Okor Paleblood (Alt)
Posted by: Vulre Oakenlimb - 05-01-2015, 03:11 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (6)
Sivo here, just hit 8k, so I'm making al alt.
Character name: Okor Paleblood

Character source: Warhammer 40k/ Original

Character history: Born upon the toxic planet of Barbarus, a world wreathed in clouds of acid, poison, and plague, dominated by the alien Overlords and their armies of the walking dead, Okor was a fine example of a warrior. Taking up a dulled and rusted blade when he was barely out of childhood, he defended his home village of Barbarus alongside the older warriors, holding back the tides of the undead for another day. His life consisted of nothing but this, until the Primarch Mortation established his dominion. The disparate villages of man were united under his rule, and the people struck back against the abominations that rule the planet, climbing poisoned peaks clad in crude breathing apparatuses, putting dead men and Xenos to the sword. Okor followed Mortation faithfully, beholden to the man who had saved his people. As they camped around the single poisonous peak that denied them, that of Mortation's father, the hated Emperor arrived while Mortation was scouting the mountain. To Okor's eternal shame, he was entranced by the Man's palpable aura of charisma. When Mortation returned, he swore to earn his people's independence by slaying his father.

While none of the Death Guard knew what happened upon that peak, Barbarus was quickly swept up into the Great Crusade. Mortation assumed command of the Dusk Raiders, quickly renamed as the Death Guard. Recruits were drawn from Barbarus, their natural resilience augmented by the biological changes wrought by gene-seed. Okor was among the oldest recruits, 15 years of age when he earned the chance to serve. After passing the trials and receiving the gene-seed, he joined the ranks. He served his Primarch across decades of war, consistently participating in some of the bloodiest battles in the great crusade. The pride of the Death Guard disallowed them from fighting anywhere but the frontlines.

When Horus initiated his Heresy, it was clear who the Death Guard would turn to. Mortation was angry and bitter about how his true father had stolen his glory and purpose from him, turning him from the king and savior of Barbarus into just another General. As the Legion travelled through the warp towards Terra, they became marooned. A plague swept through the Legion, rotting the famously resilient death guard from the inside, wracking the legion with an unstoppable infection. In the depths of his fever, Mortation pledged his Legion's souls to the Lord Of All, Nurgle, ending their torment, and beginning their eternal war.

After the Traitors were repulsed from Terra, they fled to the eye of Terror. Finding a haven in the embrace of the warp, the Death Guard lair there, their Daemon Primarch ruling over a perverse recreation of his home, terrorizing the populace from his toxic peak. Okor himself served alongside his legion for 9 millennia, eventually swearing himself to a pilgrimage, promising to not return to his Legion until he had deciphered the nature of his patron. As he clambered through the seemingly endless levels of the Broken Temple, seeking his own name written upon the walls, bloodying his fingers on shattered masonry, feeding on those who tried the task before him and failed. As he neared the peak, the vulture-like Daemons roosting there surrounding him, waiting for him to fail, the vista vanished, replaced with a blank scene of nothingness, and one grinning, featureless being.

Physical Description: (originals only)
[Image: chaos_space_marine_plague_marine_color_b...4fjqdj.jpg]

Okor's armour has long since fused to his flesh after 10 millennia of warfare and exposure to the reality-twisting ways of the warp. It is now more of a chitinous exoskeleton. His abdomen and left arm are exposed, showcasing the blessings that the plaguefather has gifted upon him, and allowing for him to transmit them more easily. Indeed, the sheer quantity of diseases and bacteria contained within his gaunt frame would be enough to rot a planet to the core, were it not for the Omnillium containing it. Unlike most of his bloated Brethern, Okor is almost skeletal, with cracked, yellowing bones, covered in calciferous masses lurking just beneath his pallid skin. A tabard hangs from his waist, stained with grime, filth, blood and pus, and still proudly emblazoned with the mark of Nurgle. A horn juts from the center of his head, a twisted, broken thing. Beneath it lies a single, blood-shot eye.

A rusted, pitted blade used since the bloody opening acts of the Long War, this sword has no name, no poems written about those it has claimed, merely a body count. It drips with pestilence, the diseases and toxins coating it driving those it strikes into a powerful, but short fever. During this fever, the foe is slowed and weakened, and their mind is addled somewhat by the fever, driving them to recklessness. The blade itself is surprisingly resilient, and comparable to one of the dreaded chainswords of the 41st millenium in terms of destructive potential.

  Remilia Scarlet
Posted by: Doomguy - 05-01-2015, 02:49 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (7)

This is for my second character, the account has already been made and just need activating

Character name: Remilia Scarlet, the Scarlet Devil

Character source: Touhou Project

Character history:
A vampire of 500 years, Remilia Scarlet had managed to carve out a novel existence with her younger sister Flandre in the heart of Europe from her home, the Scarlet Devil Mansion. She lived from one extravagance to another, fighting off would vampire killers (looking like a ten year old means most underestimate you), and amassing a small army of servants to her beck and call. But at some point, probably due to the rapidly dwindling mythical creatures left in the "real world", Remilia up rooted it all and teleported herself and company to the Japanese land of Illusions, Gensokyo.

When she arrived, there had been a stalemate between the human village and the youkai that lived in Gensokyo. Youkai in the Touhou universe gain power from the fear of them by humans and the tales that they told. With the human population protected by both truce and retaliation from the Hakurei shrine maiden, the youkai had wasted away and grown weak, leading to tension between the two. The newly arrived Remilia saw her opportunity to put herself on the map, and quickly gathered subordinates looking for power under her wings, and started rampaging across the pocket dimension. She would eventually be put down by Reimu Hakurei and the powerful youkai who wished to keep the harmony between the two races, but by then she had already made a reputation of her self and could afford to offer a contract between herself and and the human village: blood in exchange for no further attacks. the contract was proven distasteful, but it was agreed to, and in light of previously events the shrine maiden would create ground rules that would allow youkai to fight and regain their reputations with little harm to humans.

Not long afterwards, Remilia would also cause the scarlet mist incident, draping most of Gensokyo in a red fog that blocked out the run (so that she walk out in the open in the daytime). After being foiled by Reimu and the ordinary witch Marisa Kirisame, the vampire had taken a more peaceful approach to interacting with the populous of Gensokyo, mostly by hosting parties in her honor and the occasional incident solving, whatever fits her fancy (including, at one point, going to the moon).

When Remilia had been taken my Omni, she had been part of a hunt with many other Gensokyans on a hunt for the trouble maker Seija Kijin (in Impossible Spell Card)

Physical Description:
[float=right][Image: latest?cb=20130416083216][/float]
To the untrained eye, Remilia looks to be a 10 year old noble girl of french decent and Renaissance upbringing (if she was turned at that age or if there's some other reason for this is unknown). Pale with a light purple shoulder length hair, she usually wears ballroom dress that adorned with a large ribbon and matching hat, lest she's attending or hosting a party. In generally she holds a regal and charismatic look to her, and attempts to be the center of attention. Which make her leather wings and blood red eyes stand out, which she makes no attempt to hide.

Starting Proficiencies:
Ranged Proficiency (1000 OM)

Starting Powers:
Flight (1800 OM)
Foresight (1500)

Starting Moves:
Certain Kill "Heart Break" (300 OM, requires Ranged Proficiency)
Remilia summons a one-handed spear of pure red magic in her hand, requiring two seconds for it to fully form in her hand, aim it, and throw. Once thrown, it flies through the air like a bullet, being incredibly accurate due to not being effected by wind or gravity. Although average in damage, it's main feature is that it can punch through physical defenses less than six inches thick and goes through the target, even through several people, and disappears after five feet after hitting a target. Once used, Remilia needs to regain energy either through to use it again, making it impossible to fire rapidly.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

  A World Fit for Lubbock!
Posted by: Lubbock - 05-01-2015, 10:21 AM - Forum: The Vasty Deep - No Replies

"This... Is... AWESOME!" Lubbock shouted into the open air, the sun's rays bearing down upon the golden sand. This place was a dream for the green-haired pervert.
"You sicken me..." Syura insulted him. Lubbock coolly shrugged it off and began to remove his clothes, beginning with his green trench coat, then his shirt, jeans and shoes until he was just in his underwear underneath. Due to Cross Tail being formed from Lubbock's own Omnillium, he was able to connect it to his waist rather than his belt. Syura sounded somewhat exasperated while Lubbock flexed his fingers, "Oh, what are you up to now, Thread Head?"
"Isn't it obvious? I'm going hunting!" Lubbock just sounded too proud of himself. He laid his clothes smoothly on a nearby rock, before running and jumping into the warm water.

A bunch of light seaweed floated to shore, connected to some large object. Well, in actual fact it was the body of Lubbock, who was exhausted after hauling in a small sack of some kind of tuna-esque fish and what looked like a squid. He held firmly onto his two knives he had summoned with Cross Tail. He made sure to scramble from the water in case the blood dripping from the blades and wires alike decided to get a mind of it's own and attract some rather unfriendly sharks.
He stumbled, feeling half-dead, to a large rock. He leaned back on it, the warmth heating him up and drying him. He went to grab his clothes, only to find they were gone. Red rose in his face like a volcano on the verge of blowing.
"Syura, I swear, if you say-"
"Learned your lesson?"
"I would kill you, but you are a damn figment of my imagination..."

Could you please delete my Udyr account. I have been sitting on this for a while and I've decided I don't know what I want my second account to be, so I'm going to take some time, write as a few characters off-line (already have written 3k+ for one prospective character) until I really work out what I want to do.

  Agnès Oblige
Posted by: Agnès - 05-01-2015, 12:43 AM - Forum: Joining - Replies (2)

Quote:(Agnès' history has Bravely Default spoilers. If you care, don't carry on. If you don't care, though, read on~. Also, this is Mami - Bolded for clarity's sake. Making a second character because I have OVER EIGHT THOUSAAAAAAAAAND OM and also Agnès is a much-needed addition to the Omniverse. WE NEED SUPPORTY PARTY PEOPLE. The IP is the same, if you care about checking that, so that's cool.)

(DONE. I have to go to sleep soon... *Face-plants on keyboard*)

Character Name: Agnès Oblige

Character Source: Bravely Default: Where the Fairy Flies

Character History: Agnès is a 20 year-old girl from Ancheim, Luxendarc. She was made a vestaling at one point, raised alongside Olivia, another vestaling like herself, whom she grew close to. She also periodically visited a man named Sage Yulyana during her training as a vestaling, though little else is known of her life before Bravely Default's events otherwise.

Agnès is the vestal of wind, and she spends her days performing rites for the Wind Crystal in order to keep the world's balance. One day, however, at the same time as a large-scale earthquake engulfing Norende, the Wind Crystal is swallowed by shadows and Agnès' acolytes sacrifice themselves to save her. She flees the Wind Temple and is ordered by Ancheim's king to see the damage in Norende firsthand, which she does, and she meets Tiz as well as a self-proclaimed cryst-fairy named Airy there. They escape Eternian forces together, who had been tracking her and attempting to kill her. Agnès and Tiz eventually meet Ringabel, then Edea not long after, who they fight alongside to awaken the Crystals.

In each Temple there is a Crystal overtaken by a monster, which Agnès and her friends defeat. Agnès awakens the Crystals, helping the world return to a sense of balance politically as well in the process. However, as the group enters the Holy Pillar made by the four Crystals being awakened, they are seemingly sent to another dimension. They awaken the Crystals again, then again, then again, then again until they are told they have been deceived all along by Airy.

They fight and nearly kill Airy, who reveals herself as a demonic servant for the God of Destruction Ouroboros. Airy retreats to the Norende Ravine, which then held the Dark Aurora. Agnès and her friends pursued and entered the Dark Aurora to finish things, where they finished Airy off and then confronted Ouroboros. It was revealed that awakening the Crystals linked numerous parallel Luxendarcs, which would then be consumed for power by Ouroboros. They fought Ouroboros in a long and difficult battle, but they eventually prevailed, and Agnès went with the other Four Warriors of Light to another Luxendarc before they separated again forever.

But it wasn't quite another Luxendarc Agnès found herself in.

Physical Description: Agnès is tall and slim. She has dark brown eyes with long, thick eyelashes, thin brown eyelashes, a small but somewhat pointed nose, thick lips and a small chin. Her hair flows from her head down even past her waist. She has narrow shoulders, with long arms and legs to remain proportionate with her height. Her hands are narrow and her fingers are long.

Agnès wears a white dress which reaches halfway down her thighs, with black straps connecting to her shoulders and tying together on her back. Extending from her shoulders is a pair of long, white sleeves with red ribbons wrapped around her arms just above her elbows. At the end of her sleeves is a pair of tight black gloves. On her legs she wears a pair of thigh-high white boots with heels that trade speed for a few inches to her height. On her head she wears a thick ribbon-like garment parting the hair that runs down her back from the hair that runs along the sides of her face.

Starting Proficiencies (1400): Ranged Proficiency (1000), Buff Proficiency (400)

Starting Powers (2500): Healing (2500)

Starting Moves (900):
Angel's Bow (300)
A pink bow said to have once been used by an angel of love, with a pair of large feathers extending from the point where an arrow is supposed to rest. In Luxendarc it has the power to pacify or even make a target shot by its arrows fall in love with the wielder, but this ability seems to have been taken away in the Omniverse. Its arrows shoot swift and true, though it takes a strong arm and steady aim to even shoot close to a target. Drawing an arrow back and aiming takes Agnès about three to four seconds. Agnès cannot use magic while aiming or firing her bow.

Esuna (300)
Agnès picks a target to relieve of any and all debuffs. This takes two seconds per debuff attached, up to a maximum of ten seconds. This is exhausting to use again and again, making it best to use when Agnès knows for sure her target will not receive any more debuffs. Esuna cannot self-target (Agnès cannot use it on herself).

Protect (300)
Agnès picks a target and, after a five second charge time, grants them 1 extra DEF. This DEF boost lasts two posts, the post it's used in and the next one, at which point it must be renewed to retain the stat boost. It cannot be self-targeted (Agnès cannot use it on herself) nor can Protect stat boosts be stacked. Protect can, however, be stacked with other buffs.

Remaining OM = 200

Agnès? Rules? Unacceptable! (But yes, I did read to them. And agree to them. See my original joining thingy for that.)

  **DEAD41**[01] - Android Eighteen (NPC)
Posted by: Proto Man - 04-30-2015, 08:21 PM - Forum: Dante's Abyss Records (2015) - No Replies

Appearance and Extra Information - http://omniverse-rpg.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1900

Backstory – Android 18 is a former champion of the Abyss. When she arrived in the Omniverse, she got caught up in the whirlwind that was Ganondorf’s attempt to etch out a kingdom in the Endless Dunes. When the woman’s independence clashed with Ganondorf’s personality, he had her thrown into servitude. She continued to assert herself until she was thrown into the dungeon for a period of time. After months of imprisonment, she was freed by Karl Jak after agreeing to help him with his game. She is a willing participant, knowing that winning the contest will ensure her the materials she needs to remain independent.

Relationships - Ganondorf ("Fuck you.") and Enel ("Fuck you too.")

Handicap – 5 -> Although she has spent most of her time in the Omniverse trapped in the dungeons of Castle Ganondorf, Karl Jax provided her with excellent medical care and raw Omnilium. This is the fourth Dante's Abyss she has entered. She knows all the tricks, and she is fighting to win, regardless of who or what stands in her way.

  [Pre-Show] Contract Signings
Posted by: Karl Jak - 04-30-2015, 08:18 PM - Forum: The Dante Verse - Replies (4)

The season was almost upon them.

All that remained was to ink a few additional contracts before they could start launching the Dataverse and local networking adverts.

And for that purpose, Karl had made sure to set up his office extra pretty to ensure that his more elite prospects felt comfortable as they signed their forms. As he adjusted his seat and neatened up the stack of papers, Karl heard a gentle series of knocks at his door before his intern popped her head through the open doorway.

“Your twelve o’clock is here, Mr. Jak,” the girl whispered. She was a nice worker, but she was terrible sheepish—to the point where he sometimes wanted to yell at her to be more extroverted. How could you hope to survive in this industry when you had problems looking a famous person in the face?

“Send her in, Carmen,” Karl replied as he found his nice pen and watched as the blonde woman with the robotic parts strode into his office.

“Is this really necessary?” The woman asked before taking a seat on the other side of the desk. “You already have my signatures for all those little videos in your library, Karl. Do I really need to sign more contracts?”

“These are different papers, Eighteen. They are just to confirm that you’ll be participating, so the company has free license to incorporate you into advertising packages. I mean, you’re a former Grand Champion, so you can imagine that we’d all love to be a little more visible with your presence. Plus there’s that whole plot where you were imprisoned by one of the desert’s many tyrants. Do you realize how great a story that is? A former champion reduced to slavery who makes another stab at grandeur? The people are going to eat that up and scream for seconds. I don’t know how long you’ve been removed from our home, but angst-riddled and emotionally conflicted heroines are all the blaze.”

Eighteen rolled her eyes. While she’d never liked Karl (being a multi-year entrant into Dante’s Abyss did that to anyone), the cyborg knew the man did his job well. Worse than that, she knew she owed him for pulling her out of Ganondorf’s dungeon. If she was lucky, the would-be king would be drawn to allure and grandeur of the competition. Nothing would make her happier than the chance to put a knife or any sort of sharp implement through the Gerudo’s dark heart.

The thought brought a rare thing to the beautiful yet mournful woman—a smile. “Where do I need to sign?” She asked as she leaned over and picked up the pen.
