| Jams' Mindscape? |

A main part of how Jams' story goes revolves around him unlocking his memories. This is important to other characters as well, but I plan to tie it in a bit more heavily here. In order to make my writing a bit more interesting, would it be alright to create a "mindscape" within Jams' imagination? It would be sort of a small world that only his mind can access, and mostly just serves to provide some creative imagery for my own personal use. Beyond being a "visual" representation, it's the same basic idea as him reflecting over his thoughts. It would not interfere with any other verses in the slightest, although what it may do to Jams mentally is different.

In The Pale Moors a certain scent hung heavy in the thick acrid air. The smell of rot and corruption, the scent of devilry and death. Sour rain poured from the oppressive clouds. Even the ground turned against trespassers in this damned region. Sloppy muck and tangled weeds covered the Moors, everything inedible and inhospitable. The Moors pulsed with hostility, veins of profane magic sent evil through the very fabric of reality. Throngs of unholy monstrosities slaughtered the weak and carved pounds of flesh and sanity from the strong. No one was welcome here in this hellish landscape.
Even in this pace of death Strazio felt strangely at home. The electric hostility in the air formed goosebumps across his scarred skin. His tongue pressed against the inside of his gritted teeth. Without hesitation he began the long trek to Darkshire. Acrid rain soaked his cloak and soupy mud clung desperately to his boots. Even the rainstorms threatened travelers here in the Moors. Wind buffeted the scowling Defender, slowing his progress to a crawl and chilling the marrow in his bones. But despite the austere environment he felt a surge of purpose. Every slipped step in the mud only served to fuel his unquenchable rage, and it was that rage that pushed him ever further to Darkshire. If Shang was to be found in that haven Strazio would find him.
Ahead of him, only several meters out Strazio saw a hooded figure. Underneath the Avatar’s cloak the crackling of magick could be faintly heard. If this form was a foe there would be no respite for it. As Strazio neared his new acquaintance it called to him with a voice reminiscent of sandpaper.
“Oi! Are you friend or foe!?”
Strazio froze and shouted back through the downpour, “I’m a Defender of Darkshire, you tell me if we’re enemies!”
“Ahg, thank Omni a Defendah, I’m glad ta see one-a-ya, ya see I’m a scout for Darkshire.” He spoke in an accent that mangled his words and stitched the remains back together “I’m tryna make it back, but up ahead a--a creature keeps meh at bay. I’m no good at faightin, but iffen ya can killit I’d be appreciative.”
“You need me to kill something?” Strazio smirked, “I’m game, point me in the right direction.”
“That’s-tha spirit bigguy, justa follow me and I’ll show ya the beasty.”
A pair of meaty legs gave mobility to this creature. It lumbered aimlessly across the path to Darkshire. Strangely humanoid in appearance the monster howled and moaned and paid no mind to the approaching Strazio. Several rope-like arms protruded from a mass of pulsing flesh upon its back. Two sunken eyes smoldered deep in the creature’s skull. The hunchbacked monster seemed tortured by its own existence, what was once a man was now nothing more than an aberration of meat and sinew. Its beady eyes locked onto Strazio and a toothless grin greeted the approaching prime. From deep within the hunchback’s gullet came a baritone chuckle.
“Life feels good, everything feels good, please make the redwater come out.”

| Skyrim - The Legend of Aramis: The Beginning |

So, I've been writing down my experiences in Skyrim. I haven't been taking screenshots, because I can't do that in fullscreen, but I've done a decent-ish job of writing down what I've done thus far. I've cut out the in-betweeny walking parts, so it's like a written out in-character Let's Play. Sort of. Anyways, this is gonna be here in case anyone's interested, and maybe somebody is, because it seems like we have plenty of Elder Scrolls fans here. I'll keep adding stuff as time
This marks the beginning of a character-building exercise grand journey! I'll be documenting the adventures of Aramis, a wandering spellsword (because isn't every Skyrim character a spellsword) that woke up in a jail cell one day with zero memories. Aside from, of course, the ones that make her incredibly useful to have around in combat.
Each 'Experience' is a collection of related events or events that happened in quick succession. The 'Obtained' section shows vaguely what Aramis gained (or lost, maybe) as a character along with whatever material things she may have gained. Also, my sense of humour is not entertaining sometimes.
And lastly, my copy of Skyrim is really heavily modded to add new, interesting, weird, sometimes lore-friendly and sometimes not stuff. That being said, if you want to recommend mods, please, do so. Mods are great. I love mods. I may or may not put up a list of mods that actually change how the game works to a significant degree, but... effort. Pffffffft. WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, ONTO THE MESS OF THINGS AND STUFF.

Experience: Begins in a jail cell. Wishes to escape said cell. Wish is granted by a talking statue calling itself Mara inside the jail cell in the form of three lockpicks. She breaks all three attempting to pick the lock, as she has no previous experience picking locks. The door opens shortly after the failed attempts. The act is assumed the assistance of the Mara statue-thing.
Obtained: Freedom! Some degree of faith.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Ghosts chased Aramis out of the jail. She makes plans to head back someday whilst heading to a lumber mill nearby. She aids the head of the mill for a few days, gaining enough money for better clothes and a shabby sword in the process.
Obtained: Fear of ghosts, small sum of gold.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Kills some wolves heading to the nearest town of Kynesgrove. Takes furs for if/when she meets a leatherworker who might make her armor.
Obtained: Fur, aspirations.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Finds an old fort taken over by necromancers. After a brief skirmish in which she is vastly outnumbered and outmatched, she manages to kill two necromancers with her woodcutting axe and flees heavily injured.
Obtained: Underdog complex.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Heads across a nearby river to Kynesgrove. Meets a man who gives her an old widow's clothing and a guard who gives her a sword he had planned to sell in exchange for what little money she has. While looking for a direction to head in, she finds an abandoned hut in which she finds an unidentifiably wounded corpse. She loots the building before being chased out by a saber cat. Kills the saber cat and skins it.
Obtained: Old clothes, a less old sword. Loses gold then gets a little back.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Wanders off and into a forest. Hears a woman shouting for help. Follows the shouts to a pack of wolves. Kills the wolves, finds no sign of the voice's owner. Keeps searching, finds another saber cat. Kills the saber cat, ends up even more seriously wounded, finds the woman dead. She's a necromancer, presumably one from the nearby fort.
Obtained: Hero complex, a place on a PETA watchlist.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Enters a cave near where the dead woman was found. Slumps down on a wall before realizing that she's face-to-face with - guess who - a necromancer! She's attacked, but she comes out just barely on top. Suddenly she feels stronger than ever before for unknown reasons, but she's ultimately pushed out of the cave by angered inhabitants. She notes how unsettling she finds the sound of an alchemy apparatus.
Obtained: Cynicism towards necromancers, feeling of disgust toward Alchemy.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Finds dwemer ruins. Finds odd things in a storeroom inside. Finds a corpse of, based off of notes on the body, a scholar. Proceeds farther, finds newfound hatred for dwarven spiders. Proceeds farther, finds newfound fear of chaurus hunters. Flees on elongated sight of one, does not engage in combat.
Obtained: Admiration of Dwemer, peculiar shard-thing.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Returns to Kynesgrove. Smelts down some old dwarven metal pieces, heads to Windhelm to sell them. Arrives late at night, gets a room at the inn and sleeps until the late morning.
Obtained: An absurd amount of dwarven metal ingots.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Sells some old dwarven stuff to a general store. Apparently somebody wants what she's selling, because they sell pretty well. With the money Aramis purchases an intriguing sword, some traveling clothes and some food for the road.
Obtained: LOADSAMONEY, actually cool sword, semi-cool clothing.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Encounters a lonely girl selling flowers. Buys the whole basket for all of the gold she has left, with the exception of three septims. Talks with the girl for a while, shares a piece of bread over the conversation and then promises to return someday.
Obtained: Sympathy level increased from B to A, lots of flowers, poverty.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Travels along the road for a while. Walks past a few farms. Sees a heavily-beaten path up the mountain. It ends at a point where she has to climb, so she climbs. Reaches what looks like some kind of cult's hideaway, though it's abandoned and clearly anyone who had stayed put was burned or killed in some gruesome way. Leaves from fear that the same fate might come to her.
Obtained: Disdain towards cults, fear of cults, seriously cults are weird.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Finds a fort of some kind. Stopped at the gate by not quite active-aggressive sentry, who explains that the fort is an Orc Stronghold, governed by the Daedric Prince Malacath. Asks who Malacath is, immediately forgets the definition.
Obtained: Knowledge of Malacath.
Immediately lost: Knowledge of Malacath.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Returns to the lumber mill she 'started' at. Now properly-equipped, she sets off to find the prison she awoke in. Stumbles into a military fort overtaken by necromancers - no, not the one she got nearly killed in, but a different one. Clears it out, finds records stating that it's Fort Amol. A Stormcloak camp nearby takes the opportunity to occupy the fort, though Aramis is gone before any exchange of words happens.
Obtained: Sense of nostalgia.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Finds the abandoned prison. She struggles to fight the ghosts within, though she somehow manages. An absurdly strong ghost poses a particularly serious threat to her, but he drops dead just before he can bring down a killing blow on her. She has no idea what to think of the event, so she loots what she can from the place and leaves.
Obtained: Numerous looty objects, even more weird occurrences.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Wanders along a path for a while. It breaks off and leads to an odd-looking structure, so Aramis decides to investigate. Meets a man whose family uses the structure as an ancestral tomb. A necromancer is using said ancestors to do his bidding, so Aramis decides to help the man's ancestors back to 'Sovngarde'. Never asks what Sovngarde is. At least three instances of enemies dropping dead for no real reason are noted, though the man sees none of them.
Obtained: An affinity for Restoration Magic, holy crap am I going to be a cult leader with all this spooky stuff. Also, LOADSAMONEY.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Runs into an Orc that wants a 'good death'. After trying to talk him out of it, Aramis decides to do the merciful thing and grant him that death, as he'll allow her to do nothing better. He puts up a fight, but Aramis ends up victorious and with very few injuries.
Obtained: A feeling of guilt. Also, some gold, because he won't be needing it where he's going.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Walks along the path longer and finds a tower. A woman donning furs claims it's a toll road, though she seems less than confident in her words. After lying about not having enough money, the toll road hostess reveals herself as a bandit and attacks Aramis. Aramis clears out the bandits.
Obtained: Lots of death.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Finds a giant camp. Aramis tries to open up friendly relations with the giants, though they can't seem to talk. She offers a few things she doesn't need and is given odd cheese. She leaves with a full stomach and a little rest.
Obtained: Mammoth cheese.
Lost: A few gemstones.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Finds a cave. Upon trying to enter the cave, Aramis is nearly shot in the back with an arrow, though the shot misses. After killing her assailant, she finds a letter on him, which she takes but doesn't yet read. She then enters the cave, where a presumably blind man sits at a table. He asks if she's a man named Rodulf, Aramis assumes (correctly) that Rodulf was the man who had just attacked her, and impersonates him to the best of her ability. She succeeds, then empties the cave of bandits. However, she brings the blind man to the nearest town of Whiterun.
Obtained: Guilt level increased from C to B. Ulfr's book (which is completely blank).
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: While walking Ulfr to Whiterun, Aramis sees a group of people fighting a giant that had presumably been raiding a farm nearby. She joins the fight, is called a 'decent Shield-Sister', which she inquires upon further before declaring disinterest in joining a group of mercenaries. A courier stops her before she walks away, gives her a letter from the Jarl of a land called Falkreath. She decides to seek out the sender after fetching materials and selling some of the loot she got on her travels.
Obtained: Disinterest in mercenaries, knowledge of the Companions, faint admiration of Aela the Huntress.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Experience: Did some trading in Whiterun. Slept in the inn, did some more trading. Unloaded a bunch of things she really didn't need, then a few things she might need, then sold off any extra food she had that was going to spoil soon. Bought new food for her next adventure. Commissioned a new sword with some gold, silver and steel she bought. Gave Ulfr enough gold to last about a month in the local inn and wished him luck. Got weird looks on the way out of the inn - it probably had something to do with the impersonation.
Obtained: Gilded Crusader's Sword, loadsa noms, LOADSA MONEY.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Character Sheet
Aramis - Level 9 Spellsword
Equipped with:
-Investigator's Set
(Coat, Dustcloak, Boots, Gloves)
-Gilded Crusader's Sword
Abilities:
-Voice of the Emperor
-Healing
-Lesser Ward
-Cure Disease/Poison
(I plan to get Healing Hands and probably will very soon because when i have long-term allies i want to be able to heal them)
Next Time: We're off to see the Jarl, the wonderful Jarl of Falkreath~
EDIT: I have Aramis pictures! She's probably gonna change now and then, so as she does I'll post newer pictures. Here's her as of the last time I played.
![[Image: SpLX0F6.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/SpLX0F6.jpg)
Aramis from the front with her sword on her back. I'm kind of iffy on her armor - it feels out of place in Skyrim, so it might change. I'll take recommendations!
![[Image: BadIw1D.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/BadIw1D.jpg)
In case you're curious about what Aramis' sword looks like, there it is. It's called the Gilded Crusader's Sword, though I'll probably change it to something more unique when I get around to having things enchanted. Or I might replace it, who knows? Unfortunately, it doesn't have a cool sheath - it just has the iron sword leather strap sheath-thing, which is why Aramis wears a cape.
Currently playing and writing more. I'll be back with something soon-ish! Hopefully! Maybe! I'unno. *Shrug*

Not a real big thing here, but while I was going over powers with Orihime she noticed something kind of funny.
Quote:Super Jumping
Super Jumping allows characters to transcend humanity's natural leaping limitations. Not only can those with Super Jumping jump higher, but they can also 'double jump' by kicking off vertical surfaces.
Basic – 300 OM
Allows you to jump up to 10 metres high.
and
Quote:Master Acrobat – 400 OM
Allows you to perform handstands, flips and cartwheels with ease, even while attacking or defending.
For 100 less OM than it takes to do a cartwheel you can bound up to 10 meters or 32 feet in the air. Lol. Maybe make Basic jump more or Acrobat less? xD

The ground below you drops off into nothingness and the world arounds you shrinks into a faded black. Time passes as you continue falling deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole. Until you come to a sudden stop onto a marble ground. You push yourself off the ground and you see the gorgeous marble palace around you. The grecian, marble columns, the crystal clear blessing pool and a statue of the greek god Artemis standing with a bow and quiver on her back.
More importantly you see a floating, blue visage of an old man smiling at you. His hair is long and braided and there are bags beneath his eyes seeming that he hasn’t slept for literal ages.
“Greetings Champion. I am the mighty Hero Teucer and I have chosen you to help me in this quest to release me and to let my spirit rest in peace. I was slain in this land in a war a long long time ago. I should be resting in the Elysian Fields but that evil warlock cursed my soul onto six relics that you must retrieve for me.” The spirit floated over to the middle of the pool in which there is a small table which looks as if it has a placeholder for these items.
“The relics are scattered throughout the island and are protected by powerful guardians who have been set forth by the Warlock. Please...help release my spirit by bringing all six relics here to the temple. Once I am released I will give whoever brings me all six one of the relics and will imbue it with great power. I chose you because of your valiance and honor as a fighter and I believe that you will be the one to free me. If you have any questions I will be here as long as I’m recruiting others. Please save me.”
The Spirit walks away and sits, staring forlornly at the Statue of Artemis.

Yuno's father stayed away at work until the late hours and barely interacted with his family. Yuno's mother began to abuse her, wanting her to become the "perfect citizen", eventually locking her in a cage and timing everything she did, from sleeping to eating.Eventually, Yuno snapped and managed to imprison her parents in the cage as punishment. However, she neglected to check in on her parents and they starved to death. Not removing the corpses from her house, Yuno began to act like they were still alive and talked to them, her home's electricity cut off due to unpaid bills. Yuno fell into despair, to the point as was put in detention at school to write up her dreams for the future. Not having any dreams, Yuno turned to the only other person in the classroom: Yukiteru. Asking him what his dreams were, Yuno learnt Yukiteru wished to go stargazing with his parents who had recently divorced. His dreams seemingly ruined, Yuno suggested seeing the stars with him. While Yukiteru objected to going with her instead of his family, Yuno proposed becoming his "bride". Believing Yuno to be joking, Yukiteru agreed but only when the pair grew up. However, in Yuno's view, she believed Yukiteru was serious and her whole life became focused on him. Observing him from afar, Yuno stalked Yukiteru. A week after their meeting, Yuno learned Yukiteru had a love letter, planning to give it to fellow student Moe Wakaba. Realising her chances to be with Yukiteru were in jeopardy, Yuno dressed herself up in a pink rabbit costume to stop Yukiteru from giving Moe the letter. Her attempt ultimately failed, but Moe kindly rejected Yukiteru's feelings towards her. Relieved, she kept stalking him. one day at school yuno gets the Yukiteru diary which predicts what yuki will do every 10 minutes in the style of how she writes about yuki a couple of days later yuno is pulled into the omniverse after killing someone who was looking at yuki then her diary reset to the observer diary (yukis diary)

Other dimensions. A strange concept to be sure, but Shrek had come across them a few times before, what with racing in Madagascar Kartz and Super Star Kartz. But this place was different. There were no people, no buildings. It wasn't even ruin. It was pure blackness.
Shrek was tragically sucked in through a window in space-time when he least expected it, taking an evening stroll alone.
The ogre could still see himself, though, in this strange land. He tried calling out for Fiona and the kids. While his mouth moved, his vocal cords would not comply. A strange luminescent man that was radiating light also came out of a portal to this strange place.
He talked to Shrek about a place called the Omniverse, and how he, Omni, was responsible for Shrek's current plight.
Shrek was supposed to be the scariest thing in the land, but he was afraid of this... this... spirit or god that was controlling his body so Shrek would'not attack. Omni handed him an orb that felt like glass, but shimmered like neon. All the colors of the light spectrum shone on it.
Omni Wrote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.
“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.
“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

The Sage awoke, and could not see the sky. He was outside, there was no way he could be inside, there were not enough echoes from the surrounding area for anything to be nearby. He sat up, and looked around. There was no way he could be outside though, there was only whiteness around him, and the hourglass. It was large and imposing, the sand continued to seep down from the top towards the bottom, the soft sliding sound continued past him and out into the whiteness beyond him. He was vaguely aware of the sounds of people, yelling from far away, but it was almost immediately lost in the intervening space. He looked around, but there was only white to be seen. They sounded so far away, their voices drowned in the rushing sand and the vast expanses of white.
This is not the world you know...
The grinning face flashed in his mind, and he jolted to his feet. He felt unbalanced, the floor was incredibly smooth, and his soft shoes slid slightly...
What is this made out of, anyway? he thought to himself. He reached down to touch the floor, then froze as there was a clicking sound from behind him.
“You a new prime?” came a static-distorted voice from behind him. The sage turned around in surprise and found himself facing the end of a rifle. He instinctively jumped backwards and the white-clad soldier tensed, tracing his motion with the rifle. “Move again and I'll see you every three days for the rest of your sorry existence, pal!”
“Easy Baratori, he's not gonna understand that. He's not a threat yet, he doesn't have any weapons. We can get him peaceful-like.” There was another soldier a little farther back, he seemed far more nonchalant, holding his rifle easily and comfortably.
The first one, Baratori, shot him a glance but continued to keep the rifle steady. “Oh Yeah? What if he's got some sorta powers? You think about that, Cantor? I overheard Belren in the mess yesterday! He was talking about a shadow that controlled his mind!” The stormtrooper turned his full attention back to the new prime. “ Now, are you a new prime pal? You got any Omnilium on you? Speak up!”
Cantor cursed, and leveled his rifle “That's a lot of Camee's coming this way Baratori! We need to get the prime and get out, if he even is a prime.” He began to fire his rifle at the enemy, though they were still a good half-mile away.
Baratori also began to fire at the warriors, though their shields deflected the few blasts that reached them. “This is Trooper TK 5835 Requesting Backup at the Fountain, we have a potential prime in custody, and multiple Kingdom Swordsmen converging on our location. Requesting Extraction STAT!”
One of the swordsmen went down with a shot to the leg, but there were still half a dozen of them, and they were nearly there.
Just think of what you desire most.
The Sage concentrated, he needed a weapon, these men did not seem to be friends of his, and he doubted that the Swordsmen would be any better. He needed to be able to defend himself. As if on call, a small globe that looked strangely familiar rose from his palm and hovered in his hand. A weapon, I need to be able to fight!
The small globe began to glow.
But nothing happened.
“Hey! Quit that, Prime!” The butt of Baratori's rifle smacked him across the face and sent him sprawling.
“Idiot, you think we'd ignore you for three whole minutes? Do we look like conscripts or something?” The stormtrooper turned back to fire at the approaching enemy.
The Sage struggled back up to a nonthreatening crouch, he was too out of his element to do much here, he would have to be very careful about how he handled this.
Two more swordsmen were down, but the rest had closed the gap. Baratori and Cantor were using electrostaffs to fend them off, but they were outnumbered two to one. As the Sage watched, one of the Swordsmen found a gap in Cantor's armor, and the blade slid home sharply. Cantor collapsed, and Baratori positioned himself with his back to the fountain.
He should run.
The Sage got to his feet and began to sprint away from the fight as quickly as he could. The shriek hit him first, and he saw the speck approaching fast. Its sound was a whine that rent the air as it passed. He heard shouts of dismay from the swordsmen. It must be friendly to the White soldiers. He looked around for a place to hide, but there was nothing, only the hourglass, the sand continuing to flow down.
Cantor was sprawled on the ground, and blood was seeping out onto the white floor, but it was fading rather fast, faster than he felt like it should for how solid the floor felt.
A weapon!
The Sage tried again to focus, and again the orb rose from his palm, but again nothing happened. The speck had closed the distance fast, and he could see another of the white soldiers atop the mechanism. I don't have the time for this! He thought, and began to sprint towards one of he fallen swordsmen.
The engine of the speeder-bike throbbed in his ears. There was a strange sound and a searing pain arced across his back. He sprawled on the white ground, and darkness closed in on his vision.
“Trooper TK3359 reporting, I have apprehended the rogue prime. TK5835 and TK2184 reported deceased. Hostile targets are fleeing. Returning to Base.”
The Sage felt himself lifted, and deposited on the mechanism, then he slipped into unconsciousness.
