Empire Bounty for Mickey and Minnie

I don't know if Prime NPCs can get bounties, but I think that they had enough of a run-in with stormtroopers in that post to at least get Mickey a bounty with the Empire.

Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists
Posted by: Mickey Mouse - 07-12-2015, 12:35 PM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - Replies (18)

So, I've sort of decided to build Mickey as an assist-focused character. Like, he'll still have a Super Move or two, and some spells of his own to fight with, but instead of Power-Ups or Alternate Forms, he's going to be building a miniature army of Disney characters to summon at will in big battles.

That said, I'm going to start that off by having him find an assist for each verse, and I'm trying to pick those Disney characters and flesh them out a bit, because I want each of them to have a purpose. I don't want all of them to be offensive, for example, like Simba (the one I've already gotten) is. Some of them I would love to be support characters, or do other nifty things, but I'm trying to figure out what I could use them for, which is part of the reason I'm creating this thread. So I'm going to list off some of my ideas and if anyone wants to suggest/discuss anything, like suggesting characters I could pull or what certain characters could do, I would love that.

To start off with, I've got Simba, who is an offense-based Assist from Camelot.

Coruscant
Stitch - idk what he would be used for? Offensive stuff, maybe?

Tangled Green
Mushu - because of the Asian-inspired villages of ninjas and what not? He seems like he could work pretty well as a support character, maybe like calling up the power of the Ancestors or something.
Maybe a Tarzan character instead? Greg suggested Pocahontas?

Endless Dunes
Genie - I've pretty much decided on this. One day when I'm traveling in the Dunes I'm going to have Mickster discover the Genie's lamp. He's a support character.

Vasty Deep
Dumbo - Mickey's way of having flight, perhaps (though I'm also looking at the Magic Carpet from Aladdin for this, thanks Proto) but what could he do as an actual assist?
Looking for other character options for here

The Pale Moors
I have no clue what goes here. Jack Skellington? Idk.

Ashen Steppes
Another place Mushu could work, but I really like the idea of him being from the ninja villages? Ideas?

Frozen Fields
Elsa? Olaf the Snowman? Something not from Frozen would be preferable, though? >.<

"The future is not set. There is no fate then what we make" John's chance was now to end Skynet and the war all together. After a rousing speech to his troops, there was a mass of cheering. Kyle Reese has volunteered to go back to 1984 to end the war and the last ditch attempt to kill John. Just as John stood at the time displacement portal, he disappeared.

-----------------------------------
John's head hurt. He stood in a blank white area with a white figure staring at him as the figure began to speak. John listened intensely. But he frowned. They were about to win the war.. Kyle and Sarah .... !!!!!

The fountain In front of him was confusing. Was this a ruse of Skynet to confuse him?!! Only time would tell.

Staying at a friend's house - a handy informative guide

Staying at a friend's house - a handy informative guide

We all find ourselves in need of relying on the generosity of others from time to time. But these situations can be fraught - it's easy for tension to develop when stepping into someone else's personal space. I've created this handy guide to help smooth things over.

STEP 1 - Get settled in
Make a space for yourself if there isn't one already. Get your things unpacked. You'll want to make sure you have enough room, so move the host's furniture if you need to.

STEP 2 - Stretch your boundaries
Now that you're in, you'll want to start filling up some of the space. Make sure there are no gaps in the host's kitchen. If they have a fridge, start filling it up. You should be aiming to try and get most of the space. This establishes dominance early on. Remember - the host is catering to YOU.

STEP 3 - Establish Ground Rules

Now that you've established physical space, it's time to start occupying mental space. If anything needs doing around the house - taking out bins, buying new toothpaste - be sure to remind the host. It's their job, after all. Make a point of doing only your own washing up; if you have friends or family around for meals or drinks, it's the host's job to clean up.

STEP 4 - Begin to Detach
If you have any problems, whether real or transient, make sure you discuss them with your host. Be calm but persistent. Start to insist upon certain things being done your way. This is just as much your house as theirs, after all. Gently remind them of their role as host and that any promises of rent you have made are negotiable.

STEP 5 - Detach Completely
There's no reason for livability to get in the way of a good house arrangement. If you have any latent mental health issues, this is the time to let them out. If it helps, falsify or simply hallucinate events - this helps the host know that logic isn't going to stand in the way of you getting what you want. By now you should be starting to feel pretty integrated in your new home.

STEP 6 - Get Asked to Leave
What? Dunno why this is here. Greg?

STEP 7 - Call your host a Fucking Cunt
FUCK YUO HITLER

  Envy the Jealous
Posted by: Ikit Claw - 07-12-2015, 07:53 AM - Forum: Joining - Replies (2)

Character name:Envy

Character source:Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Character history:
Envy embodies the self-loathing jealousy that burdens the hearts of every man, woman, and child. His very existence is the product of his creator’s attempt to achieve perfection of mind, body, and soul by casting out the very “sins” he believed bounded the humans of his world to their mortality. This creature would come to be known simply as “Father”.

Father would find that to achieve his ultimate goal of “true” freedom from the confines of mortal existence, he would need to swallow the very thing that created the universe: a transdimensional being that labeled itself “Truth”. To do this, he would need the power of millions upon millions of human souls to harness enough power to become one with what he considered “god”.
Hence the creation of the country known as Amestris merely a few hundred years ago. He planned to build the country into a massive ritual circle known in their world as a “transmutation circle”. This circle would enable Father to consume the souls of the country’s populace, when the required circumstances came into fruition.
For these circumstances to be met, Father was in need of agents to ensure that these circumstances would be met, and that the populace would never be able to properly interfere with his plans.
Thus the homunculi were born.
Creatures born of the very essence of sin itself, their lives would be defined by the very traits their own creator had molded them from. The fourth of these would be known as the homunculus “Envy”.
As with every other Homunculus, Envy was created using a philosopher’s stone. An object forged from the essences of numerous mortal souls through one of the cruelest aspects of Alchemy. Envy in particular was created for the sole purpose of spreading distrust, chaos, and bloodshed across key points of the country in preparation for Father’s ritual using his key ability to shapeshift into nearly anything.
Of particular note, he was the key instrument in causing the Ishvalan Uprising in the east by disguising himself as an Amestrian officer, and shooting a child of Ishvalan descent. The genocide that would ensue would be a crucial component in Father’s plan, and only tightened the creature’s grip around the country. There came a point in which all seemed assured, when the Promise Day was nearly at hand, and all of Father’s “children” had placed each piece of the puzzle into its place perfectly.
He would prove to be quite useful in the proceeding years following the conflict, making sure to eliminate any who would prove potential disruptions in Father’s plan. One of these humans would be known as Maes Hughes, a man loved by many, but too smart for his own good. In discovering the countrywide transmutation circle, Maes would attempt to inform his comrade Roy Mustang of the danger, but would be killed by Envy himself (after transforming into the man’s wife, whom he had treasured alongside his daughter above all else).
This action would eventually prove to be a detrimental to Envy's welfare, being that Mustang would begin seeking revenge for his best friend’s murder, and would eventually discover it was Envy after the creature began to excessively gloat of how he committed the deed. For the ensuing torture inflicted upon Envy would echo throughout his very essence, and as he would find himself trembling in the darkness, fearing the vengeance of the very creature he looked down upon with such hatred, hiding behind the various cables lining the network of tunnels under the city of Central, he would find himself flung through time and space. He would find himself summoned into the Omniverse.
In this Omniverse, Envy finds himself with the inability to transform into his massive, hulking true form. He’s now stuck only being able to change into a life form close in height and length to that of an adult human, as if the world around him was bending his very being to its will. He has also found that his regenerative abilities have been greatly diminished, causing the Homunculus to have grown far more cautious when he chooses to take on his favorite form.

  Off and Running
Posted by: Kakashi Hatake - 07-11-2015, 07:12 AM - Forum: The Tangled Green - Replies (4)

The trek across the blank backdrop of the Nexus had proved to be somewhat longer than anticipated. The silver-haired shinobi had been plodding along at a lazy pace, hands in his pockets as his eyes continuously scanning the horizon for signs of imminent threat. Kakashi would estimate that it had been an hour or so since his awakening at the base of the fountain, though he was in no hurry. If he truly was in another land, he didn’t exactly have any appointments to keep. With no signs of life to be seen in any direction, the shinobi had slowly relaxed into his usual lackadaisical rhythm.

If this is actually a genjutsu, whoever casted it gets no points for originality…

The scarecrow harkened back to his ‘dream’ (if one could call it that), trying to recount what the voice had told him. Another world, separate from his, dubbed the Omniverse; named after the supposed deity of the realm, Omni, who had selected to become part of his world. The leaf ninja was not one to just accept such a notion, especially bearing in mind his prior encounters with illusion-casters and tricksters. In his line of work, attacks on the psyche were as common as pig shit to a farmhand. Still, a few nagging details clattered around in his mind: the ‘illusion’ had overpowered his flawless chakra control and his seemingly faultless dojutsu. With no better ideas, the lanky shinobi continued along his invisible path.

Presently, Hatake took note of a figure along the horizon. What had been a mere speck moments ago seemed to be, at least from this distance, some sort of archway? Though he was not sure what he was now approaching, the silhouette was a welcome change from the otherwise featureless abyss. Not since the fountain had he seen much of anything in this place; with renewed vigor the scarecrow quickly closed in on the shape, dashing at full speed. When finally reached the gate he gave pause, examining it closely. At a glance it looked to be a mossy stone archway alone in the whiteness, leading to nowhere. Kakashi stepped around the structure, noting its apparent lack of connection to anything material. It seemed to be completely ordinary, or as ordinary as a stone archway overgrown with vegetation could be in the middle of an infinite purgatory. That was, save for the fact that the area enclosed by the stone bricks seemed to shimmer and ripple, as if a pond had been turned on its side.

“Some kind of…portal?” the silver-maned shinobi muttered, running his gloved hand along the rough stone. He quickly pulled a shuriken from his belt, took a step back and tossed it gently into the archway. The membrane rippled as the metal star met its surface, the weapon disappearing before his eyes. The leaf ninja exhaled sharply through his nose. “Looks like I’ve got no choice,” he sighed, stepping through the portal.

- - -

As the ANBU crossed the dimensional threshold, familiar sounds met his ears. He blinked hard a few times, clearing the blurriness that apparently came with interdimensional travel. Cool air met his skin as the scene slid back into focus. He appeared to be in a dense forest, the lush canopy some 3 stories above his head. The sturdy trees that supported the leafy ceiling stood just feet apart, each vying for the sunlight that now managed to only vaguely peek through their foliage. For a moment the lanky ninja wondered if he had broken the illusion or returned home, whichever the case may be. After a moment of inspection he dismissed this notion, citing differences in the flora that surrounded him; they were not of any kind that he found familiar. He sighed, gazing up at the towering arboreal colossi huddled around him. The likelihood of this being some intricate illusion was rapidly dwindling.

“Well, at least I’m familiar with forests…” the leaf shinobi stated, addressing no one.

As these words crossed his lips he heard the sound of crashing limbs coming from the east. At once he was behind the nearest trunk, obscuring his slender form from view. As the sound grew near he began to feel a familiar pickling on the back of his neck; he could sense a pair of chakra signatures nearing his location. The ANBU captain drew a handful of shuriken from his belt pouch, a smile spreading across his face. He had found the illusion casters at last.

“Hurry up, slowpoke!”

“Shut up! You got a head start!”

The scarecrow’s heart sank as the voices grew nearer. A few moments later his fears were confirmed as a duo of children, not more than 8 years old ran past, laughing merrily as they passed. Kakashi narrowed his eyes at the boys, his sharingan focusing on the duo. Aside from their minute chakra signatures, he could sense nothing suspect. Cursing to himself, he leapt from cover, giving chase to the boys. He would find out where he was one way or another.

A strange alliance, the journey continues
Posted by: Yu Kanda - 07-11-2015, 03:32 AM - Forum: The Tangled Green - Replies (8)

Quote:....continued from Rekindling the spark,http://omniverse-rpg.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&p=31437#p31437

Kanda feels as if he is being thrown through the gate, for the short time he is being transported he loses all sense of direction. A small boost of adrenaline rushes throughout his body. What kind of madness was this ? His grip tightened around his sword afraid of losing it in this odd place. Not being able to tell the difference between up and down Kanda can't do much more then brace himself. His senses heighten as he concentrates, getting ready for whatever may happen next.

Suddenly a bright light forces Kanda to close his eyes for just a second. As he slowly attempts to open his eyes Kanda regains his vision only to see the ground quickly heading towards him. Making sure he doesn't face plant into the uncomfortable looking ground he quickly reacts making sure he lands safely. Moving his sword behind him Kanda gracefully lands kneeling down on his left knee and catching himself with his left hand on the ground to soften the impact.

Once on the ground he looks around him. He sees Ruby brushing off some dirt and a bit of mud, apparently her landing wasn't as subtle as his own. Quickly standing up and wiping off the filth that may have found its way onto the cloth around his left knee, making sure he didn't look as ridiculous as the young girl in front of him. He sheathed his sword back into the scabbard and focused his attention towards Ruby.

'Why did you do that ? It could've been dangerous' Kanda said to her with a strict tone of voice, obviously he wasn't amused by her action earlier in front of the gate.

The girl turned around, seeing Kanda standing up straight with only a speck of filth on his knee her face changes as if she was thinking 'Are you kidding me' as her front was covered all over. Not a graceful landing at all.

' I'm not a child and can handle myself perfectly fine She said with her chin up, clearly feeling the need she has to prove herself. Kanda let out a small sigh as he shakes his head whilst walking towards her.

' Next time, when i tell you to wait or be careful and you don't listen , don't come crying to me when you get eaten by whatever creature lurks within these places.' Kanda said attempting to scare her a little bit. only to get a 'Hmpf' in response as she continues to try and get her clothes cleaned up.

Now that he spoken his mind he starts to look around him to his surroundings. He didn't notice at first but the temperature changed quite drastically when comparing it to the place they previously were. The humid atmosphere made the heat quite unpleasant for him and the long clothing he was wearing. Not before long his forehead started to produce a small amount of sweat. Around him he saw a dense forest, tall never before seen trees and bushes, flowers that look pretty and traitorous at the same time, perhaps they contained poison of some kind ? To his great annoyance small insects were flying around him already. The combination not too tall grass, dirt and mud surrounded him and Ruby who seemed to have landed at from what he could tell one of the few semi-open places.

He walked towards Ruby, seeing if he could give her a hand when behind him he heard the sound of a snorting horse. He turned around and there he was. Mr. Layton found his way into the damp jungle and he as well did not seem to have much difficulty landing after the strange journey through the gate. In his left hand he held the reigns of the by Kanda summoned horse which also found it's way through the mysterious gate.

Welcome to the insect infested forest of strange flowers and heat Mr. Layton. He said to the hat wearer. Obviously he did not like where he ended up.

Why did you bring the horse ? It seemed Kanda did not mind leaving the horse he summoned behind. It may have come over a bit cold but Kanda did not see it that way.

Thank you Kanda, it does seem to be quite warm here. And i couldn't leave this poor animal behind. It's still a living creature, whether its summoned with omnilium or not. The facial expression of the man indicated that he was puzzled by Kanda's question, before explaining how he extracted his vehicle earlier.

To avoid a discussion Kanda listened and walked towards the horse, again concentrating on the omnilium. Meany. a soft whisper said behind him by a young girl's voice. Kanda let this one go and pretended not to have heard it. It did not take as long without the carriage and the horse was vanished into thin air as he opened his eyes once again.

Mr. Layton went over to Ruby and they were talking about something, Kanda couldn't quite hear what they were talking about. He started to walk towards them when suddenly he heard another noise behind him. Mr. Layton and Ruby were standing in front of him so whatever made that noise it wasn't from his new made allies. Quickly he turned around with his right hand on his sword.

In front of him, faced down into the dirt there was a man. Yet he had something familiar. Taking a closer look at his clothes he started to recognize him. As the man turned over to lay on his back and take a large breath Kanda knew for sure, It was the mad swordsman that they encountered in the previous world. The one that attacked him and his comrades. Didn't he lost his life in the explosion caused by Mr.Layton's hat ?

Kanda did not wait for answers, he quickly drew his sword and placed the sharp looking tip a mere inch from the swordsman's throat who's eyes widen when he saw Kanda's angered yet focused gaze when pointing the weapon at him. The man who was earlier brave enough to take on both him and Ruby now reached his hands op without a second thought. Don't kill me ! He said loud enough for the others to hear.

Hold on Kanda Mr.Layton said. Give this man a chance to present his case to us, we only heard one side of the mystery that was called the arrest.

Kanda grunted yet listened to Mr.Layton Alright then, start talking. Make it fast and make it good

Ruby quickly made her way next to Kanda, her weapon also in her hands as she attempted to sound though and threatening aswell Yes make it good She copied Kanda.

The floored man looked up between Ruby and Kanda and he started talking 'My name is Quill, and i was falsely accused by those guard. All i tried was to get justice for what they did to me.They took away my family, friends, everything in ever had. I did not intend harm on anyone besides the empire.Honestly i swear it ! I thought you came there to help them and turn me over to the Empire ! I hid in the red car in order to escape them. Please don't kill me' The man quickly said, his voice had a hint of fear in it. Was that because of the weapon pointed at a vital spot or was it fear of this so called Empire, Kanda pondered.

See, it seems to be a misunderstanding after all Mr. Layton said with a calm voice as if he knew all along. No need for violence here, sheathe those weapons and help the man up, he appears to have information about this world. Perhaps he could answer some of our questions
Those words made sense, yet Kanda did not trust Quill one bit. not breaking eye contact he sheeted Mugen back into the black scabbard.

Let us find a safe place and then question him, being out here in this strange jungle isn't the smartest plan He replied to Mr.Layton, who agreed to this.

Kanda reached out a hand to the man, which the man immediately accepted. Kanda squeezed his hand firmly as he whispered Hurt them, betray me and I will end you're existence in a threatening way. Ruby who was standing close might have heard it but Kanda did not care at that point, and turned towards Mr. Layton.

Ruby's expression changed as she offered Quill a quick smile before following Kanda. Quill did not take long to head towards his savior Mr.Layton either.
I even found something resembling a path, others have been here. Mr. Layton pointed out. He had a keen eye, Kanda totally missed that. The path was narrow and no easy terrain. The forest was dense

This time ill go in first, Ruby behind me, Mr.Layton and Quill can take the rear. Stay close together Kanda said while looking towards Ruby specifically when he called her name. Ruby looked up towards the tree as if she was innocent and didn't do anything.

The group of now four slowly made their way through the jungle. Kanda taking point was looking around him carefully to make sure there was no trap, danger or any other surprises. Behind him he heard the others talking. But Kanda wasn't paying attention to that he just wanted to get to a safe place, preferably alive. They were travelling for a an hour or two when all of a sudden... 'What was that ?'Kanda thought as he thought heard something.

Ssssh! He said as he turned towards the others, who stopped as well.

Ruby raised an ear I don't hear anythi- . Ruby did not get a chance to finish her sentence or a very load roar could be heard shaking Kanda's insides. He heard trees crack near them and without a moment's hesitation he shouted towards the other Run ! .

Kanda picked up the pace, moving faster then he did before in the nexus during his fight, but he didn't think about holding back now. His coat being blown back by the wind he picks up from his running speed. Ruby quickly passed him. He looked behind him and saw Mr.layton running holding on to his head making sure he didn't lose it. Quill was running as well, the fear visible on his face.

Ruby vanished into the bushes ahead, Kanda quickly followed but a large leaf slapped him straight onto his face, blocking his vision for a second. He shook his head and opened his eyes again, he saw Ruby turned around on another small open spot, the ground was allot more muddy and slippery as where they arrived.

What are you doing ? Kanda said as he was heading towards Ruby.

  alt.. around the corner
Posted by: Miranda Frost - 07-10-2015, 11:38 PM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - Replies (5)

Hello again, with the ability to choose an alt just around the corner, I've been thinking about what to choose, and got stuck in the same delimma I had with my first two characters x.x

So far here is my list:

343 Guilty Spark: From the halo verse, this was the first character i roleplayed as.. anywhere. I find him somewhat easy to play. He's madly obsessive with knowledge and managing his home, Installation 04. Here I see him going wherever there is knowledge.. and that's about everywhere. The floating, talking librarian.

Cpl. Church: An ODST of mine, this religious maniac joined the UNSCMC to take religious war and sweet revenge to the covenant. He iiiss mildly insane, but that doesn't stop him from charging into a legion of covenant soldiers. Buuut that is what plasma fire is for.... -cue the playing of taps-

HK-47 series assassin droids: assassin droids based on hk-47's personality. I cant quite get the original down.. buut i should be able to do a copy well.

4th Division Squad member (Bleach): this place needs healers.. and these guys are good at that.

Zangetsu (non quincy): ive been wanting to do the whole sword character thing and ichigo's so called hollow side is so intriguing.

There are others.. but if you guys have any suggestions or ideas that would be swell. Im also tempted to try the Space Core from Portal just for shits and giggles.
