| Summoning and Frame of Reference |

I have a question related to Summoning. According to the rules, a Prime can summon anything they can visualise in their mind. So I'm assuming that, as long as they've seen or can imagine the object they desire, they can summon it. But what would happen if the summoner lacked the frame of reference regarding some of the object's qualities or functions?
For example, let's say a Prime wanted to summon a machine. I'm presuming that, for the sake of simplicity, a Prime doesn't need to be familiar with the inner workings of a machine in order to summon and use it. But let's say the Prime only saw the machine before when it was non-functional/deactivated; they know how it looks like, but not how it functions or even what its functionality is. If the Prime (for whatever reason) summoned it, would it work normally or would it just be a static, non-functional object due to the fact that the Prime has never seen what it does/how it functions?
Here's another example and this one is the reason why I'm asking this in the first place. Let's say a Prime wants to summon food. However, they've never actually eaten that type of food before, but have only seen it in a picture. If they summoned it and took a bite, would it taste normally? Or would it essentially be tasteless (or, at best, would taste how the Prime imagines it would taste) because the Prime has never actually tasted that type of food before?

Character name:
Negi Springfield
Character source:
Mahou Sensei Negima!
Character history:
Ever since Negi was born, he was an orphan. Or so he thought. When he was six years old, the demons attacked his village and killed almost everyone. It would have been everyone, if not for the intervention of his father, Nagi, who left soon afterwards. The only thing Nagi left him was his staff. That was the first time he saw his father. Ever since then, Negi's goal was to find his father.
After the demons attack, Negi moved and went to magic school. At age ten, he graduated and became a homeroom teacher in Japan. Unbeknownst to him, this was the start of a grand adventure that would bring him into conflict with Cosmo Entelecheia, the same enemy his father fought 20 years ago. He meets his father's old allies, makes new allies of his own, and finds out the truth behind the magic world. Much like his father, Negi defeats Cosmo Entelecheia and saves the world. He also mysteriously disappears ten years after saving the world and is presumed to be dead. However, Negi was only taken by Omni. Traveling to the Omniverse severely weakened Negi, so he can no longer use many of his old abilities.
Physical Description:
Negi is fairly tall with red hair and brown eyes. However, when he uses Raiten Taisou (Super move/transformation), his hair becomes white and his body glows with white light.
Stats:
ATK: 2
DEF: 1
SPD: 4
TEC: 3
Starting Proficiencies:
Physical Strength (1000 OM)
Ranged Proficiency (1000 OM)
Homing Proficiency (600 OM)
Starting Powers:
Instant Movement (Burst Movement - 800 OM)
By concentrating his magic power into his feet, Negi can move faster than the eye can follow for short distances. However, once Negi enters this move, he cannot change directions.
Basic Super Jumping (300 OM)
Starting Moves:
Ensis Exsequens (300 OM - Requires Physical Proficiency)
Negi gathers mana in his hand, forming a sword. The sword can be maintained as long as mana is supplied. Whenever the sword touches a solid object, it attempt to force the object to undergo a phase change, vaporizing the object. If this fails, the sword behaves like a normal sword. However, if the vaporization succeeds, it also creates a cold wave, as some of the energy for the vaporization is taken from the surroundings.
Sagitta Magica (900 OM - Requires Ranged Proficiency, Homing Proficiency)
Negi creates a number of elemental magical missiles and fires them at the enemy. Each missile is weak and can be easily deflected, but this attack can be dangerous when a large number of missiles is used. Firing more missiles takes more time and mana. One missile can be created almost instantaneously, but summoning 17 missiles takes around 3 seconds. Negi's current maximum of 197 missiles takes around 30 seconds to create. If he is interrupted before the missiles are launched, all of the missiles dissipate. These missiles are homing and usually attack from multiple angles, but the missiles can be combined into a stronger, but slower missile. While various elements can be used for different effects. Currently, Negi can only use light. Light missiles deal slightly more damage, but have no special effects.
Chinese Martial Arts (flavor)
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.
Spent - 4900 OM
Remaining - 100 OM
Edited: Changed Sagitta Magica and Ensis Exsequens

Objective: Just be us?
No spots open at the moment. You can apply though...
Our goals? Balance? We are a mixture of everything. I am Retane from Chubbs, and like Minoshia, I will back my comrades up and still act as I always have, if not act a little more resoinsible.
Why so many? Too many alt's. Other then Jack Frost and myself, and Deadpool, we have people with Alternates.
I will never force them to make a choice of which side, but without permission, they can only be one character in a story.
Why I picked who I picked? I can help some and some can help me. It's all about having fun and adventures. I'm one of the bests about winging it and making stoies without tihnking. And I entice some of them. But I have created a decent team that can flow and help our weaker members.

Cold, for so long Dio had known nothing but the icy cold of the bottom of the ocean. Trapped within the coffin with Johnathon's body for nearly a century as he had adjusted to his new form, what had been the body of his brother had became his own long ago, but trapped as he was Dio had been immobile within that container for the latter half of a century.
Then, one day. This changed. The immeasurable pressure that had weighed down on the coffin lid had eased, and then. Artificial light. At first Dio feared for a moment that he was being exposed to the sun by some wayward treasure hunter, and that's when he saw the endless expanse of white around him. The indescribably blank plane around him shone with a light bright enough to illuminate all, yet. He did not burn as he did under the suns natural light letting him know that something else illuminated this place, yet perhaps most perplexing of all to Dio was the massive hourglass in the center. The sands of infinity itself seemed to shift within that massive structure, a power emanating from it that even Dio was forced to recognize. However, seeing this immense object of power convinced Dio of one thing. He wasn't dead. The gates he could see off in the distance, the power he could feel thrumming inside his body. He had been given another chance. A chance to instate his rule without the influence of those damnable Joestars!
Yet in coming here, it seemed he had given up much. Some force kept the power in his body held back, and this substance. Omnilium. Dio somehow knew what this was, and could feel it flowing through his veins more potently than blood ever had, the power that this represented and the exhilirating rush that came from the knowledge that whatever God ruled this world had chosen he, DIO, as the bearer of the mantle of power made Dio ecstatic, a dry laugh escaping his mouth as he began to cackle, this dry sound evolving and becoming a dark maniacal laugh that echoed throughout the nexus.
"Once again it seems that I, DIO, have been blessed by the universe itself. Even after my defeat at Johnathon's hands I have again been selected for the greatness that is the destiny of Dio!"
Collecting himself after that moment of elation Dio looked around, coldly observing his surroundings his eyes focusing in on each of the gates in the distance, Dio taking his time as he'd approach the gates that seemed to be currently in the middle of night or seemed to lack sunlight at all through the Tangled, The Pale Moors, and Coruscant. At this time Dio knew that he was stepping into new territory, and that stepping carelessly into a new world would inevitably lead to his death, so he deliberated. If he went to the pale moors he had no doubt that he would encounter other creatures aligned with darkness, but with that came the caveat of betrayal. After all, how could he ever trust anyone who desired to rule to serve under him one day?
However, in the realms of light he would invariably find enemies. People who bore disdain for the ambitious and those born to rule, people that would find him to be their enemy, and given that Dio had personally witnessed the determination and sickening vitality of those that called themselves heroes he had no desire to make an enemy of an entire realm immediately. No, if Dio had learned anything it was that he needed to have more control and power before attempting to challenge those given such things by virtue of their "nobility". Thinking on this it was apparent to him that he needed to first collect servants in the realms of darkness, garner and collect his power where the eyes of light turn aside in their gross vanity. Yes, today he would venture into those Pale Moors, and there. Dio would find the king of that dark place and depose him. This would take time, and Dio would need to learn the ways of this world from that master first, but one day. Dio knew that he even as he entered that dark, fog filled place, he would rule The World.

Character name: Dio Brando
Character source: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Character history: Born to a poor family, but with endless ambition Dio grew up a bitter child who's heart was filled with malice. Learning how to manipulate others at a young age Dio quickly rose to dominate the slum in which he lived. However, ambition had it's limits in the age of nobility, trapped in the slums Dio grew to hate his father for the events in his life, blaming him for his circumstances and for driving his mother to her death bed. This persisted for years until Dio was old enough to support himself off his talent and guile, and eventually Dio decided to poison his father cursing the man to a slow painful death. However, when his father died and revealed to him the favor he did for George Joestar twelve years ago, handing his son a letter that described the events within and would secure him a place in the Joestar household. Dio Brando seized this chance, seeing a chance to overcome his peasant roots and rise to become the most powerful man in the world he set his plan into motion from a young age, abusing the only son of George Joestar and manipulating the world around Johnathon to drive the boy to despair and make him realize that for his entire life he would do nothing but live in Dio's shadow. His plan very nearly succeeded if not for the influence of one Erina Pendleton, but Dio was not one to surrender so easily, seeing Johnathon trapped in the throes of love admist a sea of despair he approached her one day, and stole the first kiss of Johnathon's girlfriend. Enraged by this Johnathon would overcome despair, the hot blooded scion of the Joestar line burning with rage would come to Dio and in the ensuing beat down Dio would discover the first inkling towards transcending his humanity, and in this, he plotted and waited.
12 years passed and Dio was graduating from college, the valedictorian of the prestigious university Dio's genius was obvious to all, combined with his massive frame and swift movements he was an unrivaled pair with his former rival Johnathon. Dio had won his way back into "Friendship" with Johnathon over the years, and in his mind the hero had taken the bait hook line and sinker while he was poisoning his father, angling to inherit the entire Joestar fortune by manufacturing a series of unfortunate events using the mask that Johnathon was studying. However, he was caught. Through some twist of fate Johnathon caught on to Dio's masterful ploy, and discovered that he was poisoning his father. Cast out of the estate for the time Dio turned to drinking, the same deplorable habit that had lead his father to poverty and a life in the slums, and in a drunken rage he murdered two men. Or, that is how it should have gone. When he used the mask to murder the first of the men he got back up. Now in possession of far more strength than any human had ever had in history and possessed of a constitution that transcended reason the man attacked Dio, and even after having his arm split in half he still attacked, the merest graze shattering Dio's collarbone, and there Dio believed he would die. However, as all was lost and the monster loomed over him to drain his blood the sun began to rise, Dio had been saved by the rise of the sun! Now, Dio knew that he could transcend not just the limits of his birth, but also the limits of humanity! Thus, with the stone mask in hand did Dio return to the house, feigning remorse he drew Johnathon in close to attempt a final good bye, but in that moment just as the final slash was about to be delivered Johnathon's father ran into the blade, substituting his life for that of his sons. However, this noble sacrifice bought Johnathon only a moment's peace to say good bye as Dio put on the mask, bullets firing into him as the police in attendance gunned Dio down, thinking that they had finished the monster known as Dio Brando.
However, they did not yet know what a true monster was. Moments later Dio reincarnated as a vampire who had transcended humanity he entered the room, decapitating one of the officers in a single blow, his hand gliding through the man's skull like a blade through paper, the lifeless corpse of what had been a proud officer of the law toppling to the ground as so much useless meat. Seeing this terrifying display the officers opened fire once more, but found that this time their bullets didn't even possess the power to slow this new monster. Advancing on the officers he would slaughter them one by one, and then he turned his sights on Johnathon. The last barrier to his complete assumption of the Joestar fortune. Intent on murdering the would be hero he chased him throughout the mansion, even as the mansion burned around him he would chase the hero, the flames that burned within unable to kill the monster that he had become. Though through great effort Johnathon would through a great struggle finally trap dio in a free fall where he would end, impaled upon a statue of the goddess of love as the mansion burned in a roaring inferno around him.
Joestar went to recuperate, but as his foe licked his wounds Dio would emerge from the ashes as a more cautious man, no longer allowing emotions to rule him he would gather allies, recruiting the most foul and evil men in the history of England he would force a small English town into submission before him. However, Johnathon had found a master to teach him The Ripple. An art created to hunt the likes of Dio who hid from the sun, and in a heroic conflict that lead to the death of Johnathon's teacher as well as many others Dio was eventually felled, Decapitated as he was pushed from a tower it seemed for sure now that Dio was finally dead.
Little did they know that even decapitation was not enough to end Dio, however, in their conflict Dio had learned a grudging respect for Johnathon. Finally considering the insignificant man he had known as a hero worthy of being his equal. Thus, he decided that he was going to take his body, shooting pressurized fluid out of his eyes in order to incapacitate Johnathon with the surprise attack, cutting off his airflow and the source of his power he forced Johnathon to use his final ripple, the hero giving everything he had to finally destroy the monster he had grown up with, and in the final moments of his life telling Dio that their fate truly was intertwined and that he had always seen him as his brother.
Tragedy however, rarely ends this way, and in Dio's final moments aboard that ship he would stow he and Johnathon's body away within a coffin aboard the ship, and through a century of drift he eventually found himself re-awakening within the nexus, his new body finally recuperated, and Dio given a chance to conquer a new world.
Stats:
ATK:4
DEF:2
SPD:3
TEC:1
Starting Proficiencies:
Physical Strength: Dio is an incredibly powerful being as a vampire, the precursor to his world's "Ultimate Being" he is able to support a man's weight in just one hand, and punch through a wall but not much more right now.[/b] (1000 OM)
Debuff Proficiency: Able to drain the blood of his enemies, and freeze them with the use of his total control of his body. Dio is a master of battlefield control and setting the pace in his fights. (1000 OM)Starting Powers:
Powers:
Regeneration (Advanced): Dio, as a vampire is able to regenerate nigh infinitely from non fatal wounds, this includes even wounds from weapons inflicted by traditional anti vampire weaponry. Dio is not a republic serial villain, there is no hidden weakness here, well except sunlight. That kills him.
(1200 OM)
Super Speed: As a vampire Dio is capable of movement far beyond a normal humans, however, he's not quite used to moving around in his new body quite yet, so this means that it takes awhile to build up to the full speed, and he can't turn very well yet.
(1000 OM)
Starting Moves:
Vaporization Freezing Technique (気化冷凍法 Kikareitōhō?): A freezing ability enabling Dio to freeze his own body parts and transfer this over to other objects or beings. It is able to cancel out the Hamon (An energy controlled by breathing and blood flow.) by freezing the blood in the user's body. This allows him to both effectively block attacks in melee, and do damage to his opponents while freezing or slowing them. Technique deals light damage to Dio in the process as his own limb is frozen solid, essentially forcing his regeneration into overdrive. This attack can freeze or slow someone for up to a minute depending on how much damage Dio can deal to their blood vessels. If used as the killing blow the victims body is frozen solid, and they shatter with the lightest of physical blows. Also requires 1 second of wind up to use offensively, can be charged longer to encase an entire limb in ice through 10 seconds of prolonged physical contact. Long story short, don't grapple Dio. (Costs 600.)
Sunlight weakness: Dio, if exposed to sunlight for a period greater than 10 seconds suffers massive damage, the skin sloughing off his body, and then his bones turning to ash. This is an instant death that can only be avoided through either moving fast enough to avoid the source of light touching him for long enough, but even brief exposure does more damage to Dio than a gunshot.
(Spent OM: 4500)
(Remaining OM: 500)

Dear Diary,
Today it was actually a nice day for once! We were limited to just seventeen attacks on the Community Center. For once, I really wish they would just mind their own business. I feel like they attack us just because they’re too bored hurting each other. I mean… it’s not like we’re hoarding advanced technical equipment or even half-decent food. If I was a human, I’d balk at having to eat the glorified slop they send us to feed the destitute. It makes me wish the Empire would allocate a better budget to this building, but then again, I guess that’d give the gangs down here even more incentive to attack us? That’d be one of those ‘win-lose’ situations, right?
I’ll have to try and scrap together the supplies to make some more cupcakes for Private Hiberius… he was so happy the last time I was able to bake them!
In other news… I haven’t heard from Blues lately, and I’m beginning to wonder what’s become of him. I know that time can sometimes pass differently in other parts of the Omniverse, so I hope he doesn’t come back thinking it’s next week or last year or something equally ridiculous. Thinks were livelier here with Blues, especially once the others warmed up to him. I hope he comes back soon. I’m afraid they may cut down on travel restrictions after that bounty hunter and her friends shot up the top tier.
Don’t tell anyone this, but I watched that with a big smile on my face! It’s not too often you get to see Judge Dredd one-upped on city-wide television. Now… you’ll never see the footage again because it’s been censored and pulled from the Dataverse, but enough people downloaded it that you’ll see it circulate around. She might be a mercenary, but that woman in the suit is going to become a symbol for a few more upstart rebels. Let’s hope she doesn’t just slip away into an island in the Vasty Deep from now till the End Times.
Well, Diary, I wish I had more to say, but there’s not a whole lot that happens down here on Six outside of the usual spats outside the Community Center. And once you’ve been down here for longer than a month, the gunfights and explosions feel like little more than changes in the weather, rather than people dying. It’s sad really… I’m afraid that many of the people who live here have probably become desensitized to it. Once again, I guess we have the Empire to thank for that…
Until next time!
<3 Roll
***
With a sigh, the girl closed the book and locked it up tight. Lifting up her mattress, she slipped it back into its hiding spot where none of her nosey brothers would find it. Hopefully, today would just be another ‘normal’ day in the Tier Six Community Center.

Retane blinked. He knew he had died. The street fighter had killed him. But why was he back here? Was this a joke? Did some higher power have some sick sense of humor and choose to recreate his coming to this land? "What is this?"
The Mark and Sigil on his arm slowly began to glow almost instantaneously. The Namek almost wanted to call the Lythian off. He really wasn't in the mood for dealing with him but this was different. This wasn't the Shadow Mist being activated. No this mist was more of a platinum light, a silver hue even
It formed into a ball and Retane had to wonder if he was suppose to concentrate and form the being that it would soon take the shape of, as he had done with Arith. But, before he could though, a bright flash burst from the orb, blinding the Namek momentarily.
When his vision returned. he found himself staring at a an elf. The skin was fair almost pale, but nearly silverish, matching his long hair.
"He killed you. You let him kill you. Why?" The new being spoke, obviously interested at the Namekian dying.
"Who are you?" The Namek was angry, yet still so lost.
"I can answer that, but only after you think about speaking on what I just asked you.
The green warrior paused, still confused. He had no clue what was going on. But he thought back for a moment.
Retane had called the street figher out and it seemed he had done his job. But why was he being forced to think about it? Was this death? Gouki was no longer about and Retane was sure he had accepted death, so he must be dead.
The warrior tried to think, but his mind had a million questions and very little answers. "I do not know why I allowed myself to lose. I dont know. I don't seem to know anythng but my name and what I am." He paused, " And still I don't even know that."
Retane found himself looking down at solid dirt as he spoke. He felt emotional; angry; sad, confused, and still wondered about all the questions in his head.
A sniffle came from ahead of the warrior and Retane snapped his eyes to look at the figure. He was in the shadow mist, yet the Namekian had not summoned him, and it was that of a silvery gow.
"Summon Arith ad then we shall speak." The figure stepped then, the mist giving way to his figure and color. Still though, he seemed shaded, as if he didn't belong here, but wore a dark orange cloak and had silvery hair.
Retane wanted to call him a Mystic for some reason, but before he had a chance, the shadow mist cast itself and Arith appeared in his golden dragon armor.
The namek paused for a few moments to ponder the situation and had to wonder what the hell was going on. " I didn't summon him, but he's here." Retane had a scowl on his face. "So lets speak?"

Alternate Title: First Annual Jerkface Meet 'n' Greet
because a number of players have mentioned the Vastly Deep as one of their soon stopping places, I've opened up my latest story topic, both in order to foster some prime characters interaction and so that I have something other to do than just talking with NPCs. You don't need to post here to drop in, but if you want to do anything more complicated than a cameo then it would be easier to coordinate form here.
Since the story still focuses mostly on DG, you can also recommend things that can happen in the story, as a way to flesh out Costa del Sol.

Compared to the ride out on the Rust Bucket, returning back to Costa del Sol was as smooth as a cruse liner. With about fifty percent less creaking floor boards and a lot less having to worry about the knot in my stomach from giving me ulcers. Although the fact that I was whisked way from my home by some sociopath, egotistical, god-like being was still at the back of my mind. I had quite a bit of time to simmer down and try to figure out what I was going to do now that I was stuck here. Finding Omni was objective one. But how does one find a omnipotent being if they don't want to be found, and what would I do if I did? Ask him nicely to send me home? Pump him full of rockets and hope it all turns out alright? I was in enemy territory without any intel, without even an idea of where to start to look. And with the crick in my neck from back to back fights with hellish creatures, I wasn't in any position to go stomp around and look. At the least, not then.
I left Choprot's crew alone to rest their injuries, taking a small spare room with only a table and a porthole for my own personal use. With the small taste of what Omnilium could do on the island, I began to experiment. Items of all shapes and sizes filled up the small room, from tents to matches, from bundles of rope to little RC cars. Any and every kind of kit that you could want, and some that you don't. Boxes of ammo appeared from the liquid material, and then went straight into my pouches and backpack. Even whole guns appeared when I focused on them, whole duplicates of the ones I had used in the Phobos Incident and invasion of Hell. There is some restriction I found out, as attempting to call my BFG resulted in a resounding nothing (to my great dismay). And with just a little time all of it was back to the metallic bubble if came from. Time seemed to be the major factor here. Even the most useless junk took minutes to spawn, while anything of worth added on to that. There was also the question of where it came from: Was what I was taking summoned like I was? Like the secondaries? And what happened when I disassembled them back into the Omnilium?
Multi-universal metaphysics weren't a requirement for the USSMC.
In between playing with myself, I did get something done. The tablet I commandeered from the military base was upgraded to be up to USSMC standards. Able to withstand being used as a impromptu melee weapon by a bezerking space marine and then be used by said drugged-to-their-eyeball marine to call orbital bombardment on his position. The parts were simple enough to materialize, and with a bit of work with a screwdriver it was even looking like the PDFs the UAC liked to hand to their desk jockies and mall cops, with a few personal touches. And after killing several hours just working with the Omnilum, the Dataverse provided a wonderful distraction as I waiting for the ship to stop at the port. Although I'm embarrassed to say I got into an argument with an idiot name "Guu". What kind of name is Guu, anyway?
The arrival back at Costa del Sol had no fan fare as the fishing trawler made dock. I slunk off the deck and back into the city proper, now ever more loaded up than when I had left. It seems that a walking arsenal is a standard feature of the Omniverse, as I only got curious glances at most as I walked the streets of the tropical paradise in search of food. I took a seat at an open bistro and thought about what my choices were.
What does someone someone do while they're trapped in a tropical island and loaded up with power and cash...
"...I'll go on vacation" It struck me. I had been fighting monster after monster, going through hellscape through hellscape. I deserved some R&R.
"Well, Omni, I'l give you one thing: You're an asshole, but you're an asshole with taste."
