Need to Vent
Posted by: Dawnika Snow - 11-22-2016, 06:23 AM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - No Replies

Okay so some people know I'm having a hard time right now. Just less than a week ago I broke up with the person whom I loved dearly because of neglectful behavior towards me.. And something else has come up with me that has kind of brought me down.

I am about 115% sure I have both Avoidant and Dependent Personality Disorders. I haven't been officially diagnosed for it yet, as I just learned of it. If you don't know what they are, here:

  • Avoidant Personality Disorder. Avoidant personalities are often hypersensitive to rejection and are unwilling to become involved with others unless they are sure of being liked. Excessive social discomfort, timidity, fear of criticism, avoidance of social or work activities that involve interpersonal contact are characteristic of the avoidant personality. They are fearful of saying something considered foolish by others; worry they will blush or cry in front of others; and are very hurt by any disapproval by others. People with avoidant personality disorder may have no close relationships outside of their family circle, although they would like to, and are upset at their inability to relate well to others.
    • Dependent Personality Disorder. People with dependent personality disorder may exhibit a pattern of dependent and submissive behavior, relying on others to make decisions for them. They require excessive reassurance and advice, and are easily hurt by criticism or disapproval. They feel uncomfortable and helpless if they are alone, and can be devastated when a close relationship ends. They have a strong fear of rejection. Typically lacking in self-confidence, the dependent personality rarely initiates projects or does things independently. This disorder usually begins by early adulthood and is diagnosed more frequently in females than males.

Im having a terrible time accepting both of these and just needed to vent about it a little.

First venture in a new land
Posted by: Celestia - 11-21-2016, 09:39 PM - Forum: The Vasty Deep - Replies (49)

The world on the other side of the gate was a fascinating one.  It was a large city, somewhat in contrast to the appearance of the gate through which one needed to enter to get there, but it was more than that.  The city had a mix of architectural styles, extending through more than just cultural styles tied to locations or times, but even differences in technology.  Harsh metal structures stood next to brick or wood, ornate neon signs stood next to candle-lit windows.  The mishmash could come across as surreal to one used to any real consistently in the look of a place.

“It reminds me of home,” Celestia said after she and Veritas had spent some time walking down the street.  “Though it's not quite the same, of course.  We didn't have any single town quite this varied in terms of technology.”  Each individual town in Equestria was fairly consistent in this regard, but the range became immediately evident when one looked at the nation as a whole.  From the giant, square, concrete towers of Manehattan, to the medieval style of Canterlot, to the simple wooden townhouses of smaller settlements and hamlets.  And then there was Ponyville...

Celestia shook her head, snapping out of her reverie, and noted the large sign exclaiming 'Welcome to Costa del Sol!'  Presumably that was the name of the city, which meant that was one more name she'd found for parts of this place than she had previously, although that itself only brought the grand total to one.  Chances are she would have to raise that number before she could really get an understanding of this place, which by appearances before and after entering the gate looked as though it contained at least eight planes, nine with the 'hub'.

Celestia stopped walking for a moment, and turned to Veritas.  “You are welcome to go where you please, but I intend to track down a library.  There is some basic information about these realms which we currently lack, that I believe one could find it there.  Perhaps you too could benefit from such a search, although if you have other priorities I understand.”

  Switching to Eobard Thawne
Posted by: Chloe Price - 11-21-2016, 09:15 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (3)

Character name: Eobard Thawne

Character source: The Flash TV series

Character history: Taken from the end of season 1, episode 23 - right after his erasure from the timeline due to his ancestor's death.

Physical Description: [Image: w9gAc9y.jpg]

Usually, his entire body is vibrating, creating a blur effect around his body, except his eyes, which glow red. When he runs, he leaves behind a trail of red lightning.

Stats:
ATK: 1
DEF: 1
SPD: 4
TEC: 4

Starting Proficiencies:

Physical Strength(1000)
Ranged Attack(1000)

Starting Powers:

Super Speed(1000)
Phasing(1200)

Starting Moves:

Throw Lightning - 300 OM
Requires Ranged Attack Proficiency, Super Speed

[Eobard runs around the opponent for 15 seconds, before throwing a red lightning bolt - the same color as the trail he leaves behind when he runs, and about a foot all around - at them. The bolt reaches a maximum range of 30 meters or if it hits the wall, whichever comes first. It moves as fast as a bullet, giving the opponent little time to avoid it. It does moderate damage. Repeat uses will be increasingly draining on the Reverse-Flash.

The build-up of circling the opponent can be interrupted, theoretically, by attacking; Even if an attack doesn't hit, you could throw him off and even cause him to lose focus on the build-up, and subsequent attack, entirely.

Total OM Spent: (Included for convenience) 4500

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

  switching Cyborg to Damien Darhk
Posted by: Damien Darhk - 11-21-2016, 04:26 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (8)

7,023.1

Character name: Damien Darhk

Character source: Arrowverse(Cw TV show)

Character history: I'm taking Darhk from the site after his death.

Upon dying in his final battle with the Green Arrow/Oliver Queen Damien is transported to the omniverse, waking up disoriented and staggering about. To Damien this world must be done sorry of version of the afterlife. The large Khushu idol he once drew his power from has been transformed into a small amulet. Although residual power still resides in it. Darhk soon find out he is able to use his magic without the dependency of the idol. The use of the idol in this new world is unknown and only time will tell what mysterious powers it now holds.

Physical Description: (originals only) Damien is 6" 0 tall, short haired blonde man. He wears a two piece suit with the idol amulet around his neck.

Stats:
ATK:3
DEF:2
SPD:1
TEC:4

Starting Proficiencies: Physical Attack(1000), Ranged Attack(1000) Ranged Materialize Proficiency ( 600 )Remote Control Proficiency (600),Debuff Proficiency (1000 )

Starting Powers:Telekinesis Advanced(1000)

Starting Moves:

Telekntic Grasp: (requires: Telekinesis, Debuff proficiency{ranged proficiency?}) 600 Om

Darhk uses his innate dark magic to instantly hold his opponents in place, he can strangle them as if being held by a giant invisible hand , additionaly he can merely toss them 10 meters away by swinging his arm in the direction that he would like for them to go, this does take a bit more consentration to forcefully throw his opponent. However Darhk must remain completely stationary and cannot use physical attacks while he is focusing on his target. While strangling his enemy Darhk raises his hands in the dierection of the intended target and must keep full attention on his opponent(s). Any sort of attack done to him will break the connection and free his opponent(s). Darhk can hold up to 2 people at a time. Do to his strong connection with the idol the intended target only needed to be 25 meters from Darhk in order for the full strength and effect of the grasp, however the longer he attempts to bind the target the weaker the effect will become after about a minute allowing them to break free of the hold. Having an ATK higher then Darhk's will cut this time In half as it is harder for him to maintain the connection.

Souleater(requires: physicall attack) 300 om

Souleater is Darhk's 3 foot ebony katanna. The hilt is in the shape of a dragon's head.

According to calculations I spent 6100 om
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

  wanting to switch
Posted by: Damien Darhk - 11-21-2016, 01:48 AM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - Replies (5)

So I want to switch this character to someone else else since I've lost interest in writing for Cyborg. The way I would write would seem to close to that of red good. Short it may seem different to those reading the posts I've made as Cy it still felt the same. I'd like to roleplay an evil character but I'm at a lost as too who to switch to. Any v suggestions fellows?

Brick Base Questions
Posted by: Kuzuru - 11-19-2016, 11:24 PM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (4)

I had a coupla questions about the functionality of the base defense upgrades as well as the medical center upgrade.

1 - It says that fortifications offer a % increase to the defender's stats. Now if I wanted to have my base defense be for instance an orb that powered-up PCs that defended the base would that be acceptable? And if so would the defenders get an actual stat increase while they defended or no?

2 - I've been trying to think of uses for the medical centre because it seems a bit expensive for what it offers IMO. Would something like this be practical? If my base was attacked by a large group of people and I had 4 defenders. We'd send out 2 defenders to fight first, keeping the other 2 back. Once the first 2 lose the rest of the defenders would step in and allow them to escape. The defenders that got away would then hop in the medical centre and get patched up while the others were fighting, allowing them to fight again once the second wave of defenders were defeated?

Switching: Hatate to Chronoire Schwarz VI
Posted by: Summer - 11-19-2016, 03:38 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (3)

I don't know if my six weeks is up today or tomorrow so I'm just gonna post it now.

Character name: Chronoire Schwarz VI

Character source: Witch Craft Works

Character history: Little is known about the enigmatic Chronoire Schwarz VI. As an impossibly old witch, she sort of does her own thing, wandering from town to town and city to city, always in search of more power. When it was revealed that the ancient and powerful Evermillion had finally been defeated and sealed, Chronoire jumped at the chance, setting out on a search for the fallen witch. She wasn’t the only one, however. Other witches began their own as well, people who had once been on friendly terms with her. All sorts of master plans came to culmination and clashed when Evermillion, or rather her power, was finally found, sealed away inside a young man. Chronoire got the wheel of loss turning herself. With a simple gift of a candy to the man, presented as a necessity if he were to survive the coming months, the failures would start rolling in. The candy she had given him dissolved one of the many seals placed on Evermillion’s power, allowing him to draw on her power and no longer making him a helpless human. Those who had hoped to only deal with an ordinary person would find someone ready to fight back. And with one seal gone, it would only be a matter of time before the rest dissolved as well, upon which the sealed witch’s power would be fully unleashed, ripe for the picking, which Chronoire was hoping to take advantage of.
Though it was a clever plan, it was not one the witch would get to take advantage of. She has now been dropped into the Omniverse, unable to see her con come to fruition.

Physical Description:
Normal:
Battle-ready:
Stats:
ATK: 4
DEF: 1
SPD: 1
TEC: 4

Starting Proficiencies (3,200): Physical Strength (1000), Ranged Proficiency (1000), Remote Control Proficiency (600), Ranged Materialize Proficiency (600)

Starting Powers (400): Basic Telekinesis (400)

Starting Moves:
Dagger (Physical) (300): A simple, steel dagger that Chronoire keeps in a sheath on her belt for easy retrieval. The blade is double-edged and around a foot long. Though she doesn’t make a point of hiding it, it’s easy to forget about due to her typical reliance on magic.

Coral Spike (Ranged, Materialize) (300): Even outside of her Oceanic Noose, Chronoire can summon up large, jagged coral spikes from the ground. After two seconds of concentration on Chronoire’s part, during which she must remain still, a single, vibrantly-colored spear erupts from the ground beneath an enemy’s feet within 90 feet. The cone-shaped coral spike juts up from the ground three feet into the air, and half a foot wide at the base. These spikes are not perfectly smooth, with several barbs sticking off of them upwards, though due to their small size they are essentially inconsequential. After being summoned, the coral sticks around semi-permanently as a new hazard, easily breakable and slowly falling apart over the course of a few minutes. Summoning up a spear isn’t particularly difficult for Chronoire, and can be done repeatedly with only moderate drain.

Oceanic Blades (Ranged, Materialize, Remote Control, Telekinesis) (300): Large, asymmetrical swords created out of magic. For the most part they take on the form of a normal, straight bladed longsword, four feet long, made out of an unknown but sturdy material, and colored entirely in varying shades of purple. The grip and crossguard of each sword is randomly created upon summoning, and are basically useless for actually holding, as the sword is made out of a single chunk of material and even the non-blade bits are as sharp as the blade itself. Wielding these swords without receiving cuts is all but impossible without the use of telekinesis of some kind.
Chronoire is capable of conjuring and controlling these swords with relative ease, requiring only three seconds of light concentration, during which she can be fully active and mobile, to summon one blade into the air within a ten foot radius of her, and then launch it towards her opponent at about half the speed of an arrow. Launching the blades causes a drain comparable to if she physically threw them. Though it doesn't demand a lot of focus, nor use much energy, being struck will still cancel the summoning part at least. Since the swords require little energy to keep them grounded in reality, she typically just lets them stick into whatever ground or unfortunate soul they happen to hit while she summons more up, leading to a battlefield littered in swords in the case of longer fights. Any of these leftover blades can be picked up and launched again with less energy than if she were to summon a completely new one. In either case however, she can only control one at a time. There is no upper limit to the total number of swords she can summon, and although there is a very minuscule drain per weapon, it adds up over time, more than twenty starts becoming a noticeable wear on her. Under normal circumstances, the swords stick around until she despawns them, even if she gets a fair distance away, however, being knocked out or just running out of steam causes all of them to automatically disappear.
