Omniverse....
Posted by: Eon Saverem - 01-21-2016, 08:51 PM - Forum: The Nexus - No Replies

The darkness engulfed him as he tried to fight it, to no avail. As the last bit of light disappeared, he felt himself begin to give up hope. Then a shift begin, as though space and time were reversing... or going forward? He could feel some sort of change in the darkness as a silhouette appeared before him. Eon tries to speak, though nothing comes out. He stares at the figure...

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Eon's fist clinch, A game? This is a game? Omni hands Eon an orb. Holding it, he can feel what it is at it's core.

Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."

His fingers digging into his palms, teeth gritted together, You changed me... you promise me anything I desire... I want no part of this! Why me? Because you find me interesting?

Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn."

His fists released, his head dropped, he felt even more defeated, You don't even care... A curse of immortality... I couldn't free myself of this even if I tried... you've stolen others as well. You know what I'm thinking, that's why you have that grin on your face. This show you're putting on here is for your own conscience, can't feel bad if you've explained the rules to me.

Quote:“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

Eon nodded in acceptance. Closing his eyes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eon Saverem opened his eyes, before him stood a large fountain ordained with lion's heads and water flowing forth from them. White, everything was white. Illuminated but at the same time a void, it seemed as though he stood on nothing and nothing surrounded him. If not for the fountain before him, his sense of equilibrium may have been lost. He stood there, staring at the fountain. There were others in this place, he turn his head to see a slender pale male with blonde hair shoot up and start running full speed in, what seemed like, a random direction. As Eon surveyed the man's possible destination and noticed what looked like an archway. Eon looked over his shoulder to see an odd group of inhabitants, what looked to be two small girls, one with short white hair; the other had horns and a young boy with glasses. The one with the horns caught his interest.

The one that brought me here, took me from my world. It would make sense that there would be others here from different worlds as well, which means different forms of life. Not impossible to believe when I consider my own creation in my own universe. There are going to be a lot alien beings here. He noticed a robbed figure, as it turned and noticed him, Eon's hand twitched as the being bore no face but 3 glowing eyes A lot of alien beings...

He checked himself over, he wore the same clothes he had been wearing... and with a great comfort he saw both his pistols, his brethren, were at his side. He could not find his cross but there was little time to worry about that, something caught his attention. A group of what appeared to be soldiers, clad in white armor and matching helmets, marched through the area. They would stop to talk to the other new arrivals, gesturing to a specific gate with their weapons and then back at them aggressively. Eon had seen this kind of thing before, "recruitment". He scanned the entirety of the area, 8 Archways seemed to be the only possible form of an exit. Which one? They were so far away, and if he tried to make a break for it the Recruiters would surely notice him. He turned calmly and begin walking towards the three children he'd notice earlier. They seemed like they had been in this world for a while, they seemed completely relaxed, unphased by the world around them.

Eon walked through their conversation, "Apologies, excuse me." He didn't want to start off on the wrong foot with anyone but he needed to put something between him and the soldiers. He thought of his next move. He continued walking, not looking behind him to draw attention. Time was a hard thing to gauge in this place, though he had counted nearly 600 steps from the fountain, 10 Minutes roughly? He stopped and slowly turned, the Recruiters had continued their business in an opposite direction. Eon knew he couldn't stay in this place. With new arrivals, and the fact that this place seemed to be the center point of this world he was brought to, it was only a matter of time before someone started a fight or forced him to join some alliance he wanted no part of. So he continued in a random direction.

Omnilium... what connects everything in this world... there would be nothing without it... I would be nothing without it... There is flesh and organs, beyond that cells, and beyond that atoms. Yet even atoms had to be made up of something. That something is that of my own creation. Energy. That being changed the very make up of my existence. He changed my core... no, all he did was alter it. I mastered my existence in my world and I will master my existence here. He drew his two brethren, There's a reason you stayed while the other did not. You are like me. We will figure this world out together. Placing them back in their holsters, he reached over 7000 steps and before him stood an archway, or in reality it was a gate. It was made of worn and eroded stone. Eon stared into the portal. He thought to look back, then thought better of it. This was his now, that was his then and he looked at his future. He took a step into the gateway. A FLASH... the sensation of heat, the taste of dry air, the familiar feel of sand beneath his feet. His eyes adjusted, "Home?"

(Hello readers. Not sure how or why, but I've been tasked with the job of narrating for this bear. Hope you're as excited as I am for his adventures into the Verses of Omni, or rather The Omniverse . I hope to do my best, and as always thanks for reading)

" Wrrrrrrrrrrrrrchirpwrrrrrrrrrrrrchirpwrrrrrrrrr... "

Light seemed to be everywhere in this realm and so Teddy's hat "chirped" and "wrrrrrr"ed. The "chirp"s were kind of like it's fan showing continual surprise at how much juice was feeding it. The "wrrrrrr"s were like the fan's version of "whoa nelly!"

"Wrrrrrchirpchirpchirpwrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrchirp"

Teddy is weakly walking in a figure 8. Or the in the shape of an eight. However you say how he was walking, that's what he was doing. Who the hell knows why.

"Chirrrrrwirpchirrrrrrrrrrr"

Now his damn hat switched to "chirrrr"s and "wirps", which who knows what that means. Man, that sound is annoying- anyway. He picked a direction. Northwest. Off he goes.

"NrRrRrRrRrRrRrRrRrr"

Really? This is like the worst sound. It's like someone who is so stupid happy that they make everyone in the room know it and they all know it's gonna take a downward turn at some point but there is no socially normative action at hand that would allow them to point this out nicely, and this sound is like the brain waves of them trying to attack what is happening in front of them... Or maybe I'm wrong.

"rrrrrrRrrrrrrRrrrrrrrRrrrrr"

I prefer this one honestly. And just so you know, I'll stop injecting my reactions to this bear's hat as soon as something of interest happens. So far we've got a bear, wearing a hat that makes sound and he's just walking Northwest, I don't know what else to add. Should I describe the bear? Is that what I should do? Literally, the most noteworthy thing is that this thing's hat is reacting to the weird physics of this place. And I don't know what the bear thinks of it, because it's a bear and this is english. I could personify the bear, but that would be a waste of time.. It's a bear.. Deal with it.

"chiirrrrrrrrroooooooeeeeeeeee"

I can't make a decent avatar, anyone willing to help?
Posted by: Soldier 75 - 01-20-2016, 10:52 PM - Forum: The Creative Corner - Replies (7)

I'm an amateur at drawing. It's the truth. I'm practicing, but for now, I humbly request assistance. If anyone would be so kind as to create an avatar or Everstorm, I would be deeply indebted to you. First off, for anyone interested, I'll provide a few details as to his appearance and disposition.

Eric appears to be in his early-twenties, although no one, not even himself, knows his true age.He has a slender build, with fair skin. His eyes are emerald-green, and his hair is dark brown, almost indistinguishable from black. This he wears short. The apparel he appears in when first entering the Omniverse is a dark-green loose-fitting robe made of a coarse material and with a hood that can be drawn around the head to disguise the facial features of the wearer. His heavy tan leather boots are extremely sturdy, and are imbued with magical properties. Eric is intelligent, and is somewhat of a scholar. But he can also be quite child-like at times. He tends to enjoy company, and is light-hearted.

Feel free to request further information here, or in a PM. And thank you to anyone who takes up this task, you are truly a good community.

Sweet, sweet bliss of eternal slumber... The blackness that envelopes all, the emptiness that washes away all worries, all aches and pains of the mortal coil... I must be in heaven... and this is my eternally young body...[i] And then his eyes open. If this was heaven, then maybe he was still at the gates, because it was awfully dark. Still, he felt so good, like he was sixty years younger, it was so strange.

His eyes fell upon a figure in the darkness. A stranger with no face, no features to speak of. It was like a dream, his unconscious mind trying to remind him of someone he just could not remember the face of... “My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

[i]Omniverse? So... this isn't Heaven?
He would have to contemplate this. It may not be heaven, but neither was it hell, by this Omni's words. When the featurless entity offers an orb of shimmering colors, he accepts it hastily, practically hoarding it for closer inspection.

“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most." His mind cast back, years into the past. This sounded a bit like... the Magic Stone... perhaps on steroids, but still. The concept was similar, a magical essence that imbued some with powers. And here he was, young and spry and holding this new power in his very hands.

"You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn." I'm immortal? The thought just added to his mounting excitement. “That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

Absolute night turns to absolute white, the world around him bleeds into existence and suddenly, he finds himself sitting beside a magnificent fountain. Reflects the wishes... of those a part of it... he mused for a moment. He clambers up to his knees to peer over the edge of the fountain.

What he finds is so bizarre. He remembered his face, but... it was strange. Young, yes, but stranger still. He touched his cheek, before the reflection of his hand draws his attention. His rugged goatee, his mess of dark brown hair... It was his face, but not. His dark eyes, so unlike the bright hazels he remembered yet so familiar. His hair, shaggy and brown, again so familiar yet so strange.

"I'm... Nimo? He looked like the actor that had played Nimo in the movies, right down to the rugged beard and brown overcoat. Wait... He reaches into his inner breast pocket... and out comes a cigar and a box of matches. "I really AM Nimo..." The memory of that victory quirk rushed back: He'd always smoke a celebratory cigar.

Well... I did just beat death... He sat on the edge of the fountain as he lit up the cigar. It tasted as stale as he as he wrote them to be. It was odd, how familiar it tasted, as if he had smoked one before. Of course, he never partook in anything tobacco. Hell, maybe I'm both... An amusing thought. Two deaths, one new life. It was a paradox that could keep his mind spinning for hours. Not that he'd be able to tell in this pristine world.

Character source: Shrek

Character history: Go here for the first film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrek. Second film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrek_2. Third one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrek_the_Third. Final film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrek_Forever_After.

Appearance:
Stats:
ATK: 3
DEF: 3
SPD: 1
TEC: 2

Starting Proficiencies: Physical Strength (1000), Ranged Proficiency (1000)

Starting Powers: None

Starting Moves: Roar (0), Match (900)

Roar (0) (Fodder)

Shrek lets out an enormous roar for intimidation purposes. It is 90 decibels loud.

Match (900) (Requires Ranged Proficiency)

The first use is one of an average match, being lit by rubbing against any non-flammable surface. The second use is the ability to launch fireballs. When Shrek burps for a short time while facing the match, a weak fireball races out. The diameter of this ball is 5 inches. Since he can control his burps, he can keep on launching fireballs as long as necessary. The third use is to launch a stream of fire. Shrek charges up his burp and releases a stream of fire from the match. Its maximum length is 10 feet. Both fire attacks last for 5 seconds.

I have been working on a project for my DECA chapter for the past three months now. Me and my partner are going to be role-playing venture capitalists trying to sell someone a business and/or product. We have come up with a music venue idea.

We have been elaborating on the idea that people spend so much time away from other people, having our faces crushed into some sort of screen. The idea of our business is to bring people together with music. That got me to thinking... Why does music bring people together?

Answer if you want. Just curious to see some people's reasons.
