Minato Arrives
#1
‘If I had any regrets… It would be that I won’t see Naruto Grow up.’ Kushina coughed as the dried blood on her mouth and chin cracked a little, the sound of Naruto’s infant cries echoed throughout the field. Minato stood there for a second, looking down at Naruto, silence was all he could muster as an Idea formed in his mind.

‘Kushina… You don’t need to take the fox down with you. We can use our last bit of chakra to see Naruto one last time.’ Minato said as tears streamed from his eyes. Kushina looked at him with a look of confusion as he wiped the tears from his eyes and prepared his plan. It was at this moment that Kusina realized what Minato was talking about.

‘But that… The user will be killed!’ Kushina exclaimed out of desperation to conserve both of their lives. But it was no use, he had already made up his mind and this was the only way to save his son and the village at the same time.

‘I’ll only be able to seal half of the Fox’s power… It’s just too great to completely seal it all.’ Minato began as he stared at Kushina with a reassuring look.

‘I can’t let the Nine Tails be revived without a Jinjuriki. The balance of Tailed Beasts will be destroyed. But with this seal, I can seal half of it within myself, and the remaining half… Inside of Naruto.’ Minato explained as Kushina looked at him with a look or exasperation and worry. It was a rash plan, something he hadn’t been able to think through, at least… not think it through fully. Minato knew this but was willing to trust his son anyway, he knew that Naruto was the child of Prophecy that his mentor, Jiraiya, had spoken about.

‘I know what you want to say… But Jiraiya spoke of the world undergoing a revolution, and with it, a great disaster. Tonight I’ve confirmed two things. The first is that a masked man, the one who attacked you… He is the harbinger of that disaster.’ Minato began as he exchanged looks with Kushina. A look that told her Naruto was this world’s Saviour, a look that told her everything will be alright.

‘And Naruto will be the one to stop him. The jinjuriki who will blaze the trail to the future. I just know it…’ Minato said as Kushina tried her hand at a second attempt to stop minato. But it was no use, he had already began his preparations by placing Naruto on the floor.

‘Have a little faith! He is our son after all!’ The Hokage exclaimed as the image of a skeleton like Grim Reaper appeared behind him, wildly spikey and long hair fell down from its head and wrapped itself around the arms of a chakra figure. Minato had begun the sealing process, a process he and his wife would not survive.

Darkness followed the sealing, he remembered Kushina joining him in his jutsu, sealing just enough of their own remaining chakra within Naruto so that they may help him one day. But this darkness was different to what he had felt moments after the sealing process.
‘Is this… death?’ Minato thought to himself as he found that he was unable to speak. He didn’t feel dead, in fact, he felt just as alive as he had earlier that morning before everything had gone wrong.

‘Am… Am I alive!?’ Minato thought to himself as a feeling of disbelief and regret filled his every muscle. His body had been overcome by a feeling of regret as he realized that he may never see Either Kushina or his Child again. As he fought back a torrent of tears and sobs, Minato noticed a ball of light appear in front of him. From this ball a white silhouette materialized itself, Minato tried to say something, but found himself forgetting that he could not speak. The being seemed to answer all the questions he had wanted to ask.

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”
Omni started as he handed Minato a glimmering ball of coalescing, rainbow-like, colours. As he touched the orb, it absorbed itself into his body, leaving him with a slight warm sensation before returning to normal.

Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.”

Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.”

Quote:“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
The being finished his monologue and then Vanished, leaving Minato to himself.

Before Minato could even take a breath, he found himself kneeling on the ground within a white world. The sky and the horizon connected as if they were part of the same object. Minato looked around to find himself sitting in front of a fountain. The water was cold to the touch and this confused him, he felt no air blow through this white void, so how could the water be cold? Minato dried his hand off and took another look around the area. He found himself staring at a strange, pink, being.

‘Hello?’ Minato asked as he found himself lacking anything else to say. Hopefully this pink creature spoke English, or –at the very least – understood it.

Minato stood there as the strange pink creature completely ignored him. Minato wasn’t overly surprised of this though, besides, it didn’t exactly look like this creature had ears. it probably couldn’t even hear him. Minato placed his hands on his hips and let out a large, disappointed sigh as he turned away from the creature. He didn’t know where to go, he didn’t even know what sort of dimension he was in. Minato looked out into the white void, the only indication of a separation between the sky and the ground were what seemed like small objects sitting on the horizon. Minato checked himself over, her still had his usual outfit on.

‘What a relief. None of my injuries are here.’ Minato exhaled in relief as he reaffirmed his conclusion, he was whole, and he felt better than ever. But something felt wrong, he felt limited, as if his power had been contained. Minato held up his hand and began to gather and rotate chakra. A bright blue, palm sized, orb of swirling chakra formed in his hand. Minato smiled in relief as he looked at his own technique.

‘It looks like I can’t… increase it’s size...’ Minato struggled to say as he felt the drain on his chakra as his attempt to increase the size of the Rasengan. Minato let the move dissipate as he dropped his hand. His suspicion was right, he had been given limits, his abilities had been taken… or locked away, most likely by that white being that had brought him here.
‘But what is his game…?’ Minato pondered as he scratched his golden blond hair. Minato looked up, the objects on the horizon still stood there, but minato couldn’t make out what they were.

‘Well… I’ve got nothing better to do.’ Minato sighed as he turned to face one of the objects. This was where he was headed. He’d chosen one at random, seemed as good an idea as anything else. After all, there wasn’t much to do in this white void. Minato lifted his hand to his bangs, brushed them around for a second, and then repositioned his forehead protector. Minato’s face changed from bored to determined as his hand dropped past his face. He was a hokage, but he enjoyed a challenge, and this new world definitely seemed like a new challenge.
‘Time to go.’ Minato smiled as he began running.
