Artefact Ideas - Tearen Wover - 11-20-2015 Everyone wants one, and only a few people have them. Artefacts are awesome, I think we can all agree on that. So, what Artefact would you have? Obviously only the staff in their infinite wisdom can canonize any sort of power knick knack, but that doesn't mean we can't dream! For me (get ready to roll your eyes) I'd have Virgil's Pendant. Essentially it would allow the person who had it to get out of the Underverse scott free after being there for a month after being banished. Now you might be wondering, if the artefact travels with the owner to the Underverse, how is anyone supposed to steal it? Simple. Defeat the owner in battle when they're in the Underverse. You had better fucking be ready to risk it all though. Re: Artefact Ideas - The Rogue - 11-20-2015 Codex, an 'eye of the beholder' type weapon, looks like a simple metal box, but once its owner touches it, it becomes a heavy weapon that they are familiar with. Re: Artefact Ideas - Tom Marvolo Riddle - 11-20-2015 If I were got for an artifact it would be the Limited Infinite Tsukiyomi Gem used in the Road to Ninja by Obito. You can use it once per battle to either create an Isolation Verse of your own design or to banish a single person once per battle on their defeat. Never both in the same battle. Re: Artefact Ideas - Rubick - 11-20-2015 Death's Scythe (from our world's mythos). A blade so powerful it can rip through the fabric of space-time itself, giving you pseudo-teleportation depending on your SPD and a devastating rotting effect to your strikes, but only being usable for like a post or two. Idk. Re: Artefact Ideas - Zack Fair - 11-20-2015 Since we already have Chaos Emeralds, I guess you could call it the Master Emerald. When used, it gives you a Tier 2 or 3 transformation for a round. The only requirement is that it's got to make your hair (or something similar for those without typical heads of hair) gold and spiky, Super Saiyan or Super Sonic style. Considering how badly it would destroy my characters to be thrown there, yeah, I'd take this one too. Don't need anything else than "Get out of UV". Word of Omni: Free transportation to and from ANY verse, round trip. Includes The Under and Over verse. 1 week cool down OOC. 1 month cool down OOC for Under of Over verse.. Re: Artefact Ideas - Magus - 11-20-2015 Deck of Many Things: powerful magic item. The item comes in the form of a deck of cards, each one causing a distinct effect upon the character who draws it. These effects can be astoundingly beneficial or catastrophic. A player can only declare he or she is drawing a card. The actual diceroll to determine the effect must be made by a staffer (or Magus cuz he's awesome and came up with it). If this is something that might actually be interesting to players/staffers, I'd flesh out the effects and stuff. I stole the artifact from DnD so I'd have to change a lot of the effects but mechanically it could work identically here. Re: Artefact Ideas - Proto Man - 11-20-2015 The Subtle Knife (from His Dark Materials) - Allows the user to create (and also seal) openings between verses. Re: Artefact Ideas - Belle - 11-21-2015 Dragon Balls Seven orbs of highly concentrated Omnilium, when these artifacts are gathered together, they grant the owner a single wish. The concentration of Omnilium in these spheres is so great, it is said that they hold the power to create new verses, stay the hand of the Reaper, or even to challenge Omni itself for its throne. Re: Artefact Ideas - Dave Strider - 11-21-2015 Bloodthirsty Blade- A weapon that gets increasingly stronger and more damaging the more primes it kills. Each time it is used to kill a prime, its blade grows longer and sharper. Once its owner has been killed, it resets to its original form. Re: Artefact Ideas - Undyne - 11-21-2015 Angel's Feather Finding and using it sends a "request" to an angel (one of Omni's subordinates, that is) which they can accept to be summoned, or deny in which case... well, nothing will happen. Angels are essentially a lesser version of Omni in the Oververse in that they can answer questions about the Omniverse, but nowhere near to the extent Omni can, they can't turn anyone into Primes or such, and would likely hold back about answering various questions as the user hasn't "earned" the right to have them answered by going through the Void. Also, angels will never become someone's companion or otherwise help them in their quests. It's got an internal cooldown of at least 1 OOC month, which begins ticking after the angel leaves, or denies the request. Protean Stone A one-time consumable (or maybe it only works once for each character, but it can be passed to other characters and they can use it?) which unlocks an alternate form for someone, either for free or at a discount (for balancing purposes). An additional balance might be that a character must hold on to the item for at least X amount of OOC days before they can use it, giving it the risk of being stolen first. Re: Artefact Ideas - Jade Harley - 11-21-2015 The Clever Disguise: A very unassuming artefact that doesn't actually seem to be an artefact at all. In fact, most Omniversians who find this disguise might dismiss it altogether as being incredibly ridiculous. However, if they were to don this artefact, they would find that they are immune to any and all sensory powers indefinitely while still retaining the ability to come into contact with others. Also, everything the wearer does is enhanced with comedic effect. Re: Artefact Ideas - Sasuke Uchiha - 11-22-2015 Just as a heads up, to all of those out there who desperately want an Artefact: They're not all they're cracked up to be. Yea, they're cool, but realize that anyone who has one, also has a target on their head. With the way the site is, it is extremely hard to avoid fights if people are determined to have them with you, and with artefacts in your possession, you could very easily find yourself in back to back fights. Lol, there is very little rest for the hunted. Which leads you into the next fight at a disadvantage, because you have taken damage or spent sp. Also, with that in mind, Banishment is becoming a more and more common thing here, so, having an artefact puts you under that gun as well. People don't want you coming after them to reclaim your artefacts and are probably more than happy to send you to hell to get you off their back. All in all, these things are cool, but for most of the people on this site, I don't think you really comprehend what it means to have an artefact. They are as much a curse as they are a gift. Re: Artefact Ideas - Tom Marvolo Riddle - 11-22-2015 Sasuke Uchiha Wrote:Just as a heads up, to all of those out there who desperately want an Artefact: They're not all they're cracked up to be. Hence my Artefact since it can function as either a Isoverse or a Banishment circle and not both. I had this in mind when I wrote it up. Re: Artefact Ideas - Trixie - 11-22-2015 Proto Mouse Wrote:The Subtle Knife (from His Dark Materials) - Allows the user to create (and also seal) openings between verses. I like this one. It's combat properties could be to create dimensional wormholes like Janemba. I also think you shouldn't be able to reduce Artefacts down to OM. Re: Artefact Ideas - Sasuke Uchiha - 11-22-2015 Trixie Wrote:Proto Mouse Wrote:The Subtle Knife (from His Dark Materials) - Allows the user to create (and also seal) openings between verses. I mean, I literally made one of my artifacts. Sword of Kusanagi? I made that shit. I don't see why I couldn't unmake them. Primes do like things all the time. Example: Primes can literally extract OM from secondaries, causing them to cease to exist. Re: Artefact Ideas - Trixie - 11-22-2015 Sasuke Uchiha Wrote:Trixie Wrote:Proto Mouse Wrote:The Subtle Knife (from His Dark Materials) - Allows the user to create (and also seal) openings between verses. That's all well and fine, but I still don't think an artefact of legendary power should be destroyable outside of some god-level event. You should not be able to extract it just because you feel like it. Re: Artefact Ideas - The Dreamer - 11-22-2015 There's another thread for the discussion of Artefact breakdown if im not mistaken. I think this was more of a place for fun and ideas shooting/ |
