  Vi
Posted by: Proto Man - 06-26-2015, 08:22 AM - Forum: Empire NPCs - No Replies

[float=right][Image: juftk_Y7xKA.jpg][/float]Location/Role – Vi is the ‘Enforcer of Costa del Sol.’ While she doesn’t necessarily agree with many of the decisions made in Coruscant, she dedicates herself to ensuring that Costa del Sol remains a lawful and pleasant place for both travelers and its native inhabitants. In that capacity, she is a fusion of an executive and a police chief, and while she is beholden to a group of oligarchs with deep connections to the Imperial bureaucracy and the Imperial Navy, it is through Vi’s endless will and dedication to her job that keeps the city a well-oiled machine.

History – Vi came from a world of violence and wonder called Runeterra. With a knack for mechanics, the young girl came of age in the harsh environment of Piltover, a town not unlike Costa del Sol. When she was only six years old, Vi was taken into a criminal organization, and within five years, she was a full-fledged accomplice that reveled in the thrill and excitement.

Her disposition changed one day when she was part of a raid on a mining facility. Part of the mine collapsed, and Vi was left with the option of escaping or saving the trapped workers. The decision she made that day put her on a vastly different track in her life. Ripping the hands from an automated digging machine, she stitched together a device that let her wear them like gloves, and she proceeded to smash a way out for herself and the workers.

After that, Vi left the crime syndicate, and while she continued to commit crimes, she only perpetrated them against other criminals, using her now hextech-infused gauntlets. Word of her actions reached the Sheriff of Piltover, who recruited Vi as an ally rather than seek her arrest. Vi accepted, believing that the ability to beat up criminals without having to flee the police sounded like a great idea. The two worked together, although they didn’t have the most stable relationship (with Vi viewing the sheriff’s orders as little more than ‘instructions’).

At some point, Vi was pulled into the Omniverse. Although some disorientation remained, she soon regained her bearings, summoned her gauntlets, and headed for the first sign of civilization. She found herself in Coruscant, and while she was a bit overwhelmed by the futuristic city, she eventually made it down to tiers that more closely resembled her home. Once there, she established herself as a sort of community enforcer. Crime rates in the district where Vi lived dropped from 60% to 5% in the span of a few months.

The Empire took notice and offered the woman a job working for security on the top tiers, which placed Vi a few rungs under Judge Dredd. After a short while, it became clear that the woman’s brash, smash-mouthed style didn’t blend well with the image that the Imperial forces wanted to convey. Vi was then transferred to the Vasty Deep, where she could still do some good without causing any public relations’ nightmares.

At Costa del Sol, Vi quickly blended into the more open and abrasive culture of the tropical Imperial city. Despite having no real desire to be in charge (she just likes to beat up people, really), Vi wound up out-living or out-performing many of her superiors. Within two years, she was the senior-most member of Costa del Sol’s police/protection force. Her presence helped to smooth out many of the more unsavory elements of the city, and while Vi herself doesn’t buy into all of the Empire’s ideals, she plays her part to keep the city safe from criminals. In recognition of her performance, the council of businessmen and oligarchs that dictates policy in Costa del Sol named her its ‘Enforcer,’ granting her vast executive powers. Those who want to start trouble in the Empire’s tropical citadel will have to deal with Vi and her fists.

As Vi would say – “Punch first and ask questions while punching.”

  Pepsiman
Posted by: Proto Man - 06-26-2015, 08:21 AM - Forum: Empire NPCs - No Replies

Location/Role: Pepsiman roams throughout the various verses providing refreshments to the residents of the Omniverse. Pepsi products only, thank you very much. He can often be found at big events to make sure Primes and Secondaries alike enjoy the benefits of his company's products. He's also been known to pop up at PepsiCOs offices on the Second Tier of Coruscant, and their regional facility in Costa del Sol.

Personality: Pepsi-man's personality is very bland; most of his dialogue revolves around Pepsi, and the urge to obtain as much as possible. He also loves helping others stay hydrated (once again, particularly with Pepsi products).

Story: Pepsiman was pulled into the Omniverse shortly before Karl Jak revealed the Dante Verse and his upcoming reality competition, Dante's Abyss. He wandered throughout the Nexus, relishing in the opportunity to summon Pepsi products at will and provide lost, hopeless primes with refreshment immediately upon their entrance into the Omniverse.

When word of his reputation and chiseled physique reached Karl Jak, the greasy-haired producer thought it the perfect opportunity to fill one of the open slots in his roster and contracted Pepsiman to compete in Dante's Abyss in exchange for plastering his brand logo all over the tournament. The mascot had no idea what he was getting into, however, and his nonviolent nature made him an ill fit for the competition; he survived well into the mid-stages of it, however, thanks to a fortuitous alliance with good-natured primes Samus Aran, Harry Dresden, Mickey Mouse, and Erza Scarlet. However, even they couldn't protect him long, and eventually he was eliminated.

Freed of Dante's Abyss, Pepsiman quickly made his way for more peaceful pastures. However, during the competition he became something of a fan favorite, and his new celebrity status affords him the opportunity to appear as a special guest at various functions throughout the Omniverse, where he continues to pursue his mission of making sure everyone in the Omniverse is adequately hydrated.

  Secondary Void Saga Interest Check
Posted by: Strazio Rockwell - 06-25-2015, 10:32 PM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - Replies (127)

Hey there everyone!

So as the name implies Gildarts and I were planning on running a saga based around the newly introduced void quests.

The idea behind the saga is that we would all play secondaries who would band together in a search of Omni. Ideally I would want the saga to focus on character development and the discovery associated with some of the more unknown parts of the Omniverse rather than being a combat slog. Now naturally since these quests would be incredibly dangerous, especially to secondaries who only have one life so to speak, not all of us will make it, hell maybe none of us will make it. I've already ran the rough idea through Omni and he's given me the greenlight to go ahead and flesh the idea out. Now hopefully I can get some staff-assistance to help run this and to potentially help arbitrate who lives and who dies in dicey situations.

As for which void quest we would attempt, I was thinking the one in the Tangled Greens would be the best. But I am open to suggestions and thoughts.

At any rate, let me know if you guys are interested and I'll add you to the list.

  FIght/RosterUpdating question...
Posted by: Retane - 06-25-2015, 10:26 PM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (10)

Okay I read a fight recently. It is still on going. I went to look at a roster in the fight, and  It is pretty basic hasn't been updated in like 2 years(I just looked at last updated year). Only has two moves. No descrptions of those moves below or anytihng.

Isn't it our responsiblity to keep our Rosters updated? It is a prepresentation of our current Stat Sheet right?

If I entered a fight with an outdated Roster, say I entered it with 3k worth of Moves/Powers/Profs in my Purchase  Log....  But not in my Character log...

How does that work? Does that mean I can jip someone of knowledge of what I can do? Hell I could even have a few stat purchases or banishing circles I bought but never updated. Would that be fair?

I can understand  buying a  move  in the middle of a fight and using it as long as everything is updated. before you use it....

I just need some answers on this one...

  Minato Arrives
Posted by: Minato Namikaze - 06-25-2015, 04:17 AM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (1)

‘If I had any regrets… It would be that I won’t see Naruto Grow up.’ Kushina coughed as the dried blood on her mouth and chin cracked a little, the sound of Naruto’s infant cries echoed throughout the field. Minato stood there for a second, looking down at Naruto, silence was all he could muster as an Idea formed in his mind.

‘Kushina… You don’t need to take the fox down with you. We can use our last bit of chakra to see Naruto one last time.’ Minato said as tears streamed from his eyes. Kushina looked at him with a look of confusion as he wiped the tears from his eyes and prepared his plan. It was at this moment that Kusina realized what Minato was talking about.

‘But that… The user will be killed!’ Kushina exclaimed out of desperation to conserve both of their lives. But it was no use, he had already made up his mind and this was the only way to save his son and the village at the same time.

‘I’ll only be able to seal half of the Fox’s power… It’s just too great to completely seal it all.’ Minato began as he stared at Kushina with a reassuring look.

‘I can’t let the Nine Tails be revived without a Jinjuriki. The balance of Tailed Beasts will be destroyed. But with this seal, I can seal half of it within myself, and the remaining half… Inside of Naruto.’ Minato explained as Kushina looked at him with a look or exasperation and worry. It was a rash plan, something he hadn’t been able to think through, at least… not think it through fully. Minato knew this but was willing to trust his son anyway, he knew that Naruto was the child of Prophecy that his mentor, Jiraiya, had spoken about.

‘I know what you want to say… But Jiraiya spoke of the world undergoing a revolution, and with it, a great disaster. Tonight I’ve confirmed two things. The first is that a masked man, the one who attacked you… He is the harbinger of that disaster.’ Minato began as he exchanged looks with Kushina. A look that told her Naruto was this world’s Saviour, a look that told her everything will be alright.

‘And Naruto will be the one to stop him. The jinjuriki who will blaze the trail to the future. I just know it…’ Minato said as Kushina tried her hand at a second attempt to stop minato. But it was no use, he had already began his preparations by placing Naruto on the floor.

‘Have a little faith! He is our son after all!’ The Hokage exclaimed as the image of a skeleton like Grim Reaper appeared behind him, wildly spikey and long hair fell down from its head and wrapped itself around the arms of a chakra figure. Minato had begun the sealing process, a process he and his wife would not survive.

Darkness followed the sealing, he remembered Kushina joining him in his jutsu, sealing just enough of their own remaining chakra within Naruto so that they may help him one day. But this darkness was different to what he had felt moments after the sealing process.
‘Is this… death?’ Minato thought to himself as he found that he was unable to speak. He didn’t feel dead, in fact, he felt just as alive as he had earlier that morning before everything had gone wrong.

‘Am… Am I alive!?’ Minato thought to himself as a feeling of disbelief and regret filled his every muscle. His body had been overcome by a feeling of regret as he realized that he may never see Either Kushina or his Child again. As he fought back a torrent of tears and sobs, Minato noticed a ball of light appear in front of him. From this ball a white silhouette materialized itself, Minato tried to say something, but found himself forgetting that he could not speak. The being seemed to answer all the questions he had wanted to ask.

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”
Omni started as he handed Minato a glimmering ball of coalescing, rainbow-like, colours. As he touched the orb, it absorbed itself into his body, leaving him with a slight warm sensation before returning to normal.

Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.”

Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.”

Quote:“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
The being finished his monologue and then Vanished, leaving Minato to himself.

Before Minato could even take a breath, he found himself kneeling on the ground within a white world. The sky and the horizon connected as if they were part of the same object. Minato looked around to find himself sitting in front of a fountain. The water was cold to the touch and this confused him, he felt no air blow through this white void, so how could the water be cold? Minato dried his hand off and took another look around the area. He found himself staring at a strange, pink, being.

‘Hello?’ Minato asked as he found himself lacking anything else to say. Hopefully this pink creature spoke English, or –at the very least – understood it.

  Fowndan o' Imfimindy!
Posted by: Kirby - 06-25-2015, 02:47 AM - Forum: The Nexus - No Replies

Shwoooomm.

Faring an eternal sea of glittered oblivion within the comfort of his itsy-bitsy starship, Kirby galavanted from one civilization to another, savoring a smorgasbord of scrumptious treats as offerings for the gumball's legionnaire services. Ya' know the typical regiment, beating up baddies and mucking up sinister plots, pulverizing final bosses– all that good guy jazz.

The creampuff hadn't a morsel of cavil nor discontent, living the dream in celestial paradise. He was infamous across the boundless plains as an esteemed star warrior, sated by all the strawberry shortcake the plushy glutton could vacuum up, the limitations of which were never even scratched at.

The pink ovoid forged innumerable fated friendships along his journey throughout the twinkling macrocosm, ones he would cherish forev– erm, well, for as long as his sporadic attention span permitted: about a week tops. Can't expect him to remember every lad and lassie, every damsel and delinquent, other gender-oriented synonyms.

'Course, all good things must come to an end, I s'pose. Kirby overheard a village elder surmise in passing such a phrase once. How bogus and cliché! Though an idiom that came to fruition nonetheless.

I'll spare you the insipid deets, but in a nutshell our lovable dream lander was drifting through the infinite black in his pocket-sized cruiser, about to engage warp drive in response to an emergency beacon when his course spontaneously locked, seized by a mischievous force. Try as he might, the creampuff slapped at panel knobs and twisted switch keys at random, utterly failing to alter his fixed trajectory. He barely understood the functions anyway, let's be real.

"Waaaaahhh!" The inflated stress-ball wailed as his vessel careened toward a translucent void, drawing him in like a suction. Quite ironic, as countless enemies had been inhaled by Kirby in a similar manner time and time again.

Vvwooosh!

Purging out from a swelled maw of luminescence, Kirby crash-landed against terrain as white as whipped cream. Departing the busted craft with a less-than-elegant rolling tumble, the galactic soldier poked his chin whilst scanning the expansive backdrop.

A whole bunch of nothing, nada, zilch. A blank canvas of unreality. If the marshmallow garnered any knowledge of an afterlife, he would've presumed to have kicked the bucket!

A gushing wellspring in the distance caught his beady peepers, soliciting the round moppet to saunter forth. Evidently, his mangled space-treader was old news. Waterspouts are far more important, without a doubt.

Approaching the intricate fountain of splayed hydrous, Kirby's newfangled memory lapse filled with recollection like a vat of jelly squeezed into a hollowed doughnut. In the midst of traversing to this mystery realm, an odd, equally ambiguous fellow materialized before him.

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it."

Poyyy? . . . The creampuff murmured within the confines of his mind, confused and aghast, unable to speak outright. Just who or what in sam heck was this porcelains-skinned creature? Having the gall to show up unannounced like he owns the place!

Quote:"The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Puyo puyo!! Kirby quipped in riposte, his tone blooming with aggression at being unheard. This bald, prepubescent goober was informing him of stuff, but not telling him what he needed to know!

Omni, as he donned himself, handed the star warrior a glimmering orb in which all the colorants of the spectrum coalesced, not all that dissimilar from copious elements the pink puff had stumbled across during his escapades.

Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."

Om . . nom-nillimum . . The dream-lander stammered, adorably trying to pronounce such a phonetic term in his vast and otherwise empty head. Instinctively, he shoveled it into his muncher and gulped it down, absorbing the offering's essence.

Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

With parting words, the supreme diviner confirmed and quelled the puffball's quandary. Kirby was in fact still a living, breathing, sucking machine. Phew, what a relief! Though, clearly he'd been conjured to a capacious dominion separate from his own.

The cavorting marshmallow was stranded abroad, smack dab in the center of a wacky new world! Exploration! Adventure! Cake! Dang it, they'd better have cake!

  Kathin Harmony joining in
Posted by: Guest - 06-24-2015, 11:53 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (12)

Name:Kathin Harmony

Character source:original

Character history:Kathin was born on a planet much like earth called Cathain but the planets had one drastic difference. This planet had no technology instead the people were skilled in magic but their world wouldn't last much longer. A dark force came to their world and started devouring the very life force of the planet. The people's magic had no effect on the force so the people of the planet quickly lost all hope. Kathin was only a couple months old when this force started destroying his world. He became the only hope for his world because his mother had the gift of foresight and saw that Kathin would one day be able to stop the force. So with the last of their power they cast a spell that sent Kathin to a planet much like theirs. They called this planet Athairya or as you know it as Earth. Before he was sent to Earth his mother gave him her magic gloves to protect him and even though he would have no memory of her, his world, or the power he holds inside she knew one day he would save his new home.
Kathin landed on Earth and was found by the family that raised him but they tried to hide the weird magic that he seemed to possess. When he became fifteen his powers grew stronger and they were impossible for them to hide from him. They told him how they found him in the park with his mother's gloves a strange paper that told them about his world. He was shocked but had no time to explore his new found powers because the force that destroyed his world had finally found him. The technology on Earth seemed to weaken the force in some strange way so it could not devour Earth like it did to Cathain it had to find a human to control to feed him. Kathin had to use his new found powers and his mothers gloves to save Earth and the ones he loves.
After destroying the force Kathin was cursed because the dark forces very essence entered his body so for one day a month the dark force takes him over and he destroys everything in his sight. A couple days after the big fight was when Omni took him from Earth. Kathin didn't like the feeling he got from Omni it felt just like the power of the dark force except more bent on creation than destruction but creation can be just as bad as destruction and sometimes even worse.

Physical description:Kathin is 15 years of age and looks humanoid. He has tan skin with brown nappy hair. His eyes are grey and can change colors based on his mood. He always wears his two red leather gloves with amethyst gems on the knuckles. He wears a grey t-shirt, a red jacket with silver outlining, baggy blue jeans and white and red Nikes with silver laces.

A yellow and blue shock wave of lightning that is fired from the palms of Kathin's hands. The energy for the shock wave comes from the sapphire gems on Kathin's mother's gloves. This shock wave can be fired in a second and has a wide range of attack. It can be controlled from a far distance if Kathin is stationary. When a person is hit with the shock wave their body feels numb for a second then a huge surge or pain goes through their body.

Cat was curled up by the fountain, although it didn't really look like one. It looked like some kind of pool now. She'd been lying on the ground next to it for at least an hour now, sobbing continuously until just a few moments ago when she'd run out of tears to shed. Her cheeks were damp and so was the ground beneath her head, and she sniffled often. People walked around her, most ignoring her or giving odd glances and moving on. Not that Cat really noticed. She wasn't looking up at all, more concerned about remembering.
Only three letters were remembered, K, A, T. Cat. That was all that was left of her name, or all that her name was. She didn't know. She didn't know if she had a family, or a home, or if this fountain was home. Cat itched at her wrists absentmindedly, fingernails dragging across fading scars from where she had scratched too much and peeled away the skin. At least, it appeared to be the cause as she continued making new scratches and peeling more skin. It wasn't until it caused sharp pains in her wrist that she stopped scratching. Oops. some scratches were bleeding slightly, while the rest were just missing a few layers of skin. Oh well. It'll heal.
The young girl shifted and rolled over so her back was facing the unknown world. She closed her eyes, trying her hardest not to cry but failing as choked sobs escaped her chest. I'll die here won't I... Alone in a foreign place that's too scary for me to go out in. I don't want to find a way out. I want to go home. It can't be a nightmare, it's too real. I want to go home... wherever home is...

  Deanmon rising.
Posted by: Dean Winchester - 06-24-2015, 09:52 PM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (4)

Quote:
Listen to me Dean Winchester, what you're feeling right now is not death, it's life. A new kind of life. Open your eyes Dean, see what I see, feel what I feel. Let's go take a howl at that moon“

After Crowley had spoken these words Dean opened his eyes and sat up. His once green eyes where now completely black, as if they were now made of polished onyx. This slowly faded away leaving his eyes looking like the normally would. He felt different, a good sort of different though. The rage and the mark where still there but this time it felt good. He wanted to give in to it and let his wild side out. Getting up from the bed he looked over at Crowley and grinned.

“Sure, why the hell not...”

Picking up a pen and finding a scrap of paper Dean left a message, more a warning really, for Sam before grabbing the keys to the Impala and heading for the door.

.......

Quote:My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse.

Dean woke up next to a fountain after one of the strangest conversations of his life, and his life was plenty strange as is. Something god like calling itself Omni going on about being interesting and some weird metal sphere and he should collect them all or some crap like that. The part about not fearing death made Dean laugh a bit. He had died so many times that it didn't really matter to him now. He had seen heaven, hell, and even spent some time in Purgatory. This place could throw whatever it wanted at him.

Looking about he saw that things here seemed to be pretty boring actually. Everything was white, there was a fountain, and that was about it. Whoever designed this place needed to either be fired or shot. There were other people about but most seemed to be doing there own thing or just ignoring him and this suited Dean just fine. Reaching down he gripped the hilt of the first blade to make sure he still had it with him. He inhaled sharply as he felt the rage flowing through his veins. Didn't that Omni thing say he could basically do what he wished here? This was going to be fun....

What was it that Crowley had said to him last? Oh right, take a howl at the moon. Time for this demon to prowl. Stepping away from the fountain Dean headed into the white expanses quietly singing 'Bark at the moon'.
