Legacy and War Format/Rules Voting
Posted by: Proto Man - 11-19-2015, 04:41 PM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - Replies (35)

Post up what you would like the fight rules to be. Post only something like below. Do not debate, discuss, or whatever. Please use the other thread for that. Please do not change your mind over and over again. Stick with something.

If you'd like to add something extra, just include that under your proposed rule set so people can consider it.

Majority will rule. Please vote so we can have something set and get this on the road. Let's try and get this ready to go so we can be done before Christmas -_-

Quote:Rules: Group Fight Rules (w/ Time Mods) - fights.php#Basics

Round Duration: 7 Days
Rounds: 3
'Call' Time Allowance: 4 hours

Word Limit: 800
Random Elements: On
Damage Meter: On

Judges: Adam Gaite, Dark Link, ... I forget the third person

Extra - 11/26 will be a day where the fight is frozen (no one posts). It won't count toward the 7 day limit and normal rules will resume afterwards. Argument - The Call system is going to make a lot of people (myself as well) a little edgy. I don't want to try and deal with this crap on Thanksgiving, a day where I want to spend with family eating food, watching sports, and being chill.

Alright so I have already decided and basically moved over to the point that I want to start out with Ryner already, but i am also finishing things up with crash until he dies from spehhs mahreens. Is it possible for me to have my OM reset already and just do Crash's posts in quotes to restrict OM gain in that thread so that I can start out with Ryner already?

Let's say that Omni apears at your doorstep wearing a christmas hat and a fake beard and going "Hoo hoo hoo, it's Christmas, you've been a good Prime, here's your gift!" and hands you a million OM. Or maybe it's Diablo telling you that you won the Underverse lottery.

Either case, you find yourself with a lot of OM - enough to purchase all the proficiencies, hundreds of moves, stat upgrades, powers, Power-Ups... as well as items and consumables. What do you think would you do with all that OM?

Protip: It's probably a good idea to put your stuff into spoilers if your list gets long Big Grin

A Girl and a Goron [Exemplary]
Posted by: Zack Fair - 11-18-2015, 11:49 PM - Forum: The Ashen Steppes - Replies (6)

Blackened ash swept through the air near Death Mountain, pulverizing anything foolish enough to be out in this fierce wind storm. Though the sky was always covered by this cloudy gunk, today was made worse than usual by the harsh gusts that flung it around. One figure stumbled up the trail, moving slowly due to the harsh weather.

Tight blue jeans were covered in what the wind turned into a black powder. A buttoned up brown duster coat shielded their torso, and their face and head were protected by a combination of a brown cowboy hat, heavily tinted black goggles, and two bandanna. One cloth wrapped around their head underneath the hat, and the other one shielded their nose and mouth from the elements of the Ashen Steppes.

Slowly, this traveler entered a cave, grasping at the rock walls to keep their composure. An exasperated breath came from beneath the bandanna that served as a mask, and they leaned back against the wall, deciding to take a break. Gloved hands reached up and pulled away the bandannas, the goggles, and the hat to reveal a tan skinned young woman with blonde hair. She shook her head a few times to shake her hair from it's bunched up state, letting it flow down to her shoulders. She stuffed all of her ashen weather gear into a coat pocket, with the exception of the hat, which was quickly placed back on her head.

Brooke Stryker looked back out at what was the worst windstorm she'd ever seen, in the most inopportune place she'd ever imagined seeing one. The twenty-something girl then took a glance into the cave she'd entered, seeing nothing but darkness down the tunnel. Still, the unknown of this burrow was a better option to her than the bleak outdoors of this verse. She unbuttoned the duster coat, opening it to reveal that she wore a black buttoned up vest underneath. Along the leather gun belt she also wore was a revolver and several various tools. Specifically, she drew the flashlight she kept on hand and turned it on. She shined it down the path before her. It didn't make the trail look any more inviting, but there was nothing that convinced her that the windstruck cliffs of Death Mountain were a better idea.

So she began to press onward. However, she was now feeling the fatigue of her long trek up the mountainside, and simply couldn't move as fast as she would like. But regardless of her speed, she stubbornly pushed herself through the cave's pathway, stopping every now and again to close her eyes and gather her senses. Sooner or later she would have to stop and rest, but she wanted to get to a place that would be a safe distance from these dragons that seemed to cover the mountain. Some were small, and some were massive, but she'd already had to shoot her way through a few and tactically avoid others. The last thing she wanted to do was get eaten by one in her sleep, after all that hard work of getting here.

Brooke stumbled as she walked. Putting one foot in front of the other became more of a challenge with every step. Her left hand extended to the side, and before she fully realized it, she was using the side of the cave wall for support. She turned and looked blankly at the wall, her eyes drifting closed for longer, this time. She couldn't fight it much longer, and she knew it. She needed to lay down and rest. Her body was giving her little say in the matter by this point. With a long exhale, she used the illumination of the flashlight to look down the tunnel one more time. It looked like there was a rock structure moving around, not far from her. Sure, why not? After all, lack of sleep could cause one to become delirious.

She shook her head and laughed, lowering the light and leaning her back against the cave wall. This place would do. It would have to, because she obviously didn't have another step in her. As she slid her back down the rock wall to a seated position, she pulled a small water bottle from one of her jacket pockets. She unscrewed the lid and took a large gulp, but upon lowering it she was immediately distracted by some nearby movement.

Brooke looked upwards, and couldn't believe her eyes. Those rocks she had seen moving before her were now towering over where she sat. They weren't just any rocks, though. They had arms, legs, and a face. The giant boulder even spoke to her.

"Sister, are you alright?"

Enough was enough. Brooke laughed lightly and leaned her head back while closing her eyes, allowing sleep to take her.

Is it possible for me to revert Asriel back to kid form? Since that's where most of the story comes from after all. And the others are giving positive responses, so I was just curious if there was a way to re-do things so that then Asriel is a kid, but still has all of his things and didn't go to his adult future. Plz, for the cuteness ; w ;

 Changing character: Alarak
Posted by: Vulre Oakenlimb - 11-18-2015, 07:50 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (9)

Character name: Alarak

Character source: Starcraft

Character history:
Highlord of the Tal'darim, a breakaway faction of Protoss that worship the Xel'Naga Amon, Alarak was not always the indisputable leader of this brutal sect. Originally a lowly Votary, he manipulated those higher above him on the Chain of Ascension (A system wherein you either obey those above you, or attempt to kill them in a ritual combat known as Rak'shir) into a bloody battle that left over 800 Tal'darim dead. He quickly rose to the top of this new power vacuum, becoming Fourth Ascendant, a mere few steps from High Lord. Some time after this, he was approached by First Ascendant Nuroka, who claimed that Amon had no intention of Ascending the Tal'darim, instead reveling in the countless deaths caused in Rak'shir. Alarak promptly attacked the heretic, who promptly tossed him aside. It was then that Nuroka forced Alarak to admit that Amon could be slain within the Void, and to join them while deterring the second and third ascendants from joining Ma'lash, the Highlord of the Tal'darim, whom Nuroka intended to challenge to Rak'shir.

What happened next was a master stroke of cunning. The second and third ascendants turned on each other, with the victor aiding Ma'lash. Alarak promptly stepped in and aided Nuroka, slaying the sole survivor and lending his psionic strength to Nuroka's telekinetic tug of war. Only after half an hour of this, did he show his true colours and betray Nuroka, granting Ma'lash the strength needed to end his foe. At the end of the day, when the terrazine fog claimed the night, the path was cleared for Alarak to become First Ascendant. Submitting to Ma'lash's rule, and biding his time to claim his place as Highlord, Alarak tried and failed to quash the doubt that Amon was merely using them all.

Years later, when Amon corrupted the Khala that bound the Protoss, Alarak led a contingent of the Death Fleet to annihilate the remaining purifiers in hibernation. Not long after his efforts were foiled by Artanis, he had a crisis of faith and realized that what Nuroka spoke all that time ago was the truth: Amon was using them, abandoning them in favour of his abominable hybrids. Teleporting aboard the Spear of Adun, he betrayed Amon to the Daelaam, rescuing Artanis from Amon's deadly trap.

Not long, after, he proposed a bargain to the Hierarch: Aid him in Rak'Shir against Ma'Lash, and the Tal'darim would aid them against Amon. Artanis reluctantly accepted, and both sides kept their end of the bargain, despite their myriad differences. Once Ma'Lash laid dead, Alarak revealed Amon's betrayal to his people, and led them on a grand crusade against Amon's forces, from Aiur to the void itself, they took their vengeance upon their dark god.

After Kerrigan ended the existence of Amon, Alarak took his loyal followers on a journey to locate a new world to call their own, allowing any dissidents one chance to turn their backs on the Tal'darim and join Artanis's forces. As the Death Fleet left the Daelaam behind, sojourning out into the unknown, Alarak was plucked from his position of command, and thrown into the Omniverse.
Physical Description: (originals only)

Alarak is a notably pale Protoss, entirely encased within blackened, blade-covered armour, from the tips of his claws to the endings of his nerve-cords. His eyes glow crimson with his psionic might, penetrating deep into the soul of those standing before him. His presence is highly intimidating, due to a natural talent, a lifelong abuse of terrazine, and his weaponized armour.

Stats:
ATK: 5

Alarak's might is undeniable, his strength and raw psychic power earning him his position within the darwinist Tal'darim society.

DEF: 4

His natural constitution is only further complemented by his heavy armour, shielding him from the pitiful strikes of lesser beings.

SPD: 0

While his momentum can carry him into devastating charges, his approach is slow, but, much like his victory, inevitable.

TEC: 1

Alarak saves his subtlety for political maneuvering, relying solely on his overwhelming might to defeat the foe in battle.

Starting Proficiencies:
Ranged (1000 OM)
Remote Control (600 OM)
Ranged Materialize (600 OM)

Starting Powers:
Basic Telekinesis (400 OM)
Telepathy (1500 OM)
Starting Moves:

Psionic Push (300 OM, requires ranged, remote control, ranged materialize proficiencies, telekinesis)
With a single fluid motion, similar to a backhanded slap, Alarak throws an enemy up to 5 meters away from him. This distance is dependent on their relative strength, with weaker, smaller foes being sent careening, while those able to rival his own power being merely stalled in their advance, with the effect varying based on their relative ATK and DEF statistics. This does inflict damage, as the opponent is being hit by a substantial psychic force. After using this ability, Alarak requires 5 seconds for his psionic energies to realign before using it again.

4400 OM out of 5000 Spent

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

If I reset Trixie could I put her current purchases in stasis until I earned the 4,350 to "unlock" her current status? Or would you rather I just repurchase everything if I were to go this route?
