Changing character: Alarak - Vulre Oakenlimb - 11-18-2015

Character name: Alarak

Character source: Starcraft

Character history:
Highlord of the Tal'darim, a breakaway faction of Protoss that worship the Xel'Naga Amon, Alarak was not always the indisputable leader of this brutal sect. Originally a lowly Votary, he manipulated those higher above him on the Chain of Ascension (A system wherein you either obey those above you, or attempt to kill them in a ritual combat known as Rak'shir) into a bloody battle that left over 800 Tal'darim dead. He quickly rose to the top of this new power vacuum, becoming Fourth Ascendant, a mere few steps from High Lord. Some time after this, he was approached by First Ascendant Nuroka, who claimed that Amon had no intention of Ascending the Tal'darim, instead reveling in the countless deaths caused in Rak'shir. Alarak promptly attacked the heretic, who promptly tossed him aside. It was then that Nuroka forced Alarak to admit that Amon could be slain within the Void, and to join them while deterring the second and third ascendants from joining Ma'lash, the Highlord of the Tal'darim, whom Nuroka intended to challenge to Rak'shir.

What happened next was a master stroke of cunning. The second and third ascendants turned on each other, with the victor aiding Ma'lash. Alarak promptly stepped in and aided Nuroka, slaying the sole survivor and lending his psionic strength to Nuroka's telekinetic tug of war. Only after half an hour of this, did he show his true colours and betray Nuroka, granting Ma'lash the strength needed to end his foe. At the end of the day, when the terrazine fog claimed the night, the path was cleared for Alarak to become First Ascendant. Submitting to Ma'lash's rule, and biding his time to claim his place as Highlord, Alarak tried and failed to quash the doubt that Amon was merely using them all.

Years later, when Amon corrupted the Khala that bound the Protoss, Alarak led a contingent of the Death Fleet to annihilate the remaining purifiers in hibernation. Not long after his efforts were foiled by Artanis, he had a crisis of faith and realized that what Nuroka spoke all that time ago was the truth: Amon was using them, abandoning them in favour of his abominable hybrids. Teleporting aboard the Spear of Adun, he betrayed Amon to the Daelaam, rescuing Artanis from Amon's deadly trap.

Not long, after, he proposed a bargain to the Hierarch: Aid him in Rak'Shir against Ma'Lash, and the Tal'darim would aid them against Amon. Artanis reluctantly accepted, and both sides kept their end of the bargain, despite their myriad differences. Once Ma'Lash laid dead, Alarak revealed Amon's betrayal to his people, and led them on a grand crusade against Amon's forces, from Aiur to the void itself, they took their vengeance upon their dark god.

After Kerrigan ended the existence of Amon, Alarak took his loyal followers on a journey to locate a new world to call their own, allowing any dissidents one chance to turn their backs on the Tal'darim and join Artanis's forces. As the Death Fleet left the Daelaam behind, sojourning out into the unknown, Alarak was plucked from his position of command, and thrown into the Omniverse.
Physical Description: (originals only)

Alarak is a notably pale Protoss, entirely encased within blackened, blade-covered armour, from the tips of his claws to the endings of his nerve-cords. His eyes glow crimson with his psionic might, penetrating deep into the soul of those standing before him. His presence is highly intimidating, due to a natural talent, a lifelong abuse of terrazine, and his weaponized armour.

Stats:
ATK: 5

Alarak's might is undeniable, his strength and raw psychic power earning him his position within the darwinist Tal'darim society.

DEF: 4

His natural constitution is only further complemented by his heavy armour, shielding him from the pitiful strikes of lesser beings.

SPD: 0

While his momentum can carry him into devastating charges, his approach is slow, but, much like his victory, inevitable.

TEC: 1

Alarak saves his subtlety for political maneuvering, relying solely on his overwhelming might to defeat the foe in battle.

Starting Proficiencies:
Ranged (1000 OM)
Remote Control (600 OM)
Ranged Materialize (600 OM)

Starting Powers:
Basic Telekinesis (400 OM)
Telepathy (1500 OM)
Starting Moves:

Psionic Push (300 OM, requires ranged, remote control, ranged materialize proficiencies, telekinesis)
With a single fluid motion, similar to a backhanded slap, Alarak throws an enemy up to 5 meters away from him. This distance is dependent on their relative strength, with weaker, smaller foes being sent careening, while those able to rival his own power being merely stalled in their advance, with the effect varying based on their relative ATK and DEF statistics. This does inflict damage, as the opponent is being hit by a substantial psychic force. After using this ability, Alarak requires 5 seconds for his psionic energies to realign before using it again.

4400 OM out of 5000 Spent

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

Re: Changing character: Alarak - Gilgamesh - 11-18-2015

Hi there!

First things first you need to talk about when exactly you were abducted by Omni.

For your move you're going to need to add some major caveats like a cool down after you use it, a fatigue factor, a charge time, or any other drawback in order to get this approved.

Re: Changing character: Alarak - Vulre Oakenlimb - 11-19-2015

Changes have been made.

Re: Changing character: Alarak - Gilgamesh - 11-19-2015

I think that's better but I have one more question.

You define it depending their relative strength but what exactly are referring to that? (Their relative DEF, ATK, SPD, TEC in comparison?)

Re: Changing character: Alarak - Vulre Oakenlimb - 11-19-2015

Once again, changes have been made.

Re: Changing character: Alarak - Gilgamesh - 11-19-2015

Don't do exact things like "defense half of his attack" but more like "people with lower defense get sent out further"

Once you fix that i'll approve you

Re: Changing character: Alarak - Vulre Oakenlimb - 11-19-2015

Edited again.

Re: Changing character: Alarak - Gilgamesh - 11-19-2015

That's good! I'll get you approved...

But ummm I can't seem to find your Purchases Log...if you can link it here or if you don't have one just tell me

Re: Changing character: Alarak - Vulre Oakenlimb - 11-19-2015

My current log is a bastardized abomination animated by a vital spark that knows only fear and terror.

You can either set up a new one and purge the taint, or add further confoundment to Sivo Sigma's log. The horrific monster of paperwork lies in wait for you here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=1877&p=14027&hilit=sivo#p14027
