Just out of curiosity... - Gwendolyn - 01-20-2016 I have been working on a project for my DECA chapter for the past three months now. Me and my partner are going to be role-playing venture capitalists trying to sell someone a business and/or product. We have come up with a music venue idea. We have been elaborating on the idea that people spend so much time away from other people, having our faces crushed into some sort of screen. The idea of our business is to bring people together with music. That got me to thinking... Why does music bring people together? Answer if you want. Just curious to see some people's reasons. I mean if you want my plain basic "roman" answer, music and merryment were ways of forgetting who you were for a short time. Everybody needs to disconnect from themselves and just exist in that moment from time to time. If you're looking for musical inspiration you want to look at Sting, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, anything from the Beatles, the list goes on and on. That's just from the last century. Mozart, Beethoven, Holst. These people spent/spend their lives trying to turn the human condition into music. I'm rambling now. |
