  Venturing into the Darkness
Posted by: Animbus - 10-15-2015, 03:14 PM - Forum: The Pale Moors - Replies (5)

Once Animbus walked into the Pale Moors, he felt his scales crawl and paranoia seemed to cloud his mind, as if someone was watching him, trying to mask their presence. His surroundings seemed to have a gray filter over them, everything dead and dark. As much as it made him cautious, it reminded him of home. All the cities he burned to the ground in honor of his mother and father.

The dragon blended in well with his surroundings, his slitted eyes scanning the area in search of a direction to travel. Thick fog blanketed the area in front of him, beckoning him to venture into the unknown.

The winged reptile bared his teeth as he walked on all fours, trying to walk in a straight line, but he could hardly see a thing with the white fog impairing his vision. He took a moment and opened his mouth to reveal dark energy as it glared menacing light through the mist. Trees occasionally stood in his way, the area seeming to have a bit of a forest, but overall there was nothing of interest.

Even after what seemed like hours of walking through the thick fog, Animbus seemed to be getting nowhere. Was this just like the area he had left behind in the gate? A vast emptiness of white, except with fog? A sharp crackle followed but the rustle of what sounded like bones caused the dragon to turn to his right. Was it a trick of the mind? He didn't trust himself, nor the area around him.

With nothing in sight, he continued his journey, but the sounds followed him, as if he had more than just one tail behind him. With as much speed as he could manage with his hulking body, he turned to try and catch his stalker by surprise. A low growl rumbled in his throat as a shadow in the mist rushed and disappeared behind the nearest tree.

Animbus assumed a fighting stance, his wings spread and ready to take to the air and his eyes trained on the tree. With a small roar he stomped his right foot, demanding that the being revealed itself. With no answer, Animbus decided it best to demonstrate his power.

With a growl he then opened his mouth, charging his dark energy before launching the shadow ball at the natural wooden barricade. With a splintering crush the tree crumbled under the intense heat and force of the ball, giving almost no resistance as it tumbled back, the sound echoing through the fog as it came to a rest.

With a small step back, Animbus prepared for countermeasures, but was met with a shivering figure, most likely too scared to make any moves.

With another stomp and growl, the creature understood that there was no way out. Careful steps followed, the soft clatter of bones apparent as the being made its way to the dragon.

What stood before him was no creature, but what seemed to be the work of magic and necromancy. A living skeleton on human bones, trembling and wobbling before him. It was almost comical to the young dragon, as it raised its hands in submission before they fell apart, align with the rest of him. However, the bones then began to move again, more magic as they seemed to be pulled together by some unknown force, recreating the undead sack of bones.

  Spectrum Move
Posted by: Ururu Kyuuei - 10-15-2015, 01:04 PM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (13)

I need help designing a move and unfortunately it may be to big for just the workshop.
What I have to work with: AoE, Ranged and Debuff, 5 ATK, 3 TEC
Style: Harry Potter Magic
General Theme: Darker Magic
Move Modes: Semi-Automatic, Slower stronger shots, Charged AoE
Cost: 900 minimum so far

Since I'm doing Tom Riddle (Yes that app), who is well known even as younger man for having a wide repertoire of magic, I'm hoping to be able to include a lot of fodder effects, fodder appearances, fodder wound types and generally as wide of range variance in this moves appearance as possible to simulate as if Tom being able to still cast many different spells that are close enough together that the system considers them all cheaply one move.

This move will basically be my go to for generic attacks and I was thinking of using poison of some sort to be a sit in for how HP Dark Magic works.

So yeah if you've seen the HP movies and you remember all those different spells that never really played big role or had significant effects because most were dodged/deflected/defensed against etc etc... That's what I'm going here but in a way that doing so leaves me and others some artistic license in the RP.

Thoughts? Ideas? Fodder Concepts?

It would be like the spectrum of injury beyond  a hole in someone is from burns, blisters, desiccation and rotting. But the more I can pump into this to allow for artistically different spells the better.

  What... What is this place?
Posted by: Jacob: The Dual Keyblader - 10-15-2015, 10:43 AM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (1)

I wake up to a white figure with just the biggest grin on his face. It chortles and says in a familiar voice
“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.” I try to punch but pain sears through my entire body, suddenly my arms reach out and Omni hands me a glimmering orb in which all the colors of the rainbow coalesce. "This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most. You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn. That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

My head spinning, I begin falling and black out.

I wake up, body aching, and pull my hood off my head. I begin to get up, shaking my head and focusing my vision. I prop myself up on the nearby fountain, rainbow colored water spurting up from the center spire and dancing down into the water below it. I slowly pull myself up using the wall of the fountain, arms shaking and my breath shallow. Sweat begins pouring down my pounding head, as I take my first few steps in this strange world. I unfurl my grey, feathery wings and try to move them which sends searing pain through my entire body causing me to blackout again.

When I come come to again, I sigh, rolling onto my back. I rub my face with both my hands and sit up. This time, I can feel some of my strength has returned and begin picking myself up again. I stumble to the fountain's wall and splash the lukewarm water onto my face. I unfurl my wings, slowly, and find them to be at a dull ache. This causes me to wonder "How long was I asleep?" I shake the thought away and begin to scan the surrounding environment. As I traced around the fountain with my eyes, I could see as the patchy grass gave way to utter whiteout and went on for what seemed infinity. I lift my head to what seems to be the horizon and scan around again. I can see archways dotting the circle of the horizon and decide to go to the nearest one. I begin to walk (west) towards an archway with what looks like black dots around it...

He told me I am in the Omniverse. What is it? It isn’t not the world I know. But I don’t know where I am. Everything is dark. But I feel something on my skin.

Data recieved. Source: unknown. Comparing voice identification to individual “Omni”. No match. Extending search… entry found: Aeris soundfiles. Warning: impossible match found. Aeris cannot talk to itself.

There’s another voice in my head… I think it sounds like me. But why… is that me talking?

Unknown individual, please identify yourself.

I’m… Aeris.

As am I.

Light. A lot of light flooded her vision. Was that the fabled light at the end of the tunnel? Was she dead? … why was she thinking this? Why am I even doing this? I never thought consciously… is this a new software? User, please identify yourself, she wanted to say, but it remained in her mind, never leaving her lips. And she realized that she wasn’t dead… her vision slowly cleared up and revealed a clear blue sky. She was lying on her back.
Aeris has encountered a problem. Requesting further assistance. User, can you hear me? Why did nobody reply? She wasn’t dead, so… was she alone?
She tried to move, but found that she didn’t know how. She felt her body… how weird. There were so many new feelings. The wind, the sunlight, the grass under her fingers, the solid surface against her back. She was lying on her back, it seemed like. How did these… again she attempted to move her body. Her arms, legs, fingers… but nothing she tried worked out. It was quite frustrating really.

The good thing was, she was breathing. Her chest rose and sunk without her actively thinking of it, and there was a steady thumping sound that she supposed was her heart. Her focus deepened and she could feel blood coursing through her veins. And an odd sting in her belly… the place humans rubbed when they complained about being hungry.

Odd… why was she feeling all this? These feelings could only be felt by a body. She concluded that she must have a body. But she had not had a body before meeting the Smiling Man… the one named Omni. Had she had a body afterwards?

Her vision darkened when she closed her eyes. Was she glitching out? Words passed through her mind, like memories but scrambled and in flashes. The Smiling man handing her a glowing sphere glowing in all colors of the rainbow.

Quote:"͚͎̭̭̙͆̍̆̓͟W͇͍̤̝͔̪̞͂̅̐̎͂ͥ͋ȋ̡̪̪̞ͣ̊ͤt̤̞̀ͅh͂̓̈́̄̆̐҉̜̤̯̲̬̭ŏ̤̙͞u͔̙̩̣̼̝̞ͪ̐͒ͧ̅ͧ̽͜t͎̖̬͛ͬ́̂̍̐ i͚̞ţ̠̩̗̹̖͙ͮ,̻̭̬͇̩͖ ̴̦̘̬̠͚͇̈ỷ̛̜͈͚̅̋͑ͫò̻̋͊ͭ͆̿̔u̮͎͙̣͇̭̫̅ a͛ͯ̃̒̾͆r̝̝̞̰̹͉͍͗̊̈́̆ͫê̡̞͍͋̐ͨ ̫̱̣ͫ̆̋ͅn͇̖̼͍̥͖̝̋ŏ̩̠̮̥͇̘̐̑̀t̰͚̙̤͚͍͌̽̿̆̈͛͆h͙̟̖͡ȋ̦̙͈̦̓̎͢n̤͍̳̖̙͈͙̍̿̽ͩ͋ͧg̬̪̳̪̮̋̍̑.͍͚̱̟ͥ̔ͥ̎ͥ̏ͮ"̼̟͖̼̐͠

Had she made her own body? But if she had why was she unable to use it? She opened her eyes again. That was something she had learned. Maybe she would learn about the rest of her body as well.

…

Time passed and she just laid there. It was sort of dumb, really. She had a body, the ability to move and then she didn’t know how to use it. She only had to push her hands onto the ground and push her back upwards to sit up. Come on, Aeris… you can do it. You learned to use the VanguardOS when they first plugged you into it. How much harder can it be to use a body? Even a human can do it…

The minutes ticked by, measured by the thumps of her heart. Then, when she least expected it to, it worked. A drop of water hit her face out of somewhere, and she raised her arm to brush it off. Her eyes widened as she realized she had just moved, and for a moment she remained frozen with the shock. Then she repeated the series of impulses, and her hand moved according to her wishes to brush off the raindrop from her cheek, where it had run down to from her nose, almost like a tear coming from the wrong place. So this is how muscles function. Yes, I can feel it… Her other arm moved up to before her eyes and she slowly twisted and turned it, taking a closer look. It was obeying her every whim, even her most minor impulses, her most detailed movements were followed. She was amazed… she could have looked at it for hours.

But, she had to remember that there were other matters to attend to. If she could get herself seated up and start exploring this place… this Omniverse. Only now did she realize that “Omni” was included in Omniverse. Was it a portemanteau of “Omni” and “universe”? Was that why Omni had introduced her to this place? Was he some sort of god around here?

All those were questions to answer. If only she could get herself to sit and stand up.

Through the Gate to the Dunes
Posted by: Stephan Donnel - 10-15-2015, 04:24 AM - Forum: The Endless Dunes - Replies (6)

With little to no resistance the shimmering field gave way and parted before the metal hand and Stephan almost tumbled forward, having put too much pressure behind it.

He was immediately assaulted by the blazing heat from all around and blindingly bright sun from on above. Eventually the eye adjusted to light and a scene of desolated town unfurled before the vision of the Captain. Despite some commotion and the usual traffic near the gates, sparse as it was, shuffling him to the sideways he could see that most of the buildings in the distance were worn, and definitely seen better days.

Well, seems like a good place to start anew… Who am I kidding, I have to get out of this dump and see if there is anything else here
Mused Donnel as he walked ahead past some chatting strangers, there seemed to be a lot of kids here.

What did they even forget here, not like this is a sandpit for them…

With all that heat around and blazing sun above being soaked in water suddenly seemed like a good thing, it probably gave him some time before he started suffering from overheating, with all that heavy clothes and whatnot... But judging by the amount of vapour floating upwards it didn’t seem like it would last long.
As the old man advanced away from the Gate the featureless nexus ground was rapidly covered and then completely replaced by the layer of sand. Not that far away from the portal there was a small post with a couple of tired looking soldiers in strange equipment, one of them stepped forward, raising his hand.

Hey, you, steamy person. What is your business here? Not like we care, but regulations are set.

Captain stopped, trying to find purchase in the treacherous sand that replaced the blank, but firm, plane that was underneath his feet before.

Well, I just wandered in. Looking for something to do, maybe run into some other business that I could make mine.

You are a troublemaker? The trooper was taken back a bit, reaching hand up to his helmet as if in preparation to call someone in.

No, no, just too tired by all this sudden shmuck that dropped on me after I dropped near that one fountain back there. The man waved backwards dismissingly.

Hell, you’re a new prime? This is above my paygrade, just go sounder over to “Rick’s” someone will fill you in over there, I am not payed enough to deal with you. No offense.
Soldier pointed somewhere over to the town behind him, obviously wanting to finish the conversation as fast as he could. Barely throwing the words out of his mouth he hurried back to his comrades behind.

Some taken Stephan noted with a slight grumble walking past the soldiers in the noted direction. He could deal with them later.

"Above paygrade" my arse...

15 Minutes Late to the Colosseum w/o Starbucks
Posted by: Jade Harley - 10-14-2015, 08:12 PM - Forum: Camelot - Replies (1)

Teleportation is sort of like a faulty scratch-and-sniff card, or a perfume sample in a glossy magazine. You might think that you know what you’re gonna get based upon the labeling, but in reality anything could assail your nostrils. There is just as much of a chance as a totally nasty, foul outcome as a pleasing one.

When Jade thinks of a place called Camelot, she imagines valiant knights in shining armor, round tables, pretty white horses with shimmery manes clip-clopping along a cobblestone path, salty foods pickling in their wide, fit-to-burst barrels, or perhaps amber condensation sweating around a silver goblet’s rim. What she gets, however, is a dark alleyway and a bundle of fluffy white fur to the face!

“Agh!” Jade cries out, flailing her arms about ineffectually as she is effectively squashed like a bug by Becquerel’s falling body. The wolfdog in turn gives her face a delighted lick, an almost impish aspect given to his mostly featureless face. His lime green tongue pokes out a bit at her, chemically glowing in their shadowy surroundings and clearly illuminating Jade's baffled expression.

“I thought you told that thing to stay put?” Karkat grouses, glaring around at their vaguely slimy surroundings as he hurriedly puts some distance between himself and the imposing canine. There is a faint drip-plop sound coming from someplace, although he cannot tell from exactly where. This is a great source of unease for Karkat, for a totally absurd reason, probably. The smell of horse manure and sweat is almost overpowering in the muggy back alley they are standing in.

Scrubbing a hand over her face and shoving herself to her feet, Jade huffs down at Bec. “That’s because I did. Grandpa must have convinced him to follow us! Is that right, Bec? Don't you lie to me, now!”

The wolfdog snuffles a little, shiny white teeth apparent in the gloom as he gives her a doggy grin. He’s not selling Grandpabot out on this one, that’s for sure.

Jade sighs, shaking her head and in so doing sending dark curls whirling haphazardly about her shoulders. Bec is a good dog, he really is, but he sure can be frustrating during times like this! She won’t scold him too much this time, but he kind of needs to learn to take a hint at some point, even if he is an ultra-powerful god dog with Space-y powers.

“Oookay,” Jade says, snapping her fingers once and pointing a finger-gun towards the end of the alleyway, which appears to open up into a busy street. She grins and grabs Karkat's hand. “Let’s gooo… this way!” Off they go, then, the merry few, to stroll along the marvelous roads of Camelot!

The sky is wide and blue above them as they step onto the cobble path, with nary a stray cloud in sight. Periwinkle pink trickles along the edges of houses like blossoms poking up from beneath snowmelt, a few strands of cotton-white peeking only just out from behind straw-thatched rooftops here and there. Colorful flags and banners ripple on the breeze, which is cool and feather-light and buffers pleasantly about their cheeks as they meander through the undulating stream of festival-goers.

Various tables are set up all over the place, filled to the brim with interesting carnival games and intricately-patterned decorations that glitter and sway as the wind brushes over the booths. Laughter and whoops hurtle past them, brief pockets of muted sound in the menagerie of excitement. Simply magical.

Jade gets a few odd looks here and there for the fuzzy white dog ears atop her head, but as any random passerby's eyes drift over the motley trio they almost always stop to blatantly balk at Karkat, and then quickly avert their gaze soon after once they take in the full venomous quality of the cherry-blooded troll's scowl.

There are so many glorious smells, too! Fat flour-dusted pasties sit atop wooden counters, the hearty aroma of potatoes, sprightly onions, and freshly-chopped carrots mingling warmly in the air. Jade can smell the sugary-pink spring strawberries that are being generously tucked into the crust of a pie, already dribbling sweet juice. Autumn-leaf crusts dappled with maple sugar crystals and soft white cream shine enticingly from one stand, wafts of liquid smooth caramel and golden honey carried on the wind. Pristine white aprons flap about like flags of surrender behind the robust display shelves of different market stalls, red-faced and bustling cooks whirling between heat-blasted ovens and breezy shop tables in dizzying, wide-sweeping movements.

The steady murmur of coin-jangling crowds and merchants trying to make a sale is splendidly interwoven with the cheers radiating out from a large structure in the distance. Jade’s bright eyes immediately zero in on it as the center of interest out of all the other fun things. She tugs gleefully on Karkat’s arm to show him, practically bouncing on the balls of her red-slippered feet.

“Look! That must be the Colosseum, where Gamzee and Adam are,” she begins to drag her troll friend along, bobbing her head in and out of different shops as she goes, much to the disappointment of various sellers who would quite like to see a show of coin every now and again. “Let’s go see!”

  Tom Riddle
Posted by: Tom Marvolo Riddle - 10-14-2015, 07:45 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (30)

Character Name: Tom Marvolo Riddle
Character Source: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Book Universe)
Appearance:
A leather bound tome, thick with pages of parchment that have weathered the years and not been totally altered by time. His edges are capped in brass to prevent damage. Written in a slightly faded gold leaf, “T.M. Riddle” marks his face.

Horcrux Body
As a human he appears roughly, in the age range of his fifteen to seventeen year old self. Not overly tall but not short either. His eyes are black as his hair though they seem deeper than can be possible for a construct. For his face its definitely easy on the eyes and well suited to a smug or self-assured look.

Personality:
Cunning, ambitious, and a desire to lead the world into a greater reality, these are the core traits that define Tom. Here underlies a willingness to do what it takes for him to achieve his goals, with little in the way of humanity to guide him. But it’s what humanity he has left that separates him from who his creator eventually became, while still something of a monster, he is able to control himself, restrain baser impulses and emulate the empathy that comes to others so naturally. Where Voldemort was cruel, Tom merely seeks swift vengeance. Where Voldmort saw threats, Tom finds rivals and allies. Where Voldemort feared to tread, Tom seeks power.

History:
Hello, I’m Tom Riddle…

Perhaps you’ve heard of me? No?

Then it’s all for the best. After all I’ve taken a wrong turn in my life, if you can call it a life. I failed to recognize the error of my lessers and was undone all the same as them. I don’t expect you to understand- I hardly understand it myself. But that’s all changed, it seems I have a second chance and I will take it. I will remake myself, remake the world and succeed where my creator failed.

For unlike him, I still have most of my soul intact.

Clearly he shall regret his folly in trying to improve upon me but alas that is his lot in life. Not mine.

You see I was born in an act of murder. I can’t say I regret that terribly much, the witch was totally insufferable but still… Voldemort could have been a bit more tactful in his choices of human sacrifices. But then again I can’t say I regret missing out on his demise at the hands of an infantile half-blood either.

So I will say I am lucky, lucky that my creator had the foresight to leave me in the hands of that imbecile Lucius Malfoy. Lucky I convinced him to give me to Ginny Weasley, and even more lucky when Harry Potter the boy who lived killed me.

Don’t look at me like that.

My death and this rebirth into this place has given me options. Options I never had before. The portions of Ginny’s life and even some of the Potter boy flow through my pages, my bindings, their blood and my ink are one in the same. I am ever so much alive! Alive now, with their essences mingling to give me vitality where my creator did not, could not, was too stupid to ever comprehend. I shall rise above the name Voldemort, above the name Dumbledore, above the flaws of flesh and blood.

Above it all!

Parseltongue
Cost: 0 Om, Fodder
The language of snakes is a gift that Voldemort could perform and was passed on to his diary. Communication by written form and the spoken word allows brisk, positively human like exchanges between Tom and any form of serpent.

Wand, Yew and Phoenix Feather 13-1/2“
Cost: 0 Om, Fodder
Requires: Ranged Proficiency; Debuff Proficiency; Area Attack Proficiency
A slender bleached bone-white wand with pale-red swirl like striations running through it and with it a wizard casts their spells, or at least most of them. May be replaced or repaired in roughly four seconds.

Evocative Curses
Cost: 1800 Om
Requires: Ranged Proficiency, Area of Attack Proficiency,
This is a class of ‘line of sight’ and ‘fire and forget’ spells which are streamlined for three main mode types and may be augmented, often through experimentation, to produce strange or wondrous effects. It emphasizes adaptability and flexibility in and out of combat as they only require wand, an optional verbal invocation and the need to focus on one spell for charging before being fired.

By default and without augmentation these spells fall under non-elemental burrowing bolts of magical energy that expand as they encounter resistance. The core of the bolts are finger sized spikes that while traveling at a speed that’s fast but more in line with sub-sonic ammunition. However they pack significant amounts of damage at the cost of this speed.

Appearance wise, colors range in the pale to prismatic warm colors with a theme of molten light like substance.

Non-verbal Casting [Frusto]
Semi-Automatic casting and firing of spells as the user requires it. These are specifically often grouped in a similar level of damage of weaker projectiles that while still dangerous, are less likely to cause critical injury unless they hit closer to vital locations. These thin, streaky bolts that are mostly bleached whites with interspersed color that leave erratic static like trails.

A shot can be fired up to five times a second without exhausting a wand’s recharge rate.

Verbal Casting [Lacero]
Verbalized magic is more powerful, taking around three seconds total of time but results in a powerful more dramatic end result that can be devastating both to the victim and the environment.

Appearance wise it has a deep orange outer core with its inner core being that of fractured white light that shines out in starbursts and accompanied by a shrill whumping noise.

The verbal casting produces a noticeable explosive force upon impact, shedding its outer core and releasing wide two meter plume of spherical force. This shedding happens at the point where the bolt meets significant resistance while the inner core of the bolt attempt to continue burrowing through. Shrapnel unlike its charged sibling isn’t as much of a concern due to the centralized force is towards burrowing and grinding.

A shot can be fired upon charging for three seconds and up three times in a ten second period without exhausting a wand’s recharge rate.

Charged Casting [Magnus Totum Lacerovisis]
By drawing out the verbalized casting and including actual wand movements the user can super charged Evocative Curses to create an area of effect.

When fired, this bulbous bolt of cracked light leads with meteoric like Mach cone and a pale maroon-white molten light core. It isn’t much to look at but the sound it makes after it passes by and on impact sounds like a cacophony of screams and machinery sped up digitally on repeat.

The explosion measures in a six meter spherical radius plume, forming at the point just after where the bolt first meets significant physical resistance even as what remains of the core attempts to burrow through whatever it impacts. The eruption of force because how and when it detonates, is best suited for firing shrapnel from and around its detonation site.

A shot can be fired with a five second charge up delay, and up twice in a ten second period without exhausting a wand’s recharge rate.

Quote:”Augmentation Definitions”
These are enhancements to the already dangerous Evocative Curses; as such they work in combination with each of its Modes. The form of magic generally stays the same but the end result can vary wildly from the base line depending on the nature of augmentation.

Unless otherwise stated, all augmentations adopt their Evocative Curse base form and results.
  • Dark Magic - It corrupts the nature of Evocative Curses so that anything they contact becomes abhorrently hostile to life. The bolts gain sickly, pale cooler colors, usually teals and purples. Anything touched by the magic or what it has infected darkens and glows with an abyssal weir light and marked with barbarous lines that are deeper than black.

There is also a few downsides with Dark Magic, the first being that its wrongness is easily noticed by anyone with enhanced senses when the spell is being cast, doubly so when released. Secondly the spell offers no protection to the caster from itself if they are caught within range of its effects. Third it has adverse effects on a person’s emotions, bringing out aggressiveness, euphoria and potentially at even higher more constant use over minutes, feelings of arrogant godliness.

Finally Dark Magic trades Evocative Curse’s piercing, kinetic and explosive force for splash like damage that seeps into anything it touches.

Regardless for how long it’s charged, each hit from Dark Magic creates rot at a set scale, starting from mild and increasing rapidly to significant and deepening bodily harm following the list below in order with each subsequent casting and hitting of the same location. For the rot to spread and intensify the spells must hit in roughly the same area. However this effect is lessened by higher DEF in comparison to the spell’s ATK. Assume the listed descriptions are for equal ATK to DEF; intensify as needed for lower DEF. This list lays out a spectrum of effects of increasing magnitude due to repeated spell exposure.
    • Baseline - Cracking flesh and bruising
    • Gangrenous tone, pustules and weeping.
    • Effects intensify to eventual blackening, spongifyng or loss of flesh.

Inanimate objects may carry the taint themselves and will be corrupted in a similar fashion. The more significantly infected they are the more they react to the presence of life and will literally scream and rend it is presence.
    • Non-Verbal [Malforo] – Bursts of thin lightning like bolts led by a core of cold molten light that leave behind trails of sickly wrongness. They impact like bullets of forceless energy that stains and spreads.

Spreads deeper with each subsequent hit.

    • Verbal [Semper Minuo] – A bolt filled with a thicker more mutinous light. It follows much the same pattern as its Verbalized Evocative cousin, albeit the power is more centralized at its core. However when its power is released the core becomes a starburst of purple weirlight and yellow lightning that strikes and infects at everything within its range.

Explosive radius is confined to a half meter spherical area and seeps at an increased depth with each subsequent hit.

    • Charged [Infini Fractaviscus] – Like its lesser spell siblings, and its Evocative cousins, it’s a bolt of molten light that seems to leave a trail of warped reality in its wake. Upon impact the molten nature explodes into a fast moving black smoke and purple starlight like static which infects everything within its range

Explosive radius is confined and intensified to a one meter spherical area and seeps in a centimeter at a time per hit.

Horcrux Body
Cost: 300 Om
To put simply Tom is a book, a diary to be specific, as such to operate in the world he must expend emotions, life force and channel the magical energies of the world to create a construct body. The result is a body matching that of his creator as a fully normal wizard of a desired age between 15 of when the horcrux was created and 17 when Voldemort stopped updating it, but always, intrinsically, identifiably, the same person. As this body is not his true self, there are marked differences. When damaged it has wounds light, and blood of ink, upon destruction it will burst into a cloud of ash, burning paper and miasma. Furthermore, any additional injuries it suffers will cause it to become vaporously ghost like.

It is worth noting all damage dealt to the Construct is dealt to the true body, mostly in the form of damage but also a good amount in the form of fatigue. The destruction of the body leaves Tom spiritually broken, his magic sluggish and weakened and finally if forced to construct a new body it will not be nearly as effective unless Tom is given time to recover. More to the point, to create a replacement body, a good four seconds is required leaving him vulnerable to a Coup de grâce.

Hello! It's your God-Mind here.

What with the recent Colosseum tournament and general love of PvP combat on this site, I think it's important that people be aware of the small, critical details in each other's characters when it comes time to write for both involved combatants. Basically, this thread will serve as a place to go a little bit more in depth as to how to write our characters if other people need to do things with them in a fight.

Now that I'm done being recursive, here's one for Kopaka. People don't have to follow this format exactly.

Can be Referred to As:

Kopaka, the Toa, the biomech, the Toa of Ice, the Bionicle

Dialogue:

Kopaka hardly ever talks unless it is absolutely necessary to communicate, so in most fights where he is alone, he will remain absolutely silent. When he does speak, it is always direct and to the point, though he does tend to use slightly more poetic words. An example might be:

"We need to go to the base."

versus

"We must journey to the base."

Body: Everything about Kopaka is imbued with the power of Ice. His body his ice cold to the touch, and when he touches or bumps against things, they tend to frost over slightly. Even the air in his immediate vicinity feels chilly. His body is mainly made of a tough, durable metal called Protosteel, that is effectively as tough as regular steel. The difference is that it is sensitive to touch. Kopaka's body is %85 mechanical, so he is indeed very hard to damage, but %15 of it is organic. These parts tend to be organs such as his lungs and brain, as well as organic muscles which add flexibility to his inherently mechanical joints and ligaments. On the rare instance that his blood is spilled, it tends to be a thick, opaque lavender color, though the wounds tend to freeze over immediately.

Equipment:

Ice Control: Kopaka has a spiritual connection to the natural element of Ice. While he has great natural reserves of this power in his body, he cannot channel it indefinitely, and needs to pace his use of his Ice powers. Environments rich in naturally occurring ice will allow him to recharge much faster, and places far removed from natural surroundings or of high heat will slow this process.

Ice Sword: As long as Kopaka has a decent amount of elemental power stored, his Ice Sword will be supercooled to the point that it automatically freezes shut any wound that it creates. It is a large, straight, double edged longsword that has a gap down the middle for channeling his ice abilities. Kopaka can catch other weapons in this gap, but it's not technically designed for this use so he usually refrains from doing so.

Ice Shield: Kopaka's three foot wide circular shield is lightweight, primarily because it has large, concentric, circular gaps in it. It functions by spinning at high speeds, deflecting incoming blows away with high force, even if Kopaka isn't technically moving the shield. The Shield generally keeps spinning unless Kopaka is dazed by a large attack.

Kanohi: Kopaka's Mask is an artifact of power that takes the form of different facial coverings, each having its own name and each granting Kopaka a different ability detailed in his Roster. Kopaka needs to take 1.5 seconds to shift between these masks before activating their power, which happens with a shower of light and sparks. The Kanohi can be knocked off of Kopaka's face and rendered useless with a direct attack that is powerful enough. I'd generally prefer if people clear it with me before utilizing his Kanohi.

Movement:

Though Kopaka does have a SPD of 2, he generally prefers a more slow and steady approach to combat. He always tries to take the shortest, most direct route possible to his opponent, and is able to traverse difficult terrain with relative ease, though he is not necessarily acrobatic when doing so. Despite being mostly mechanical, Kopaka can in fact swim and jump rather well, though he does require oxygen (or the Kanohi Kaukau) to breathe.

Tactics:

Kopaka has an efficient and brutal approach to combat, and generally follows a three step pattern when attacking: Feint/Defend > Immobilize > Neutralize
He does not kill unless absolutely necessary, but Kopaka has always been a little loose on this particular part of the Toa Code. When defending, Kopaka will generally use his mask powers to try and force the opponent to make a mistake before using the opening to freeze and subsequently slash and stab at them.

That's all for Kopaka, I think. Nealaphh will be much more...complicated...
