It wasn’t often you saw Imperial Space Marines balk. The man was of an average height, and slender – one might even say desiccated – in build, with no armour and no visible weapons. But he carried himself with the air of a leader, a visionary, a genius without parallel. He jutted his finger at the marine.

“I’m the Empire’s Chief Scientist, and I don’t take refusals from tin … secondaries. You’d better open that elevator now before I melt you down and use your body to make a battering ram. And …” his white moustache curled into a cruel smirk, “… I’d do it, trust me. Just for the fun.”

Another marine stepped forward, his black armour emblazoned with the Imperial emblem. “Doctor Gero, though you are the Chief Scientist, I do not think Lord Palpatine would appreciate the disassembly of his own elite guard.”

Gero rounded on the loud-mouthed marine, and brought his hand upward. The marine in question was frozen in indecision as the doctor’s hand clamped down upon his helmet. The eleven other marines in the vicinity looked at a loss – should they shoot, or hold back? This was unprecedented.

“He will when he hears what I have to say. This is a matter of versal security, and if he found out I hadn’t informed him, it would be my head sailing through a banishment circle to the Underverse. As for you?” He snorted. “You wouldn’t be worth the effort.

The scientist’s hand began to crackle with energy. “I will see the Emperor. Now.”

The marines looked at each other. The one in black held up a hand, and his helmet, smoking at the mouthpiece, was released from Gero’s grip. “Get … get the elevator open. I shall escort him personally. Nathanael, Rachmiel, Invigrus … come with me.”

The named marines nodded, as two others scrambled to access the doors. On either side, a lever pulled, and a device moved outwards to extract their DNA.

“Scanning … DNA recognition confirmed. Issane, Gripico. Cybaddas, Corbukari. Imperial Elite Guard. Elevator access granted.”

Gero strode forward.

"Yes... yes, I recieved the updated files already. What I don't understand is why the Liberation Front is supposedly doing in- classified information? Must I remind you that on the subject of the Pokemon activity my clearance levels are 7 across the board?! You can consult the Vice-Admiral in person if you doubt my words. No? Good. Then send me what the Admiral has gathered and stop questioning my permissions!"

Sabrina tapped the touchscreen a bit harder than what was necessary, sighed as she put her Communicator back on the table and looked at the laptop on her desk. It didn't take long for a ding to announce that she was recieving an encrypted file. The encryption code confirmed it to be a file from the Navy. She hit Enter and watched the bar fill as the files were securely transmitted and the projector on the wall displayed a new batch of data. At least this looked like what she needed. She was tired of having to chase after every scrap of information because some overzealous worker thought that an ER&D member with such high security clearance for such a low amount of time could "only" mean that it must be someone who'd hacked the database to add themselves to the system to obtain sensitive data.

That aside, the information displayed on the screen was very interesting. Taking together the bits of information she could see that the Pokemon Liberation Front had attempted to conceal their movement patterns by launching fake guerilla attacks and split their forces to travel across multiple islands, but ultimately the pattern leaked through if one ignored the false information and dug through to the truth. Lunar Island was where the main force's next stop would be, no doubts about that. If she highlighted the routes of the primary suspect, of the force that she believed to be the "core" of the Pokemon Liberation Front led by Wartortle, they were the only force that had dodged direct engagements and that was moving in the straightest line. Plus, the secondary groups were regularly reconvening with this primary one. The problem was, Lunar Island could either be their destination or just a spot for them to refuel before comtinuing to the next hopping point. There was no way to ensure that without some first-hand information, and from the movement patterns she could not even take a solid guess.

On the plus side, she had some scrap of information. If she cross-examined this against what she currently had, with any luck she'd be able to provide a few very interesting future sights to the Imperial Navy in return for them providing their info to her. By making herself useful in that manner she would extend her network of trust and people would start to readily share their information with her, not because they had to as she had security clearance. She dug through the folders she had been given until she found Wartortle's file. What little the Empire had on him was unfortunately insufficient to establish a personality profile and compare it to the plans that her theory mapped out, but at least she could run a vague comparison. What made her wonder the most was that according to her data Wartortle liked to fight at the front line, and that it behaved very humanlike. Military-grade in fact... smoking a cigar, wielding akimbo guns, using intellect rather than brute force... the Squirtle family wasn't necessarily known for being subtle fighters, their durable shells and high-powered water attacks placed them into the squishy-sweeper category, transitioning into powerful-but-slow category as they advanced to Wartortle and eventually Blastoise. So either Wartortle had vastly changed after becoming a Prime, or his past had left a mark on him.

She pushed the documents aside and typed into her PC, pulling up the database. Why had Omni brought Wartortle here as a Prime anyway? Had he brought him from an alternate universe, just like her, or maybe he'd turned a Secondary into a Prime, if that was even possible? Native Primes... she mailed a specialist on the matter and quickly got an answer - according to the Empire's research, native Primes were possible but rare. So in other words it was possible but unlikely to have gone this way. She entered a search term and got the results - the words Omni told a new Prime upon their arrival. "My name is Omni, this is not the world you know", etcetera. She could only vaguely remember what she had been told, but the Empire kept very good database entries on the subject. Finally, the words she was searching flickered across the screen:

Quote:"You interest me, so I have made you part of it."

Why had Omni taken an interest in Wartortle, was the next question. What had gotten him so interested in the Pokemon that he had picked that one out of the thousands upon thousands of Wartortles, one among millions of Pokemon in the world, to be a Prime? With someone like Mewtwo she could understand. Mewtwo was a Pokemon of immense power and intellect, a being with none like it. She flicked through the rest of the database, trying to find any details but they eluded her. The Empire had nothing else on Wartortle. No information, no background, not the slightest snippet of story prior to his arrival in the Omniverse. Damn it!

With a sigh she got up from her chair, ensured that the windows were shut and the curtains were out, then she locked her computer and put a sweater on. She needed to take a break and get some fresh air... clear her mind out. She grabbed her keys and Communicator from the table and slid them both into her pocket on her way out, before exiting into the streets of Costa del Sol. Perhaps someone in Cinnabar would know more, but the Pokemon she had captured had burned that bridge, and she couldn't get any info out of them. No surprise there, the Darkballs wiped a Pokemon's mind after all. She doubted that they would know much anyway.

Posted by: Kelly MacAryn - 11-07-2016, 04:19 AM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (9)

Kelly MacAryn woke up with a half-formed question on the tip of his tongue, but it died before it got any further, leaving him with a confused and deeply troubled expression on his hawkish features.

He'd come to the abrupt realization that he didn't know who he was, so he stayed like that for a while, staring and thinking.

He was standing in front of a strange fountain. The outer rim was as high as his knees. There was a mop in the middle of it, alabaster white and standing bolt upright, cotton tassles flopping defiantly in a breeze that Kelly couldn't feel. The handle must have been at least six feet long, because the top of the thing was at his eye-level. The basin in which it stood had to be thirty feet across. Instead of water it was filled with a roiling storm of purple-red fluid, slick with a prismatic sheen, slopping over the sides and splattering on the red marble tiles that surrounded the anomaly before quickly evaporating. Kelly almost would have said it was a maelstrom of blood and oil, but that would have had a smell, and the only scent here was that of clean water on stone.

On the other side, past the small patch of tiles, there was nothing but white. The ground - white.  The sky - white, and both utterly featureless, like staring into a blizzard, only with less texture. It was practically blinding in its ivory monotony.

Kelly frowned, thick, dark eyebrows coming together. He knew his name, and that he was much older than he looked. A little self-interrogation revealed that he held a number of well thought-out opinions on a wide variety of topic, but some fairly important things were missing. His history, for instance: Where he was born, his family, friends, pets, all those personal details that add up to a life.  It was like being mid-sentence and forgetting a word, but remembering the first letter, and the number of syllables, and the meaning, yet still unable to bring it to mind. Centuries - yes, he was certain about that much - centuries of memory were floating just out of reach, out of sequence and out of focus, tantalizingly close but somehow totally beyond retrieval. Wracking his brain yielded general impressions - a rough outline. He'd been a traveler, across realities, continents, worlds and galaxies. He spent a lot of that missing time in search of purpose, and he'd been very, very powerful.

There were a few flashes, split second impressions of violence and passion that were vivid. He could feel steel bending like fresh bread in his hands. He could hear the billion-year radio-song chorus of every star in the milky-way galaxy. He could smell the screaming earth beneath the solar glare of a hydrogen bomb, and taste his lover's sweat. He saw ... penguins wearing little tailored military dress-uniforms?

He hoped those last three weren't from the same memory.

What was vivid, and immediate, was what had happened just before he got here. He could remember it, and everything else since then, in exquisite detail.

Omni, the Omniverse, Omnillium. An absolute being on an ego-trip. 'Suspicious' doesn't even begin to cover it. I need more information. It will have to wait.

Kelly felt like he should be angry, or shocked, or indignant at least, but it wouldn't be productive. The ethics and motives at play in his arrival here were pretty far down on his list of priorities, and sinking lower the more he thought about it. The fact was, he was here, and he had to deal with that. One of the first things he'd discovered about himself today was that he placed a lot of value on being efficient in a crisis.

This can't possibly be all there is... well, it could, but it's unlikely.

The traveler turned his back on the fountain and sat down, running a hand through his thick brown hair, pausing to fix his ponytail.  Squinting into the distance, he could see shapes moving on the horizon. It was hard to judge the range with no landmarks, but assuming some of them were people, they had to be miles away.

"Hn," he said, and smiled. He'd have time later to sort out the contents of his brain. Right now old habits, so ingrained that they didn't need context or recollection, were taking over. The traveler had arrived in a new reality, and there were people, which meant there would inevitably be work to do. That meant he had to do a powers-check.

Psychokinesis - nothing, not even feedback. Five human senses. Neural throttle -

The world slowed down. A drop of oily fluid splashed from the fountain and drifted lazily past his nose like a tiny, psychedelic balloon crashing in slow motion. Then, events seemed to realize he was watching and hurried to make up for lost time. The drop splattered on the tile.

-limited response. That's good. I can move fast if I need to, at least in short bursts.

Kelly clapped as hard as he could, then pinched himself on the arm until it drew blood.

Unremarkable strength, unremarkable tissue density. No sign of fast healing.

He stood up and jumped, trying not to be disappointed at the now-expected result.  At least his basic co-ordination and muscle-memory seemed to be up to standard, and he still had an athletic physique. It would be enough for getting on with, at least for the time-being.

He sat back down and checked the pockets of his jeans, and the pouches on his belt, and even under the tongue of his boots.

Nothing. He was destitute save for the blue sleeveless tee on his back. Kelly stared at the horizon, watching the dots move. Some of them were getting closer - definitely people. Others, the smallest and furthest away, stayed stationary, obstinately unidentifiable. He chuckled without humor, remembering what the grinning white shape in the void had said to him. It bothered Kelly, knowing he was about to try something the mind behind his presence here, quite possibly the one responsible for the mess in his head, was counting on, but it would be foolish not to explore a potential advantage.

"Anything I desire can be mine? And it'll come naturally.  Well, right I now I need a telescope."

He held out his hand, and he concentrated. It did come naturally, and Kelly had to supress a rush of terror as possible explanations and motives for how and why he was given this power, so different from any he'd had before, flickered across his mind.

Think about it later. Deal with this now.

A glowing orb of scintillating rainbow colors, like a prism without the glass, flowed up out of his palm.  As the traveler pictured the telescope, its shape and what he wanted it to do, the light flatted out, elongated and changed shape. It took several minutes of focus, far longer than he would have preferred, but he supposed that he wasn't in a position to complain, and in the end he had a simple, functional, black plastic collapsible spyglass.

Kelly held it to his eye and peered at the horizon, focusing on one of the immobile dots far in the distance.

He smiled. It was a door.

Switching - Grothnar Ironfist -> Frore Haya
Posted by: Chloe Price - 11-06-2016, 10:24 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (1)

Character name: Frore Haya

Character source: OC

Character history:

Let's start with the world itself, shall we?

On the year 2154, the Earth was sent into widespread panic. The planet was dying, due to a combination of a world war taking place, and overpopulation, causing widespread overuse of all materials available. When the panic started, the war stopped - a mutual truce being established. Together, they worked to get everyone off the planet, and eventually - 4 years after the panic started - they formed interstellar travel ships Beta, Gamma, Omega, Alpha and Epsilon. Each ship carried a mere 50,000 people as they got off the planet; they were out of time and resources, and so had to leave the rest behind.

On the year 2159, they came upon a star with many hospitable planets; they later named this star Mercy. By the time they arrived upon Mercy, the five ships, and their 250,000 combined residents, had all fallen under a single government; Alpha would be the head of the group, managing what laws are passed, as well as having control over the shuttle's deployment docks; The captains of each respective ship would manage the enforcement of these laws; And the captains would come together as the Combine, for a vote on whether or not to send out landing ships - a process which they had went through for multiple stars before they found Mercy.

Now, the vote came up positive on landing ships on planets in Mercy's orbit. However, the captain of the Alpha was quite content with managing everyone where he could easily do so; it's hard to manage a whole galaxy at once. So, he closed the hangars manually, preventing them from leaving. Epsilon and Beta weren't quite content with what Alpha was doing - and as such, they found themselves hacking into Alpha's controls to re-open their own carriers, and hoped the others would do the same, and join them in rebelling against Alpha. Rather than help, Omega and Gamma found themselves angry that they didn't help; and after doing hacking of their own, declared war.

Now, on the year 2213, the war is still taking place. On one side, the Alpha Empire, trying to conquer the rest of the galaxy to keep order. On another, the Beta-Epsilon Republic, bent on stopping Alpha at all costs; and then there was Soryan Dominion, named after captain Mariss Sorya, of the Omega ship; the soul purpose of which was ending the Beta-Epsilon Republic.

Frore Haya, born in 2187, was the daughter of two soldiers of the Beta-Epsilon Republic. She was inspired to fight the same war when she found a battle breaking out in his hometown - and as such, had to watch her parents die to the Soryan Dominion soldier Zal Kortek. She trained herself with firearms, and eventually joined the Beta-Epsilon Armed Forces(BEAF).

She found herself fighting in two major battles;

First, on the year 2210, was the Battle of Sol Tekka. In this, she fought through many Soryan soldiers - chief among them being general Mar Sorya, a descendant of the Captain of the Omega - on the desert planet of Salris in the town of Sol Tekka. She ended up winning the fight, executing Mar with a Grinder Shotgun blast to the head at point-blank. This was the first major victory against the Soryan Dominion the Republic has had in five years.

Then, three years later, there was the Fight for Fort Slair, in which the BEAF fortress Fort Slair was assaulted by Alpha forces on forest planet Morlan. While most of the soldiers defended the base, Frore rushed in head-first to take them on the offensive, and eventually, others joined her. This is what eventually lost the battle, allowing Alpha forces to clear out those still defending the fortress and take Fort Slair. She almost died as a result.

Finally, we've reached where we are now - the Battle of Graal, taking place in the space above ocean planet Graal. Previously, spies had infiltrated the ranks of the Alpha Empire and retrieved plans for a space fortress known as Consequences. Their first stop for the weapon, if completed, would be the Republic base on the planet. Ultimately, Frore was one of the few who boarded the base.

Eventually, she and the others with her fought their way to the core of Consequences, ready to detonate it. They found the self-destruct, however they found it required a button be held down until detonation. Ultimately, Frore was the one holding down the button, demanding the others to get out. Ultimately, she had accepted her fate...

But then, she was taken into the Omniverse.

Grinder Shotgun - 300 OM (Requires Ranged Attack Proficiency)

Frore's weapon of choice. A two-handed plasma shotgun, quite powerful but inaccurate. Each blast is about 1 foot around, with a maximum effective range of 30 yards, though the blast is weaker and harder to aim the further away the target is. The Grinder Shotgun can fire two blasts per power cell, and Frore can carry (level * 3) cells on her at once. After each shot, Frore has to pump the shotgun before firing again.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

Excuse the title, I have a weird sense of humour s

Member 2 years ago when I injured my hand? Well, people still wondered for ages. I had said that it's been gradually getting better. Good news. I'm typing this. I noticed when explaining something in FFXIV, where I typically avoid typing, that I wasn't getting stiffness in my hand. I'm still very careful with the way I type, but the problem is largely gone. I still am very careful around things that trigger it, like keyboard and mouse games, and I'm curious to see how typing this post freehand (the first longer post I've written without voice recognition software in 2 years) will affect it. Slight twinge in the elbow at the end of this paragraph. NBD.

People have wondered where I'm around lately. Welp, my life is in the midst of another big move. This time, to Glasgow, to move in with my girlfriend. I've been heading up to Glasgow about once a month or so since July, the last time for ten days, and I'm hoping to move up in the new year. So that's my current excuse for busy-ness.

Right now I'm trying to focus on scril... money, and figure out exactly how I'm going to move forward from semi-self-employed to making enough actual money that I can live a normal life. I've been letting my proofreading business stagnate while I elope piss around, but what with needing money for that whole thing, I'm trying to get my ass in gear and get more work. On the Omniverse front I've thought about what I can change and improve upon, and chances are good that I'm going to move into my original role, not roleplaying much but focusing on admin duties, with Samus and Enel as effectively NPCs. We'll see, for now I still want to finish their current arcs. I do need to get back to advertising, we fell off RPG-D (because our RPG-D button wasn't back up INSTANTLY) when I made the site move and we've lost some traffic from that. Damn place is so ornery.

My dream has always been to write a book, but as I get older I know that my fascination with games has always driven me to create things like the Omniverse, or spend hours theorising about systems. I think that I need to create something that can fuse all my loves together, and still ... y'know, profit. I love my life, but at some point if I wanna support a family, I'm going to need to afford real shit, like beds. For now I should probably just focus on expanding Essays by Eight so I have some actual income coming in. For those of you who've donated through the site or patreon, thank you, you're awesome.

So my hand is still only a tiny bit affected by this post. I'm avoiding using my middle finger of my right hand, the most affected, but with continual stretching and exercise I'm sure it'll keep getting better to the point where I don't notice it. Maybe I will try writing a post with my actual hands soon. Basically at this point the exercise seems to only make my hand better, not much worse. So I'm pretty happy.

In preparation of the Void quest...
Posted by: Amaterasu - 11-05-2016, 02:03 PM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (5)

... I have a few questions that need clearing up.

First of, the word requirement. I can't seem to find where it was said, but I vaguely remember reading that doing the quest as a group has a non-linear word count progression (2 people adds 33%, every person thereafter adds 66% per person to the total word count). Is this correct, or is it simply a 20-40k * [number of participants] word requirement (which would mean 80-160k shared, for 4 participants)?

Now, assuming that the above question was correct, where would that word count put us for 4 participants? I'm not sure whether to calculate the 33-66% based on the results of the former calculation (case A), or just taking the total percentage number and applying that to the base word count (case B)?

Case A: 20.000 x 1,33 = 26.600 x 1,66 = 44,156 x 1,66 = 73.298,96 rounded to 73.299 to 146.598 shared word count

Case B: 20.000 x (100% + 33% + 66% + 66%) = 20.000 x 266% = 53.200 to 106.400 shared word count

The other thing that I need would be approval for the following storyline idea (so as to avoid risking that we write thousands of words before someone notes that this quest wouldn't be okay as a void quest):
-After climbing the mountain for a bit, the expedition finds themselves unable to proceed outside due to the strong winds and cold temperatures, so they begin traveling through the insides of the mountains of madness, which turn out to have an extensive cave system leading upwards.

-These caverns are enchanted (who by? Who knows) and cause the expedition members to be transported to strange realms, in which their spirit is tested. There are seven "important" caves each representing one of the seven sins (sloth, gluttony, lust, envy, pride, greed and wrath), as well as any number of corridors and "non important" caves which may give off illusions, be inhabited by inoffensive wisps or not-so-inoffensive wampas, but they are not the real meat of the story, and mostly just locations which the group can set up camp at to rest before embarking on the next leg of their climb. Being put to the test would distort time somehow, so they would need to camp and get some sleep 2-3 times before reaching the summit.

-The enchanted caves basically confront the characters with the worst that's in them, forcing them to acknowledge it and overcome it. The specifics of what actually happens are relatively open, so that every player may choose their own little path - be it fighting, resisting temptation or something else. The expedition members may be split up and be reunited later that day or in the evening if someone wants to "skip" one cavern in favour of focusing their writing efforts on another.

-Finally coming out near the summit the expedition encounters the Frost Dragons who live there, who may allow them to pass because they know that if they have made it through the tests they are "worthy", or (if at this point the quest judge(s) consider(s) that our word count is not high enough) they send the members back to the caverns or engage them in combat as a final test or because they are unhappy about the intruders to their nest. Sapphiron might be that dragon or it could be a nameless Frost Dragon or several.
Joining: Kelly MacAryn

Character name: Kelly MacAryn

Character source: Original

Character history:

Kelly's history is very long, and upon arrival in the Omniverse he doesn't recall most of it. He has an extremely advanced eidetic memory, practically like a computer, but something seems to have gone terribly wrong with his internal index, and now his life is a four-hundred-year long smear of random associations and general impressions.

He would swear this is not the first time an all-powerful being gave him superpowers without a satisfactory explanation. He would swear this is not the first time he's woken up in a strange world with nearly all of his potency gone.

Kelly remembers being a traveler between realities, possessed of a posthuman body with extremely powerful psionic abilities. Something drove him forward, looking for a purpose, a cause, people he could relate to. Wherever he came from originally, there was nothing left for him there, and an old tragedy at his heels, and he struck out across the infinite fractal worldscape of an Everett-Wheeler cosmology trying to find something to fill the hole in his soul.

He remembers losing most of his powers occasionally when he arrived in places where the physical laws that governed the place were too different, and having to wait for them to come back while whatever ontological machinery had been flash-welded to his existence back at the beginning made the necessary adjustments, slowly altering his physiology and fine-tuning his relationship with the dominant local physics.

He fought in wars. He taught high-school. He robbed banks and worked at a soup kitchen. He slew dragons, fought robots, changed his gender, changed it back, died, came back, climbed mountains, saved kingdoms, sailed with pirates, owned castles, traveled the stars, died again, snapped out of it, and lived in a shack. Kelly battled and improvised and conned and brooded his way across a ludicrous cross-section of space and time, always evolving, adapting faster to changing physics as his mind, body, and spirit grew more powerful.

At some point the traveler found what he was looking for, and this is the most frustrating part for him because he remembers barely anything about it at all. He knows there was a massive, intergalactic, inter-spacial war, and that he cared deeply for one side, and that he came out of it with some kind of a official military role. He remembers that someone eventually made him a king, and that he was good at it. Then there was another war, but... much smaller, yet somehow equally important.

He remembers going to Hell.

Kelly would swear penguins were involved with all of it somehow, which really doesn't help.

The last thing he recalls, and the only thing he would swear is in sequence, is saying to somebody, "I never wanted to be a god, Ray, but I don't think I have a choice anymore."

And now he's here, barely more than human.

Physical Description:

Kelly appears to be a very tall man in his mid-twenties. He is physically fit and not excessively broad, standing 193 centimeters at a mass of 90 kilograms. His thick hair is brown and shoulder-length, and he wears it pulled back in a tight ponytail, though it has a tendency to come loose in the front and go all over the place.

He has a long face with a strong jaw and high cheekbones. He has a prominent nose which you could use to chop wood or capture small mammals, though it works for him. Kelly's eyebrows are thick, his lips are thin and expressive, and his bright, navy-blue eyes are deeply set in his face, giving the sense he's staring out at the world from behind a mask. Overall the impression is of a bird of prey that went to the wrong line when they were handing out the bodies or ,if he's in a bad mood, a cobra wearing a very convincing human-suit.

Kelly dresses for function rather than fashion, though some effort has been made to co-ordinate: Blue denim pants, a sleeveless blue cotton t-shirt, a black leather belt with several useful pouches and a brass buckle, plus a pair of heavy black work-boots, the kind with hob-nails in the soles that seem to growl at you like a pair of feety fortresses.

There is a prominent scar in the shape of a seven-pointed compass-rose on his left biceps.

(i do not take credit for this picture, the owner of the picture is this guy)

Character name: Reinald Sonora

Character source: Character is original, but world is from the Dark Souls Series

Character history:
World Lore:

Character Lore:
Reinald was part of a group of warriors known as the Knights of the Fallen, or the Fallen Knights. Once thought to be the ones to defeat the lords of cinder, they slowly disbanded and went their own ways. Sadly, their name mimicked their fate, as each and every one of them met unfortunate ends. Reinald was in the Road of Sacrifices when he succumbed to his grave wounds.

However, instead of finding himself in the afterlife, he was instead met with an almighty entity known only as Omni. After being told of his condition, he was sent to The Nexus.

And this is where his adventure begins....

Physical Description:
In his armor, Reinald wields a set of hard, black armor draped in cloth, with intricate gold engravings if you look hard enough. The armor, and the cloth surrounding it, is covered in many scratches and dents, revealing a history of many battles and duels.

Outside of his armor, Reinald has a rather young looking face, almost surprisingly so. But if you look into his twilight blue eyes, you'll see that he's been through many battles in his life. He has a fairly average build, with his shield strapped on his back and his sword sheathed on his waist.

Stats:
ATK: 3
DEF: 3
SPD: 2
TEC: 2

Starting Proficiencies:
-Physical Strength-

Starting Powers:
Survival: Often the trademark of zombies and other gruesome creatures, Survival allows the user to take grievous wounds which would otherwise kill or inhibit the user – such as being stabbed through the chest – and be completely unaffected. Unless body parts are actually disabled, such as when limbs or tendons are severed, injuries up til death will not inhibit your ability to fight in any way. You can still be killed, of course. With Hive Mind, even detached limbs will still be usable.

Starting Moves:
Lothric Knight Sword (Need: Physical Strength) 300 OM
Details: A well-crafted straight sword wielded by the knights of Lothric. Is about the length of a longsword, except with more detail. It's blade is a lighter silver, with a dark gold guard and a dark-grey hilt. Reinald found it during his adventure and is his main choice of attack
Dimensions:
124.5 CM (49 in)

Black Knight Shield (need: Physical Strength) 300 OM
Details: A pitch-black shield wielded by the famous black knights of Lord Gwyn. Has a teardrop-like shape, with flowing canals chiseled into it to block attacks easier. Reinald obtained it after a rather difficult battle with one of the elite knights, who had killed one of his comrades. He now wields it as a memento of the battle. It can withstand a high amount of damage without being knocked aside.
Dimensions:
41" long, 22" wide, 3/4" thick
