Lois Lane -- Reporter Out Of Time
Posted by: Lois Lane - 10-30-2015, 09:17 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (2)

Character name: Lois Joanne Lane

Character source: Superman (DC Comics)

Character history: Using Lois Lane from Smallville continuity. She gets thrown into the Omniverse during season 10's episode Lazarus. To be more specific, Lois was stuck on the scarecrow post and was choking on smoke from a surrounding fire.

Physical Description:

Stats:
ATK: 2
DEF: 2
SPD: 2
TEC: 4

Starting Proficiencies:
- Physical Strength - 1000 OM
- Ranged Proficiency - 1000 OM

Starting Powers:
- Super-Jumping (Basic) - 300 OM
- Enhanced Senses (Basic) - 1400 OM

Starting Moves:
- A Lightsaber Thing (she has a wild imagination) - 300 OM
Perhaps it has to do with where she ended up, but Lois accidentally pulled a lightsaber out of thin air. It's somewhat tattered in appearance, looking like it was put together out of scraps, with a small brown cloth tied at the top to hold it all together. It emits a violet blade and cuts through stuff better than Lois's fist does.

  What the deuce ?!
Posted by: Todd Ingram - 10-30-2015, 01:05 PM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (1)

"What the deuce? What just happened ?" The British accent broke the silence of the white colored wasteland that is the nexus. The young boy looked around him, still confused of what just happened. uncontrollably Stewie started to walk back and forth while thinking out loud, his short feet peddling beneath him like a duck in a pond. His thoughts recalled the first meeting with the white playful deity.

Quote: “My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

"What an interesting individual that was, this, white grinning fellow that called himself Omni. If what he said was true and this is another universe, this will be an extraordinary experience. Omnilium looks like a piece of candy though, I wonder.."

The infant held the orb close to his face, his eyes glancing left and right to see if anyone was near. After a quick peek around he was sure the coast was clear. Stewie's tongue started at the bottom of the orb, slowly moving over the rainbow colored glimmering gift. The child's eyes opened widely during his tongue's travel over the orb's surface.

"What kind of crap is this ? This taste worse than Lois trying out one of that bastard Jaimie Oliver's extravagant recipes. All she ended up doing was screaming at the pots and pans how horribly bad they were", Stewie scolded at the orb, disappointing it wasn't as tasteful as it looked. "Perhaps I should try chewing it." The new prima attempted to fit the orb in his mouth but the glimmering object proved too big for his infant mouth.

"Damn you deliciously looking orb, come into my mouth! How dare you disobey me! If i can't eat it what bloody use is it ?" With that said, Stewie recalled another part of his meeting with Omni.

Quote: “This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.

“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

"On second thought, this might be useful after all, what do you think Rupert ? ...Rupert? Rupert where are you ?" Hastily the infant looked around the fountain in search of his companion, shouting out his name in despair. His search was without luck, his favorite companion was nowhere to be found and he sat down at the edge of the fountain.

"How can this be ? I cannot explore the Omniverse without Rupert. He is my friend" The genius sat with his face buried in his tiny hands, a strange sensation overcame him when all of his thoughts were focused on this one thing. Suddenly he knew, something happened, he opened his eyes and there it was, a brown plush bear known as Rupert was laying in front of him. "Rupert ! I knew you wouldn't leave me here." Stewie quickly grabbed the bear and hugged it.
After his happy reunion he finally realized what happened, it wasn't Rupert finding his way here on his own, it was this Omnilium orb that helped Stewie summon him here.

"If this stuff helped get you here, it might work for some other things as well." The bear didn't reply, it laid there quietly . " Ow don't be daft Rupert, of course i won't do anything stupid like bringing that vile woman here, we finally got rid of her. No i got something more, diabolical planned."
Once more Stewie focused his thoughts on what he wanted to get. The sensation lasted a bit longer than last time but once more he got that incredible feeling of success. His eyes opened and there it was, his beloved Laser gun.

"Victory is mine !" The young genius shouted loudly as he fired his newly summoned weapon into the air.. "Now we can get going Rupert, let's see what this universe has to offer a young stud like myself. Omni mentioned others that want to get their hands on this magnificant omnilium, we should send a message to people trying to steal mine. Nothing say's "Fear me" like a bloody head on a pole." The plush hadn't moved an inch, it was still in the exact same spot as before. "Yes you are right Rupert, might send out the wrong message when we go out to dinner. We will just have to shoot them instead." The respond from Rupert was deafening as he laid and stared back at Stewie. "Very well, we should get some sort of transportation, those...gates seem to be rather far. I know just the thing."

He used this trick two times now, he was getting the hang of this. Perhaps he could bring some alteration to his inventions as well using Omnilium. Sitting in a Zen-state, Stewie concentrated like never before. It took a long while before accomplishing his goal, then again, it was a rather big challenge. Before long his eyes shot upon and turned around, there it was.

In all its glory his tricycle was shining in the white lighted Nexus, yet his tricycle did not have the paddles like it did back home. Stewie put on his freshly summoned shades and helmet, put them on, strapped Rupert on the backseat and climbed his mount. " It's time to rock and roll ! "

The prime pressed the button on the handle and a roaring engine sound was heard. He pulled the throttle twice and let the engine roar proudly once more. "I am such a badass. Not even Vin diesel looked this cool when he was trying to flex his biceps at the end of that fast and furious movie."

With that Stewie pulled the throttle and the vehicle shot forward.

The Infirmary (Open to people hurt from matches etc..) (M)
Posted by: Jak Mar - 10-30-2015, 10:35 AM - Forum: Camelot - Replies (2)

The infirmary...

A place where the unconscious and tournament gladiator fighters lay..

There were many beds, full of medics running from bed to bed grumbling under their breaths about primes and how they should of let the primes die since they came back anyways.

One in particular was dragged via a cot toward a bed, a blondish green man with long ears was unconscious and was laid onto the bed. The man looked to seemingly dead, but wasn't. He was unconscious and the medics did all they could to make sure the man would breath again and get him moving.

Jak seemed to lay there, bullet wounds to the upper body, along with scattered pieces from the last attack. The medics began to place a breathing mask on the man trying to get him to wake up. Once that was on, the medics began the process of removing the bullets from the wounds with bloody gloves.

"Who's this again..?

Internet circles called him "Dynamite Kid"

The Dreamer -- Switching Emerald/Wizard to "The Dreamer"
Posted by: Shade - 10-30-2015, 04:16 AM - Forum: Joining - Replies (12)

Character name: "The Dreamer"

Character source: Original.

Character history: A normal Human Male of 21 years. That's the way they were perceived on Earth, and they were treated as such. As one of no remarkable talent or skill. Although looks aren't everything. They were the living embodiment of this idea. They held worlds within their mind, yet they were chained to their flesh vessel, to forever be unable to show the world how extraordinary they were.

The one call Omni could see past their flesh prison though. He brought them to a world where they could actualize the infinite potential that lay between their ears.

This prison of flesh and blood could no longer hold them.

Physical Description:
Human. Caucasian. Male in body. Six feet tall. Brown hair. Blue Eyes.
Often wearing a pea-coat, black in color, along with tan-colored khaki pants and a pair of black-leather ankle-high boots.

Stats:
ATK:1
DEF:1
SPD:3
TEC:5

Proficiencies: Physical Strength 1000 (4000)

Powers: Enhanced Senses: Basic 1400, Foresight 1500, Time Manipulation (300)

Moves:
No Hands, Mom! (Requires Physical Strength, Time Manipulation) - 300 OM
With the change of rules the Omniverse employs, The Dreamer is more easily able to bring what lies in their mind to life.
In this case, they are able to respond to attacks without the need to actually use their actual hands. They use their mind to 'generate' a pair of arms, visible only to those with Enhanced Senses. To those that can see them, they appear as a hollow aura of white/yellow light in the shape of The Dreamers actual arms. The color of the aura can change with the mood or intent of The Dreamer (This is purely cosmetic). They are functionally equivalent to their own actual arms, and have a reach of about 3 feet. The arms are not actually attached to their body, but instead hover slightly away from their body at any position required. Strain placed on these arms, like if they were used to hold up something or push against something, places that strain on The Dreamer's mind, rather than their body.
The Dreamer's expanded perception of the world allows them to react more quickly to perceived attacks with these arms, feeling as if the world around them is slowing as they view it and formulate a response.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct. Yes.

**On second thought, about the stats, which ones would affect the strength of mental attacks? And which would affect the strength of telekinetic-like attacks?

Story of Seasons: An Ambrosia Story
Posted by: Proto Man - 10-29-2015, 07:02 PM - Forum: The Tangled Green - Replies (5)

A few miles from the outskirts of Ambrosia, Mireya let out a sigh and leaned against a tree. She’d managed to ‘escape’ from the crowd of excited citizens by excusing herself to use the bathroom and slipping out a back window. With the strange mini-metropolis behind her for now, the half-night elf was able to enjoy some fresh air. This zone of the Tangled Green wasn’t that violent, and with the growth of the settlement, it had become even less so over the last year.

The princess—the strange, short one (why were all these primes so tiny?) with the pink hair and dead eyes—had given her permission to live outside the city proper and still consider herself a citizen of Ambrosia. The ability to live on her own yet still trade and mingle with civilization on her terms was perfect for the woman, who was still used to living life on the edge of society. While she had come to love Blues like a naïve kid brother, she knew she had to be on her own to truly find a stride.

After walking another half mile from the city, Mireya came to a nice little spot. It wasn’t much—a clearing wide enough to let a few rays of sunshine touch the forest floor. Even so, it felt like a beacon, drawing her toward the end of her little exodus from Ambrosia. Walking into the light, Mireya glanced up at the sun and smiled as it warmed her mauve-colored skin. As she soaked in some of the lovely rays, she removed her heavy pack and dropped it against the closest tree. A beat later, she removed her spear, scimitar, kukri, and her collection of small chakras and placed them on the ground.

“Axe…” the half-night elf muttered as she knelt in front of her pack, pulled open the drawstring, and rooted through the tools. It didn’t take long for her to pick out the yellow cloth that protected the business end of her chopping axe. Since she was a secondary, she would have to do her work the long way.

Stepping back, she eyed up the closest tree, and as she hacked it down, she found herself whistling the little tune that Blues used to hum to himself. Despite her lithe frame, she was through the tree in just under a dozen heavy chops, and once she was clear of its path, she moved on to her next adversary. Unlike the blighted monsters and undead creatures she’d fought over the last few months, the trees were far less aggressive.

It will begin soon...

Fellow inhabitants of the Omniverse,
You may refer to me as "Song". Most of you do not know who I am, or what this site that you stumbled upon is. It will become known soon. I will disclose information eventually.

The Shardworld is Coming.

A project has been initiated today. It will be completed soon... give me a week. Perhaps ten days. This site will provide you with information until then. It will be the central point of reference when the project is completed.
This project is called "Shardworld". You will be able to play a game beyond anything you have experienced until now.

It is more than a game.

I must focus on the creation through Omnilium for now. More information will be supplied eventually.
Be ready.

The Shardworld is coming.

  Character class archetypes
Posted by: Undyne - 10-29-2015, 12:19 PM - Forum: The Whateververse, Man - Replies (22)

This is for the people that want to make a character, change their existing one or add a new form with stats to theirs. Or, just for shits and giggles!

Basically it's a list of archetypes, decided by the stat setup that you use. Feel free to add your own!

The Knight
Setup: 3/5/0/2
This one hits hard and has some degree of skill. But he has the defense of a steel-reinforced concrete wall. Like, goddamn, breaking Obsidian with your bare hands in Minecraft is easier than to hurt this guy. On the bad side, a drunk turtle would move faster than him.
Usual moves are crossbows, big swords, shields, heavy punches and such.
Hard-Counter: Ranged attacks and kiting. Knights won't catch you, ever.

The Glass Cannon
Setup: 5/0/2/3
Holy mother of Omni, this one hurts. They're probably the same person that also plays Draven in League of Legends or something. Their primary focus is to sink every stat point they can into attack. They probably argue with the mods why they can't go 10/0/0/0, too. Their attacks hit harder than Zeus's mighty thunder from the sky. Luckily they are slow and have absolutely no defense.
Usual moves are Anti-Material rifles, cannons, bazookas, chainguns and swords that are so big they require Ranged Proficiency. Generally everything to fight at a distance.
Hard-Counter: Assassination. Stealth, high ATK or even a Super Move will tear them apart.

The Living Wall
Setup: 0/5/1/4
This is probably someone who joined the site with a Glass Cannon character, or found themselves one such partner before even waking up at the Nexus. They're like a knight, but worse. Their own attacks faze nobody, they're slow like the kid that gets picked last for sports class, but when it comes to defending... ohhh boy. They will drive you to madness by walling harder than the great Wall of China. And they'll protect their Glass Cannon partner in the process so that person can go ham on you.
Usual moves are shields, walling techniques, telekinetically moving objects to make walls, parrying stances, grabs and debuffs that slow/stop you.
Hard-Counter: Debuffs that lower their defense, high ATK stats.

The Bodyguard
Setup: 0/5/4/1
The little brother of the Living Wall. They are quite similar in that they don't do anything damage-wise and require a powerful partner to do so. However the Bodyguard, also known as Lightning Tank, trades pure defense and annoying-ness for the ability to meat-wall any attack... by jumping in front of it. Bullets? Swords? Super Moves? Kamehameha? No problem bro, I got you covered! And they have enormously high defense to boot, so you're not gonna punch their way through them anytime soon either.
Usual moves are shields and parrying daggers. They also have Super Jumping, Master Acrobat, Teleportation etc.
Hard-Counter: Debuffs that stop them in their tracks, non-blockable attacks.

The Support
Setup: 0/2/3/5
Alone, this character's pretty much cannon fodder. But if you allow them to get assistance in the form of Assists or people joining the fight, you're in for a world of pain. The Support will stack buffs on their friends and probably fuse with them too, until you are facing a 20/20/20/20 opponent. They might also have Debuffs to further make your life a pain.
Usual moves are Buffs, Symbiosis Fusion, Assists, Powerups (so they can fuse with their friend in powered-up form), Debuffs, Suppression.
Hard-Counter: KILL IT BEFORE IT LAYS EGGS! Seriously, Supports are fairly squishy, you can punch through them before they can call for help if you do it right. Don't leave them unchecked however if they have friends around.

The Ninja
Setup: 4/0/2/4
The assassin class. Stealth and Suppression are an integral part of their kit to silently murder their opponents before they can react, while suppressing any Enhanced Senses, Foresight and other stealth-detecting moves they might have. Their first purchases will likely involve stat upgrades to 4/0/3/5 or something.
Usual moves are poisoned daggers, katanas, shurikens, silenced guns and smoke bombs. They ALWAYS have Stealth and Suppression and often use Super Jump and/or Master Acrobat.
Hard-Counter: Area of Effect, high defense. With AoE you can create a deathfield where you believe them to be, and any attack will reveal them from stealth, thus allowing you to finish them. Also, someone with Living Wall setups will drive a Ninja insane.

The Naruto Ninja
Setup: 4/0/3/3
They want to be ninjas but they don't use stealth or suppression. Instead they rely on acrobatic moves, Super Jumps and short-range teleportation to dodge attacks and flip all over the place. Also, they will use hand seals and may quote all their attacks as they unleash them on you. They're more like agile mages, really.
Usual moves are martial arts, daggers (kunai!), throwing stars (shuriken!), ninja arts (jutsus!) as well as extremely awesome flips and acrobatics to dodge your attacks.
Hard-Counter: PIRATES, YARR! No, but seriously... they're squishy. Debuffs that slow or snare them, or at least restrict their ability to dodge everywhere, will do you plenty of good. Also, diehard Naruto fans will be able to tell what Jutsu they're about to cast by looking at the signs they are making.

The Samurai
Setup: 5/1/1/3
Samurais are easily recognizable by that they have a katana which they probably sharpen every two hours. That katana? Stay away from it. It probably cuts through stone the same way you cut through warm butter when smearing it on your bread. They may have a secondary weapon but in either case will be very focused on the usage of the katana.
Usual moves include katana swings, katana stabs, katana parries and blocks, katana counters, katana ranged slashes, katana powerup-ing... you get the idea.
Hard-Counter: Debuffs that restrict/prevent the use of their katana - freeze the blade solid, heat the hilt up to burn their hands, blind them... High rate-of-fire weapons like chainguns (they can't block all the bullets) and stealth attacks also work well against them.

The Pro
Setup: X/X/X/5
Whatever their setup may be, the Pro is hell-bent on having the maximum possible TEC in the entire Omniverse. This goes beyond necessity levels like for a Ninja - they will invest OM into stat upgrades whenever they can and try to get to 20 TEC asap like a maniac. They will love Supports because they can fuse with them, and Supports have high TEC too. They probably want bragging rights about having the highest TEC.
Usual moves include everything that relies on TEC to be effective: Suppression, Debuffs, Buffs, skillful techniques and blocks...
Hard-Counter: Dependant on their setup. You can't out-TEC them though, don't bother trying.

The Swiss Army Knife
Setup: 2/3/3/2
A lot of Omniverse characters have this. Swiss Army Knives are jacks-of-all-trades, they have some of everything: melee, ranged, buffs, debuffs, area of effect, shields, Assists, Powerups, Super Moves... they probably require a pocket dimension to store all the items in.
Usual moves are... everything. EVERYTHING. Don't try to prepare for a fight against a Swiss Army Knife because they'll still surprise you with something unexpected.
Hard-Counter: Force them into the situation you excel in and don't let them escape it again. Unless you're a swiss army knife too, in which case it comes down to who has more moves. There is no hard counter to them because they can be everything and anything.

The Super Saiyan
Setup: Iunno.
This person can't fight without Powerup. Actually, their stats and moves are trimmed to being the most effective during their powered-up form. I think this class doesn't actually exist in the Omniverse.
Usual moves: A Power-Up. Or three.
Hard-Counter: Try to get in some damage before they can power up so you have a head start. If you got a Power-up yourself, use it as soon as they use theirs if you don't want to be crushed.

  Taking Nanowrimo by Storm
Posted by: Gildarts - 10-29-2015, 12:02 PM - Forum: The Creative Corner - Replies (1)

Structure helps a good story, and strategy helps too. Place here just little tips you think might help others who wish to complete the challenge, 50,000 words is a big chunk! How would you do it? In segments? Wing it? Or perhaps a blend of both?

Novels have chapters that help the story grow with each one read.

My tip to the Nanowrimo challengers is probably: Stay with it even if you miss a day. If you have a good idea of what you want, write it down and plan to edit it later. Don't fixate on every word you write, sentences with a second glance can seem different later on. Lastly, collaborate with a close friend on a part that you may not feel strongly about. I know its a more individual task, however, I plan to have Strazio take a look at mine if I need a little help with pacing the story.

thanks in advance straz <3

  Make A Wish
Posted by: Dust - 10-29-2015, 02:06 AM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (3)

Earth, Hokori Owari Hoshi: Last Days on Earth.

In the air hung a heavy scent of gun powder, that and the recently disturbed dirt hazed the area well, hiding both Dust and his enemies. The only scent that rivaled that of the gun's was his own blood. He took on heavy wounds as usual during any combat. His trainer, Agnes, has told him time and time again how stupid his actions were, especially for a calculating contractor as he was meant to be. But the problem with that, is he had been introduced early on to the concept of calculated risk. His price and power all revolved around close combat status.. And damage taken during these scraps was just something that had to happen.

That or they attach a cute girl at his hip with a tether that allowed him to retrieve her when it was time to pay up. But that was illogical, and he'd argue that it would put the life of someone in higher danger if they actually did such a thing. And while he couldn't see the Russian's giving a damn, he new the people making the decisions knew exactly what he was speaking of. Necessary risks was one thing, endangering a capable solider for the sake of one contractor was stupid.

They weren't exactly rare! Just a glance up at the millions of stars would give you a good guess on how many were available, as their numbers were directly related to the stars in the fake night sky. And as a whole, the public didn't care much for his kind.. Even though they were all equally possibly one. It wasn't like you were born with this.. It wasn't genetic. One day you are a normal human being, and the next the star calls out to you. At least.. That's how Dust imagined this process was..He wasn't really the scientific type.

He was the, pop out and punch someone type. Which is what he did, grabbing the nearest person with a uniform that didn't match his own, and pinned them to the ground. When the man yelled out, Dust's hopes for a pleasant payment was lost, he didn't look too closely at him through his goggles, and just shoved his face down. He kissed the guy deeply and forcefully, had to while the guy struggled so much. Like the gender, age, and difficulty to kiss this guy wasn't hard enough, but the man tasted like cigarette smoke and vodka.

12.. 13.. 14.. "FIFTEEN!" Volk called out in disgust as he pulled away from the vile mouth. He spit at the ground before finally activating his power.. The pupils of his eyes glowed an demonic red and then came an unpleasant cracking sound as his body remodeled itself.

The kiss had to at least be 15 seconds long.. And passionate. If he had someone more attractive to pay the price with, this could have gotten a lot more erotic, but Dust had wanted to pull away as soon as he could possibly. With the cost paid in advance, he was allowed to use his transformation now, and surprise the rest of his party while he still had the jump on them.

Some of Dust's bones dislocate, bulk up, and then pop back into place, other's just stretched out and grew, but by the time the sickening breaking sound was done, there stood a 10 foot wolf with a slight hump of his back as his thick neck had to lean down to look at the situation. His clothes were already torn from previous transformations, leaving Lycan with cuffs that stretched the fabric and strained the capability of the buttons that held it on. His chest was bare except the new fur, only the grey tie remained and the red scarf. The beige pants held onto him by threads, the belt already torn to shreds.

He wasn't easy to hide... So he worked quickly to jump into the opening where everyone else was, and roar a dragonic sounding roar as he tried to thin out the weakest ranks. Which were the three that dropped their weapons as they pissed themselves, and fled. The stronger ranks were the two he's come in contact with before, a blonde woman who's nickname was Shock, and a contractor that had a nasty habit of making werewolf jokes at Hokori's expense.

"We've located SW - 808." Shock announced into her radio as the other contractor, Drake, as he introduced himself once, got in the way of Dust and her. "He's already taken heavy damage by the looks of it, what did you want us to do?"

"The mission is to capture SW - 808 with VP - 375, if this at any point becomes impossible, use any method available to terminate Star Dust." Came from the crackling of the radio.

"Affirmative." Shock replied, before pulling out a high-tech pole. Her specialty, noted Wolf, was her work with a pole arm. Its usually been just a long staff of some sort, but this one felt and looked different. He also heard the conversation, despite being locked in power struggle already with Drake. He smirked at Dust, and he suddenly felt like he no longer had the upper hand. "Hear that, VP 375?"

"I did, Sparky. I don't know which one I'll enjoy more.. Putting a muzzle on this ugly mutt, or putting him down." He said with a sadistic grin that revealed sharp and elongated canines. "Do me a favor, Pup, and make this easy for us. Just get in the cage." At that point, he pulled away sharply, and a white circle appeared under the fully transformed contractor. It was Dust's only hint that there was something coming. He leaped up with all his might and narrowly missed the spears of ice that shoved through the earth from where the circle had been.

Dust landed a short ways back as Drake laughed sadistically. The only response they got was the wolf growling a mean warning. If he was allowed to talk in this form, it wasn't something that's came up when they all fought, and wouldn't change at that moment as he stood his ground.

It was Shock who made the next move, swinging her weapon his way. He leaped out of the way with plenty of time to claw at her on his escape, but that only seemed to invoke whatever protection service Drake was under, and he defended with claws of his own. 'Tiger Claws' made from ice, strong enough to duke it out with a werewolf. "No. Bad!" He said, as if he was training a mongrel. Then he swiped up with his other hand, the claw on that one to. It caught Dust off guard and slashed right across his chest.

With a howl, Lycan pulled back with another jump and landed on the earth a few meters away. He then hit his knee as he touched his burning chest with a loud whine.

"Did that hurt, Pup? I didn't even use Silver." Drake smirked. "Come on, boy. You have to understand fighting for much longer will just weaken you further. Let's be logical here.. Shock is just the dog-catcher here. She just wants to bring you back to a new master. No point in dying over this." Drake taunted.

For whatever reason, his country, Austria, wanted this shape shifting contractor. Probably thinks he will be a perfect watch dog for the family treasure. But that didn't matter to the likes of him. He was just doing as he was told, and if he could torment Volk in the meanwhile, this fight would be all the more sweet. While he taunted the poor dog, Shock was already moving into place. "Where's your back up, Pup? Did you eat them all?"

"Stop playing with your food, Drake." Shock interrupted, holding the tech staff on her shoulder. "You're getting on my nerves.. Now shut him down, or shut up." Her hair flew away into the wind, snow was still billowing around them, the haze of battle gone.. There were numerous bodies all over the place. Some were crying, some were cowarding, and then there was Ookami.. He was a mess. Bullet wounds, slash marks, blood staining the pieces of fabric that strained to hide him. "If you come with me, Star Dust.. I'll help you make your payment. I'm a better kisser than Sam back there."

Lycan's vision blurred.. In an out, and he couldn't tell if it was the snow, the wind, or the blood loss. His breathing was heavy, and he was almost quiet literally on his last leg..As a contractor, he saw every benefit to giving up, but as a wolf it was hard. Logically.. fighting until he was dead would leave him with no peace or pride. No one would morn for him, so he couldn't even say he was fighting for a loved one. He was incapable of love.. He was stoic and cold, and the world believed he was shit.

Drake's taunting made it hard.. While he had no pride to get in his way.. He still didn't like to admit defeat. But he was having a harder time saying no now that he was fading in and out of consciousness. His knew wound was taking what blood he had left, and the cold didn't effect him so much in this form, but he was going to revert back soon and frost bite wasn't any better of a choice..

Shock moved closer, poised to use her weapon at any given moment, but approached him without threat. She was clear to him one moment, then blurry the next, then the moment after that she was inches from his face. "My boss said only to kill you if it seemed impossible.. But you don't look like you have much fight left in you. So just fall into my arms, and come with me."

Her voice was both soothing like ice against a bruise, and bitter like hail against the body.. But she was right.. He had nearly nothing left.. If he continued in this form, he'd owe more than he took. So he finally admitted defeat, if only because it was Shock and not Drake. His eyes closed, and he fell forward into her arms, pinning the woman to the dirt as a human. Muttering something that neither could hear or figure out.

Her name was actually Sophia. She was human, and she cared for him the whole time it took to travel by train to Austria. She put his head in her lap, and only tagged out with the pillows when nature called for food or waste. She gently petted the wounded werewolf, letting their medic tend to his wounds.

With all the scars on his body, she wondered how man he had on his heart. She wondered who beat him brutally and probably mentally. Who's kid did she pet now, on their way back to her home country. These were all unspoken questions she'd never probably have answers to, but it kept her mind busy.

"How long are you going to cuddle him?" Drake's voice interrupted. "Princess?"

Sophia was not a princess, she wasn't even royalty. She just looked the part. And it annoyed her to no end that Drake insisted on calling her such. "Until I feel like it." She said forcefully. "I did say I would help him make his payment." She said.

"He would have suffered through system shock by now if he over stepped his payment." Drake said. Though he was not sure what happened to them when they did not make their payments. His was drinking blood, earning him the nickname 'Drakula' shortened to Drake. He enjoyed it, really.. And tells those curious enough that his favorite flavor is 'virgin'. He couldn't honestly tell the difference, but he liked to mess with people.

"Why do you care?" Sophia asked, with a cut tone.

"I don't. Do whatever you like, Sparky. Just don't get too attached. He won't love you back." Drake said, looking back out at the snow from the window. "We don't have emotions anymore." He finished his thought, then added. "Besides, he's probably going to go through intensive reprogramming before they let him anywhere near you again. If ever.. He could be reassigned for treasure keeping duty for all we know."

"Can't help it.. He's kind of cute. In a dog king of way."

"Rise and Shine~!" Drake said, throwing a bucket of ice water onto the peacefully sleeping dog. Who rose from his bed like a cat who's been dropped into the tub. Gasping from the shock and gripping his bare chest. "Get up, they got Sparky, its time to run."

SW - 808 noticed quickly that he was covered in bandaging, wore new pants, and was now soaked. He only had to glance around to see they were still on the train, a cushiony cabin payed by the government. He saw the snow moving, but couldn't feel the place rocking like it would normally if they were traveling, he was still in shock and confusion when he felt a hand smack him as hard as it could across the face.

"I SAID LET'S GO!" Drake screamed, tired of dealing with this dog.

Confused, he could still remember he agreed to switch sides, and had no other information to tell him if it was a bad idea or not to follow Drake's orders. Other than how he didn't like it. He was up on his feet soon, but felt the pain of a fractured bone as he put pressure on his right foot. He cried out, fell through the hall and right on top of a guard. He was dead. Ookami couldn't see anything behind the dark shades, but knew he was dead.

"On your feet." Drake spurred, pulling him up by the hair. Dust growled, but Drake ignored him. "Come on, before they catch us, too." He picked the buffer man up and onto his shoulder, taking pressure off the limb as they ran the opposite way of machine gun fire. Noises that only became very clear now to Dust. "Ambushed. We just crossed the boarder. Now I need you to not look back, no matter what you hear."

"Easy enough.. Not like we can be sentimental." Hokori replied, coldly.

"I have no information or idea what our leash holders want us to do, so I can only assume they want us to return home as quickly as possible, so head to the Austrian capital. Don't stop until you reach it, or are dead."

"Is that a direct order, sir?"

Drake laughed. "You make me seem almost human.." He replied, as they hopped along to the back of the car. They were yanking open the door when they heard voices calling out for them to stop. Drake didn't stop, and they were shot at as they ducked out the door and to the left side in order to escape the stalled train. Drake got hit and they both tumbled off and into the snow.

Dust picked himself up off the ground to be face to face with Drake's. His new companion apparently taking the bulk of the shots as he was able to see several exit wounds now. Drake was starting up at the sky, beyond Dust. "When.. You see it fall. Make a wish for me. Pup.. And maybe I'll see ya.. In the after life."

"Drake?" SW - 808 questioned..

"My star.. Hoshi-kun. Tonight's going to be my last. So when it falls.. Pray for me, and make a wish."

Wolf hadn’t been aware that anyone knew his real name anymore. He'didn’t been referred to as so many nicknames and other things, he almost had forgotten it himself. He lowered his head, hanging it next to the dying contractor. "What the hell are you saying? We're contractors, damn it. What do we have left to wish for?"

"...Freedom..." Whispered Drake, as satellite VP - 375 blinked out and started to fall to earth..

It was at this point that Dust was spared.. As he lifted his head to find the dead star he was consumed by darkness. All around him it would seem as though he had been launched into space. His last vision of his universe being the white tail of Drake's star streak past the sky..
