  Iggy Koopa coming through!
Posted by: Iggy Koopa - 08-19-2015, 05:00 AM - Forum: Joining - Replies (3)

Character name: Iggy Koopa

Character source: Mario (debuted in Super Mario 3)

Character history: Being born fourth of the Koopalings, Iggy is, in terms of the initial seven, a middle child. He had hatched in the same egg with and as the twin brother of Lemmy Koopa (who, coincidentally, hatched at the same time as Roy), which in turn makes the two nearly inseperable.

From an early age, Iggy had always had an efficiency for tinkering with machinery, which has gone towards his tendency to create odd contraptions or even enormous weaponry for the use of his Bowser’s army, whom Iggy and the other Koopalings have called father, or more commonly “King Dad.” Also commonly, he’s known to be assigned heavily forested or jungle areas by Bowser, which has led to a slight habit of blending in with his environment.

Aside from Lemmy, Iggy has gotten along best with Ludwig, the two bonding somewhat based upon their intellect, but it should also be noted that Iggy’s tendency to prank has left the eldest brother a bit skeptical at times. Just as well, Iggy is often seen showing his newest gadgets to the tiniest Koopaling, happily doing his best to please his tiny twin.

It’s currently unknown if Iggy is involved with building airships, tanks or fortresses, but he definitely was involved with making traps and similar.

Some time after his last battle with the Mario Bros and their little Toad friends, Iggy was in his workshop, tinkering with power-ups and other things as he tried to devise a new trap or weapon for the Marios to deal with. Trying to devise something powerful enough to torch the bros on the spot, he decided to load a Starman and a Fire Flower into a Bill Blaster at the same time- Rather than spit a supercharged blast of Fire coated Bullet Bills, however, the blaster's first shot spontaneously exploded, the star infused fire engulfing him as he vanished, the Bill Blaster now power-up-less and alone in his work-shop.

Despite the deadly mix, it's very possible he didn't die from that vibrant blast...

Physical Description: Iggy is easily the tallest of the siblings with the height that equals to Luigi and looks to be somewhat similiar to Larry. His muzzle appearence indicates to be similar to Larry's with his shaped cheeks, a high nose and a low jaw with his four teeth sticking out much like Morton.

Much like the others, he has green and yellow scales with a tan muzzle and along the way of his shell (despite of hiding it at the ribcage), he has a green variation with purple bands surrounding the white spikes. Out of his siblings, he wears glasses which shows that he has black eyes surounded with blue irises that rests above his muzzle.

In the terms as the only accessory besides his glasses, he has spiked cuffs indicating his position as royalty.

The middle child of the Koopas orginially had a rainbowcolored mohawk that was eventually replaced with a tall green stalk that splits out of the top very much like a palmtree and in terms of his voice, he has a giggly maniacal tone that can come off as excitable.

With the terms of weight, very much like Ludwig, he is medium class as hinted in Mario Kart 8.

Personality: As could be guessed, the glasses wearing Koopaling is something of a psycho, often taking the form of rampant, maniacal laughter when he’s particularly agitated or excited. Despite this, he’s oddly more a lover at heart, preferring to create machinery or care for his big twin Lemmy or animals instead of outright picking fights with random passerby. However, if he feels his home is being threatened, or any harm comes to his brother or a critter in his care, he CAN and WILL become angry and attack.

Iggy’s psychotic behavior and his intellect has also given way to a tendancy to pull (what he believes to be) harmless pranks, ranging anywhere from a bob-omb in your area to leading you to a Chain Chomp’s post. It’s suggested to watch him if his giggling starts up while he’s otherwise calm.

Stats:
ATK: 2
DEF: 3
SPD: 3
TEC: 2

Starting Proficiencies: Ranged Proficiency (1000), Area Attack Proficiency (600), Physical Attack Proficiency (1000)

Starting Powers: Basic Super Jumping (300), Master Acrobat (400)

Starting Moves: Straight Spell (600) (requires ranged proficiency): A simple, forward moving blast from Iggy’s wand. Up to three bolts can be made at once, but others must hit a target and dissipate before another can be fired.

Shell Retreat (300): Due to the elongated nature of his body, Iggy can retreat inside of his shell, but not spin around and move. Because of this, he can retreat into his shell as a defensive measure only, blocking most ranged or physical attacks and countering direct attacks (like a punch or jump) with his spiky shell. If you’re clever, he can be flipped over like this, revealing his soft underbelly. He can't sit in his shell forever, though- too long and his limbs pop back out, the Koopa too exhausted to keep going. (if you're strong enough, it can be pierced if you don't hurt yourself from the spikes.)

Boom Box (600) (requires Area Attack /Ranged /Physical Attack Proficiency): Uh oh, he’s got a bob-omb! Several, actually! Iggy pulls a bob-omb from a box he has on his person, pulling one of three types: either a small, light, blue bob-omb which creates a small burst weaker than his wand (no splash damage), a black bob-omb which can create a small shock-wave if it doesn’t directly impact a target (a foot of splash damage), and a big, fat, purple bob-omb the guy can barely carry, rolling it along the ground to attack with: after ten seconds of being outside the box, it will explode, doing splash damage to anything within two-four feet of the blast. Up to six blues, three blacks, and one purple can be used at a time. The box will refill after a battle, with a six minute wait for any bomb that was tossed (if he used them all, the last one he threw will be back by hour’s end). Unlike the tiny and medium bombs which explode on impact, the big bomb can be hit back at him- also, he may lack the strength to hold it, leaving him open to getting distracted by an opponent’s attack just long enough for the bomb to explode. As such, he saves the purple bomb for emergencies, or for when someone strong enough can help him use it.

PRAISE THE SUUUUUUUUUNNNN (Grey's Alt: Solaire)
Posted by: Solaire - 08-19-2015, 02:24 AM - Forum: Joining - Replies (13)

Character name: Solaire of Astora

Character source: Dark Souls

Character history: Born n' raised to fight n' praise! The first born son of Gwyn (we "questionable canonicity" now) traveled the lands of Lordran for an unspecified time, abandoning his godhood and becoming Undead to search for his own Sun. He met many admirable adventurers, and engaged in jolly cooperation with all of them, making many good friends along the way. One particularly brave adventurer even saved Knight Solaire's life, and this same soul called upon the sunlight warrior's aid to thwart the hollowed out remains of Gwyn, the Lord of Cinder. Curiously, though, as he faded back into the spaces between worlds, he emerged not in his own version of Lordran, but a land utterly foreign to him. The Omniverse.

Physical Description: Grossly incandescent

Stats:
ATK: 3
DEF: 3
SPD: 2
TEC: 2

Starting Proficiencies: Physical Strength, Ranged (2000)

Starting Powers: Burst Movement, Master Acrobat (1200)

Starting Moves:

Lightning Spear - This move used to be a bunch of overpowered bullcrap back before FROMni made a patch that nerfed it. Still, it's Solaire's preferred ranged option and a damn good miracle in its own right. He creates a lightning spear in his hand with sheer willpower, then chucks it. It can travel for quite some distance, though its accuracy is severely reduced after around 500ft, and its somewhat long casting time (around 3sec before it can be thrown) makes it somewhat easy to predict. (300)

Sunlight Straight Sword - Solaire's sword of choice. this is essentially an ordinary longsword (blade length around 36 inches), albeit one of masterwork quality. Solaire mostly likes to use it, in conjunction with his shield, to do battle with his enemies. (300)

Sunlight Shield - Bearing the insignia of the sun, Solaire's trusty shield is capable of blocking attacks with impunity--provided he can actually put the shield between himself and an opponent, the attack's severity is drastically reduced. While sturdy it isn't impregnable, and enough attacks or a powerful enough attack can force the shield aside, and thus if Solaire tries to block an attack stronger than what the shield can take or defends for too long, his shield can be forced wide open, leaving him vulnerable. (300)

Super Moves:

Great Lightning Spear - A substantially more powerful version of Lightning Spear that's also much harder to dodge due to its quicker casting time. Sends the full fury of the Sunlight Warrior's soul coursing through the target (in the form of high-voltage electricity) if it connects. (600)

  Let's Kill Dracula (Interest Check)
Posted by: Dr. McNinja - 08-18-2015, 04:05 PM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - Replies (8)

Hey y'all. I'm thinking of doing a plotline where a team of Primes go to try and take down Dracula in the Moors. We could have Primes wanting to take him down and Primes that want to protect him for whatever reasons. I don't know whether or not we'd be allowed to kill him, (I imagine not) but I was hoping we could at least make a move towards him.

So, I was just think about Banishment, and what it means for the development of a character, and I was wonder what the general public thinks about it.

What do you think of it? Is it purely a punishment? A plot device? A damnation of one's character?

Also, I know there are a number of people out there who wish to be banished for the story element. If you would, I would love to here from those of you who do plan for this, and why. What does it bring, or what could it bring to the development of your character?

Then and now, a tale of two hunters.
Posted by: Dean Winchester - 08-17-2015, 10:35 AM - Forum: The Endless Dunes - Replies (19)

It had probably only been a few hours driving but Dean was pretty sure he had no idea where the hell he was. The one bad thing about being in a desert was the lack of street signs and marker points, the lack of a proper road probably wasn't helping him much either. Dean silently wondered who he would have to talk to about fixing this. The toll it was taking on his car was getting more and more apparent with every mile he drove. The once shiny coat was dull and covered in sand, and there were scratches everywhere. The sun beating down on it like an unforgiving ass wasn't improving things either. He was going to have to find a garage at some point, if not build one himself. The random idea of building his own garage made Dean smile the first genuine smile he had since arriving here.

He was going to cut out his own piece of this land, he was going to make it his. There would be beer, burgers, and a hell of a lot more beer! Then all you do is add in a garage for him to tinker with his car and all was set. Heaven on the Earth, or the dunes. Though the thought of him finding his own heaven made him laugh. A demon in paradise, huh? Sure, that was totally going to happen.

First things first though, Dean had to take care of this damn Reaper. She had gotten the upper hand on him and he had barely survived that little encounter. It took summoning up all his demonic being and manifesting itself in some strange new power to get his ass out of that particular frying pan. That had stunned him more then the fact that there was a Reaper here. Everything he knew about Demons from his hunting days told him they really should not be able to do what he did. Apparently all the old rules where out the window, he would have to learn it all again as he went.

Dean shook his head in a vain attempt to clear all the random crap out of it, he had a mission. He needed to hunt this bitch down and kill her. All he knew was that she had left town, so he had as well.

How is that working out for you, Squirrel? The thought had entered his head uninvited and Dean could have sworn it was Crowley's voice he had heard. Here you are around, driving around aimlessly? And for what, petty Revenge? Then you end up getting lost on top of it! I thought you would have been better then that now! Once a Winchester, always a Winchester I guess. No helping some folks.

God, even imaginary Crowley was an ass.

Dean was about to admit that maybe the voice in his head was right, which normally would have sounded strange even for him, but then he caught sight of something that brightened his spirits a bit. There was smoke rising off in the distance, not much though so it might be a cooking fire. If this was the case then that meant people. It was the best chance he had of picking the reapers trail he had at the moment, the only alternative being to continue driving aimlessly. Though looking at his fuel gauge he wasn't sure how well that would work. There didn't seem to be a Seven Eleven anywhere in sight for him to gas up at. That settled matters for him and he headed off in the direction of the smoke.

After a few minutes of driving Dean got close enough to see that there was indeed a small cooking fire nestled under an out crop of rocks, something like you would see in the Lion King. There were two people huddled near it and one further away in a look out position as far as he could tell. The lookout was armed with a rifle but he couldn't make out what the other two by the fire had, odds are they had weapons as well. With one hand visibly on the top of the steering wheel and the other hanging out the opened driver side window he slowed down and headed towards the look out. The last thing he needed was to spook them and have his car soak up a bunch of bullets.

As he pulled up he noticed that the lookout was not only female but a brunette as well. Dean thought that maybe for once things were looking up for him until her voice cut his train of thought short.

”Keep moving.” was all she said to Dean, barely even glancing at him. He hadn't even gotten the chance to flirt first before being rejected. Well, so much for that. The direct route it was.

'That's the plan, as soon as you answer a few simple questions.” Dean looked her straight in the eye, as serious as he could be. “I'm looking for someone, she's dangerous and wouldn't bat an eye at ending you and your friends here. All you have to do is...” Sadly he did not get to finish his sentence before the barrel of the look outs rifle was pointed in his face.

”Look Sweetheart, I don't care. We see tons of people come through here. Some of them leave, some don't. You're cute so I will let you go, don't make me change my mind!” Did she just call him Sweetheart? Really?! Cute comment aside Dean just glared at her before putting the Impala into reverse and backing up and then turning it around to head back the way he had just came. As he did so he could have sworn he heard her speak again. Something along the lines of 'That's what I thought', or some bullshit like that.

Dean drove off in a hurry, but not for the reasons that the woman had thought. As soon as he judged he was far enough away to pick up enough speed he spun the Impala around quickly, kicking up a huge cloud of sand as he did, and then sped right at the lookout. Dean was guessing he had caught her off guard as she barely had time to raise her rifle before he heard the sound of her impacting against the front of his car, smashing into the windshield and then rolling over the roof. That sound was music to his ears. Slamming on the brakes he cut the ignition and then got out of the car, eyes all black and first blade in hand.

He marched over to the broken body that lay beside his car and leaned down next to her. her blood shot eyes looking up at him as she struggled to breath, though it looked like she was trying to say something. Dean spoke instead.

“Sorry Sweetheart, that was not the answer I was looking for.” Dean jammed the first blade right into her throat and laughed as his victims eyes went wide, then for extra effect his twisted the blade as laughed louder and the blood sprayed everywhere. He pulled the knife out and watched as the blood bubbled from her throat as she made gurgled sounds while trying to speak. He was about to say something highly inappropriate but the sound of gun fire and the headlight nearest to him exploding cut that short.

Standing up he saw the other two that had been beside the fire, one armed with another rifle and the other with a rather large knife. The two of them seemed taken aback by the site of Dean. It was either all the blood, the donkey jaw bone knife, or possible his black eyes. Seeing the one with the knife make the sign of the cross Dean was guessing it was potentially all three.

“Two against one? This hardly seems fair for you.” Dean had started to move around the car as he spoke but stopped as he caught something out of the corner of his eye. There was something moving around the rocks. Slowly that one thing turned into two, then three, and then more and more. People where coming out of the shadows, all of them armed with something. Very few had fire arms though as most seemed to have either blades or blunt instruments, though by very few it seemed like there were only two with actual guns. The rifle in the hands of the dude by the fire and a rather old looking pistol.
In the end Dean counted about seven in total including the ones by the fire.

Dean dove behind the Impala as both of the folks with guns fired, some shot hit the side of his car, the other his arm. If he hadn't moved when he had that one would have hit him in the chest.

”Well shit.”

  Passing Through (Interlude)
Posted by: Lemmy Koopa - 08-16-2015, 10:53 PM - Forum: The Tangled Green - No Replies

Ah yes, this place again..

Re-entering the lush, jungly forest made Ludwig remembered his first time through with his acquaintance, the Ice Toa Kopaka, who had assisted him get through Camelot to only to ward off the offending Camelot warrior but also fight off a small group of secondaries wanting to steal their Omnilium.

Even while walking, the blunette sighed at the memory of it crossing his own mind. Truth to be told, it was that long ago since it happened and that is why the four Ninjakoopas clad in red, black, green and yellow were by his side: to also assist with finding his siblings and well, gather intel on the situation of the area they're at to ensure safety.

The fact was in this that what a pain it would had been if they were defeated before he reached Ashen Steppes to get through to Koopa Kingdom with the surviving members of the Koopa Troop to be able to catch up with his Father, who in turn, sent him out to locate the rest of the siblings who could be wandering around this labyrinth of worlds.

Luckily, Kamek took his time to explain to the Koopa of further details before the blunette exited out of the Castle to set foot on exploring, however, this was only the beginning..

Soon to stop, the blunette warned,"Be on guard while you are searching. The forces of Camelot will try to come through and attack those who are related to the Koopa Kingdom and there are others who will try to bring harm. If you see any of my siblings, one of you will need to look for me. In the meanwhile, I will be in Camelot for the time being," he explained to the four brothers. "Do you understand?"

The four nodded upon Ludwig's request and Red said,"Alright! You can count on us, Lord Luddy. Koopa Bros, we're out!"

It wasn't long before the four Ninjakoopas quickly disappeared into the shrubbery of the forest, leaving the blunette alone for the time being as he sighed,"Sometimes I wonder how Father could handle them. A bit out there for my tastes but the good thing in this would be their loyalty,"

Afterwards, he hurried onwards to his next destination: Camelot.
