Same character, different age? - Asriel Dreemur - 11-18-2015 Is it possible for me to revert Asriel back to kid form? Since that's where most of the story comes from after all. And the others are giving positive responses, so I was just curious if there was a way to re-do things so that then Asriel is a kid, but still has all of his things and didn't go to his adult future. Plz, for the cuteness ; w ; Re: Same character, different age? - Minato Namikaze - 11-19-2015 Well, You've already made posts... it wouldn't really make sense for your character to have aged backwards in the middle of a Role Play. I guess you can resubmit your character (Like you're joining again) but just change his age. Re: Same character, different age? - Magus - 11-19-2015 Is it that improbable, though? In a world where people can turn into monsters, fly, and shoot laser beams out of their bums, can Asriel really not "de-age"? It's just an aesthetic choice. Maybe Asriel needs to find some kind of item or stumbles into a terrible time distortion or ...something. I'm not saying just revert for no raisin but it seems like it'd be an easy thing to explain away. I could be wrong, though. Re: Same character, different age? - Minato Namikaze - 11-19-2015 I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to say no for now. Hes in the middle of an RP with other people, it would not make any sense to just have him as an adult in one post, and then a child in another. Re: Same character, different age? - Magus - 11-19-2015 Oh. Yeah, I didn't mean like IMMEDIATELY. Just that it might be possible at all(?). Re: Same character, different age? - Undyne - 11-19-2015 Could it be put in as a roleplay element of sorts? Story-wise, I mean... like, just off the top of my head, say that Asriel for some reason loses a lot of Omnilium that makes up his body (remembering Omni's words: "Without it (Omnilium) you are nothing.") which as a result must revert to a smaller form? Re: Same character, different age? - Minato Namikaze - 11-19-2015 I mean sure, I asked Omni about having Child characters age to their older versions (quickly and via a temporary pocket verse with a different passage of time), and he said that it wasn't impossible. So I would assume that the opposite could be true as well. However, I would ask staff for permission on this first (Specifically Omni or Proto for the pocket verse thing). ![]() @Alexyana, Primes don't lose Omnillium though (outside of OOC punishments). Re: Same character, different age? - Undyne - 11-19-2015 Hmm, is it just secondaries that OM can be "extracted" from then? Also, I didn't mean that you should actually take OM from Asriel's earned count - just that his body would be made up of less of it. Might not be a functional idea after all then
Re: Same character, different age? - Ruby Rose - 11-19-2015 Maybe something someone says brings back one of Asriel's memories, and it just swarms him, causing him to unconciously shift into the age he was at the time of the memory? That would be the best, IC. Re: Same character, different age? - Minato Namikaze - 11-19-2015 It also makes no sense. Re: Same character, different age? - Asriel Dreemur - 11-19-2015 So I'm trying to understand the chatter in this thread. I know that I can't change mid-RP because that's weird. But that leaves me with the option of 'Resubmit the character after RP is done', or 'Pocketverse a younger Asriel after it's done.' At the same time, it has little sense to it (The sudden change of age). But hey, if a multi-verse fantasy can exist, then why not this? Though the resubmit has me curious. What does that entail? Delete everything after the RP is done and re-do it? Or just add changes to the history+Age+appearance after the RP? Re: Same character, different age? - Minato Namikaze - 11-19-2015 Basically, you'd rejoin as Asriel, but you have the option of changing anything you want (Because you're Re-Joining). Age, Moves etc. The downside to all of this is you are basically going to be joining again, so you get your OM reset to 5K. |
