Castle Sweet Castle
Posted by: Lemmy Koopa - 08-26-2015, 05:24 PM - Forum: The Ashen Steppes - Replies (11)

The trek through the Tangled Green was long and challenging in the night with the fact that not only it was night but even with Green leading the way, he was getting exhausted from travel as his stamina was drastically taken down due to the run-in with that pain in the shell from the past, Jr. Troopa, during their first walkthrough in the thick, jungly forest.

Once the duo reached the harsh atmosphere and environment of the Steppes, they were close. The scorched ground, the darkened skies, the bubbling lava pits, the lava flows from cliffs afar, it was a relief to see this landscape again..well maybe for some people..and in a sense, it would hopefully keep Iggy preoccupied with getting too concerned about Ludwig departing the group due to personal reasons, but instead of telling it directly, Green played around with his words on purpose.

Upon reaching a turn, Green said,"The castle is located in the subterranean levels, however, if we are to get lost, the other members of the Troop will aid us out. They've been all over this place as of recently due to several incidents that has been threatening King Bowser and well, for looking out for the rest of the siblings,"

Mostly castle intrusions from outside forces..

"Though, soon enough, you'll be resting in your own room," he continued with a smile. "..well while I get patched up at the Medical Ward and recover for awhile. Nothing new much for someone like me after all, but hey, King Bowser will be more than happy to see you around, so when you can check up with him or perhaps Kamek. Who knows,"

He nervously chuckled afterwards. After all, the thing he could do for now is to keep the situation as upbeat. Of course, there was that small chance that Iggy could be wondering..

Remembering Ludwig's words, Green felt kinda bad for Iggy, after all, the two brothers were recently reunited but Ludwig, it's almost like a part of him doesn't want to leave Iggy but he had to set things straight before he could return. Granted that Ludwig is the reasonable one, he was also very vengeful, especially to the fact that he acted this way around the youngest, being Bowser Jr., the most.

Now those two were a nightmare to break up sometimes..

As they traverse deeper in the Steppes to the cavern where the main castle is, Green warned,"Watch your step. The least thing you want is a slip-up somewhere that would result in..well, you already know. Once we're inside, the main castle is dead ahead and you should be able to see it,"

Afterwhile, Green was reminded and he asked,"Oh and before I forget, how's your head doing so far?"

 Animus River
Posted by: Thaal Sinestro - 08-26-2015, 04:23 PM - Forum: The Whateververse, Man - Replies (2)

Quote:The Animus River - The Animus river and its tributaries run throughout the entire Tangled Green, forming the sole water basin for the giant forest verse. It is from the Animus that all life in the Tangled Green sprung, and more often than not, much life returns to the river due to its violent currents and the host of ferocious wildlife that call its depths home. The headwaters of the Animus are unknown, although most travelers believe they are somewhere beyond the current boundary of the verse. The river itself snakes through almost every part of the Green, with the night elves, ninjas, orcs, and every other settlement usually located somewhere close to the river or one of her tributaries. At its widest, the banks of the river are miles apart, and even at its shallowest, the river presents a challenge to travelers. During rainier seasons, the river swells uncontrollably, and while this can lead to destruction and death, the receding banks leave behind nutrient-rich soil, allowing for life to renew itself.

Hey I just noticed this. That river runs through my hometown of Durango, and is the river that just recently got FUCKED UP by that mine leak the EPa was trying to fix (I know they fucked up and it caused it to explode, but that shit ain't the EPA's fault, it's the lack of regulation of mining waste).

Anyways, I grew up being told that "Rio del Animas," means, "River Of Lost Souls" or "River of Souls." I don't have the heart to know if that's a lie or not, because it's so freaking awesome.

Email from Christa, to Martha Tennant

Dear Martha,

I regret to inform you that I have found your husband, and that he is no longer with this world. Curse Omni. Curse them all, for the state I found Mr. Tennant in, is not something I would wish on my enemies. I have given him a respectful burial. As I would have wanted for my own lost sister.

You have my condolences, I know you have lost much, and it is so hard to lose everything you've ever had, but we will endure, as we have once lost everything we have before, in our move to this land.

Enclosed is a digital picture file I have taken of what your husband had on him when I found him in his... State. There were other items as well, and should we meet once again, I will return them to you.

 Escaping Death's clutches once more

Draenor, the Red World
8 years after the first war between orcs and humans.

"Move! Move you pathetic excuses for orcs! They're trying to close the portal!" Raal ordered to the pathetic wastes of flesh around him. The warriors around him rushed forward, charging at the surprisingly strong human defenses. Raal's horse pawed at the ground nervously, mirroring Raal's own anxiousness, and another tremor threatened to knock him from his horse, as Draenor continued to crumble underneath his feet.

Curse Ner'zhul! Raal had known that the traitorous shaman was a fool from the beginning, but to think he'd not only fail so utterly, but also begin the countdown to his own race's extinction... No! Raal focused on the foe in front of him. Ner'zhul was unquestioningly a bastard of the highest order, but the immediate threat was the human army blocking access to the portal in front of him - the gateway to Azeroth. The orcs had attempted to retreat through the dark portal, to the only other world they had known, but this collection of human soldiers had stood in their way - and, despite facing overwhelming numbers, had refused to yield the position.

His father would have considered them opponents to respect and honor, for this, Raal knew. He, on the other hand, merely viewed this for what it truly was - an obstacle and one deserving of Raal's greatest hatred.

Striding into battle atop his horse, a swathe of flame enveloped the human forces to Raal's right, as the unmistakeable cry of a black dragon rang through the valley. The human force was well entrenched, but at this Rate it would only be a matter of minutes before the orcs pushed past the human defenses, and Raal planned to be one of the first through the portal when they did so. He was finally close enough to see it in detail, the ornate frame around a hazy blur of red energy...

Then Raal noticed the archmage, the skull he was holding, and the phenomenal amount of magical energy flowing forth from it. 'No!" He screamed, rushing forward heedless of the danger. The alliance soldiers missed only by luck, as his mount pushed past the defending line.
It was too little, too late. Before Raal's eyes, the portal's energy faded, a terrible explosion echoing through the canyon as the energy faded, then exploded. Raal shielded his eyes from the brightness of the blast with his arm, lowering it a second later as the light faded.
There was no trace of the portal, save for a few scattered bits of stone, and a haggard looking mage.
"You... You've doomed us all!" Raal roared, concentrating his energies into a coil of pure death, before firing it at the tired mage of Dalaran. However mighty he might have been, every mage had their limit, and this one had clearly reached his own.
The strike was stopped before it reached it's destination, however, by a man literally glowing with pure light. A paladin. the blast struck the mighty warrior, but simply faded away, overpowered by the overflowing light around the warrior.
Raal's hands would have been bone-white if they were not... well, bone, as he clenched his truncheon with rage.
"This fight has lost all meaning, with the portal now lost to us. We are all doomed already. But before I die, I'll drain the life out of you, and make your corpse into a puppet to dance at my leisure, you pathetic human." Raal retorted, a blast of pure obsidian energy leaping from his hands, moving like a snake across the ground before leaping towards the paladin's throat.
the Paladin held his ground, however, and his sword struck out faster than Raal could see, the glowing blade cutting the darkness in two as it dissipated into the air. . Raal already had his next spell prepared, however, as he prepared to create a whirlwind made from the energies of the twisting nether. He raised his Truncheon..

Raal felt a sudden loss of all feeling in his arm, as the wind whistled past his head - the unmistakable sound of an elven arrow cutting through the air. "Khadgar!" Raal heard the voice of a female yell from behind him, and realized this was the work of one of the infuriating elven rangers. Looking to his right, Raal realized she'd gotten a clean shot, as his severed arm lay on the ground beneath him, still tightly grasping the truncheon.

The mage reacted as the woman yelled, and Raal realized he was not as exhausted as he thought, as violet-tinged electricity crackled from his hand. Raal held out a hand to create a shield of pure darkness in front of him to block the strike, but the lightning did not move as he thought, the energy twisting, reshaping itself as a ring of arcane energy, before tightening, the lightning cutting through his body with a keenness no sword could match as the circle grew smaller and smaller.

Raal fell in two pieces, aware that, this time in truth, he was going to die. A nameless death knight on a desolate battlefield.
"Please... anything! I'll sacrifice anything! I can't die like this! I... Don't want to die..."

-----
Location: ????

----
Almost in response to Raal's wishes, he found himself suddenly alive again. Well, to be more accurate, he found himself in the form he'd stolen for some years, the corpse of some human knight of Azeroth. He found himself standing in a void - black as midnight, save for the silhouette staring directly at him, grinning.

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully."
Raal attempted to open his mouth to reply, but found he could not speak, could not even move. his mind was buzzing with questions, but at the being's last statement, Raal focused on Omni's words. the figure held out an orb, and Raal suddenly found he could move as he warily accepted the being's gift, his magical senses telling him of the power it radiated.

Quote:"This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.

“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.
”
At this, Raal's vision again faded - or was it the darkness itself - as he found himself once again staring at an entirely different landscape. Raal heard the sound of flowing water behind him, as he struggled to stay on his feet.
For the first time in many years, Raal felt the desire to have a drink.

So, I do voice acting I guess
Posted by: Roger Smith - 08-26-2015, 10:49 AM - Forum: The Creative Corner - No Replies

This is something that I mentioned last night as I was recording some lines for a thing I'd been putting off due to a combination of poor weather and general shittiness on my part, and people seemed interested or something, so I said I'd get a few links together of things I'd lent my voice to if people were interested.

It seems they were, so here we go, strap in for a not so wild ride.

(As a note, I am still very very amateur in this, and probably not all that good, so don't expect to be amazed or anything. It IS something I would, ideally, like to do professionally one day, but that requires actual talent, I believe. And probably knowing how to go about it. It is what it is. :froggonk: )

First up, we have a trailer for a project that I was very much looking forward to. Unfortunately, the particular part I did lines for ended up getting cut due to...difficulties between the dude running the project and other VAs at the time, if memory serves, which is quite disappointing. But it is what it is. I provided voice (with quite a bit of modification and filters because aliens) to a couple aliens whose names I can't remember.
The United Heroes Part 1 Remastered Trailer

Up next we have...something different. A horror movie made using the sims, involving Leatherface and apple farms, I guess. I'm still not entirely sure whether this was supposed to be straight-up horror or horror comedy, but let's just say whatever it was, it was, and move on. I still had fun recording for it, and it's not a BAD movie, by any means, but it's just....A Thing. In this one, I played Uncle Earl.
The Fresh Apple Massacre/

And now we move on to Phoenix Wright things. :frog:

First up was my adventure into the lands of Dual Destinies, wherein I got to play Ted Tonate in the first case of the game. It was a lot of fun, and I still find it highly amusing that I got cast for my choice of how to portray Ted's text-to-speech arm computer thing's voice. Couple of episodes here, so strap in. I was still relatively new to things around this point, so my manic shouting and exploding in random madness as Tonate at the end is a little...underwhelming, and not the best it could be. But learning experiences and all that.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 5 -- I also provided a line or two fro the Bailiff here
Part 7 -- Case 1 Finale

Up next we have Operation: Turnabout, a fan case for Phoenix Wright still in production of its final episode as of writing this. It has been both thoroughly entertaining to both watch and provide voice for so far, and I look forward to the conclusion myself, even moreso because I know what happens. :froggonk: That aside, I provide the voice for Captain Adel Renard in this one. Still coming into my stride in the early episodes, but I'd like to think I get better as they go on. A few episodes here, too, so here we go:
Episode 1
Episode 3
Episode 5

And finally, there were a number of other bit parts and small things I did here and there, a couple lines in various things, but I can't recall all of them offhand...none of them were really very good to begin with, so it's not like anything is being missed.

Anyway, that's that, enjoy your day, folks.

So My Character Owns A Truck
Posted by: Thaal Sinestro - 08-26-2015, 09:25 AM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (10)

So if I wanted a character to use their vehicle in combat, like, to run people over and to mount machine guns and shit on, I would assume you'd need the appropriate moves and etc. I mean, this goes for pretty much ALL big mounts I would assume, so I figure this might answer a few questions for people.

Ok, so, I would assume that I would treat the Truck as an Assist, because the character and the vehicle are separate entities and all. I guess the argument could be made that while she is outside the truck it isn't really doing anything, and inside of the truck she can't really be "individually targeted" so I can see it being a Power Up.

In either case, she would need to purchase the moves that the truck has, so:
Growth (because it's a truck)
Super Speed (because it's a truck)
Survival (because trucks are pretty resilient)
"Hit Them With Your Grill" move, where you run them the hell over
Plus any weapons mounted to it

Dubious ones:
Shapeshifting (If we're making it a Power Up, because the character is NOT a truck)?

 Raal Deathwind
Posted by: Sarah Kerrigan - 08-26-2015, 12:54 AM - Forum: Joining - Replies (10)

Character name: Raal Deathwind

Character source: Warcraft (original character)

Character history:

Raal Deathwind was born an orc of the Bleeding Hollow clan, shortly before the culling of the Draenei. He, as well as his twin brother, Zau deathwind, were infamous from a young age. While Zau was known more for his violent, uncontrolled temper, and overflowing brute strength, something their clan tried and failed to soften, Raal was known for the unnatural intelligence he'd shown at a young age - often directly or indirectly directing his brother’s strength to further his own designs. As both of their parents died on their sixth birthday (Some suspected it was due to the brothers themselves, though this was incorrect) from suddenly contracted diseases.

The two were known as thieves and troublemakers from a young age, and were watched closely. They likely would have been forced to either grow up or go into exile, were it not for the war with the Draenei that started soon afterwards.

Zau and Raal were both unnaturally aged by warlock magics. Unlike his brother, who grew to be one of the largest orcs in recorded history, Raal's physical form was frail for an orc, his physique more similar to a human, and most orcs joked that he would likely not survive long in the fray. These jests turned out to be unfounded, however, as Raal survived and thrived on the frontlines, showing an instinctive grasp of tactics in the early battles against the Draenei, tactics aided by his brother's willing ear and peerless strength.

Raal's talent for fel magic was discovered shortly after the first warlocks were discovered and trained, making him one of the few warlocks of the era that was originally a warrior, instead of a shaman. He showed talent, but was never considered by Gul'dan to be intelligent or powerful enough to merit a spot on the Shadow Council, though he was watched for possible selection.

Raal, not content with his status as a warlock, and realizing his intelligence could be of greater use, approached Blackhand himself with the offer of creating a highly-skilled group of warriors within the Horde. He snuck into the throneroom itself to make this request. Blackhand, impressed by the Warlock's skills and cunning, granted him this favor, allowing Raal to create a small, elite force within the Horde to work directly on Blackhand's (or, when he was indisposed, his second, Orgrim Doomhammer's) orders. Raal led his elite force, which consisted of orcs, trolls, and ogres, and also included his brother Zau.

Unfortunately, despite not even being a part of the Shadow Council, Raal nonetheless met his own fall as orchestrated by Gul'dan. As his group fought and clashed against the army of Azeroth and their own elite forces, and as the horde marched upon Stormwind Keep, Zau was enticed with offers from Gul'dan. The two brothers were never especially warm to each other, as could be expected from such malicious beings, and Gul'dan promised riches, power, and respect, things Raal was careful only to sparingly ration out to his brother.

During the siege of Stormwind Keep, and after working together to fight through the most deadly opponents Stormwind could gather to oppose them, Raal's group had shrunk to merely himself and his brother. Zau took the opportunity; Raal's own overconfidence allowed Zau to catch him entirely by surprise, with Raal meeting his end due to an axe buried itself deeply in his chest. Zau's blow was not fatal, however, and mustering up every bit of magic he had left, Raal channeled his remaining energy and struck Zau with enough force to rip his body in two. Thus, both Raal and his brother died at the same time, using what breath they had to curse the other before fading from existence.

Raal, however, would find himself on the mortal plane once more, resurrected as a death knight. While he was not a member of the Shadow Council, Gul'dan had deemed Raal's magic just sufficient to merit resurrection as a death knight of the Horde. He was one of many orcish warlocks resurrected using the power and life of an orcish necrolyte and the body of one of the human knights of Azeroth. While Raal missed his original body, the power he'd gained through the ghastly transformation comforted him. He quickly returned to service, fighting in several battles during the second war, but his experience with his brother caused him to work alone for the most part during the second war. He instead relied on a retainer of undead servants to reinforce him in battle.

Raal's powers were insufficient to turn the tide of the second war, and despite creating a pile of bodies taller than his head and turning the tide of several seperate battlefronts, Gul'dan's treachery cost the orcs the Battle of Blackrock Spire. Raal was among the orcs who retreated to the dark portal, and was actually one of the first to enter it as the defenses began to falter.

When later, the call to arms first came from Nerz'hul, Raal did not initially answer the call to arms. He was weary from a history of battle, and was beginning to grow convinced the humans were simply too powerful a foe to fight. Still, he was a member of the Bleeding Hollow clan, and was furthermore one of their last death knights. Raal wasn't yet suicidal enough to ignore an order from his chieftain. As a result, Raal found himself fighting, again, as the humans attacked Draenor itself. The Horde kept losing ground, and as the Alliance made their last stand to protect the dark portal while Draenor shook itself apart, Raal was among those desperate orcs trying to push through the human lines into Azeroth. Desperation crossed Raal's undead features as the portal closed. His last thoughts as Draenor shattered, and as he stared certain death, were of how futile his entire life's purpose was.

All he wished for, at that point, was some chance to make his life mean something, to be more than a cog in some force's larger machine. What he wished the most for was to attain greater heights than a decaying soldier in a losing battle over a doomed planet...

Perhaps Omni’s game will grant Raal his wish…

Physical Description:
Raal does not look very different from most death knights of the Horde, an undead creature with red eyes and a cloak obscuring much of his features:

Stats:
ATK: 4
DEF: 1
SPD: 2
TEC: 3

Starting Proficiencies:
Ranged Proficiency - 1000 OM
Area Attack Proficiency - 600 OM
Remote control Proficiency - 600 OM

Starting Powers:

Starting Moves:

Touch of Darkness - 300 OM (Ranged Proficiency Required)

Raal channels his own undead energies through his jeweled truncheon and releases them outwards in a blast of destructive dark energy. These blasts can be shot out at roughly a rate of one per second, and are a fiery sphere of black energy around the size of a baseball that drains the life force of opponents it hits, striking at their vitality directly. While not leaving a mark on the skin, the Touch of Darkness causes pain and injury in the area it strikes, just as harmful as any spear or flame.

Raise Dead - 1500 OM (Remote Control Proficiency Required)

The legacy of the orcish necrolytes, and a favorite of Raal's, this skill has changed to reflect Omni's own whims and no longer requires a corpse. Raal may use this spell to summon a weak undead warrior near him. These creatures are weak and lack any true combat skill, but are controlled remotely by Raal and can be deceptively dangerous, capable of slowing down enemies and performing an unliving shield against anyone attempting to get close to Raal. They are capable of using basic weaponry, such as swords and bows, but do so with all the grace of an untrained peasant, and about the same level of physical strength to boot.
Compared to a prime, the average undead is very weak, with a prime being more than capable of destroying any undead with a single casual strike, and due to their weakened muscles, they're incapable of doing any serious damage to primes without repeated clean blows.
any undead using a bow is limited to merely thirty feet of range due to their physicality.

The undead take roughly twenty seconds to fully summon, which takes the majority of Raal's concentration. He can direct his other undead during this time but must stay rooted in one place, palm facing the ground, and cannot move, cast spells, or make any use of his enhanced senses until he is finished. Attempting to do any of these for a split second will stop his spellcasting and cause him to lose the energy he was using to summon the undead. Being physically struck will also cause his
spellcasting to fail, regardless of if he was moved or distracted by it.

The undead are a moderate drain on Raal to summon, each one requiring a significant amount of his energy to initially summon, though none to maintain.

At maximum, Raal can summon ten undead at once. If he attempts to summon more than that, one of the undead he is currently controlling will simply shatter into dust, before it's remnants fade away.

Death Coil (Tier 1 super move) (Ranged Proficiency Required) (area attack proficiency required) 600 OM
A much stronger version of the Touch of Darkness and one of the main reasons death knights are so feared, a spiral of bright green energy encircles Raal's jeweled Truncheon, charging for three to five seconds, before being released at an enemy target. A similarly colored bolt of energy is launched and which causes severe damage to the life force of anything within 10 feet of the blast radius. The attack itself is quite fast and it is difficult to interrupt the charge-up time, but it is somewhat weaker than the average super move of its level.

(should have 100 Omnilium left)
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

Character name: Kalli Jay

Character source: Original Sci-fi universe

Character history: During the inception of her life, Kalli was caught in a dark atmosphere between two growing nations that continuously sabotaged efforts of peace and stability, for reasons that are now irrelevant. Born on the world known as Garuda, Kalli lived a life much alike that of anyone born on Earth, including advanced technologies that proceeded to inspire awe and wonder into the people whom lived on such a world. While tensions continued to grow between the nations during the 12th year of Kalli’s life, a order was placed to conscript specified children for varying ‘tasks’ within both nations. While rarely anyone handed over their children compliantly, Kalli’s removal from her family swiftly happened overnight. A program was initiated to construct soldiers and/or agents, an experiment at child soldiers, letting the military no longer needing to abide by morals.

The government would instill loyalty into their selected children, experimenting, testing, questioning, and most important training. Mere teenagers were treated as soldiers, and soon as they hit adulthood, became adequate tools for the intelligence agency. All the while the subjects such as Kalli continued to deal with issues of individuality and sociality. They were growing angry, forming questions, curious without answers. Loyalty itself soon fell apart, despite what the program attempted to enforce.

Only one month prior to Omni’s intervention, Kalli and her fellow ‘soldiers’ would attempt a rebellion, dwindling in number quickly over the last weeks. As they were forced on the run, the government proceeded to eliminate each individual without hesitation as they desperately attempted to escape. Dark tunnels were lit with both flame and light, while hideouts quickly became locations of disastrous bombings. Only 26 years old, Kalli would be left on her knees in front of her would-be executioner, she was the last survivor of the small rebellion. And at the pull of the trigger, the universe itself faded, and the Omniverse would appear.

Physical Description:

http://i.imgur.com/XSCKu1W.jpg Military Gear (Once again, sorry if it hurts the eyes!)

Standing at the height of 6’5ft, Kalli’s stature is taller than that of standard humans. Dark blue eyes and a mixture of black, brown and white feathers are a notable part of her appearance. The most important however may be her digtigrade legs, which if her difference in species did not make her stand out, her anatomy surely will.

Stats:
ATK: 3
DEF: 1
SPD: 2
TEC: 4

Starting Proficiencies: Physical Strength [1000], Ranged Profiency [1000] Area Shield Profiency [400]

Starting Powers: Master Acrobat [400], Stealth [1200]

Starting Moves: [900] *Need to be approved* (I believe moves need to be approved?)
Combat Blade [Physc. Strength]

A very generic, standard issue blade utilized by the military personnel of her origin universe. It is a thin knife, with numerous ‘teeth’ at its back, as with a slanted-like tip going left. Its made of standard metals, and while durable and light, it can only severely damage if puncturing a vital organ, that is, speaking of a normal mortal human being. If a Prime- or anyone -has exceptionally hardened armor or skin, they may find the Combat Blade to be pitiful excuse of a weapon.

Dome Shield [Shield Profic.]

The “dome” is a sci-fi device that, when activated (and deployed onto the ground) forms a blue ‘dome’ around a small, designated area, protecting three people at maximum. However, one can simply walk in and out of the shield, leaving it vulnerable to close combat. It extends 7 feet around in diameter.

Autogun [Rang. Profc.]

A simple assault rifle in design, this gun is slinged over the shoulder of its owner, a lightweight weapon for mid ranged and close ranged engagements. It fires a total of 32 bullets per clip and is a semi-automatic weapon. While the damage of said bullets is dependant on Kalli’s ATK stat, the bullets themselves never change from small, sharp metallic rounds.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

Before Stuart was even able to speak or even fully understand the situation, he had woken up in a void greeted by a strange man, who described strange, unbelievable, fantastical things that he didn't quite understand while the words were still burnt in his brain, as bright as the white expanse he was then taken to. A strange fountain stood in the middle of the space bustling with people and strange creatures, some of which he'd even seen before. His mouth agape, Stu swore that he must be dreaming, right? Still, he figured that he'd ask some random passer-by for at least some measly scrap of information about this weird, distorted reality he'd been taken too.
"Hey, can ya help a body at all?"

Nobody seemed too interested in Stu, so he started to walk away from the Fountain, stepping carefully in case he stood on something that wasn't there and fell through. As he did, a thought that made him go deathly pale clawed its way into Stu's mind and grabbed hold of his brain. Christine. If this was reality, he would never see his girlfriend, or any of his friends for that matter, again. Trying to console himself by hoping that in this insane 'reality' there'd be some way to leave, Stu sat down with his head in his hands. That is, until he heard a voice seemingly talking to him. He was unsure what the voice said exactly, or even whose voice it was, so Stu gazed up with wet red eyes.
"(sniff) S-sorry?"
