AKA "There's always a bigger fish": The Game. Or, as I prefer to call it, "Everybody is awful except when they're not".
It's surprisingly fun for a game about blobs floating around trying to screw each other over. We should all go on at some point with our characters as our names and wreck the place, because we're just a swell bunch.
Thoughts? Opinions? PLAY IT. IT'S GOOD. I LIKE IT.

Just Some Regulations: - Please follow all site OOC rules to the letter.
- Format can be whatever you'd like providing that you follow these rules.
- This shouldn't need to be said, but please be respectful and offer positive comments. Negativity in any form is highly discouraged. While pointing out all the errors may seem useful 'to you' it certainly doesn't make that person feel good. There are ways to help someone improve without nitpicking. As a rule of thumb try to have 5 Positives for every 1 Negative (courtesy of resident teacher protoman).
- The above doesn't mean you can't criticize, but there's a way to do it without being negative. For example, make suggestions, don't say something about the topic is 'wrong' or poorly written. Maybe point out a confusing section and suggest revising it for instance, or even offer what you think may have worked better in that situation. Additionally, you could offer to proofread a member's next post for them: be helpful instead. Positive reinforcement will keep people writing and reading here.
- While you're free to develop your own way of critiquing and commenting, I wouldn't recommend making a 'scoring' scale. This isn't competitive and you're not grading topics. Instead, only offer advice and comments in whatever format you wish. Maybe offer directions the Plot can go from there (whether that is into a new topic or not).
- As there is a flat rate of 100 OM for participating, I feel I need to include this: please do not skim, thoroughly read before posting. If you skim, especially the wordy topics, you're likely to miss a lot. In addition, please put actual effort into your written responses. I don't want to have to put up a word count requirement for these; so please don't make me question whether or not you have actually tried to help a fellow member, or if you're just trying to get easy OM.
- OM is a nice incentive but if this starts to be abused, I doubt it will continue to be a reward. Do not abuse this for easy OM. I highlighted that above already, but it deserves a separate bullet. Seriously don't. Please.
- To claim your Book Club bonus, please include a link to your review (along with the text ‘Book Club’) in the active Fortnightly Gains topic.
- These regulations should be copied and pasted into every new Book Club topic (in case I don't do it for some reason).
The Threads!!
So, the new setup to Book Club is different. You are able to review whatever In Character thread/ threads you like. This means whatever story line you are currently reading is eligible and up for review. So go nuts Kids!
"But Minato-sensei-sempai-san-sama-kun, I don't see any threads for me to read!"
I just told you, you can review any In Character threads you want!
"But Elric-san, will I get more OM for reviewing more than one thread?"
No, it's still a flat rate of 100OM per book club.
"Hey, Blondie, can I review my own threads?"
keptic: ... (No)

Step 1: Make a post. This post should be at least 600 words. You may also post multiple times adding up to 600 words or more.
Step 2: Click on the name of your post. See it? It's probably something like 'Re: The Story of John Doe', a large line of text above your post. This should have a hashtag and your post link at the end of it (see the bolded part on the end here: http://omniverse-rpg.com/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=1114&p=7298#p7298). Copy the entire URL from your address bar.
Step 3: Post it in the active fortnightly gains topic. The date of your post should be within the date range, GMT. If you are submitting multiple posts that add up to 600, post all of the links.
Step 4 (optional): If you have posted in the current book club, please include a link to that post along with the text 'book club'.
Step 5 (optional): If you have a Recognition bonus, please include in your post 'Recognition bonus: +50'. If you have an Ascendancy bonus, please post with 'Ascendancy bonus: +100'.
That's all you need to do! When the topic is updated, you will be given 300 OM. Obviously if you have a recognition or ascendancy bonus, this will be increased by 50 or 100. A book club bonus will increase this by a further 100. If no mod has posted at the end of the topic, then it hasn't been updated yet. You do not need to ask "has the thread been updated? I didn't get my OM" every week.
New fortnightly gains topics go up every second Sunday at midnight (at the end of Saturday and the dawn of Sunday) GMT. The valid time begins on Sunday at 0000 hours GMT and ends on Saturday at 2359 GMT.

Here are all of the characters. Ask/ say anything!
Main Characters
Stuart ‘Stu’ Gillman-Street (born May 20, 1995)
Stu has much intelligence in his blue-haired head, though he doesn’t always put it to good use. He likes to joke around- which he does frequently- yet still knows when to be serious and knows how to cheer someone up. Doesn’t stop him from being a snarky so-and-so, though.
Christine ‘Tina’ McDouglass (born June 21, 1995)
Stu’s girlfriend, Tina is a strong independent woman who don’t need no man. Except, she has one, but Stu and Tina see each other as just friends, because they masquerade as a couple for various reasons. Tina jokes around just like Stu, but is a bit more mature. A bit.
Stanley 'Stan' Arinson (born November 19, 1994)
Stan's lack of book smarts are more than made up for in his street smarts. He is much snarkier than Stu, and while he has a huge problem with authority, he can be grounded when he needs/wants to.
Lennon ‘Len’ Nesmith (born July 14, 1995)
A transgender homosexual male, and Stu’s good friend, Len is kind and endearing, yet by no means naïve or unintelligent. He rarely seems to struggle with making time for himself despite devoting a lot of it towards others and is not above poking fun at his friends from time to time.
Julius Adrian 'Jules’ Randall (born January 20, 1995)
Jules is slick, charming and smooth; always respectful and easy-going, yet hides a mound of insecurity (don't we all?) suppressed by daily sessions of meditation usually shared by Sage.
Paige Caulfield (born May 31, 1995)
Paige is the embodiment of liberalism in one Jamaican-Fegensulan package. To her friends, she is as sweet as honey, but get on her bad side and she will tear you apart like a paper shredder.
Braddlye Eicchi 'Sage’ Sage (born 13th October, 1492)
Sage is a vampire with a deep American accent, but is unlikely to 'vant to suck your blahd!’. He is commonly deadpan yet eloquent and has quite a literary tongue, and oftentimes finds himself equally bewildered by and condescending of his friends’ antics. Still, he always tries to do what he thinks is right.
Amadeus Bidus (born(?) ~200,000 BCE)
After nearly dying, Stu’s life was spared by rogue ex-Angel Of Death Amadeus in exchange for a room in his house. Deus is a wild card, hyperactive and borderline psychotic. Never get on his bad side. Ever.
Minor characters
Terry (born November 25, 2017)
Stu and Tina’s pet Yorkshire Terrier. The most important character of all.
Dr Walter Street (born October 21, 1953)
Stuart’s father- a scientist always creating failing or useless contraptions. That is except for CLID, a robot he hides so nobody attempts to steal it.
CLID (created September 18, 2013- November 3, 2019)
The walking (or, rather, wheeling), talking robot created by Prof. Walter Street. And when I say talk, I mean, barely- his text-to-speech unit is constantly dusty, causing him to speak in malapropisms.
Cèvelion 'Cèv' du Péde (born June 19, 1995)
Cèv is an aspiring actor from France who has little street smarts, but is by no means a pushover.
Christopher 'Chris' Shoaver (born August 30, 2005)
Now here's a shrimp with little smarts in anything. Chris, who currently is working a part-time job at Schwecter's Bar and Restaurant, is naïve, weak, spotty, and only knows what he learnt at school. I guess he tries his best.
Satan (born(?) ~200,000 BCE)
A front runner of The Human Post-Death Judicial System, Satan is the Head of the Lower World. He's a little sadistic, but fairly nice.
HUW (born(?) ~200,000 BCE)
HUW (which stands of the Head of the Upper World and is pronounced like Hugh) is essentially God, and a frontrunner of The Human Post-Death Judicial System. He is at peace with all, albeit a little boring.

Character name:
Koren, The Bejeweled Blade
Character source:
Original, image for sword from AQWorlds
Character history:
No one knows the origin or birth of the dimension-hopping sword Koren. All that is known is that in times of need, he appears, helping the soon to be champion of the battle. Once his help is no longer needed and his gems have been collected, he moves on to the next world. Koren has been to Earth multiple times during his history, under a different name each time. The bejeweled blade of Achilles, or the legendary sword Excalibur are a few of these examples. The blade was also briefly used at one point by Axorn's father in the future version of Earth known as Tranquility. As the blade was hopping to the next world that needed his help, he stopped all of a sudden, the universes no longer flying by him. He was pulled into the mysterious world of the Omniverse by Omni.
Physical Description: (originals only)
![[Image: uJ24gpO.png]](http://i.imgur.com/uJ24gpO.png)
Koren is a straight long sword ~130 cm long with a golden hilt that stretches part way up the blade. There are slots in the hilt where each of it's fourteen gems are placed. Five on the front, five on the back, and four at the base of the hilt. Koren cannot currently move on his own and must be carried by another character. As he takes damage, scratches, chips, and and even part of the blade breaking off may occur. To kill him, all his opponent has to do is shatter him.
Stats:
ATK: 5
DEF: 3
SPD: 0
TEC: 2
Starting Proficiencies:

Starting Powers:
Basic Fusion(1000)
Symbiosis(1000)
Telepathy(1500)
Starting Moves:
The Bejeweled Blade(300): Koren itself is a sword with a golden hilt and slots in the hilt for which the gems can be placed.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

I thought of this while walking by my neighbor's house. The guy makes pottery in his garage. Never met him, but as I was walking by, I thought of the artistic relation between writing and pottery.
In other words, for those who weren't able to write for nanowrimo, or just want to participate, here's the very simple prompt:
Write a few paragraphs on how to mold your own vase/pot or other cool artistic craft.
The person who posts below you must read the post above and give a sentence or two of reflection. "I like your voice, it was subtle and the imagery sprung naturally before my eyes." Would be pretty nice.
I'll post mine later, but I would love to read all you guys' unique imaginations. Personally I can see a spinning wheel and the simplistic pressure applied by hands to form the vase, but like everyone's style, I expect some people to even opt for woodwork. Not sure if this is accurate but I could see strazio making a wooden desk or something.
Anyway, enjoy!

Stepping through that gate was a...different experience. Yeah, lets go with that. "Wow, this place is...incredible." I said, my voice hushed in reverence. Green fields heavy with grain stalks, a shining sun. I relished in the feeling of the sun on my face. My horse shook her mane and whinnied with impatience.
"Why you always rushing me?" I asked "You got somewhere you need to be?" I joked, stroking her mane. I chuckled to myself at the thought. I clicked my teeth and gently tugged on the reins once more. "You wanted to move, lets go." I set off on the road, the ground crunching under my feel and that of my horses' hooves.
What really spoke to me though was how similar this was to the fairy-tales Matera used to tell me. Lands with castles, Lords and Ladies, dragons and magic. Always full of adventure and wonder. I grinned excitedly at the thought of an adventure. "I wonder if there will be anyone here..?" I left the thought hanging. Of course there would be someone here. It's the Omniverse. He's probably plucked a lot more people than me from their own worlds.
'Probably has to be someone around here who can tell me something about this place.' I thought, looking around, squinting to see if there was anyone around. For some reason, everything looked empty. "Huh. Whaddya think we should do?" I directed the question to my mount. She started grazing. I sighed, " Stand here for a while it is."
Matera means Mother in ancient Greek.
