I refuse to lose this battle,
Let whatever come my way.
I am stronger then my rival,
No, I will not fall today...
That being said, is there going to be a DA16?
I saw it mentioned in Chat not to long ago, is why I ask.
If there is... >_>
If its going down... Then I got some bad news for quite a few of you...
Top 8 isn't going to be good enough for me. I want first place, and I plan on doing whatever I have to do to get there.
The planning and such is already in my head. I can't help it... Me and The Abyss have a deep rooted connection....

Jade's going to be passing out frogs to all of the people she even remotely likes, for safe-keeping and possibly a personal character arc later on. These frogs are nothing more than little baubles that are basically the Jade Harley Seal of Approval. They hold no sway in combat situations.
Each frog is frozen solid, virtually indestructible, and will become even more frozen if Jade's relationship with a person goes sour. However, the frog will thaw the more she grows to like someone, but only if the friendship is reciprocated.
Do you have suggestions for a frog specific to your character? Give me a name ( EX:// Frog of Frost, Quartz Frog, etc. ), a brief description of the frog, texture of the frog's skin, and a color palette.
If you are unsure of what to make your frog look like, link a palette and I will write a description for you! Also, your frog may be obtained for your Prime character by your Secondaries, and your Secondaries may of course have their own frogs if you so desire.
When our characters meet IC, I will find an occasion to give away a frog! :-)

At first, there was the void.
Pale, lean arms clutched themselves to the child's exposed sides, his malnourished torso shuddering and shivering in the endless void surrounding him. Roughspun fabric, stained and dirtied with mud, clung to undeniably sturdy legs. He unsteadily clambered to his feet, the warmth of life slowly seeping from his mouth as steam filled the frozen air. Rag-wrapped feet cautiously advanced over the abject nothingness of this absurd reality, hazel eyes darting around the infinite emptiness, desperately seeking out a point of stability. There was none. His heart hammered in his broad chest, beating desperately against the disparate ribs of his torso, its all-consuming pulse ever-present. Awkward legs fell over nothingness as the whelp stumbled backwards, skinning deathly pale arms on the harsh surface of unreality. Saline solution leaked from innocent eyes, as the child bleated in heavily accented gothic, crying out in the native tongue of Barbarus for a familiar face, for a coddling caress, to be drowned in weakness.
From the void came creation.
Twisting roots burst forth from where there was once the sentience-annihilating nothingness, coiling around each other in rampant growth, entwining around each other as towers of wood soared towards the presumed sky, piercing the infinite darkness. Sobbing cries echoed throughout the freshly summoned world, a lone babe clinging to the byzantine network of plant matter leagues above the hypothetical forest floor. Burgeoning buds, the leafy spear-tips of sharpened shafts, sprouted from the mighty arboreum, vorpal-edged vegetation slicing at the calloused palms of the youth, his grip failing as his limbs flailed helplessly below him. A piteous scream began as new growth began to pierce the whelp's palm, burrowing into already hardened flesh. His grip failed, hard-worn digits failing as his endless fall began.
A hand seemingly carved from marble clasped around the child's wrist, hauling the youth into the air, as a statuesque figure, the gene-scultped physique like that of an ancient Terran god, snow-white skin yet unmarred by scars. As the whelp looked into his own face, the Demigod growled. "Sometimes, I forget you're dead."
Reality warped, shifted, changed once more. His scythe cut through the chaff, the iron blade severing stems as it parted the ever-present fog. It sung a simple song of labour as it claimed its toll from the crop, carving out life from this realm of death. Perhaps his life would have been like this, until the walkers claimed him.
The fateful day came sooner than he had hoped.
Pallid, rotten beings that not longer deserved to be human shambled out of the shrouding fog. The distant cries of the elders could be heard as they scrambled to organize a defense, but it was useless. After all, this was Okor's struggle. Ectoplasmic wraiths drifted at the edge of his vision, ancient warriors fighting and dying to protect a home that fell to dust ten millennia ago. His own scythe swung, lopping a still-moving limb from a lumbering corpse, succeeding in little more than distracting it long enough for an arrow to enter its eye socket. The curved blade took on an erratic life of its own, momentum carrying it in a twirling arc of destruction.
That is, until his sole hope of survival lodged in a ribcage, doing little more than impairing the monster's movement. Terror welling in his untempered soul, the child ran, rag-wrapped feet slapping against the blood-stained earth as the darkness closed in. Shadows slithered ever-closer, seeking the warmth of his life, entwining around his ankles before they broke under his panicked flight, ethereal fetters falling like shredded parchment, its immaterial substance burning away into nothing as it was denied existence.
He threw himself into the wreckage of a shrine, the trio of circles marking its affiliation unfamiliar. The ragged remnants of villagers laid strewn about the simple place of worship, crimson rivers staining the once-hallowed ground. Weak whimpering emanated from the rusted altar in the center of the carnal house, a slight figure pressing a frail hand against a ragged rent in her side.
His Sister.
She cried, wept, begged in the guttural tongue of his people for him to save her, to take her from this place of pain.
His monster.
It placed an armoured hand on his shoulder, pressing a broken piece of masonry into his hand as it growled into his ear. "She'll bring them here. If they don't take the both of you, she'll rise, hungry for... Flesh and Blood." Fetid breath wafted over his face, adding another reason for his tears. "There's only one way to survive. She'll wake them." He pointed a claw, almost a mirror of the walker's own, towards the mauled corpses. "It would be a... Mercy. End her. Save us." It insisted, a malevolent, blazing eye burning itself into his retinas. He raised the jagged hunk of rock over the young girl's head, the whispers of the damned urging him onward to violence and his condemnation. The mist-shrouded sun illuminated the stone, framing it at the apex of its murderous arc.
And then, he stopped.
"What are you doing? She will be our end!" Shouted the Daemon hovering over his shoulders, necrotic claws passing through his torso. He shivered, the ice-cold touch of the beast seeking his soul, rather than his flesh. "This is how you survived! This is how we were born!" It gripped his throat, shouting into his tear-streaked visage. "Either she dies, or both of you! Claim her, and be reborn! You will walk the st-"
He dropped the stone, its pitted surface clattering against the masonry as all sound died.
That is, save for the hateful scream of the Neverborn, iridescence streaming into its blighted frame, forcing it into a shimmering portal, chains of light forcing back the darkness. It still screeched lies at him, promising a symbiosis that would save him from this reality. He no longer listened, smiling as the tableau of atrocities began to fade, as the familiarity of home began to creep back into vision, freeing him from this awful, eternal dream.

As Tartaros angrily tried in vain to tear his way through the wreckage, his vision slowly faded, to be replaced with only a single image in his mind... The blazing figures of hundreds, thousands of men, women and xenos alike, charging headfirst through darkness into a black abyss. No heed of their own lives, shouting prayers and battle-cries whilst flinging themselves towards the advancing tendrils of the dark. Yet, with each light that faded away, the abyss was driven back further... After what seemed like hours, the pitch-coloured darkness was left a minuscule shadow of itself, and the burning figures faded as they uttered a final cry.
"De tenebris lucem! De tenebris lucem! Nobis non enim timemus!"
-----
"Argh!"
Greeted by a disturbed spasm and the all too familiar feeling of cold sweat dripping down his face, the Astartes awoke to find a familiar, knitted face obnoxiously grinning on the sterile white ground. He was back in the Nexus, back to the beginning...
"Took ya long enough, big guy. Must have really taken a beating from that kid to end up back here. Could walk to the arena and back with how long you been out."
Tararos rubbed his newly-burned face in a mix of pain and confusion. "Oh... it's just you. Yeah, little bastard really wanted to make sure I stayed down. Was sly about it too, trying to act all innocent and scared."
The puppet let out a short, shrill laugh, not entirely dissimilar to the whooping of a gibbon. "Hah... Well, life's a bitch sometimes."
Shrugging, the marine's mouth twisted into a small half-smile, "All too true, all too true..."
"So, the hell we heading to now?", the sock-monkey leaped onto his shoulder, "suckas need to be taught a lesson 'bout messing with us! Let's move!"
Leaning against the Fountain, Tartaros looked across the vast wasteland of marble that was the Nexus. Nothing but white for miles around. Nothing seemed to change around here... The only sounds were of footsteps in the distance, the only smell was one of icy stone, even the dust gently falling to the ground simply... evaporated. There was only peace.
Reaching into his bag, the Tartaros spoke again. "Hrm... you know what? We could just stay here a while.", eventually, he pulled out a single grey plastic dataslate, "And besides, I have something I'd like to check."
"Dammit man... Fine.", the puppet whined, "But can ya make it quick? I got a few... erm... wagers I'd like to keep up on."
"Right, if it'll shut you up for a moment.", Tartaros grumbled, tapping the device's screen.
The dataslate began to whir for a moment, before bursting to life. The man dragged his index finger across the screen, clumsily attempting to navigate the depths of the Dataverse. "I swear... there should be some coverage of that tournament around here..."
"A-ha! Found it!", searching a page of brackets, Tartaros found only two names he recognized. The Bandit With No Name and a one Okor Paleblood. "Well I'll be damned", he said with an amused tone in his voice, "she got him..."
Just as the Astartes began to pass the device towards his companion, a strange beep came from its speaker. Drawing his eyes back to the screen, Tartaros found a single, bright pop-up in its center, with the image of a smiling yellow face on it. Underneath the strange icon were two sentences, in white block capitals. A line saying "Pesteromni - The Brand New Program For All Your Messaging Needs!" above it, and a button saying "Install now." below it. Out of pure curiosity, the man pressed the latter.

| Vale Café? Not quite! |

It was a warm and sunny day in Vale as Blake sat at an outdoor table, in a café. They had visited it before, which was why they had chosen it to be their meeting place for today. In all simplicity, the two of them intended to exchange information they had gained about their missing teammates. Yang was supposed to arrive any moment now, but, knowing Yang, the Faunus wouldn’t be surprised even if she would run a bit late. As it was, Blake took a sip of her tea, returning her gaze to the book in her hand for now.
It had been a rough year. First Ruby, their team leader and Yang’s younger sister had disappeared from her bed without so much as a trace, and later on, Weiss had left them, and later disappeared as well. The two were desperate and they knew it, but what other choice did they have? Leave their friends and family and abandon their search? Blake knew her partner would never be able to abandon her sister, knowing how their past had winded up being.. And Blake… Well, Blake didn’t want to abandon those, whom had accepted her as she was, despite her Faunus heritage. Those people, were good people as well as her team.
Lifting her gaze from the book, the black haired girl directed her gaze at the crowd once more, this time spotting the bright yellow, flowing hair approaching her. Lifting her hand in a greeting, Blake was about to call out to the other. Ya…. Thunk Her speech cut short as she could feel something impact on the back of her head, feeling how her body began to fall, as her vision faded into the darkness, and the sounds disappeared.
-------------------------------------------
Darkness. How fitting, the girl thought to herself, chuckling how it seemed to be her colour. But in darkness, there was a light. A bright one at that too. Blake’s pupils shrunk instinctively, adjusting into the darkness much like that of a feline’s. Now that her eyes had adjusted, the girl could make out a figure in the darkness, a white one at that. She tried to ask her question out loud, only to find out she wasn’t able to do so, the desire to do so remaining only a thought ‘Weiss?’ However, her thought was not given an answer, before waves crashed against her consciousness, a voice echoing in her mind.
Quote:”My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”
Omniverse? Rules? Wait wait wait, had she been somehow captured, transported into a different universe? Was this the same that had happened to Ruby and Weiss..? But… Yang..! Instantly, soul crushing weight landed upon the faunus, as she thought the possibility, that she might just have disappeared right before her partner’s eyes, unable to tell her in any way, what had happened. And then, their one sided communication continued.
Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."
Omnilium? Tying the universe together? Achieving whatever she desired the most? What she desired was so painstakingly simple though! She wanted her friends and team back! Yang! Ruby! Weiss! The dark haired girl desired for nothing more, even if she was the silent one of them.
Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.”
She wouldn’t die in this universe? Instead being reborn? ...Would there be Grimm? Or was this simply a hell of somekind? Alternate universe? So many unanswered questions coursed through the woman’s mind with hyper speed, and none of them were given answers, would she have to find her own answers..? Then again seeking her own path was nothing new to Blake, considering how she had left White Fang in the past.
Quote:“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
And so, Blake’s consciousness faded once more, filled with unanswered questions.
-------------------------------------------
Blake could feel her consciousness slowly returning to her, as light began to shrine through her closed eyelids. Letting out a mild groan, the girl brought her arm to block some brightness, as her eyes adjusted once more, finding that she was laying on the ground. On cobblestone, to be exact. Before her eyes, was a...table leg? the girl decuced as she cast her eyes upwards, and found herself greeted by the bottom of the table.
With feline-like agility, the girl made it onto her feet, glancing around her. It was the café she had just been in… With the exception that this time, she was alone. No people, no Yang…. Yang! Mentally slapping herself, the Faunus spun into action, making her way to the inside of the cafe, raising her voice a little as she called out “Yang..? …..Anyone?” She was given no response, although she received a flashback of what she had just witnessed.. Omniverse? She was in a different universe..? But why.. did it still look the same, then? But without all the people?
Finally, Blake took note of how her own clothing seemed the same still. Still the white shirt, black vest and purple, gradient leggings. But something was lacking. The weight on her back, that she had learned to know and trust, wasn’t there. Gambol Shroud was missing. The girl pondered in her mind if she could easily re-obtain it, taking note of the words, that anything she wanted, could be hers.. But for now, it was better to secure her surroundings first. If she would have to research how this world worked, exactly, she didn’t want to be caught off guard by Grimms, or whatever monsters this world might hold. Taking a route around the cafe, the feline noted that there was nothing except whiteness around it, with an occasional dot somewhere far away in the distance. As she did so, the girl tested her pockets, she found out her Scroll wasn’t there anymore either.
Quote:Author’s note: Scrolls are the tablet-like phone things they use.
She had been mapping her surroundings for a perhaps five minutes, before she returned to where she had originally started from; The front of the cafe. Except, that this time something was different. There was someone sitting at one of the tables, hunched over. With haste, Blake ran towards the figure. How could she not recognize the partner she had had for years now, instantaneously.
“Yang? Yang!” she called as she ran, in only a few seconds reaching the other, gently shaking her partner by the shoulders. “Yang? Yang…?” she asked again, a mildly panicked tone starting to settle within her voice. How had she ended up here? Was she even alive? Had her wish to reunite their team brought Yang here as well? “Yang please..” the faunus whispered, wrapping her arms around the other, simply holding her there as she hoped the other would wake up. After all to Blake, Yang was something much more than just a teammate, partner, or even a dear friend.
