CHARACTER NAME:  Jackson Darby  

CHARACTER SOURCE: TFP (AU) 

CHARACTER HISTORY: Jack's menial after-school job at the drive-thru at KO Burger getting him down, with rude customers who took food without paying. As he knocked off and reported in to his mom by phone, he spotted a sweet motorcycle in the parking lot. While he was admiring it and promising one day he'd have enough money to buy a motorcycle just like it, he was caught talking to it by Sierra and her friend causing him to trip over his words somewhat. He was saved from further embarrassment when the motorcycle—in reality Arcee—took off with him still on board as she was being chased by two Decepticon cars. After a short chase, she warned him not to tell anyone and let him go, only for one of the Decepticons to start following him, forcing her to pick him up again. The chase ended up in a drainage canal, where Jack encountered Raf for the first time, and the pair watched Arcee and Bumblebee duke it out, before hastily making an escape when one of the Decepticons started chasing them. After many adventures with the Autobots Jack would eventually visit the world of Cybertron. When on the world of Cybertron, Jack Darby downloaded the memories of Optimus Prime with the Key of Vector Sigma. Using the Key he was able to restore the memories of Optimus Prime but was entrusted with the key for safe keeping after that, on a permanent basis. 

Shortly after that, he ended up experimented on by Mech and turned into a Cybertronian. Shortly after that a Green Lantern Power Ring found Jack, and chose him. However he did not survive the trip to Oa. As such he ended up in the Omniverse, and has now had to adjust to both being Cybertronian, though appearing to be human, and having to cope with wielding a mostly non functional Green Lantern Ring. 

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: 

CHARACTER NAME: Lambert

CHARACTER SOURCE: The Witcher

CHARACTER HISTORY: Lambert is a Witcher of the Wolf School, which is a long way or saying he is a monster hunter. He was mutated as a child to turn him into a Witcher, and since then has spent the next couple hundred years doing his best to stay out of the public eye and just make an honest living killing things. Unlike some of his companions, he stays out of the limelight and avoids politics, but has been known to jump in and help his fellow Witchers when things have gotten really bad. He was taken to the Omniverse after the Battle of Kaer Morhen, where he successfully defended his friends but chose to leave his own keep behind.

STARTING MOVES:

Steel and Silver Swords (Physical, 300): Lambert has two long-blades that he uses. He keeps them both in sheaths on his back, and only uses one at a time, depending on the situation. He uses the steel sword when fighting a typical humanoid, and the silver sword against monsters and seemingly magical creatures. Both swords are approximately 47 inches long total, with the blades being about 36 inches.

Hanged Man's Venom (Physical, Buff, Tier 1 Super, 600): A special chemical that Lambert has brewed and keeps in a glass bottle. It is a dark green blade oil that he applies to his steel sword in order to raise his ATK +2 against humans, or +1 for anything else for a round of combat . It takes him about ten seconds to crack open the bottle and apply the oil to his blade, and he only has one vial at any given time before having to summon another.

Over the next couple of days, it's plausible (not definite but plausible) that the boards might be wonky or the site may go down for a bit.

There are some lingering issues (broken pages in the staff panel) that Joe and I are trying to resolve, with the help of some people from the site's host.  We need to resolve these issues before we can update the board software and board plugins to the most recent versions.  Fixing these bizarre, pre-existing conditions is the ground work before we can start tinkering with updates to themes and existing plugins. 

Just wanted to make a public announcement in case anyone notes any weirdness (beyond those occasional server load errors).

"Yes, like an alternate dimension, exactly. I vaguely remember mention of a multiverse theory in my father's studies many years ago... " Casshan explained as the two walked.
As they approached the door, two Storm Troopers were standing guard in front of it.
"Sirs, where does this door lead to?" he asked them.
"Coruscant, the biggest city in the omniverse."
Casshan nodded. "May we pass through?"
The Storm Troopers looked to eachother, "They seem harmless, let them in," one said to the other, and they moved out of the way.

Entering the gate, the two were warped to the first level of Coruscant. "You're right," he said, hearing Ben's remark, "We should find someplace to rest."

"May I ask Monsieur Jarvis what are we doing in a... Well abandoned factory building?" Frenchie cleared his throat. 

Of all the years being with Marc Jean-Paul thought he would be used to weird and awkward locations by know but the abandoned warehouse proved him wrong. Jarvis was a good and reasonable man, so any place they were meeting he probably had some good reason for. 

Stepping out from the shadows of the dimly lit room his hands put to his back, the butler gave a brisk smile. 

"Becuase my dear friend the age of marvels is already here in this Omniverse and I'm afraid the same dangers from our world, Earth, home, has followed."  He slightly nodded before raising his head up.

"So what are we doing here then?" Frenchie raised an eyebrow. 

"A good question." Jarvis took his hands from his back revealing a small card in his hands. 

Jean-Pual narrowed his eyes toward it. 

"You can't be serious?" 

"I quite am." 

"Shield, mon Dieu." 

Taking DuChamp's arm Jarvis placed the card in his palm.

"I myself never imagined that one day I would go from butler to the Avengers to standing director of Shield. I may not be Nick Fury but I've come to the point that this world needs more than just the Avengers." 

Silently Observing the card Frenchie became even more confused. Pocketing the card he looked up to his friend, his face locked in a bewildered look. 

"But... Why now?" 

Javis gave another smile. 

"Because with Hydra running about there's no telling what else could be out there lurking, getting ready to pounce. So, welcome to my plan to make this Omniverse a better place." 

"So then, Director Jarvis, What is our next course of action?" 

"Get familiar with the locals. There's a local gang in the lower tiers by the name of Westside. From the stories I've heard around, they seem to be the most morally right thing in this... Empire. So in better words, I'd like you and your new associate to talk with them and see if they can be brought to our side."         

"New associate?" Frenchie gave another confused look. 

"Ah yes, Miss Mercier but she insists you call her Lady Whisperer... Think of her as like Mystique but more like Black Widow... you will see her soon." 

"Right, What about Marc and the Avengers?" 

Jarvis gave a low sigh. 

"I'm working my best on them but the Empire is a stubborn bunch. One more thing, this warehouse is our current base of operations until my transactions are ready for us to move to our new base- The Avengers Mansion." Pointing in front of him insisting for the Frenchmen to turn around. "Those crates over there should have some equipment that you should find useful, your new partner should be here soon, I suggest getting geared up you leave for Coruscant's lower tiers in a half hour."

Dante's Abyss is intended to be an event that draws a crowd. Seeing as how it's been going on regularly for several years, you'd have to suspect that it draws bigwigs and 'celebrities' alike and even a few rivals.

List of "Dignitaries" are below, along with any roles they may have throughout the event.  You are free to use these characters, who will be present in the Preshow facility throughout the contest.  Many have NPC profiles.  For those that don't, you should do a some research beforehand. 

• Ron Burgundy (Omniverse News Network anchor and lover of scotch and rich mahogany) -- Ron and Karl have a personal friendship that dates back to before the first Dante's Abyss event was held.
  
• Baron Victor von Magnus (Camelot big wig, Colosseum patron, and lover of giant swords) -- Despite a traditionally tragic heroic backstory, Victor is still the most out-going of the Camelot inner circle, with the exception of the King.
  
• Karl Jak (Syntech CEO and Chariman) and/or "Karl Jak" -- Karl Jak can be found schmoozing about with all the people who help make him 'Omniverse' rich(er).
  
• Vi (Enforcer, Costa del Sol) -- Vi loves to watch fights almost as much as she loves to be in fights
  
• Nathaniel Holden (Triumvir, Darkshire) -- Holden is a representative of the city of Darkshire and a member of its six-person ruling council.
  
• Kamek (Royal Advisor, Koopa Kingdom) -- Kamek is King Bowser's right-hand koopa.
  
• Pepsiman (Spokesperson, PepsiCo, event alumni) -- Pepsiman is here to sell Pepsi products and advertising deals.  Do you require hydration?
  
• Whompt (Mercenary) -- Whompt is an orc mercenary. Whompt may or may not be using this high profile event to sell his services.
  
• Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson (Wrestler, movie star, event alumni) -- The Rock is a somewhat vain but well-meaning body-builder/wrestler/star movie person.  He'll always be willing to sign autographs and do selfies.  He will also be part of the event commentary.
  
• A representative of Smithy, rambling about stars.
  
• A group of Pokemon from Cinnibar Island, trying to fund-raise for 'Vasty Deep Relief'
  
• Official representatives of most other NPC factions are present as well (orcs, dwarves, trolls, etc)

Can we bring things with us that aren't people sized? Like vehicles. Is there like a teleportation valet service or some bullshit?
