Kakashi’s world went dark as the raging sorcerer’s blast tore into his exposed chest, the violent energy searing into and through his flesh, devouring both muscle and bone alike. What semblance of vigor he had had was wiped away by the maelstrom of plasma the mage had delivered, leaving his battered body to slump down into the venomous mire. The shinobi’s muscles ceased to hold tension, his chokuto sliding from his grip to meet him in the toxic sea. Blood intermingled with the caustic chemicals as officials made their way into the arena. The victor had been crowned, now there was only to scrape up the defeated.
“The winner...Strazio Rockwell!” The magically enhanced voice of the Colosseum commentator boom through the arena, his thunderous announcement barely audible over the cacophony of cheering spectators. The battlemage made no sign of acknowledgment, trudging slowly toward his exit.
Though the Sharingan-wielder’s consciousness had slipped away, his body had refused to relent. He disciplined organs, despite their obvious impairments, continued to chug along without Hatake’s say, though with significant effort.. The lavender muck slowly drained from the arena, receding away from the scarecrow’s now emaciated form. Prolonged exposure to the dark magic had drawn the vitality straight from his tissue, his skin now tight and leathery against his mangled muscles and broken bones. Few in the stands presumed the man would live to fight another day.
From the lip of the ravine, the crew that comprised the Colosseum’s medical team got to work on their task. Their long beige cloaks parted as withered hands extended, clutching various enchanted totems, their dry lips muttering ancient words. Without delay the broken warrior’s limp body ascended from what remained of the poisonous goo, suspended by unseen hands. The sages continued their ritual as the scarecrow’s dead weight hovered toward them, finally clearing the edge of the pit some moments later. The handful of wizards exchanged muttered words before ushering their find into the infirmary.

Bat, bat, bat…
What?
Bat, bat, bat...
But where…?
“Hey.”
The silver-haired struggled against fatigue and confusion as he ascended from unconsciousness. Swaddled in rough sheets atop a meager cot in the facility’s dirty medical ward, the shinobi had seen better days. His muscles scarcely followed his brain’s commands, barely able to roll the man’s head away from the sensation.
Bat, bat, bat…
“C’mon. Wake up.”
Kakashi’s weakened body struggled in vain against the 5 pounds of canine that sat atop his chest. Try as he might, he was unable to avoid the creature’s assault on his face.
Bat, bat, bat...
“Kakashi. Open your eyes.”
With what felt like enormous effort the shinobi peeled his eyelids apart, his tired eyes failing to do their sole job. A muddy sea of color swirled above him as his pupils shrank to blot out what meager light had passed though the pair of grimy windows above his cot. It would be nearly two minutes before the ninja’s optics could recognize the stoic face of Pakkun hovering over him.
“Glad to see you’re up,” his canine companion muttered. “Was worried about you for a while. You’ve been out for nearly two weeks now.”
“Wha…” Hatake rasped in response, his lungs struggling against the miniature pug’s meager weight.
“Fenrir came back to Mokugakure after your match finished,” Pakkun explained, hopping from the swordsman’s chest onto a nearby chair. “He didn’t see you until after they’d brought you out, but from what I gathered it didn’t go as you’d hoped.”
Kakashi raised a hand to his face, his sore muscles fighting him every step of the way. He gazed upon the pale extremity for a moment, attempting to recall the harrowing battle amidst the miasma. Though not all of his memories filtered through, he could grasp enough to affirm the miniature pug’s assumption. “Not exactly.”
Pakkun nodded sympathetically. “Regardless, I’m glad to see that you’re still with us. The boys and I were worried.”
Hatake lowered his arm, laboriously pushing himself into a seated position. His eyes were finally managing to reach an acceptable level of focus. “Thanks,” he replied simply, glancing out the smoky window.
“Anyway, I’ll head back to the village now and fill the Morikage in on your mission. Rest for a while. Fenrir is waiting for you outside when you’re feeling strong enough.” Kakashi nodded in response before the pug vanished in a puff of smoke.
With a sigh, the scarecrow turned his attention back to his shaking hands. He hadn’t a doubt in his mind that he should have perished in the arena. He had come close to death in the Land of Fire with much injuries. Was his survival a consequence of his ‘Prime-hood’, or perhaps Omni intervening? The shinobi swordsman could only speculate as he stared through the murky window at the setting sun.

You know, I feel it troubling to see the how things are being discussed in some cases around the site as of recent. It seems that more often than not, anyone who expresses a desires to discuss and question the way something functions seems to be shut down very quickly at the hands of some who hold a position of power within the site.
Examples of this being the recent discussion on Water Walking, as well as the whole "Clone Debacle".
It confuses me as to why, when presented with questions about how and why something works the way it does, and question of if it's something that should be considered for change, that said questions are met with harsh responses that reduce down to "This is the way it works period." Shouldn't they instead be met with deliberation on said question(s) merits and, based on its weight relative to the site and it's workings, if there is in fact something that needs changing?
An example of this in action would be the discussion on Time Manipulation that resulted in it's price reduction.
In that case, things were actively discussed and supported with facts, theories, and then accompanied by proposed ideas. This, i believe, should be the way things are handled when it comes to discussion of site and rule functions and the potential change thereof.
The general attitude, I feel, that is held by a number of individuals with power is this;
that they more seem to enforce the rules, rather than seek to consider every angle presented by those that may question it in an intelligent manner. And that anyone who would question the way things work is one who is trying to break or stretch the rules. More often than not, those who question these things are not blatantly trying to bend the rules to favor them, but instead see how far they can take the tools that have been given, and what they can do with them. And isnt that the kind of creative skills that we as writers pride ourselves in nurturing?
Now, no where among these questions and statements do i mean to point fingers, seek revenge for any ruling that may have affected myself in anyway, or say that the staff as a whole is anything but the most helpful and respectful they can be, but instead to hopefully bring to light what seems to be a vast miscommunication and general misplaced attitude that often arises between those that question the system for the better, and those that must abide by it as per their job.
There is always room for improvement in any system, any while I make no accusations as to the worth of the systems we have in place now, I ask this; we have come together to effect change of these systems for the betterment of the site before, so why shouldn't we continue to ponder its could-be faults, and its might-be improvements.
Thank you for your time and i hope any who respond would do so with respect and an intellectual process of thought.

Character Name: Amaterasu
Source: Okami (game)
History:
The story begins some 100 years before Amaterasu’s coming, in Kamiki Village. This small town was ruled by an eight-headed snake demon named Orochi, who once a year claimed a sacrifice: a black arrow was fired from the cave it rested in, and the maiden upon whose house it landed had to be sacrificed to Orochi. Should the villagers not meet these demands, Orochi would devour them all.
Shiranui, a pure white wolf, and Nagi, a swordsman, battled Orochi to save a maiden named Nami, Nagi's beloved. However they found themselves unable to defeat the demon, and instead had to seal it away.
100 years in the future, Susano, a descendant of Nagi, broke Orochi's seal due to believing the legend to be a fake, allowing the snake to escape and curse the lands.
It was then that Sakuya, the guardian sprite of Kamiki Village, summoned Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess, which the villagers knew as the reincarnation of Shiranui, into a statue of Shiranui which subsequently became alive, and asked for her aid to remove Orochi’s curse. Amaterasu, currently in wolf form and equipped with only a basic mirror given to her by Sakuya, embarked on a lengthy journey thereafter, battling countless demons drawn forth by the curse upon the lands, and gradually forcing it back.
However, the Sun Goddess was only a shadow of her former self, having lost her divine weapons and the so-called Celestial Brush techniques, which allowed her to combat her enemies and manipulate the lands around her by drawing objects into it. Throughout her journey, Amaterasu sought to recover these items and techniques by freeing the Celestial Brush Gods from their imprisonment and having them re-teach her the techniques she had once known.
Eventually, Amaterasu, along with Susano, encountered Orochi once again to protect Kamiki Village and rescue Susano's beloved, Kushi, recreating events that had taken place 100 years prior. This time however, the duo defeated Orochi entirely - only to find out that it was part of a greater evil, and the evil spirit that had occupied its body escaped them, flying away.
Amaterasu then embarked on a journey across Nippon (the region within Japan where the events took place), continuing to remove Orochi's still lingering curse on the land and defeating other powerful demons which each released dark presences similar to Orochi’s, floating northward. Following these spirits, Amaterasu eventually came across the wreckage of a gigantic ship able to travel through the stars: the "Ark of Yamato". She found out that this Ark had been given to the Celestial Gods, who had used it to escape from Orochi when he had attacked the Celestial Plain. However, the Ark was in truth housing a great number of demons and the Celestial Gods were unaware of this when they used the Ark to escape. As they were sailing the skies they were attacked by the demons, which consumed almost all the spirits on the Ark and caused it to crash into Earth, where it had stayed until then.
It was then that Yami, the demon controlling all the demons on the Ark, appeared and attacked Amaterasu and struck her down, robbing her of all powers and preparing to deal the final blow. Being a goddess however, Amaterasu thrived on the prayers and faith of the people who she had freed during her journey, people who prayed for the Sun Goddess to rid them of the evil that came from the Ark.
In a flash of blinding sunlight, Amaterasu then ascended and returned to her real human form whilst not only regaining the powers she had been stripped from by Yami, but restoring them to their full strength. She fiercely battled Yami and eventually struck him down in turn, defeating him once and for all and thereby ridding the world of the demons, though some remain to this day.
Amaterasu then retrieved the remaining Celestial Gods and brought them aboard the Ark of Yamato to sail back to the Celestial Plain. They sailed off into the sky, leaving the world behind.
But the Sun Goddess never arrived home.
Physical Description:
![[Image: 19-ama03.jpg]](http://lparchive.org/Okami/Fanart%202/19-ama03.jpg)
Amaterasu takes the shape of a human woman with her white hair shaped into the ears of a wolf above her head. She wears a white and red robe similar to that of a shrine maiden, with wide sleeves and sufficient cleavage to show the red tattoo on her shoulders. In addition she wears tights made of red leather, and walks barefoot.
She owns a Prayer Bead chain which she usually wears around her waist, though if she uses it to pray she will put it around her neck instead.
Her eyes are very deep blue, to the point that they get mistaken for black instead.
Her shoulders, back and forehead have red markings on them which give away her deity status to those who know what they stand for.
Stats: (1.000)
ATK: 3
DEF: 0 => 1
SPD: 3
TEC: 4
Stat Upgrade: 1.000
Proficiencies: 1.600
Ranged Prof. (1.000)
Remote Control (600)
Powers: 900 OM
Master Acrobat (400)
Adv. Super Jumping (500)
Moves: (600)
Prayer Bead Chain (Ranged, Rem. Control) (600 OM)
Amaterasu is able to use the Prayer Bead chain which she usually wears on her belt or neck, in combat. While it is not as powerful as an actual weapon or even her powers as a goddess, it is an effective means for her to fight to some degree. While in use, the beads hover around her at waist height, slowly rotating until Amaterasu uses them.
Offense: By thrusting her palm forward Amaterasu then sends one of the beads flying forward in a straight line, at a rate of around one bead per second (1 bead per 2 seconds if she can’t use one of her hands, 1 bead per 4 seconds if both hands are disabled). She can not control their trajectory after launching them.
NOTE: This is just a vague reference. The fire rate and looks are different, and Amaterasu cannot “charge” up to fire multiple beads at once.
Defense: Alternatively to using them as an offensive weapon, Amaterasu can also use the beads to intercept enemy attacks to weaken or stop them, though she cannot make a “barrier” with multiple beads this way. They can take one or two attacks before breaking. Again, movement speed is around the same as an arrow, though they will remain stationary, floating in the air, until recalled.
Amaterasu must have the bead in question floating around her waist in order to use it for either offensive or defensive purposes, she cannot have them fluctuate between offensive and defensive without “recalling” them first.
Recalling: After having used a Prayer Bead for either offensive or defensive purposes, Amaterasu is able to “recall” them remotely. This causes them to turn transparent and intangible as they come flying back to Amaterasu. They fly around the same speed as when used offensively, so if Amaterasu hasn’t moved since her attack they would take the same time to return as they took to reach where they are now. Due to being intangible they cannot “boomerang”-hit an opponent in the back. Amaterasu cannot recall a bead mid-flight after firing them, she needs to wait until they hit an object or fall to the ground (Offense) or until they have reached where she wants them to be and have become stationary (Defense).
Amaterasu has a total of 12 beads at her disposal.
Destruction & Recovery If one or more beads are destroyed Amaterasu must materialize new ones, which takes ca. 2 seconds of concentration for each bead - 24 seconds if all 12 of them were to be destroyed. She doesn’t have to materialize all of them at a time though. While concentrating Amaterasu’s movement speed is halved.
Bead Size: Around the size of a human palm.
Flight Speed & Arc: Around the same speed as an arrow fired from a bow. They arc the same way as well.
Max Range: ~100m
The beads look like the green yin & yang symbols in the image:

Fodder: Where Amaterasu's body touches the ground, grass and tree sprouts appear. This typically happens around her feet as she walks. These plants only grow on surfaces where plants would typically grow already - it doesn't work on rocks, ice, concrete etc or in lifeless environments such as the Underverse. These disappear a few seconds after Amaterasu lifts her foot, and are purely a cosmetic effect. The amount of energy consumed is very minor - this alone won't make her tired even if used for extensive periods of time -, but if Amaterasu is very exhausted for any reason, this will not work. During combat or if Amaterasu wishes to conceal her identity she can also disable this.
Total initial spent OM: 4.100
1600 (Proficiencies) + 900 (Powers) + 1000 (Stat Upgrade) + 600 (Moves)
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.
Yush, I do.

Sans shakily lowered his right arm, moving it behind his back once more. His left eye continued flashing orange and blue colors for a few moments before shifting back to pure white. His blue jacket and forehead were practically covered in sweat, and each deep breath he made came out hoarse. His legs felt like jelly as he gazed back at his opponent.
It was Frisk, or... was Frisk. It wore a blue shirt with purple stripes, though it was hard to tell thanks to an unbelievable amount of dust covering its clothes and hands. It also had blue pants, and ordinary shoes. In its hand was a sharp dagger, which had no dust on it whatsoever. A maniacal grin had contorted its visage, and Sans could swear its eyes glowed red at some points. Sans must've gotten it at least once or twice in the frenzy that had just occurred, as the 'monster' had several clean gashes across its chest and face. He should've been scared, as the kid had literally been on a murderous rampage, slaughtering everything and everyone it could see. He had little reason to believe the kid wouldn't kill him either. But all he could think about were the wounds on its body. The longer he thought about them, the more his chest felt like someone had filled it with the spaghetti made by his brother, Papyrus. That crap was just... not edible.
But he couldn't think about that. This... thing wasn't Frisk. He knew Frisk. Frisk wouldn't do something like this. At least not willingly. They had been fighting for who knows how long, and he just felt like closing his eyes and ending this here and now. But he refused. If he did... well, whatever the thing did next would certainly be something... really bad. He had to do something. And he had one more card to play.
"all right. that's it." Sans said, his voice hardly sounding anything more than monotone, "it's time for my special attack. are you ready? here goes nothing."
He wasn't kidding.
The thing flinched in preparation for what was never going to come, raising its blade upwards as it grabbed the handle with both hands, as if trying to deflect a bone being thrown at it. A minute or so passed before a confused look appeared on its face, staring at Sans as if expecting him to elaborate on this 'special attack.'
"yep. that's right. it's literally nothing. and it's not going to be anything, either." Sans complied, finding the energy to let out a triumphant hoot,"heh heh heh... ya get it? i know i can't beat you. one of your turns... you're just gonna kill me. so, uh. i've decided... it's not gonna BE your turn. ever. i'm just gonna keep having MY turn until you give up. even if it means we have to stand here until the end of time. capiche?"
Sans couldn't help but utter a tiny chuckle as the thing's jaw almost dropped to the floor, its eyes twitching violently. that got him good.
Sans continued talking to the 'human,' never, at any point, attacking him or letting him take his turn. His hands were behind his back, a worn out expression on his face that was only vaguely hinted at thanks to his gigantic grin. He was just going to wait it out. Eventually, 'Frisk' would give up, and everything would go back to normal. Sure was taking a while, though. And he *yawn* didn't really feel like standing there *yawn* to the end of time anyway. His legs started to buckle underneath him, though he managed to catch himself in time, even as both of his eyes were drooping to a close.
Suddenly, he snapped awake, and just in time. He dodged to the left as a knife sliced downwards right at the position he was standing in. Somehow, the kid had broken the rules of fighting. well, i think i've beaten him a ton of times already. about time he started being a cheater.
"heh, didja really think you would be able-" Sans almost finished, letting pride get the better of him for a split second. Not once had he made a mistake like that before.
Taking advantage of his momentary gloat, 'Frisk' swung his dagger in a deadly arc, cutting open Sans coat and completely obliterating pretty much every bone it touched. Sans eyes widened in shock as sticky red goo gushed out of his newly formed break as a light, gleeful laugh erupted from the knife-wielding pyschopath.
'Frisk' smiled malevolently, crimson gel covering the entirety of his dagger as he stood over the defeated skeleton, whom was clutching his 'bleeding' trench with his right hand. A look of pain and regret crossed his face as he stood up, all of his energy disappearing entirely.
"so... guess that's it, huh?" Sans whispers, the world around him turning into a gigantic haze as the fingers around his laceration loosened, "just... don't say i didn't warn you."
The thing never removed its eyes from the dying skeleton, even as he fell down onto his stomach a few feet away with a sickening crash, muttering "papyrus... do you want anything?" to himself as he started to dissolve into dust.
---------------------------------------------------------------
i can't believe it. he.. beat me. the underground... the humans.. everything... it'll all... and it's my fault.
Sans kept his eyes closed, silently hoping that he was dead and everything was going to get back to normal soon. It had to. Maybe, just maybe, his words struck true to the demonic human and made them rethink what they had been doing that whole time. He just had to wait. Minutes later, he was still waiting, slowly growing more and more impatient. It was then did he realize that he hadn't even bothered to open his eyes.
Opening his left eye, he scanned the area around him. It was entirely pitch black; not a single light source anywhere in site. It was like one of those caves in Waterfall, only without the lanterns or crystals. His grin remained plastered on his face, completely incapable of movement, just like every other part of his body for some reason. He couldn't even breathe, which wasn't good because his wound still hurt like all hell, and he was getting the feeling this wasn't an afterlife.
Sans lay there, flat on his stomach with his head facing the right and hands on his back for about three more minutes. Sans didn't really pay too much attention to how long he was waiting. After learning about... 'it'... he hadn't ever really felt time was of much importance anyway.
Sans was about to try to fall back to sleep when he noticed something in the distance: a grin. A wave of fear washed over his body as his white pupil latched onto the smile, vibrating in a futile attempt to start flaring vibrant colors. However, the smile started to... speak, which removed his suspicions entirely. The grin was glowing completely white, which contrasted well with the darkness around. Even as it spoke, it never removed its happy face, as if it was happy that the world around it had been utterly annihilated.
He couldn't quite catch all of the words being said by Smiley, though if he was able to speak he would've probably cracked a good joke or two. Maybe share a laugh and some spaghetti and-
His eyes started to become assaulted by a glowing orb, sparking rainbows out of its spherical shape.
Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.
"I want my friends back, dammit!" Sans desperately tried to shout, losing all of his casual pretense. He continued trying as hard as he could, even as the orb absorbed itself with his body and Smiley left him in the darkness.
Finally, words spit out of his mouth, though not the ones he was thinking about. A Freudian slip, if you can call it that. "this is not HUMERUS, buddy. that's just not-" was what he said. It didn't take too long for him to realize his pun, which resulted in an explosion of snickers, even though it was also sending a shock-wave of pain down his chest with each one.
Sans continued to lay on the ground, his head turned to the right, now facing something else entirely. He was in a completely white area, without a hint of darkness. Right in front of him was a fountain. It was that fountain from MTT Resort, with Mettaton or whatever that thing was shooting water out of its orifice and splashing onto the cold floor. The running water provided a rather tranquil sound to the empty void Sans was in, which made him want to just take a nap.
The complete lack of feeling in his chest was worrying, though. A pool of blood-colored, syrupy stuff was forming underneath him, which was staining his blue jacket and shorts and everything else on him. He somehow wasn't dead from it, but he had a sneaking suspicion that if he didn't do something about it, then all this would be in vein. god, i have to save that one.
hey... didn't that guy say i could do.. whatever i wanted with this.. omnillium? i wonder...
Sans slid his right hand down his back, smacking it against the floor. Without any warning, he closed his eyes, seeming to know exactly what it was he was supposed to do. He kept concentrating, his palm raised flat out in front of his face.
One hour later
Sans continued rolling around the ground every so often, his hands serving as makeshift cushions for his head as he slumbered. His chest was completely reformed, with all the blood gone and everything. His clothes were no longer stained, and he was napping right next to the fountain, which he occasionally bumped into during his somewhat chaotic respite. He probably should've been spending the time thinking of where he was and what he was supposed to be doing, but....
nah.

Here's the deal, Kanda will start a story/ quest in Camelot from which he will travel to the pale moors. There the story will pick up with an antagonist i created and will eventually lead to building the black order. The story will involve Akuma, demons, monsters, hunting, running and of course fighting.
Black star wanted to tag along, and i wanted to make it available for another 1 or 2 people if they want to join the story, don't want to give away too much obviously.
Let me know if you are up for it or if you have any questions about it.

Let me start.
Atzi and Bri's Warrior Form (Guardians of the Lost Code), Jessica (Gormiti), Zoe (Digimon)
Guardians of the Lost Code's off Netflix Instant and DVD rental. Digimon and Gormiti are on Hulu, so the only thing stopping me from writing this is Netflix. Oh, and if Digimon and Gormiti turn out to be a trainwreck.

Some questions about isolation verses.
1. could I buy one right now and use it ? I do have a protein pill but if I do not use it during the fight would that be ok or would I have to get rid of it ?
2. would the fight be moved to another thread for a 1 vs 1?
3. would it have to follow the same rules as the NB vs Law fight. or could we follow the site standard rules ?
4.what exactly happens when one is used ? does the space around that area get shielded? or would others just not see it and pass over the area the two people where standing?
5. What does the inside of one look like and have ? would it be the same as where they where standing or would it be a totally different looking verse ?

Everyone wants one, and only a few people have them. Artefacts are awesome, I think we can all agree on that. So, what Artefact would you have? Obviously only the staff in their infinite wisdom can canonize any sort of power knick knack, but that doesn't mean we can't dream!
For me (get ready to roll your eyes) I'd have Virgil's Pendant. Essentially it would allow the person who had it to get out of the Underverse scott free after being there for a month after being banished. Now you might be wondering, if the artefact travels with the owner to the Underverse, how is anyone supposed to steal it?
Simple. Defeat the owner in battle when they're in the Underverse. You had better fucking be ready to risk it all though.

Quote:This is Arthuria’s entrance to the Omniverse, it uhm, became a bit lengthy, but I hope you enjoy it!
“Bedivere……” sounded a weak voice. It sounded like the person behind the voice was in pain, yet was still striving to great efforts, in order to conceal it. “Bedivere, promise me…..that you will dispose of Excalibur.” the voice ordered, trying to take a commanding tone in its final moments. “Return it to the Lake, Bedivere.”
If one were to take a look at the situation, there was a single solitary knight dragging a sled behind himself, where a figure clad in marine blue armor lay in rest, whom seemed to be the one issuing commands. “But my King, Arthur. It is the Excalibur, I could never.” the knight responded to the voice, as the pair arrived beneath an ancient oak tree that was located in the center of a small isle, the Holy Isle, they called it.
Laying down the rains of the sled Bedivere made his way to the resting figure, easing himself upon one knee as he slid his arm behind the figure’s back. From there, he would start leveraging his partner up with seemingly relative ease, as the pair finally managed to get onto their feet. “We’re almost there, your Highness.” the knight reassured, as he started to help the other towards the tree.
“Bedivere… Promise me that you will return Excalibur into the lake.” was the only response he received, as the figure - earlier referred to as King Arthur - kept insisting upon such a simple thing. What an embarrassment it was.. Britain had fallen, the once proud country was being torn apart from inside and Avalon had been lost. Arthur himself had received a fatal wound from the traitorous knight Mordred, leading here, where he would live his final moments, accompanied by his most loyal knight, Bedivere.
Bedivere slowly eased Arthur down onto the ground, to rest against the mighty oak. “Your king orders you, Bedivere, as his final command.. Return Excalibur into the lake.” His voice shattered, a much more feminine voice revealed from beneath the practiced tone. Calmly, Bedivere responded; “Yes, my King, you need not ask anymore, I will see to it personally, Arthuria.”
In all reality, the proud king Arthur was no man, nor was his name Arthur. The king’s name was Arthuria, and who was believed to be he, was merely a she. Yet for all of his.. Her life, she had pretended to be a man. And it seemed that her time as a King was over. Regret took hold of her mind, as the once proud King of Knights reflected upon her past, the decisions she had made and hoped that the sword that had once been lodged tightly in the stone’s cold embrace, Caliburn, would’ve chosen someone else. Someone more fit to be king. And it was with these dire and desperate thoughts, that the King of Knights, Arthur - Arthuria, drifted from the warmth of life, into the cold, eternal darkness.
-------------------------------
Shielding her eyes from the sudden light with a hand brought to cover her visage, Arthuria woke up from her dream. It seemed that yet another Holy Grail War had come to its inevitable conclusion, and she had once more been forced to witness her own bitter end. Yet this time, something felt different. Before, she had always ended up standing in the close vicinity of a magic circle, yet this time there seemed to be none. There was simply darkness, and the light shining from before her. And that was when she heard a voice resonate within her mind.
Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”
Omni? Omniverse? So...was this not one of the Grail Wars..? And if so, how had she ended up here. A fleet of questions sailed the knight’s mind as she steeled herself, listening closely to what this being had to tell her. After all, he would only explain them once.
Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."
Omnilium? A matter of somekind..? Was it possibly comparable to magic power? Arthuria pondered within her mind, trying to make sense of the situation as much as she could. She eyed the rainbow-like matter in her hands, as she pondered. So could it become the Holy Grail, could it grant her one and only desire..? Arthuria received no answer, as the being voiced himself once more.
Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.”
The King of Knights thought that this was starting to sound awfully familiar, as she went through the rules and limitations of Heroic Spirits and what she had learned before.. But still, the being had insisted that this was Omniverse, and the knight couldn’t remember ever hearing of such thing before in any material related to the Holy Grail War.
Quote:“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
Arthuria realized that the being was fading, and she was falling back to darkness. What would happen now, she thought, as she closed her eyes.
-------------------------------
Once more, the King of Knights brought her hand to shield her eyes, as she slowly flickered them open against the bright white light shining into them. The being seemed to be gone. That was the first thing that registered within the woman, as she slowly figured she was resting on something soft. Laying on her back, she soon realized that her whole body felt rather..exposed. Quickly, the woman rolled from her back first onto her front, from where she pushed herself up and managed a sitting position. Not looking around herself, she reminisced back to the darkness, where she had been told. Think of what you desire most, hm? Well, at the current moment it was rather simple, clothes. The first outfit that came to her mind, was the simple blue dress that she had worn whilst strolling the aisles of her castle.
The dress was made of ultramarine blue fabric with exquisite golden embroidery. The inside of the dress was lined with a softer cloth for comfort, and to create a highlight to the front of the skirt. The white fabric also covered the chest area of the dress, because the rougher blue fabric would be rather uncomfortable for such parts. The white cloth overtook the blue dress at hems that were decorated by lace, decorated with small golden embroidery.

As she sat there, Arthuria pictured every slight bit of the dress that she could possibly recall even to the slightest details, concentrating upon it attempting to push it into materialization from her mind. For ten straight minutes the girl simply sat there, picturing every nook and cranny of the dress she used to wear in the past as it materialized before her. Eventually, as she believed she had managed to capture dress in a way that did it justice, she opened her eyes, discovering the dress neatly folded before herself. The King of Knights paid no thought to the fact that she had indeed just created it, as she hastily dressed herself.
Now that she was dressed and not completely naked, Arthuria finally took a look regarding her surroundings. She stood upon lush, green grass, that eventually faded into a bright white. Turning around the woman gasped at the sight presented before her eyes. Her surroundings had gone completely unnoticed by her before, due to the wardrobe malfunction.
”Can this be?” she slowly asked half aloud. What Arthuria witnessed before her, was the same green grass extending for some dozen meters in front of her, before a large lake took over and spread to dominate the landscape. There was also a small island in the middle of the lake, where seemed to be a large stone with something protruding from its depths. ”The Holy Isle..? But...it can’t be. The stone wasn’t here.. There’s something wrong.” the woman noted aloud, as she began to approach the shore with cautious, shaky steps. She was wondering why was this world...Omniverse, was it? Shaped like the Holy Isle, and why was Caliburn here? Was this the earlier being’s way of welcoming her, or was it just a cruel joke?
Her steps grew faster in pace, as the King of Knights could feel her nervousness taking over. There was no bridge leading to the Isle, the distance from the shore being approximately thirty meters or so. Arthuria noted that she was by now running without the feat having even registered to her, having covered the distance to the shore. Much like in the past, the woman didn’t even consider the water as an obstacle, her faith in the Lady of the Lake’s blessing unwavering. As the soles of her feet contacted the surface of the water, instead of running across it with mere splashes of water audible from below her feet, the girl sank like a stone, stumbling face first into the quickly deepening shore water.
As the King of Knights clambered back onto her feet from the water, a question was presented to the air. ”Oh Lady of the Lake, have thy abandoned thine defender?” The response the soaked woman received was one of cold silence, and the situation had quickly developed towards the reality, that Arthuria would have to swim if she wanted onto the isle. But she wouldn’t have been the king, if she was one to give up after such menial hardships. The King of Knights took some steps back discarding the dress she had so hastily put on, setting it onto the grass in hopes that it would dry out whilst she was away. Leaving herself in mere underwear, the woman took a running start, this time diving head first into the cold, dark lake.
A few minutes later the woman found herself at the opposite shore, rising from the waters and standing on the small isle. Observing the island closer, it was approximately ten meters in diameter and the stone was settled approximately in the middle. From this distance Arthuria could already tell what it was, that stuck out from the stone. The hilt of a sword she was indeed very familiar with in her past, Caliburn. ”But how is it..here..?” the woman pondered aloud whilst her feet carried her to the stone with shaky steps. She had lost Caliburn a long time ago as the sword had shattered, yet here it was.
Her thoughts were in disarray, as she tried to figure out what exactly was going on here, as she thought. Does the blade still choose me? Has my wish to the grail been fulfilled..? And if not, am I truly worthy of this blade? It was at that moment, that Arthuria or as she was often called, Saber, reminisced the Holy Grail War she had recently participated in. How she had wielded Excalibur and fought to attain the Gr-....Excalibur. Did she still have it, the woman pondered quietly, the cold air against her bare, glistening skin going unnoticed, as there were more important things on her mind. Then again, if she simply had to imagine her desire to attain it, it seemed rather simple.
Once more, the woman would lower herself to a sitting position, starting to picture the blade in all of its details, the legendary sword Excalibur she was so accustomed to using. Once more this time with some experience in the matter, the woman managed to summon the blade in approximately five minutes minutes. Standing up, she bent down grasping the sword in her hand, lifted it up and gave it a few swings. It did seem like the one she was so accustomed to using, yes.
But it was time Arthuria thought as she set the blade to lean against the stone before her, reaching towards the hilt of what seemed to be Caliburn lodged in the stone. Her hand was shaking from the sheer tension of the situation as she nearly lunged the last few centimeters to the blade, her fingers grasping the hilt before she would give it a strong pull. And it slid. The sword slid up from the stone, sheathed away in its scabbard. At the same time, the King of Knights heard a familiar voice in her head. My blessing shall never leave you, King Arthuria. Believe in yourself, no matter how dire the situation. Instantly, Saber staggered backwards with the blade still in her hand as a tingling sensation rushed through her body, questioning the voice she had heard instantaneously; ”Lady of the Lake?! Is that you?” Yet only silence was her answer. Slowly, Arthuria looked at the sword in her hand, examining it closely with both feeling the engravings with the tips of her fingers, as well as scrutinizing the sword with her eyes. It was definitely Caliburn.
Yet this presented a problem. She now had two swords that she couldn’t just carry around. If she could summon things, could she also de-summon them, or store them away somehow? As soon as she simply thought of dismissing the swords, they simply vanished from her hands. Obviously, the woman would try to re-summon them, finding that they did indeed return to her hand upon her call. For now, she returned the two into their storage.
Quote:Author’s note: Caliburn shall for now, be simply a fluff item, she won’t actually be using it, but who knows about the future?
It was time to leave, Arthuria thought, as she headed back towards the water, discovering right away on her first step, that she did indeed once more, possess the blessing given by the Lady of the Lake, granting her the ability to traverse waters unhindered, much like they would be ground. On a running pace, she returned to her dress, only to discover that it had disappeared… What a strange world it was, the woman thought as she once more took her seating position, this time deciding to summon the armor she so often wore.
After she was done with the summoning process, and had successfully clothed herself, it was time to leave. Except that she didn’t know where. Saber looked around herself - this time towards the ever expanding whiteness, noticing small dots in the distance, even though she was unable to determine what exactly they were from such distance. But heading for those was better than nothing. However, due to the distance, there was a question of travel time. She had summoned clothes, her armour as well as her weapon, would it work on something so much larger, living even..? Well, only by trying, could she ever find out the knight decided, as she took her sitting pose and began to imagine.
Twenty or so minutes later Arthuria took a hold the reins of the white horse, directing it towards one of the gates and spurring her newly discovered mount to a canter.
Quote:Arthuria is heading towards the gate of Camelot, even though she obviously doesn’t have a clue about such.
