I don’t remember much. Feelings. Fragments. None of them coalesce.
I’m standing in a pool in what seems to be a great, white vastness. The Nexus. I remember that much. But why am I here? It’s all so familiar, I remember –

As I step out of the pool, my clothes seem to drip and dry instantly. I’ve definitely been here before. But where did I go? And what did I do?

Character name:
Sorvantes
Character source:
Original
Character history:
Sorvantes was a god among gods so to speak, even more so at the top of his food chain. He was given the only rank worthy of his power and responsibilities, Alpha Omega.
for more than four centuries he protected Earth from demons, gods, angels, even other demigods like him, until he phazed out of existence and appeared in this strange white world, having met Omni and understood the situation. He always handicapped himself when he fought creatures in his dimension but being sent into this new world stripped him of his power save for his pseudo-immortality and his proof of power, his black wings. Now that he's weaker, he lost much of his unnatural dexterity and skill that comes with his power, however he finds he still retains a vestige of his physical strength.
Physical Description: (originals only)
https://cdna2.artstation.com/p/assets/im...1438839995
Sorvantes looks not a day over 20 but despite his appearance, he's survived a solid 400 years of fighting and killing, granting him mountains of experience when it comes to fighting and taciturn planning. He has normal hazel eyes now that he lost his powers, medium-length black hair, an appealing visage with nice proportions and a physically fit body that looks ripped but hides levels of power unbeknownst to others. He's short, reaching 171 cm but that usually weighs to his advantage in fights when people underestimate him.
When he really seriously joins a fight in earnest, he plummets down in the fray in a full set of pitch black armour with some red lines etched under some spaces.

1.A nameless, yet, extremely large great sword, reaching over Sorvantes in length and almost his width in size, infused with the power demons from the constant slaying of demon blood - 300 OM
2. Soul Wave, A mass of condensed black energy emanating from the sword when swung, and can be charged with even more energy as long as there is left to spare, however, this obviously depletes the energy pool so consecutive slashes will tire the user out exponentially. - 600 OM

Character name: Celestia
Character source: MLP: FiM
Character history:
The precise details of Celestia’s origin are essentially unknown. What details there are she keeps very to her chest, telling few if any. What is known, is that she was a formative member of Equestria very early in its history. The first records of note are those in which she and her sister Luna defeated the chaos god Discord. With no one else ready to take charge of the nation following the chaos god’s defeat, Celestia and her sister took charge. The early years of her leadership were fraught with conflicts however, as many powerful beings arose to threaten the fledgeling nation. Most notably Luna, who was overcome by jealousy and succumbed to a dark power.
Over time however, Celestia outfought and later outmaneuvered all the major threats to Equestria, and lead the nation into an era of relative peace. Celestia did her best to guide her subjects into this era, and while doing so tried to foster independence. She remained a central figure in Equestrian politics and history, but she preferred to act as an instructor or mediator, providing advice or helping negotiate a solution rather than directly solving the problems she encountered.
Peace could only last so long. A great many enemies had been sealed rather than outright destroyed, and the time was coming when they would break free. The future was an unpredictable place, and while she would protect and aid Equestria as long as she was able, she knew she couldn’t rely on only herself. So she set about choosing a successor, choosing a promising young unicorn and taking her on as a personal pupil. And it was just in time too, as no sooner had Celestia done so that old enemies began to return.
Beyond this, Celestia can only remember one moment of her history with particular clarity: in her previously final moments, she faced off against a great evil, although she can’t remember its nature. Celestia herself fell, but her allies did not. She feels confident that although she is lost to Equestria, she left behind capable ponies who can carry on in her place.
All the same, given that she has inexplicably survived, if she can find a means to get back to Equestria she will take it.
Physical Description:
Celestia is a tall, slender equine with an alabaster coat and an ethereal mane with a mix of pink, teal and green.

Stats:
ATK: 2
DEF: 3
SPD: 1
TEC: 4
Starting Proficiencies: Ranged Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency, Area Shield Proficiency (2000)
Starting Powers: Flight (1800)
Starting Moves: (1200)
Cauterize (300): An intense, fast-firing, thin ray of heat. The smaller width means it’s less taxing to cast and requires less time to build up energy for casting, but the smaller size requires increasingly precise aim to hit a target as they get farther away. The beam fades in power over distance, and has an effective range of approximately the length of one stadium.
Flare (300): A sudden wave of intense heat and force, firing off in a cone away from the user, reaching a distance of about 5 body-lengths away. Such an unfocused attack loses energy quickly, and thus has a very short range for a non-melee attack, but it can be very useful for catching approaching enemies by surprise, escaping being surrounded, or catching out a nearby, evasive enemy. Some of the energy is spent knocking afflicted individuals away, and thus overall damage is reduced.
Sunwall (300): Creates a sphere of heat and force around Celestia, large enough to comfortably include a couple other beings. The barrier itself has limited durability, but has a backlash effect which harms enemies that stand nearby or attempt to attack the barrier with melee attacks.
Meteor (300): A magical mass of rock and fire flung toward a location. When it arrives at the designated point, or should it collide with anything prior to doing so, it explodes, covering the area around it in a burst of energy and shrapnel. The projectile itself is relatively slow moving, though with clever timing can catch an opponent off guard, and it takes a moment of charging to cast. The mass is short lived, the shrapnel doesn't last more than a few seconds after the explosion. The rock mass can potentially hit anything Celestia can see, but making the projectile go farther requires more energy and a longer charge time, and the slow projectile speed gives targets more than a block away ample time to dodge or block.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

Referral by a chat buddy.
While I'm here, could I get a confirmation on something? I want to make sure I'm not accidentally crippling the character.
Does high TEC actually help a character with this build? My impression is that it helps with non-damaging effects, and maybe with accuracy and unconventional uses of attacks (i.e. suppressing fire, or using explosive attacks use the environment to attack or block the enemy.), but to be honest I still don't feel like I fully understand what that stat governs.
I also have no idea what the standard ranges are, so if the ones I came up with for moves are too long or short for their purposes please let me know.

Gaige squinted at the strange-looking man in front of her. Her trigger finger was itching, and enough animosity had been tossed about just now for her to feel truly angry.
"Soooo..." she frowned, "What are you supposed to be? Some sorta... scarecrow?"
"My name is Dr. Jonathan Crane. You will not-"
"Bored!"
Gaige opened fire on Dr. Crane. Her oversized Jakobs shotgun kicked back, nearly flying right out of the teenager's hands. The scattered pellets ripped through the villain's clothes, but most of them flew harmlessly past. Gaige cursed under her breath, pulling out a new clip of shotgun rounds. At that moment, Scarecrow dropped a grenade of some sort, then fled.
"Get back here-"
The grenade detonated, filling Gaige's nostrils with a foul smell. She knew that smell. From a long time ago. Before the Omniverse. Something from back home. The smell of burning hairs and fury.
"WARRRIOORRRRRR"
Gaige turned around. Where her crew was just moments ago, instead stood Handsome Jack and the legendary beast known as the Warrior.
"How are you alive?!" Gaige screamed as she ducked, narrowly dodging a fireball from the fierce Eridian prisoner, "I watched Lilith burn your fake friggin' face off-"
"I HAVE THE SHINIEST MEAT BICYCLE"
Gaige turned to see a bad-ass psycho hollering into the air. He raised his makeshift buzz-saw axe, ready to crush skulls. In this case, the skull belonged to none other than Gaige's father.
"Why aren't you stopping him?!?" Gaige's father shrieked as the buzz-saw entered his scalp. The blade of the axe started spinning, spewing blood and brains all over Gaige.
"DADDY!" the teenager screamed in horror. Her father's lifeless eyes poured of his sockets and he inexplicably wailed post-mortem. The bad-ass psycho then swung the axe at Gaige's throat. Gaige choked and grabbed at her neck, only to realize there was no wound. The psycho leaned in and screamed something unintelligible at the girl.
Gaige whipped out her shotgun and fired it at the psycho's chin. Her ECHO device flashed "Critical!" in red letters as the psycho collapsed. Gaige turned to look for the Scarecrow.
"Okay, that was freaky."
She started sprinting after the once-psychologist, furious. She jerked her left wrist, initiating the motion sequence to summon Deathtrap. The arm started whirring.
"Hehe," the teenager grinned, "Number Five..."
With a sweeping motion, she swung her arm upwards and shouted, "ALIVE!" As she did so, Deathtrap digistructed, tessellating into existence from bright blue three-dimensional pixels. The grungy and bloody floating death machine had arrived. And its first move after being summoned was to tilt its head adorably at Gaige, not quite understanding what was supposed to happen. There were no hostile elements nearby, after all.
The robot shrugged and began cuddling with Gaige.
"DT? No, no, not now, DT, this is not- this is never comfortable. You are made of metal. This hurts. We are fighting right now, DT. Kill mode. KILL MODE!"
On cue, a creepy-ass laugh resonated from deeper within the cave, presumably from Dr. Crane. DT's eye flashed from blue to red.
"That's better," Gaige muttered, patting her robot on the shoulder. "Come on, boy. Let's get 'em."
In a flash, Deathtrap zoomed forward through the tunnel. Gaige followed, digistructing her smig into her palms. A few seconds later, she heard Dr. Crane cry out in pain. Gaige followed the noise, looking down the sights of her gun.
After a moment, Deathtrap returned to her, whimpering and holding his arm. Gaige sighed.
"Don't worry, boy, I'll get you another one."
The Scarecrow approached the Vault Hunter from behind cover. He didn't seem to have sustained an injury, but he certainly was in pain.
"Very good. But can you fight without siccing your metal beast on your enemies?"
Gaige shrugged. "Probably."
She started firing her gun again, forcing Scarecrow to retreat behind cover once more. Bullets rebounded off the walls of the tunnel, some narrowly missing Gaige herself. After she emptied the clip, she tossed a shock grenade to where Scarecrow was.
There was no way she was going to lose.

So for those that do not know next to the text colour there is a little A with a stop sign , if you like I do write your posts in another program like Microsoft word or google docs I suggest using it on your entire post as it seems that for some reason, when you copy and paste from them it messes up the word count Nep just had this happen in their latest fight post where it showed 300
More words. And I have noticed it before too.

Koal stared into his opponent's ocean eyes. They were killing every fiber of his person, like claws digging into the soul. He was waiting for an order to attack, but then again, who was even commanding him? He tensed his muscles and Dawn quickly grabbed her rifle. It was obvious he was about to charge from that stance. His feet were apart and calves looked tensed. He shot forward towards the small, ebony haired youth. She flinched back, not having enough time to shoot, and put some distance between them. As much as they should have, no else reacted as the two started their brawl. They continued to stand and stare each other down until someone was given an order, or another sneak attack was made.
The two stared down for a few seconds longer before Dawn took off and ran in the opposite direction down the cave hallway. The confused Koal quickly followed behind her. She was quick and light on her feet. She maneuvered through the cave like she knew exactly she knew exactly where she was going, or she was just able to get around the corners fast. Most likely both.
“Stop running you coward! Fight me!” He yelled from behind. Dawn did not respond, but soon he was exactly where she wanted him. She had led him all the way back to the cave entrance. They were back outside in the freezing cold snow. The blizzard had vanished, so it was mostly clear now. As she made it outside, Dawn quickly turned to the side and waited for Koal to run out. Expecting she would keep running, Koal turned the corner into her trap. The assassin jumped on him, kicking him to the ground pressing Epsilon Oriens to his chest and blowing a bullet into his left shoulder. He reacted fast swinging his sword at her side, but she was too fast. The blade dug into her forearm, tearing her right sleeve off and straight through her pale skin. Koal stood up dislodging the bullet from his chest and looked down at his wound. Blood dripped down his chest and stained his shirt.
“You’ve lived a horrible life haven’t you?” Dawn’s voice crept into Koal’s ears again. Already he hated the sound of it.
“What’s it to you?. Maybe I have had a rough time, but what does that have to do with right now?” He replied, his eyes burned red.
“It has everything to do with right now. I know what it’s like to hurt and I can see that pain in those horrible eyes. The soul can be scarred and your scars can’t be hidden.” She responded quietly. It was like talking to a mirror, mostly in the sense of her talking about herself. Not as if she was talking to someone who was not listening.
“Well, you’ll have to keep it to yourself for now. I’m not in the mood to talk.”
“Suit yourself.” The two commenced their fight as Koal charged forward. Dawn reacted in sync, backing up firing bullets at him but not very accurately. It was not easy aiming while running and shooting backward, especially with a sniper. It was time to switch guns. The black glove sparked on her hand, it looked like a tiny jolt of lightning, and Oscurita replaced Oriens within about five seconds. Koal was a bit slower than Dawn and she obviously knew what she was doing. This was going to be a tough fight considering he did not have much in his arsenal to get close to her, slow her down or even attack her from range.
Bullets sprayed from her gun, Koal did his best to dodge them but was not fast enough to dodge so many. This fight had just begun and it was not going Koal’s way at all. He needed to really push himself to keep up with the nimble-footed assassin. They drudged through the snow, the dark haired boy beginning to close the distance slightly..
Seeing as how she was not getting any further away, she had to try something else. As he closed in, the vigilante quickly stopped and dashed forward completely taking Koal off guard. Her shoulder plowed into his chest, knocking him back mostly from the speed she rammed him. He got up fast, knowing she was about to take off and get distance again, engaging her in melee. The light-footed assassin was good at dodging: She ducked under horizontal slices and sidestepped through vertical ones. One swing got through, slicing her other arm, but the next swing was stopped by her gun. Steel met steel with a loud clang. The two traded aggravated glances before the ebony haired mercenary let go of one side of her rifle, letting the blade through, but quickly dodging. It was annoying how fast and nimble she was, but Koal was not going to give up so easily. He kept on her, not letting her catch her breath.
