Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Mickey Mouse - 07-12-2015 So, I've sort of decided to build Mickey as an assist-focused character. Like, he'll still have a Super Move or two, and some spells of his own to fight with, but instead of Power-Ups or Alternate Forms, he's going to be building a miniature army of Disney characters to summon at will in big battles. That said, I'm going to start that off by having him find an assist for each verse, and I'm trying to pick those Disney characters and flesh them out a bit, because I want each of them to have a purpose. I don't want all of them to be offensive, for example, like Simba (the one I've already gotten) is. Some of them I would love to be support characters, or do other nifty things, but I'm trying to figure out what I could use them for, which is part of the reason I'm creating this thread. So I'm going to list off some of my ideas and if anyone wants to suggest/discuss anything, like suggesting characters I could pull or what certain characters could do, I would love that. To start off with, I've got Simba, who is an offense-based Assist from Camelot. Coruscant Stitch - idk what he would be used for? Offensive stuff, maybe? Tangled Green Mushu - because of the Asian-inspired villages of ninjas and what not? He seems like he could work pretty well as a support character, maybe like calling up the power of the Ancestors or something. Maybe a Tarzan character instead? Greg suggested Pocahontas? Endless Dunes Genie - I've pretty much decided on this. One day when I'm traveling in the Dunes I'm going to have Mickster discover the Genie's lamp. He's a support character. Vasty Deep Dumbo - Mickey's way of having flight, perhaps (though I'm also looking at the Magic Carpet from Aladdin for this, thanks Proto) but what could he do as an actual assist? Looking for other character options for here The Pale Moors I have no clue what goes here. Jack Skellington? Idk. Ashen Steppes Another place Mushu could work, but I really like the idea of him being from the ninja villages? Ideas? Frozen Fields Elsa? Olaf the Snowman? Something not from Frozen would be preferable, though? >.< Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Miranda Frost - 07-12-2015 hmmmmmm Are ya pulling from Sora's summons? If not I would totally have a look at his giant summon list. may help ya fill in those holes Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Mickey Mouse - 07-12-2015 I've checked it out which is where I got Stitch, Dumbo, Genie, Simba, and Mushu. I'll keep looking, though. Maybe a Little Mermaid character would be better for Vasty Deep... Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Miranda Frost - 07-12-2015 mushu would do great in the ninja stuff. as for the ashen.. no clue x3 Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Mickey Mouse - 07-12-2015 Hyphen Wrote:Have each Assist have a move that is an AOE support effect. Like that, if you summon assists en masse, they can buff each other en masse, and become a hell of a big deal in conglomerate. At the moment I can only summon one at a time, unfortunately. Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Kenpachi Zaraki - 07-12-2015 First, I wanna say that I love this idea. It seems like it will yield some really excellent writing material. I think you've got a solid start. Coruscant: Stitch is perfect for Coruscant (unless you wanted to do a Star Wars one since Disney acquired them) and I imagine him as an offensive option since he's noted for his enormous strength; maybe he'd be sort've a bruiser/pure damage build? I imagine him throwing cars. =P Green: I'd probably go with Tarzan, personally. Maybe an assist based on tech and speed as he is known for being nimble? Or perhaps Tinkerbell? That could be a stretch, but I figured since Neverland is on a forested island I'd mention it. Could also be in the Deep? Dunes: 100% agree with Genie. 'Nuff said. Deep: As mentioned above you could add in Tinkerbell maybe. I'd kinda like to see King Triton, though. He'd be pretty cool for offensive/support, maybe summoning a giant squid to immobilize foes or casting huge waves to stagger them. Also, maybe Jack Sparrow? Moores: Jack Skellington would be a badass option for this area. Maybe some necromagic, summoning chains Spawn-style or a bone-wall for defense? Steppes: I'd have Mushu in the Ashen Steppes since the Ninja village is only a small part of the Tangled and being a dragon he seems to fit better in a more fire-based area (at least to me). Frozen Fields: This one is probably the toughest. If you're avoiding Frozen, I can only think of Frozone from The Incredibles. Edit: As for a flight form, I think the Magic Carpet is the perfect choice, unless you wanted to use a Fantasia-styled magic broom or something. Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Yu Kanda - 07-12-2015 For Coruscant i was thinking maybe Baymax ? also he would be a great medical support. Green : Gotta love some Jungle book, Bagheera perhaps ? stealth and scout. OR Timon, he would make a great scout with some jokes on the side. Frozen fields : you gotta get someone who can take on the cold. What about Eva ? ( from Wall-e ) And i dont know what verse he would fit best but how about Bolt ? can bolt get some love ?
Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Miranda Frost - 07-12-2015 maybe just maybe.. but as marvel owns star wars... summon the Rebels version of darth vader for your assist on mustafar mug:
Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Mickey Mouse - 07-12-2015 I'm gonna stray away from Star Wars and stick with Disney films that have shown up in House of Mouse or Kingdom Hearts. Thanks to y'all for the suggestions so far, they're really helping! I'm also nervous about stretching into Pixar territory because that might make the world of Mickey a little too big. Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Thaal Sinestro - 07-12-2015 Don't forget the like, ENTIRE CAST of the Pirates films for the Moores. Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Mickey Mouse - 07-14-2015 I decided on Bambi for the Tangled Green. I think this is what I'm going to go with: Coruscant -- Stitch (Tier 2 Offensive Assist) Camelot -- Simba (Tier 1 Offensive Assist) Endless Dunes -- Genie (Tier 2 Utility Assist) Tangled Green -- Bambi (Tier 1 Defensive Assist) Vasty Deep -- still unsure, though I'm leaning toward Tinkerbell (Tier 2 Defensive Assist) Pale Moors -- Jack Skellington (Tier 3 Offensive Assist) Ashen Steppes -- Mushu (Tier 1 Defensive Assist) Frozen Fields -- Elsa or Olaf (Tier 3 Assist) Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Mickey Mouse - 07-14-2015 This is how I'm structuring it for reasons. I also added Wall-E as a Dataverse-based assist, to even it out at 9. Tinkerbell and Genie could switch, depending on whether I visit the Deep or the Dunes first. Tier 1 Offensive: Simba Defensive: Bambi Utility: Tinkerbell Tier 2 Offensive: Stitch Defensive: Mushu Utility: Genie Tier 3 Offensive: Jack Skellington Defensive: Elsa Utility: Wall-E Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - The Dreamer - 07-21-2015 For the frozen fields, you could do the abominable snowman from monsters inc. Think of all the snowcone based attacks! Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Guilmon - 07-21-2015 I support Timon as Support! Also: You know you're gonna have to fight Bosses in each verse now, right? Coruscant -- Captain Gantu Camelot -- Scar or Madam Mim Endless Dunes -- Jafar (B/c he wants the lamp) Tangled Green -- Clayton Vasty Deep -- Captain Hook Pale Moors -- The Horned King or Chernabog Ashen Steppes -- Maleficent or Hades Frozen Fields -- ??? Dataverse -- ??? I'm at a loss for the last two... q_q Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - The Dreamer - 07-21-2015 Frozen Fields -- That jerk from Frozen who didnt really love her or something. (Didnt actually watch it) Dataverse -- the ship[ computer from Wall-E who wouldnt let the fat guy drive. Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Guilmon - 07-21-2015 Yes! Hans and Auto would work! Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Black Mage - 07-23-2015 I'm not nearly as well entrenched in site lore as the others who've posted in this thread, but not having Tron as an assist in the Dataverse sounds like a must. Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Guilmon - 07-23-2015 But is Tron Disney? Re: Mickey Mouse and the Army of Assists - Proto Man - 07-23-2015 Always has been. |
