than enough bullets. He could always make more from his own blood, if needed, but he'd prefer to not do that. Maybe he could use that Omnilium stuff to make more. That orb... it had gone inside him. Just like the Yharnam blood, though possibly on more of a symbolic than physical level. For want of a lantern, Dougal took out the mark of the Hunter and sat down next to the stately fountain, focusing upon the symbol like the flames of a Lantern. Oddly enough, he didn't feel the chill beckoning of the Dream anymore. Only the strange, almost electric prickling of that Omnilium.

"Just think of what you desire most," Omni had said. Well, Gehrman had been even more vague than Omni. He focused on the black horse he'd ridden into Yharnam, what seemed like a year ago, even though it had been far less than that. He'd been coughing and hacking the entire way, hadn't gone above a walk for fear of falling off, but he'd had a horse. He'd found its corpse shortly after awakening on the Hunt. A sphere of rainbow-colored Omnilium flickered into being, slowly stretching and growing. Dougal stared, transfixed, as the summoning continued. That was more color than he'd seen in a month; everything in Yharnam seemed to be black, grey, or bloodstained red. In five minutes time, his black horse, Shade, stood before him, saddled and proud and very much not torn into bloody strips by werewolves.

The Hunter strapped his saw spear to his back and walked over to the horse, patting him on the nose the way he knew Shade liked and talking in a soft, somewhat scratchy voice. "I've missed you, old friend." The horse seemed content to let the petting continue for a moment, and then Dougal walked to check the saddle, which he found was attached perfectly. He hopped nimbly up into the saddle and took the reins, gently nudging Shade forward towards the gate of grey stone and deep green moss. Familiarity had an attraction all its own, and if he was simply in some evolution of the Hunter's Dream, brought about by that chalice, best he figured it out now rather than later.
