Character name: Hatate Himekaidou
Character source: Touhou Project
Character history: Driven to starvation by the dwindling fear humans felt for them, the myths and monsters of the world created a safe haven for themselves. Deep within the wilderness of Japan, sealed off from the rest of the world for hundreds of years, lies this safe haven, Gensokyo, land of illusion.
Hatate Himekaidou hails from one of the many monster groups within Gensokyo, the Tengu society of Youkai Mountain. Here, Hatate runs a rather unknown newspaper, the Kakashi Spirit News. Filled with well-written articles, complete with pictures taken by her Thoughtography, her ability to take pictures of anywhere from within the comfort of her home, it by all means should sell well. If not for the fact that she can only cover events that have happened, not as they’re happening. It makes her newspaper a little behind the times. No one wants to read about news late.
To make matters even worse, a rival newspaper, the Bunbunmaru, written by Aya Shameimaru, sells well. The Bunbunmaru’s success perplexes Hatate, as it relies more on flashy pictures and attention-grabbing headlines than well-revised articles. So Hatate set out, taking note from Aya’s success, and began reporting events as they happened rather than after the fact.
With new found determination for her career, and a willingness to adapt to a new opponent in order to compete for readers, the sudden burst of activity was just starting to gain momentum before being stopped in its tracks by a void and a white silhouette

Stats:
ATK: 1
DEF: 1
SPD: 5
TEC: 3
Starting Proficiencies: Ranged Proficiency (1000), Area Attack Proficiency (600)
Starting Powers: Super Speed (1000), Flight (1800)
Starting Moves:
Thoughtography Camera (Ranged, Area) (600): Hatate’s Thoughtography Camera is a small, yellow-checkered device in the shape of an old flip-phone, though with significantly less functionality. Acting almost solely like a camera, she uses it to take pictures of events she could write an article on. These “events” often include less-than-cooperative people, and this camera can be used to defend herself while simultaneously taking pictures of her attacker.
Combat: Upon taking a shot, the camera flashes with magic, instantly doing damage to whatever would come out as a clear picture. The damage takes the form of a light-based burn, similar to sunburn or a powerful spotlight. She won’t get a clear picture if she just shoots willy-nilly, the focus and zoom must be adjusted between shots dependent upon where her subject is. This adjustment can take anywhere between a moment to two seconds depending on how much she has to adjust it. Zoom in too far (15 meters), and the picture becomes overexposed, ruining the shot. Accounting for zoom and focus, the area of clear shot is always 2 meters by 4 meters, or reversed if she’s taking a landscape picture. After taking a picture, there’s a one second delay before she can take the next one as the camera automatically stores the picture taken and resets the zoom and focus. The active memory of the camera can hold up to 1,500 pictures, after which she can’t take any more and must sort through the camera, deleting the bad pictures and moving the useful ones to a more permanent storage. This is still an obscene amount, and she likely won’t run out of memory.
Rapid Shot: By changing a setting on her camera, Hatate is able to take 5 pictures in extremely rapid succession. Zoom and focus cannot be adjusted while the phone is in rapid-shot mode, and is automatically locked to focus on the area up to 5 meters in front of her. Due to the increased amount of pictures that need to be store, the one second delay as the camera stores the pictures is increased to three seconds, but rather than happening between pictures, it occurs after each rapid shot barrage.
Fodder: Unless Hatate sets the focus wrong for the shot, the picture always seems to come out crystal clear, unaffected by motion-blur. Perfect for a high-speed photo-op. Pictures taken are stored in the device’s memory so she can sort through them later. She can adjust the flash so that pictures she takes are harmless, such as if she’s interviewing someone who is cooperative. Though if she does this, she has to remember to turn it back later. With time and energy, Hatate is able to use her inherent Thoughtography to "print" the the pictures from her camera onto paper.

A smirk appeared on the Spirit face, he was almost free. He could almost feel the fresh air on his skin and the cold brisk sea hitting his face. He again spoke to the heroes.
"Yes Heroes! You are victorious! It seems my warning was indeed correct, the flood has occurred! However, none of you are injured. Unfortunately, I sense the magic gathering above me. I would heavily suggest you leave the temple space. I hope you are all alright and may you assist one another in killing these guardians."
As his voice died down he smiled. Fresh air soon.
Quote: New Phase, Starvation has hit all primes who have not hunted yet.
Floods have hit all spaces next to water and will remain so until the next phase.
A Storm has appeared over the Temple(H8) and all spaces with a radius of 2 will be underneath the effect of the storm. Storms effect- Your character will receive HEAVY damage if they are within the space
The storm will last one phase

The change of scenery was appreciated by the robot. The hospital white void of the Nexus made way for the dark and simply evil atmosphere of the Pale Moors as Aspect made his way out of the gate. Directly ahead he could see the edge of what he assumed was Darkshire, the biggest town in the Pale Moors and definitely a place to avoid for now. Aspect remained motionless on his Crawler for a moment as he scoured the Dataverse for any geographical information or even maps on the place but found even the Dataverse sorely lacking in that regard. For a moment, Aspect wondered if everyone here was as new to all of this as he was seeing as how nobody had really provided anything useful on the Dataverse so far, apart from some vague descriptions on the different verses and the main points in each one.
The robot, kneeling on the platform of his Crawler remained motionless underneath his large and covering sandy brown cloak, the red strip of light flickering lightly as he processed data from the Dataverse. The large mechanical four legged Crawler underneath him remained motionless, waiting for orders as if frozen in time. Suddenly the cloak covered robot raised his head and the Crawler counter balanced the motion with small movements of its body.
Looking around him, Aspect's visual receivers picked up on the dark sky above and the sorry state of the land around him. Other programs told him that the temperature was colder here than in Camelot and the Nexus and that it was sometime in the middle of the afternoon. He hadn't been able to code a good time and date measurement program yet. Another person had come through the gate before him and Aspect looked around to try and find any trace of them. If he knew which way that person had gone, he could probably avoid them if required. A quick scan of the ground told him absolutely nothing. It was disturbed by movement, that was for sure, but Aspect couldn't tell the difference between any tracks or natural mud movements or potential Dracula Horror Monster movements.

As a young man trying to find his way in the world,I often find myself asking questions and then not really recording suitable answers. Just for fun, I'm just gonna stick all the ones I can think of right here. Please try and answer some of them. Or don't. Sometimes that is answer enough.
1. I don't understand why people seem to stick around in relationships that aren't at all good for them. Why do people do that?
2. Why have people lost touch with the world? I know that I'm partially guilty of this, but why do people always have their faces stick into some kind of screen. Why not speak to someone in person, rather than through a text bubble?
3. Why is it so hard to tell someone the truth? I have several friends who like to task about each-other being one another's back. And I always want to say something, but....reasons.
4. Is there such a thing as being too nice?
5. Why is it so hard for people to get along with one another?
Anyway, that's my first set of questions, if anybody finds the time to answer them, I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The Crawler's first leg passed through the portal back into the Nexus area barely a few hours after it had first disappeared. The rest soon followed, carrying Aspect through the gate. Loaded with plenty more data to work with now, Aspect had a more informed view of the situation. The gates lead to different parts of the Omniverse, each one different from the others. Some highly advanced, others magical and even some completely inhospitable towards everyone and everything not from it. But Aspect had found a curious notion in the Dataverse that he had decided to check out and so he was on his way to find out.
The Nexus was as white and empty as it was when he first arrived, no changes there. Aspect turned his visual receptors towards the South focusing on his next stop. He had gathered the information from Camelot already and he was now on route to the next and closest stop, the Pale Moors. A unique place to say the least. Aspect wondered what sort of creatures he would find there after reading pages about the horrors of life in the Pale Moors. In charge of the Pale Moors was a creature named after a highly romanticized character from an ancient book called 'Dracula'. While humans from his Earth believed in its existence enough to still make movies about it after 1515 years, Aspect wasn't bothered.
If it really was the same blood drinking European immortal as the one from the books and movies then Aspect had little interest in it. As the Crawler continued to stamp its way to the Pale Moors gate, Aspect went over the data he had obtained so far. It wasn't very useful on it's own. In fact, it simply wasn't useful at all. None of the important questions had been answered so far.
