Darkness enveloped his form as he slid down, down into the abyss of the caves. His pick left a long trail of cracked ice as he descended into the depths below the battle above.
He must have reached the end of the precipice at some point, though. A sharp crackling sound, like splintered wood or broken glass, followed by his pickaxe slipping out from the cliff face as pieces of ice fell away. A few moments later, he collided with the ground, ice chunks splattering next to him. Pain racked his body. He let out a groan as he stood back up, finding himself in a familiar situation.
Of all things, his mind went back to when he first arrived in the Omniverse. A realm of eternal blackness, where the laws of reality, of up and down, of sky and earth, were alien to everyone who came across it. It was inhabited only by Omni, the one who had summoned him in the first place. He remembered being glued to the ground, blood cascading from his shoulder from the bullet that had lodged itself into him. He could not move no matter how hard he tried; one might have thought the whole thing was an unsubtle attempt at a torture chamber for the pleasure of some disgusting hell being. Then, he was blinded by a series of flashing lights, then by a huge, almost psychotic-looking grin plastered on a porcelain figure, pale as the snow itself.
Perhaps it was a feeling of helplessness, of realizing that his ploy had left him in the most precarious spot imaginable since he had arrived, that caused him to think back to that. He had escaped from the mob of bounty hunters, only to instead trap himself in a massive hole where no one could possibly find him or hope to find him.
He took a deep breath. All odds were against him, he knew this, but like hell he was going to let that stop him. He had a mission to do, and being lost in some cave in the middle of nowhere was the LAST thing that would make him draw the line in the snow.
He fished for his pack, pulling out a lump of wick the size of his fist. He flicked his thumb against it. A reddish flame burst from the hunk.
Above came the reverberations of grating, scraping metal. He glanced upward.
A moment later, he was on the floor, the wick flying a few feet to his side as he held his hands up, staying the two sets of blades from impaling his chest.
He struggled, his fists clasped around the tips of the blades. His assailant pressed his foot down on his stomach. Ballad tried to lift his legs up to kick. He could vaguely hear a “Ssshhh..” noise slither through the lips of the man as the gunsmith wrestled underneath him.
A sword steadily pushed through his fingers. It sank into his torso. With a rapturing bellow, he shot his leg up to his attacker’s chest. He kicked forward.
The man sailed off of him, his blade bursting out of the gunsmith’s torso with a squelchy pop. He fell into the shadows. The only indication he had landed were the sounds of broken glass that rapidly filled the room, echoing all around them both.
The gunsmith dashed forward, grabbing his precious wick. The crimson tint of the light that surrounded him barely hid the blood drizzling from his wound. He reached for his hand-pick, shivering.
He whirled around, his heart thumping a mile a minute as he concentrated on the area around him. He held his pick high in a threatening manner, as if to dare the one who had attacked him to come out again and face him like a man.
Footsteps.
He turned around, tilting his head to the right. A sharpened knife of a weapon, the tip glistening red with blood, zipped past him. On the end, roughly a foot from his face, was a bulging muscle of an arm from which the blade jutted out from the skin. The skin was wrapped around it with a tiny hole for the thing to shoot out of, a process far too painful to imagine, let alone experience themselves for anyone other than-
Any doubt of who had assailed him disappeared.
He leaned back as the greaser spun around, cutting for his neck. He slammed his pick down. The demon blocked, dancing out of the way. His wick flame illuminated the psychopath’s face. It was dark red; it only barely collaborated with the incandescence of the fire the gunner held in his hand. He was taller, with him standing a fair foot above the green man himself. He had somehow grown stronger too, now looking positively like a seasoned champion of a prestigious gladiator arena, with massive muscles visible even below his wife-beater shirt and 70s shades. What was most apparent to the gunner, however, was his smile. A toothy, cocky smile that could give anyone the urge to punch the dude’s face in and see if they can’t REMOVE said smile.
The first words of the brawl were spoken by Kuzuru, or, perhaps more accurately, a part of him. As he opened his mouth, his eyes caught aflame, his voice replaced with that of the pickaxeman’s most familiar foe.
“Don’t think you can win THIS time, greenie!” said Agern, slashing his blades against the ground, water surging forth from the incisions crafted from his hacks, “I have an ACTUAL demon on my side! One who won’t turn TRAITOR at the last moment.”
It was small, but he could sense a fierce tug at the back of his mind. Before he could ask what his enemy implied, SPB had already seized control away from him.
“My troth was never to you, Agern, you dullard of a Scotsman,” he said, just barely keeping it above a growl, “I’m committed only to my research, which you have demonstrated time and time again to be a significant trammel to.”
The gunsmith’s golden eyes brightened as SPB continued. “And if you dare collate me to this radge forwards of me, I will determine how best to deliver the eternal punishment you delivered to so many others prior.”
“Oh, shut the hell up already and fight!” shouted Kuzuru, having finally regained control of his form.
The greaser charged forward, his blades squeezing out of his arms to morph into curved scimitars. He leapt into the air, did a flip, and plummeted towards the gunsmith.
The sharpshooter jabbed a switch on his pick. The shaft elongated just as his opponent’s blades met his pickaxe. He stumbled back, the swords embedding in the rod of his weapon. He lifted his foot to smack it into his opponent.
The demon wasted little time. He rebuffed Ballad’s foot with his own, a spasm of pain shooting up the gunner’s leg. Before he could recover, Kuzuru pushed, whirled around, and sliced across his legs. As the gunsmith fell, he kicked him in the stomach, sending him tumbling backwards.
When he stopped, he slowly pushed himself up, bloodied and battered.
“Wha-..how?”

Thanatos
Black Goku, Evil Kakarot, Failed Fusion
Source: Dragonball Z/Super – Original Character
Physical Appearance
I altered the earring to look like Vegito's instead of the green one.
Backstory
Goku was a hero.
Was.
It was an act of desperation to permanently fuse with Vegeta using the Potara Earrings. Age 774 was going to be one for the record books. If Vegito could defeat Majin Buu and save everyone, the fusion would be permanent and both Goku and Vegeta’s families would have had to adjust. It was a stroke of luck that Buu’s internal structure split the two heroes apart. Whatever happened next is ancient history at this point. Something happened when the fusion failed and the Potara Earrings released its hold on both warriors. Goku had become a sinister, blood thirsty, and truly evil person. All of the potential energy from the fusion had injected itself into the once good hearted Saiyan. As if preordained by fate itself the new version of our hero proclaimed himself Thanatos and with his newfound strength instantly obliterated Vegeta and Majin Buu in one blast, reversing the effect of being consumed. Everyone who had been eaten were immediately killed. Thanatos began his immediate conquest of Earth, fighting and killing each of the remaining defenders until no one was left to stop him. It was at this point when Omni became interested in such a powerful being and drew him into the Omniverse. Perhaps to save that Universe from Goku Black’s, as the populace came to call him, immense destructive power? One can only speculate.
Summary:
I’ve discussed this with Omni. He’s fine with it. I’m just going through the motion. For the record, I’ll explain what I’m doing.
Goku Black is from Dragonball Super. However, he is evil. I’m completely rewriting Dragonball Z with this instead.
My Goku Black is the result of a catastrophic failure of the Potara fusion between Goku and Vegeta when they enter Super Buu’s stomach to rescue everyone he’d eaten. Instead of just being separated Goku was viciously changed into a personification of a Chaotic Evil demigod, absorbing all the potential power the earrings could have granted Vegito. Thus, he permanently wears one of the Vegito’s earrings on his left ear.

Temporal Bubble:
Whatever happened when the Vegito fusion failed is unknown. However, it is known that Thanatos can manipulate temporal space for single seconds at a time. This ability is purely physical and close quarters, involving the use of Foresight to properly work. He has tried to do such a thing at distance, but has found that is simply impossible. During a hand to hand encounter, Thanatos, at the expense of a pretty heft amount of stamina can freeze an opponents’ body part in time to provide an opening to strike. The ability is completely untraceable if done correctly. The victim will simply believe that they left themselves open to assault, when it was Thanatos who, using his ability to see seconds into the future, froze time and created it. It’s extremely taxing if used back to back.

"So I've been brought here against my will, because I'm of some interest to you? Great...."
Once Omni had finished the introduction, and Veritas 'awoke' in the Nexus a frown was on his face. Was this some kind of prank? No, the accident in his lab had nearly killed him. But he was here now. For better or for worse he could not attempt escape from the Omniverse. Checking himself over, Veritas realized that all of his weapons were missing. If this was some kind of prank, he ddn't know what to think of it. But upon examining his surroundings, an elegantly beautiful fountain was noticed by him. What was the game of this "Omni" ? It was confusing enough to be brought here and stripped of all his abilities, for the most part. To be completely honest, even his knowledge of machines and weaponry was drawing up blanks, presently. Just what had the individual done to him, exactly?
"So to recap, strange environment. I'm to serve as entertainment for some deity who thinks too highly of himself, and apparently has enough power to remove all of my abilities, even my mechanical expertise."
Relearning inventing was going to be a royal pain, especially as he didn't have time to do so. Being in a new place was one thing, but he was helpless or so he believed presently. Giving himself another once over, he noticed an arm-band on himself. Could it be? Could it be the device he made to store equipment? If so, what did it contain? Eyeing it critically he said. "Summon Omni-Blaster." The device spoke. "Invalid Command." Another attempt was made by him. "Summon Force Field Belt." The device once more denied him with the same statement as before. Frustrated, Veritas decided to put that mystery on pause. Later when he had somewhere to call home ehe could perhaps work on arming himself, and discovering the mysteries of this place.
While he was not a good guy, and would never play the role of the hero Veritas knew that when he was strong enough, he was definitely going after Omni. After all, being brought here against his will? That would have been tolerable, had Omni also not ripped out his bionics. Getting the tools together to enhance himself fresh was going to require a lot of work. Not only would he have to re-learn how to invent, but he'd have to learn about biology and a whole host of other subjects.
Still near the Fountain, Veritas looked around.

| What's your roleplaying career? |

We have all levels of writers around here, from newcomers to experienced players, but how did you end up in the Omniverse? Was it the first site you found, or do you have a long-standing career? I'm curious to hear it.
For those who're curious, here's my story. T'is a bit long.
Tl;dr version:
Children Network => [break] => roleplaygateway => rolepages => The site that shall not be named => Omniverse
My first writing experience was on a german social network type of site called "Children Network" (translated) which was heavily regulated and sheltered. Just to give an indication, you had to print and mail a letter to the guys to activate your account.
The site was designed for kids from 6-16, you had your profile site where you could pick the most eye-boggling background tile pattern, text background color and text color. Oh, and the font was locked to Comic Sans. There were some other stuffs but the main thing I was there for was the roleplays. This was restricted to creating one per person (if you made a new one you had to delete the old one first), and joining 15 roleplays from other people at max, including your own. You submit your story for approval from staff, and the roleplay owner makes all the characters which other players can then request permission to use.
As for the roleplay itself? One "feed" with the newest post at the top, no formatting options or the like. Most plays were consisting of 2-5 lines of 10 words each, with players having an attention span of a month on average (posting every 3 days, too) before they forget about your play. Just to think of the atrocities I joined, created or posted back then makes me cringe.
After that, big break of several years. I was too busy with other stuff but eventually (age 15, I think?) I got back in the groove. I wrote a few things here and there but no site struck me outside of one called roleplaygateway, which to my knowledge still exists. It has a few restrictions and a short attention span for people as well, but I was the type of player that refreshes the site multiple times a day expecting activity. Although, I'm still rather fond of the memories I accumulated back then, I actually made a decent roleplay and learnt a few good lessons (mainly that being a doormat and letting people join as scifi characters into a medieval fantasy roleplay with the excuse of "time travel" is not okay). I was too focused on writing fanfic though, so this isn't as big a chapter of my career.
Fast forward to when I was 18, I stumbled upon rolepages.com by sheer coincidence. That was my first experience with live-chat roleplay sites, and my fondest non-Omniverse memory. The site featured a chatroom with a consistent theme and a site-spanning story that was driven forward by a weekly event, driving the crapsack world into an even worse situation or getting it back from the brink of extinction. It was pretty fun and I made a few friends there, as well as developed my first character that lasted for a while. Due to the site's members being almost exclusively american and the events only happening while I was asleep though, I eventually lost interest. It was impossible to get myself really established in the (small) community and due to the lack of events for me to play I didn't feel involved and progressing. It lasted me about one and a half years, but it was a pretty big turning point.
I went to seek out other sites after that to get a better experience. It quickly led me to a site that shall not be named, as it's adult content. I've been on there ever since, mainly thanks to that it has a ginormous community (usually there's upwards of 4000 people logged in at a time) and several neat features for its live-chat. Been there for five years and some, and counting. Funfact, I also met Arthuria there!
And finally, the Omniverse. I believe that I found the site when searching rpgfix, in any case it was one of the "roleplay sites list" sites. I decided to give it a try, and ended up here. Transitioning from live-chat roleplay where two paragraphs are more than the average post to a site that encourages people to write big posts and has cross-site consistency in its events, people's actions, quests etc. was a pretty big leap but I fell in love with the site pretty fast!
Though I'm a good few months away at least, I've already been considering my third character for a few months. To give you an idea of why I'm considering so early, here are all my character switches to date:
1st character: Link -> Illidan
2nd character: Ditto -> Lich King -> Ditto -> Udyr -> Illidan -> Ditto -> Jim Raynor
So yeah. Don't wanna do that anymore.
After considering a fair few contenders, I've narrowed it down to three. They're listed in rough order of my desire to play them at the moment, though all three have been number one at one point and it may change in the future (hence all the thinking). My general theme for the third character is evil; they're all one form or another.
1) Gengar
![[Image: 250px-094Gengar.png]](http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/thumb/c/c6/094Gengar.png/250px-094Gengar.png)
Gengar is my top choice at the moment because of the freedom I would have designing him. With a lot of cool powers and potential powers, there's lots of room for creativity. Personality-wise, Gengar would be more of a prankster, preying on people's fear for his own amusement. That would definitely involve killing in some cases, but he's ultimately out for a laugh at someone else's expense. Plus he wouldn't take things very seriously, so a chance to play a goofball. I already have a backstory; he's the Gengar of the Elite Four's Agatha, and after she passed on, Gengar's set free, and then taken into the Omniverse.
Pros: Custom OC, cool powers, fun personality to write, fight scenes would be more creative/less conventional
Cons: Not super evil, some powers might be too similar to Illidan
2) Cell
![[Image: 180?cb=20100207161030]](http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/0/04/CellImperfectFindsAndroids17%2618-02.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/180?cb=20100207161030)
DBZ being one of my favourite shows of all time, and Cell being my favourite villain of the show, it seems like a no-brainer. Cell has lots of powers and techniques to draw on, while having a fairly strong goal (ie. absorb androids) to help develop his initial direction. He'd be fun to write since he has no remorse, and has that creepy, unflappable confidence that is lots of fun to flesh out. Would be taken after his death at Gohan's hands.
Pros: Evil unrestrained, lots of powers, can drink people with his tail, writing fight scenes would be awesome
Cons: OM-expensive, might not have a lot of opportunity to fight DBZ-style
3) Venom (Symbiote)
![[Image: latest?cb=20130806233356]](http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/marveldatabase/images/1/14/MacDonald_Gargan_(Earth-12131)_001.png/revision/latest?cb=20130806233356)
Probably the most evil of the three. Venom would generally stay bonded to a NPC, taking full control of them, but I wouldn't use any specific Venom host from the series as I feel that constrains the character too much. The big draw here is Symbiosis; Venom would ideally bond to a lot of Primes, and creating Venom versions of people would be a lot of fun. Plus he can learn new techniques from Primes he binds to (ie. I buy with OM those moves that Venom 'takes') and maybe corrupt some good guys with bloodlust? Who knows.
Pros: Cool powers, savage and selfish, relying on fusion would be a cool twist
Cons: May have trouble forging an identity with lots of different fusions, I don't know Venom's history as well as the first two
Take your pick! Who sounds the best?

Sabrina's Airbike came to a stop just in front of the bike-optimized parking spaces in front of the Imperial Intelligence Department. She pushed the kickstand down and locked the bike to the ground-fixated stand. Though there wasn't any wheel that she could have put a chain around the safety lock she had brought went around all the way and was able to lock the bike in place that way. With her helmet in her hand and her suit unzipped enough that she could move comfortably and display the badge on her shirt under the suit, she walked through to the front doors, authenticated herself to the guard and traversed the lobby. On the other side a worker behind a thick glass panel looked up as she approached and activated the microphone for her to speak to him.
"Hello. I would like to deposit these files", Sabrina said as she produced the folder from her bag and put the badge into the little slider box. "Here's my authentication. The files need to go to the recipient as soon as possible."
"Professor Sabrina, correct?" the worker asked as he looked things over, then opened the slider again. "Please deposit the files and we'll see to that your contact recieves them within the next hour."
"Perfect. Many thanks." She put the entire folder in, since she had digital backups of all the files contained in it by this point, and waited as the worker retrieved it, ran a quick security check for obvious traps, then slid the badge back to Sabrina.
"Here you are. Please be advised that your packet will be thoroughly scanned for security hazards. If you are aware of anything potentially dangerous please let me know now. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action or your arrest if we find explosives, poison gas etc."
Sabrina held back a laugh as she nodded. "There are no hazardous materials contained to the best of my knowledge."
"Good. Can I help you with anything else today?"
"No, I'll be taking my leave. Thank you for your assistance." She stepped away from the counter and headed right back outside, but past her bike. While she was in Coruscant she might as well spend a little while and get a handful of necessities that weren't offered in Costa del Sol. Maybe a box of chocolates with spaceships imprinted on each piece... something a little more substantial than the sweets offered at every street corner of Costa del Sol.

Character name: Veritas “Cyberlord” Solaris
Character source: OC
![[Image: 87468.jpg]](http://static.zerochan.net/full/18/49/87468.jpg)
Character history:
Engineered in a lab, Veritas was a genetically engineered human made to serve as a living weapon by a rebel against a woman who apparently had somehow merged multiple dimensions, and then collapsed the rest of the multiverse. Bio-technology was implanted into his body to give him the equivalent of supernatural powers. The implants and a process of improving his intellectual capabilities were used, so as to make him smarter. Upon completion of the project, he was deployed. But he went rogue, and has come back as a villain of sorts now. Once defeated and humiliated by an individual who was very powerful physically, Veritas was locked up. Eventually he successfully escaped however.
Once he had escaped, Veritas realized something. When you fight people with superpowers, what you need is fire power that can match up with them. The next year was spent by him developing various high tech gadgets, and weapons systems. Unfortunately none of them were ever going to see any use, because an explosion in the lab took his life. Awakening in the Omniverse, he’s determined to start fresh and make himself a proper villain. Unfortunately he’s been stripped of his bionics, but views that as a minor impediment.
Physical Description:
Veritas is not the most imposing individual a person could encounter. In fact, his body looks a bit on the side of scrawny, to the point where it is laughable. His eyes are different in that one of them is colored green, while the other is colored purple. Typically speaking he wears black and green body-suit, that is actually made out of nanocircuitry.
A leather jacket, and steel toed boots are worn by him most of the time. His hair is black, with a green streak through it. On his right arm appears to be some sort of high tech apparatus that he’s almost always wearing. His height is about 5”3, and his weight is about 170 lbs. To say he is underweight is an understatement, because he is severely underweight. Veritas also looks like somewhat of a nerd, his pale white skin normally covered with a black and green bodysuit, as mentioned earlier. A set of goggles are worn by him that hold his hair up. His body appears to be about Twenty Two years of age.

Weapons Module (RP Flavor)
------------------------------
A small metallic arm-computer like device that stores his weapons in Hammerspace until such time as he should need them. This is worn by him. To summon a weapon, he simply says. “Summon, and either Plasma Rifle, or Plasma Sword.”
Weapons Module - Plasma Rifle (300, Ranged Proficiency.)
---------------------
A hard-hitting rifle which fires a condensed ball of energy about the size of a golf ball. The bolt explodes on impact, with a burst too small to function as an area-of-effect weapon but significantly increases the damage to targets hit. The weapon is ammo/battery efficient, however the energy compression process adds a cycle time between shots. In addition to the slight delay between potential attacks, it also means the user must be more careful with their shots or they risk missing a lot of opportunities to damage opponents. The plasma balls can only last around 2 blocks before they lose coherence and detonate, making that the maximum range of the weapon. This weapon was built by Veritas for his own personal use.
Weapons Module- Plasma Katana (Physical Prof, 300.)
--------------------------------
A katana with an atypical element. Where a more traditional weapon of this type would have a sharp edge running the length of one side of the blade, this one has a series of emitters. When activated, the emitters vent a highly volatile plasma, which is far too short lived to function as any sort of ranged attack but can do serious damage to anything which would come into contact with the blade. The blade is not meant to be used defensively, but it has been slightly reinforced that it might survive contact with an opponent’s blade. This sword, like his rifle is materialized out of the Omni-Band on his arm, when he needs it.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct. Yes, given this character is taking the place of Adrien Agreste, who I submitted 6 weeks or so ago I have read the rules.
