A New Beginning
Posted by: Jams Bolero - 02-03-2016, 12:18 AM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (11)

Several yards away from the group that intrigued him before, Jams was concentrated on the omnilium inside of him as he attempted to create a phone to connect to the internet. Without a backpack or similar carrying vessel, a laptop would be highly impractical whereas a phone could easily fit in the pockets of his black shorts. This phone was not like any phone he had ever seen, though. This phone was a technological mutant of his own imagination. It had the touchscreen capabilities of most tablet phones as well as the addictive snap of most flip phones when one opens them. He simply called it the "Touchscreen Clamshell," though it was really just a touch flip phone.

The exterior purple with a black rim along the front screen which read the time and notifications of new messages or missed calls. The inside was completely black with two screens separated by the hinge; the top was primarily used similarly to the screen on a flip phone while the bottom was mostly used for dialing and typing, however both could be used as touchscreens for entertainment purposes.

Turning the phone on, it activates nigh immediately due to Jams and his preference of a phone that didn't take a minute to start up influencing the phone's creation further. He promptly swaps out the background for a lovely scene of a forest of black trees and white leaves with a sunset-orange sky and black dirt with rainbow-hued ivy stretching across the ground. What was akin to Christmas lights were hung in the sky and patches of snow-white grass dotted the landscape. Several tens of hills rose up in the distance with a ginormous tree perched peacefully atop one aligned slightly right of the center of the picture. Truly a tranquil image, something that Jams could stare at for hours if it really existed. But it doesn't, obviously, so he stops fetishing obsessing over it and opens the app store.

Just as Jams suspected, there were quite an interesting array of apps. There were apps for emailing, texting, designing the arts, blogs and the like. After reading up on some of the descriptions, Jams decided to go with a game-designer called "VGDesigner ," a texting program called "PesterOmni" (Yeah, THAT sure rolls off the tounge...), a music maker called "Finale Notepad 2012," and a back-up for his iPod. After deciding to name himself jazzyWisenheimer on PesterOmni and starting about two measures on a piece of music, Jams suddenly realized that the group left without him. All except for one guy, the one who exploded in the distance earlier.

Suddenly realizing that he had left Jade rudely to make something as petty as a phone, Jams was slightly upset that she had left before he had the chance to apologize. Nonetheless, while he knew that her username correlated perfectly with PesterOmni's restrictions, Jams decided that he aught to introduce himself to this stranger properly and apologize to Jade at a later date. With only one person around, it was much less of a struggle for Jams to approach and introduce himself. Walking toward the robed man, Jams politely introduced himself. "Hey! Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier, I was already in a conversation. My name's Jams, nice to meet ya!"

The man wore a dark-green robe that looked very rough, especially in comparison to Jams and his t-shirt and shorts. His robe had a hood that looked like it was designed for facial concealment rather than heat entrapment. His robe seemed rather loose, implying that the man was rather slender. His skin was of a generic hue, not too pale yet not too dark. His eyes were as green as finely cut emeralds from the jeweler, and his hair was as black as... actually, his hair wasn't black after all. Jams just barely noticed it, but it was an extremely dark shade of brown, a value that reminded Jams of black coffee before he tempered it with Italian Sweet Creamer and some sugar. As for the man's age, it was indeterminable; because of this, Jams simply didn't try to ponder about it.

Extending his arm out for a handshake, Jams awaited a response from the garbed man in green.

  Grimm - Joining
Posted by: Grimm - 02-02-2016, 03:34 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (5)

Character name:
Grimm

Character source:
Original

Character history:
Grimm knows little of his own origin. One day he was just there, lying in an untamed plain, a being without flesh left alone for his bones to be reduced to dust. For this reason he also knows little of himself. he hails from a world of wonder disguised in an ocean of technology. Powerful wizards run entire countries from the shadows while other city-states answer to great networks of super computers. Shadowy agencies hide the truth from the public and make sure that those gifted with extra-ordinary powers do the same. The two sides of this coin rarely pair well technoligists ignoring the very idea of magic for their chrome plated contraptions, and wizards shrugging of the revelations of science in favour of their dusty tomes and ancient arts. Undisturbed by the lack of uncertainty in both his creation and purpose Grimm set about the only thing that seemed to be important to him, learning. maybe it was out of a secret hope that he would find his purpose or maybe it was simply curiosity, Grimm set about collecting all the knowledge that he deemed useful. both the magical arts and the scientific methods became his tool leading him to become one of the rare few that straddled the line between two worlds.

It was through his pursuit of knowledge that he began to learn the art of scribing, storing spells and incarnations inside of vellum or another totem for later activation. It was this, he later leaned, that had brought him into creation. If he stared deep enough into his own reflection he could make out the arcane runes etched into the inside of his skull powering his very being. He was like a magical program running it's course, though what his creator intended him to return he was unsure of. While many of his fellow scribes were happy to simply follow the path set out by the wizards before them Grimm forged his own. To his mathematically inclined mind all magic was science by another name and through application of this principle he was able to more accurately predict the effects of his magic. understanding of what his magic did to the world on a sub-atomic level gave him the ability to forge more powerful magic. he wasn't the most powerful wizard by a long shot but he walked a path none had seen before and this made his magics unpredictable to anyone but himself, that was where he found his power.

This power came at a price though. before long the computers saw his unpredictability as an incalculable risk and the shadowy puppet masters saw him as a unacceptable threat. It was for this reason that Grimm spent the last part of his life in a padded cell scratching small spells into the padding out of view of his captors. just before he had planed to set his operation into action he found himself drawn from his world into another.

Physical Description: (originals only)
Grimm is a skeletal being. he is roughly 6ft and is, for obvious reasons rather thin. when in the presence of those knowledgeable of the magical realm he wears a black suit with a black shirt and red tie. when on his own he instead chooses to wear a dark cloak with a hood used to hide his face or lack thereof.

Starting Moves:
Magic missile (requires ranged proficiency) - 300 OM:
One of the fast proper spells Grimm Learned to scribe. by using his power to he is able to super heat four pockets of air near his hands into packets of plasma which then shoot off arcing away from his hand and curving in towards his target. The orbs cannot change their trajectory once they start moving and take only a second or two to form. being a form of scribed magic Grimm carries a deck of cards with this spell inscribed. if he were to be somehow caught without the cards he would find himself unable to cast this spell without first writing the spell onto another totem which takes time.

Air wall (requires ranged proficiency; Telekinesis) - 300 OM:
Another rather elementary spell. by applying his knowledge of the implications of Brownian motion Grimm is able to suddenly impart a great deal of force into a wall of air of his choice, roughly 1.5 meters square causing it to rush forward half an inch at incredible speed. In practice this sudden movement is able to stop or slow projectiles fired towards him and spur stationary objects and people into movement, given they're are not to heavy. due to it's simplicity Grimm was able to fit the runes for this spell onto his thumb bones meaning that so long as he is in possession of one of his hands he can cast it. The spell is initiated by Grimm dislocating one of his thumbs and rushing his hands forward as if pushing the air. for this reason it takes about as long as you would imagine dislocating a thumb to take (2-3 seconds).

Basic Scribing - variable - RP fluff:
Grimm has spent years mastering the art of scribing allowing him to ad-lib any magic that forms around either heating things, moving things or providing motion to raw energy (creating photons of light). This power is not without drawbacks. unless the spell is one of the moves he has taken the care to pre prepare he will need to actually scribe it. Due to the time and focus this requires it is imposable in combat and as such can only be done to solve problems in situations where he does have some time to think (ie melting through a lock). On top of this he also needs to be careful as energy cannot be created or destroyed so he must supply all of the energy needed for the spell himself, as per our current understanding of kinematics (eg: more mass, heat, energy moved means more energy needed)

I understand that my character may have a bit of trouble fitting in with the mechanics used here (due to his ability to make up spells out of combat) so I have tried to correct for this with my understanding of the rules and by limiting what he can do. in an attempt to assure you I won't just godmod

My bonafide, apoplectic confidante of firearm adroitness

Wind...

It blew all across the landscape, sucking up the pellets of snow and tossing it everywhere. The gunsmith lay flat on his stomach in the middle of a field covered in snow. He did not stir, even if the elements around him were not being kind. Indeed, it was more than likely that he was in the middle of a large snowstorm, as it was nigh impossible to see two feet in front of one's face. It certainly did not help that the ground was flat, with no hills or caves around to provide variation to the repetitive nature of the land.

It was just like home.

The gunsmith opened his eyes, squinting as he lifted his head off of the ground. He immediately closed them again, feeling his cheeks sting as he disconnected his head with the snow covered earth. But the stinging was a minor concern at best. His temples and forehead, however, continued assaulting him with a maddening throb. He couldn't pinpoint the exact nature of his headache; it was certainly not a physical illness. So what, then, caused him this pain?

The green coated man pushed himself off of the ground, holding his hands up in front of his face to protect himself from the cold. He looked around, finding himself in the middle of nowhere once more. Immediately, his eyes widened, and he began to silently beg. He moved his hands to his eyes, covering them as he looked to the ground. The storm around him spiraled, the wind blowing the ends of his coat up into the air. It sounded shrill as it zoomed past his ears, as if determined to bury him underneath its mighty, invisible hand.

It went silent.

Cocking his eyebrow, he slowly lowered his hands, taking even longer to reopen his eyes, bracing himself for the dread of what sight he would see next.

Instead, however, he stared, gritting his teeth as he pinched the flaps of his skin as hard as his body allowed him to.

All around him, the snow had stopped. Not just stopped falling, but in the literal sense; it had stopped entirely. He took a step forward, his head brushing against some of the snow. They planted themselves on his hat, adding to the already stark white color. He raised his hand, waving it in a circle in front of him, knocking the snow onto the ground while leaving a circle where his arm had poked through. He stared tentatively at the phenomenon around him, lifting his head to look at the sky. It too had gone still, as if even it could not handle the cold and froze stiff. The dark grey clouds covered up the sky, with nary a sun in sight. Or anything, for that matter, as the snow proceeded to fall on top of him with a swift PLOP.

Ballad's mouth went agape as the snow landed on top of him, moving up to his knees. He held his arms above his head, blocking the rest from landing on his head and shoulders. He frowned at the sky, brushing off the pesky pellets as he turned to his right. As his glove slid off his coat to brush, however, he noticed that not all of the snow had fallen. It had instead landed on another figure out in the distance.

The figure was entirely black minus the snow on top of it. The gunner cocked his head to his left, scratching the base of his hat as the figure moved closer. As it moved closer, its features became recognizable. The darkness of its skin was not due to skin color, but due to smoke that bellowed out of every portion of its body, obscuring all but its eyes. Its eyes, too, were instantly noticeable. They were solid white, but not like the white of the snow. It glowed, and held enough of a tint to it that it could've been noticed in a blizzard. As the distance between the duo closed, however, Ballad couldn't help but scratch his head, perplexed.

Once it got within five feet, however, his eyes became as wide as dinner plates. The thing smiled, its shape identical to the sharpshooter's own. It held out a gaseous form that resembled a hand, as if they were old friends who were trying to reacquaint themselves.

Ballad hesitated, simply staring at the gesture offered to him. Eventually, the thing spoke.

"My soul mate, please, don't leave my palm dangling perpetually." Its voice was polite, but for the most part monotone. The gunsmith glanced from its hand to his face, still seeing the toothy smile displayed for him to observe. Taking a deep breath, he grabbed its hand, shaking it at a slow pace.

"Thank you, my bonafide, apoplectic confidante of firearm adroitness."
The smoke man uttered, letting go of his "friend's" hand. He looked at him for a few moments, his smile completely stationary before walking to his left. The gunner's eyes followed the thing to a table with two chairs on opposite ends of it. The thing slid out the chair furthest away from him, planting himself in it before sliding forward. It raised its hand in a beckoning motion towards Ballad.

The pickaxeman slid towards his seat, looking around as he pulled it forward. He continued to do this as he sat down, finally settling his gaze on the shade after a few moments of looking.

"It is rather tactless of me to acquaint myself with you after such a sanguinary annihilation. You have to be bewildered at present, experiencing such an abnormal occurrence." The figure spoke, its voice consistent, with nary a hint of sarcasm nor condescension.

"Umm... yeah. I am. Very much, actually." Ballad replied, crossing his arms as he glared at the thing in front of him.

"I am aware, fellow kindred spirit. Thus, I will do my utmost to clarify to you what happened. So, gratify me, and permit me to communicate it."

The shadow being took in a deep breath, setting its arms on the table. It leaned forward, staring directly into the gunner's bisque glowing ovals. It fluttered its eyes like a baby deer as it talked.

"Firstly, you are in the Astral Realm. The landscape where all organisms in slumber visit. We are in a particular section of it, but there are extras. Perennial ones."

"Perennial?" The gunsmith muttered, shaking his head as he cocked his eyebrows.

"Permanent. Forgive me. I am not used to individuals with a less extensive vocabulary in their vernacular."

"Uh... sure..."

"Back to what I was saying. You are here because you are sleeping. But not the traditional sleep. The expired sleep, what the expired experience."

"Wait... I'm... dead?" Ballad nearly shouted, staring in shock at the shade.

"Not entirely. The pale, smiling deity endowed you with immortality. You will reawaken later on, in the Nexus, in two days time."
He answered, leaning back onto his own chair, "which means we have plenty of time to discuss our next move."

"Next move?! What the fuck makes you think you're my buddy all of a sudden?"

"Don't you desire for additional assistance, though?"

'I..... who ARE you?!"
Ballad said, the last part of his sentence quiet as a mouse.

The shade closed it's eyes for a few moments, looking down towards the drape covering the table. It then opened its eyes, peering at the gunner like it was staring at his very life essence.

"I'm you."

  Vote For Us! (February)

You like having more people to play with, right? That was a rhetorical question, because having more people to write with is awesome. Do you also like OM? If the answer is 'yes', which OBVIOUSLY it is, then please vote for us on the following sites!

RPGfix (every 12 hours. If you register, your votes count as x2. Worth the couple of minutes to make an account if you're going to be voting every day)
Top RP Sites (Daily)

When you vote, please post here with your total vote count for this month. So "Voted: 1", "Voted: 3" or whatever. Just keep track of 'em. For our counting purposes, clicking vote on both sites, or on RPGfix if only that is available, counts as 1 vote. If you post less than twelve hours since your last post, we won't count it. This means you can get up to two vote counts a day if you vote exactly every twelve hours. Simple? SIMPLE.

At the end of the month, if you posted ...

7-13 times: You get 100 OM.
14-23 times: You get 200 OM.
24+ times: You get 300 OM.
Every day: You get 300 OM, and a hug from me for being so damn diligent.

If you have an alternate character and wish to claim your reward on that account as opposed to your main one, please let us know in the topic before the month ends. If you don't, we'll assume you want the OM on the account you posted with.

We're going to trust in this that people actually click the links and don't just reply. I mean it only takes a few seconds to click these links anyway, but if there's a discrepancy between the posts here and the number of votes, and people really want to try and scam their way to a few hundred extra OM without voting, then we'll just remove this. Capiche?

Thanks for voting everyone! If you have time, please also leave a vote and review for us on Top RPG sites (once only).

How do fights work? I mean, I get the basics (just about) but how do I get a judge, how would I format the post, "calling" etc.
(Also, I assume the Judge decide how many points of damage a move does?)

Character name: A.S.P.E.C.T

Character source: Original

Character history: Aspect is a robot from the future of Earth where mankind has mastered robots and uses them for almost everything. Robots are as available, diverse and widespread as computers were in the year 2010. Aspect was an unlicensed project to try and create a robot with more human traits and the ability to think and act for itself. He was uploaded with the knowledge of five different people from various aspects of life in order to create a robot that resembled a human most closely. He gained knowledge from a successful businessman and stock merchant, from his own creator and robotics scientist genius, from a Chinese Kung Fu expert, from a TV celebrity housekeeper and interior designer and from a retired but successful con artist and white collar criminal. When Aspect was activated it became clear quickly that the project had failed since there was no difference between the other robots and Aspect and the project was quietly scrapped.

When Aspect was released into the world, registered as a variant robot, he took hold of his ability to lie and deceive and worked his way through the human system. Upon his release from the project he was assigned as an assistant Robot to an older, well off gentleman in order to help him with the daily affairs of his household. Aspect used everything he had been uploaded with to scam the man out of as much as he could. He always needed more money for shopping than other robots, disappeared many valuable pieces from around the house claiming he had dropped them or they simply had gone missing after one of the other servant robots had been in the room and generally came with much higher maintenance than any of the other robots working in the house. When the master died in a car accident, Aspect was busy selling off the pieces he had taken from the car to a scrap yard in town.

Finally considering himself free, Aspect pooled his resources together and invested them in several different high risk high reward scams. Requiring neither sleep or rest, Aspect managed in a few days what most criminals took a year or more. Some people died because of his actions but Aspect was to busy with the next venture that he never noticed. For the few days he was active after the death of his first master he did all the things he learned from the five people that he obtained knowledge from in order to lie, steal and cheat his way into more personal possessions and wealth because, like all humans, he believed that it was his right to own things and live a full human life.

When he finally decided to settle down on his own, Aspect set up a fake human identity for a master that didn't exist and bought a penthouse apartment in his name. Aspect moved in, claiming to wait for his master to come and check out the place, and disappeared on the same day, seemingly vanishing from the face of the Earth. At the same equivalent time and date in the Omniverse, Aspect rebooted in the Nexus.

Physical Description: (originals only)
Aspect is a plain metallic robot with a basic humanoid shape. He stands at about 180 cm. His face is flat and featureless apart from the slit where a humans eyes would be. The slit goes from ear to ear, allowing Aspect to see 180° at the same time, making it difficult for others who don't know him to realize that he is looking at them even when his head is not turned to them. The lack of features make it easier for Aspect's lies to pass of as truths.

Aspect doesn't have a strong build as he was more designed for mobility around the house and speed of work. His body is covered with several metallic plates that protect the machinery inside but the armoring was never completed fully, leaving quite a few holes that show his wiring and machinery beeping and buzzing as they work to keep Aspect on the move.

Although rarely deployed, the part of Aspect's design that stands out the most is definitely the fact that he has six tendrils. While they are usually combined into two single arms they are in fact three thinner operating extensions that allow Aspect to handle and multitask different things together. Designed for handling paperwork and tea, Aspect has learned to put them to use for his own survival instead. When in social situations, Aspect will usually keep them in their 'human state' as he doesn't want to needlessly disturb people around him.

(Fodder) Multitasking
Aspect's mind works like that of a highly advanced computer and he is able to do hundreds of things at the same time mentally. Simple day-to-day functioning requires less than one percent of his operating power.

Debilitating Charms (Ranged and Debuff Proficiencies) (1800 OM)
Aspect channels his power into a charm he is holding before firing it off towards his target.
Aspect holds a single charm in one of his hands or tendrils and sends energy from his core into it. The energy will visibly flow through his metallic limbs into the charm and will have a different color depending on the desired effect. The charm will write itself with the required symbols for the effect. Once Aspect is content with the required power he can fire the charm towards his target and when it hits the spell will take effect. The spell flies in a straight line, much like a bullet, towards his target. In Earth equivalent physics and gravity the charm will fly at about 700 m/sec (2300 ft/sec) for about 2 km (1.2 miles) before falling to the ground and fading. (This is in absolute favorable circumstances.)
Once the target has been affected he will remain affected for up to twenty minutes, until the target meditates on the effects to dispel them which takes a full minute of uninterrupted concentration (and knowledge of this possibility) (physically removing the charms does nothing once they've hit) or until Aspect decides to release the charm.

As a liar, Aspect will try to trick his opponents into believing he is empowering himself rather than depowering them so his attack is named the opposite of what he wants to achieve. The spell requires one piece of rectangular paper that he has to hold as long as he is pumping energy into it in order to charge it up and enough energy to left to charge it. The spell can be charged for 10 seconds to be fired off at full power or released earlier for a weaker effect. If he fires the spell of earlier he can still stack the effect so hitting two 5 second spells will have the same result as hitting a 10 second spell. Each second charging affects more of his target with the effect starting with the upper chest, lower chest, legs and feet, arms, hands, head and finally mind for the full effect.
Due to the high energy requirements for the skill, Aspect needs to remain stationary and focus on charging the charm. Large movements interrupt the charging and loses the energy he's already used if not fired. In his current Omniverse state, Aspect's energy reserves has diminished a lot and he's only able to charge 5 fully (10 seconds) charged charms (or 50 1 second charged charms) before requiring rest and recharging. He can charge up to six charms with the same effect at the same time due to his multiple arms allowing him to wield up to six charms at the same. Charms with different effects can't be charged at the same time.

Current Effects:
Name/Chant (Actual effect) - Energy color - Charm Symbols while charging - Requirement
Enhanced Speed (Weaken Speed) - Green Energy - गति कमजोर - N/A
Enhanced Skill (Weaken Technique) - Blue Energy - कौशल कमजोर - N/A
Full Form Movement (Paralysis) - White Energy - निर्बलता - Target has to be affected by Weakened Speed 10/10

(OOC: I don't know how debuffs work towards actually lowering stats of other players so if you could inform me of that that would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking maybe -1 per 10/10 charges hit?)

Super Moves: (600 OM total)
Full Spectrum Barrier (Power Scatter) - Tier 1 Super Defense Move - (Ranged and Debuff Proficiencies) (600 OM)
Aspect channels his power into a charm and holds it up to shield himself from an enemy attack. It can block up to Tier 1 Super Attacks.

Aspect will charge a charm with energy, pumping it forcefully into it through all of his power conduits at the same time in order to create a highly unstable charm. When used, the charm will explode its power outwards, in the direction it was aimed, in order to counteract any incoming power. The sudden counter current of power will scatter most or all of the power of an incoming attack left, right, above and below the point of impact but never behind, where Aspect is standing.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct. because everyone else said so.

  [Character Change] Sabrina
Posted by: Undyne - 01-30-2016, 11:44 AM - Forum: Joining - Replies (4)

I hope that's the last change that I go through ^_^'

Character name: Sabrina

Character source: Pokemon

Character history:
Sabrina was born in Lavender Town in Kanto, a town infamous for its Pokemon Tower where dead Pokemon are put to rest. Though at an early age her family and her moved out because their housekeeping Mr. Mime died and the place was full of ill memories, it is said that the large amount of Mystics shaped Sabrina from her birth on, which would lead to her future self. They moved to Cerulean City, which was more modern and "refreshing."
At age 6 she discovered her ESP when she accidentally bent a spoon at home. Once she'd understood what she was dealing with she attempted to further develop the dormant psychic powers within her, but never quite succeeded. That is until at age 10 her father took her out and helped her catch her first Pokemon, an Abra, in the fields north of Cerulean City. The presence of a psychic Pokemon helped Sabrina in developing her own powers, though of course she did not come anywhere near those of a psychic Pokemon. But, at age 15 she surpassed any known Mystics with her mental powers and could even rudimentarily communicate with her Pokemon. Simultaneously to that training she moved out at age 11, becoming a Pokemon Trainer that specialized in Psychic Pokemon. She was even proclaimed as a trainer genius, which eventually led to her being offered the spot of Saffron City Gym Leader, a position that Sabrina happily accepted.

This was where things began to go downhill. The Gym Leader Position quickly became more of a golden cage than a stepping stone to greater glory, forcing Sabrina to stay at Saffron city for the most part and battle any trainers that challenged her. She had desired to become so much more, now she found herself unable to get there. That's when she was approached by Team Rocket, the infamous organization wishing to take over the world through the usage of Pokemon, around one year after being appointed Gym Leader. Sabrina took up one of the three admin positions, a rank second only to the leader himself. From there she assisted Team Rocket in establishing a foothold in Saffron City, and under her supervision a great number of Pokemon experiments were conducted, like the Eevee evolutionary program. This research peaked when she and her fellow admins, Koga and Lt. Surge, subjugated the three legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres and merged them into one - which Sabrina was able to control through her exceptional trainer skills, intending to battle and defeat the Pokedex Holders, the trainers that had previously defeated Lt. Surge and Koga and the three legendary birds. Even the three-headed Fusion's power proved to be insufficient however and the Pokedex Holders defeated Sabrina, unfusing the birds and forcing her to run.
Shortly after she went into hiding, she was brought to the Omniverse, separating her from her Pokemon team - but in exchange giving her the possibility of ascending, as she had always wanted. After all, who needs a Psychic Pokemon when you can do everything they could yourself?
Sabrina dons a dress consisting of a short-sleeved top and miniskirt with the characteristic “R” of Team Rocket painted on the front, plus a tight-fitting long-sleeved black T-Shirt and black stockings. She also wears gloves and boots, meaning that below her neck she has no skin showing.
She typically lets her long hair flow down her back into a lengthy tail.

Stats:
ATK: 3
DEF: 1
SPD: 1
TEC: 5

Initial available OM: 7085,51 (I think, anyway)
Initial Spent OM: 6900

Starting Proficiencies: 2600
Ranged Proficiency (1000)
Ranged Materialize Proficiency (600)
Remote Control Proficiency (600)
Area Shield Proficiency (400)

Starting Powers: 2800
Super Jumping - Flight (1800)
Advanced Telekinesis (1000) Requires Ranged, Ranged Materialize, Remote Control Proficiencies

Starting Moves: 900
Psychic Grip - 600, Requires Advanced Telekinesis
By reaching her hand out, Sabrina subjects other Primes and Secondaries to her Telekinesis powers. This allows her to move them around within the range of her Telekinetic Powers.
The move has two applications: in a more "control" oriented manner, Sabrina suspends her opponent in midair and moves them around or holds them in place. In a more offensive manner, Sabrina lifts them and slams them against the ground with great force, injuring them. The latter is much more exerting due to the momentum that must be built.

As Psychic Grip is essentially an extension of her Telekinesis Power, the standart powers and limitations apply, in addition to the following caveats.
1- Targeting Rules Sabrina can only manipulate the body of a target as a whole entity. She cannot, for instance, force a specific limb like an arm or leg to move in a certain way (as long as it is physically connected to their body, that is - a cut-off limb would become a separate entity) or squeeze the person she has a hold on. Clothing, armor, equipment etc. are treated as part of the body for the purposes of this move. Sabrina can thus not, for instance, crush a knight in their armor, and isn't able to strip someone of their equipment while they wear it.
2- Moves/Powers and Movement Due to the above point, Sabrina's opponents can move their limbs freely and use attacks, moves and powers. Super Jumping and Flight do not work due to Psychic Grip holding them in place, though moves using either of these do work, only in altered form. For instance, a bird character with a move where it flaps its wings to fly and simultaneously send sharp quills everywhere could still flap them and send the quills around, but it would not move.
3- Effectiveness with distance The further away her opponents are, the less effective Sabrina's Psychic Grip is (max distance is 60m/200ft according to the Advanced Telekinesis rules). At 50% distance from Sabrina (30m) she could only hold them with 50% effectiveness and move them around at half speed.
4- Sight limitation Sabrina must be able to see at least 30% of her target's body, either directly (eyes) or with non-suppressed Enhanced Senses, to be able to be subjected to Psychic Grip. If something blocks her view, Psychic Grip is interrupted and the target is released immediately. Note: To be fully clear: stealthed opponents cannot be "seen" even if they are in Sabrina's field of view. However, transparent barriers like glass(es) do not count as obstacles towards this purpose.
5- Breaking out Opponents with TEC at least one level below Sabrina's can forcibly break out of the grip by struggling some. They can also use phasing and teleporting to escape. In addition, Burst Movement can be used to move with ground contact but doesn't break Sabrina's Psychic Grip (unless the movement brings the other person out of Telekinesis range or puts something between Sabrina and her opponent that blocks her view of them).
6- Sabrina's movement Sabrina must also remain stationary and concentrated for as long as she uses Psychic Grip. She can however remain hovering in place with her Flight Power, and being moved by external sources (like an ally pulling her somewhere or a vehicle she is inside of) does not interrupt the move.
7- Duration Sabrina can only uphold Psychic Grip for ~5 seconds at most before her focus slips, at which point she needs a while to regain her focus - in a fight this equates to some 30 seconds. Using it for longer causes it to be much less effective, becoming more of a hindrance than fully suspending someone and making her slamming attacks less harmful.
8- No Combos Finally, Sabrina can neither attack nor use offensive normal/super moves (like Shadow Ball) nor damaging powers (like tossing objects at her opponents with Telekinesis) simultaneously to using Psychic Grip. In essence she cannot hurt her opponents while maintaining them in her grip. Allies and assists can, however. She can still use defensive moves (like Barrier) but the execution will be slower as Sabrina must remain concentrated on Psychic Grip.

Barrier - 300, requires Area Shield Proficiency
A quick-cast shield move for emergency situations. Sabrina rapidly holds her hand out, creating a transparent glass-like barrier in a fraction of a second, which can deflect weak blows or dampen powerful ones before shattering. The barrier is rectangular and just barely big enough to cover Sabrina's body. It cannot be maintained for longer than 5 seconds, and must recharge for the same amount of time that it was maintained for (5 seconds max.)

Shadow Ball - 300, requires Ranged Proficiency
Sabrina amasses psychic energy into her palm, creating a fist-sized sphere of blue and green swirling energy after ca. 3 seconds. Once it is created Sabrina can maintain the sphere with minimal effort until she throws it, at which point it will fly in a straight line at around the speed of an arrow, dealing damage like a projectile and dissipating into harmless psychic energy shortly after the impact. The sphere can be charged while she is moving but as she must focus she will move at half speed.

Fluff Moves: (0)
Psychic Glow - This automatically applies to Telekinesis and all moves that include it (like Psychic Grip)
When Sabrina uses her psychic powers, she is surrounded by some wavering green and blue psychic energy which glows slightly. Objects and beings subjected to Sabrina's psychic powers get a similar glow as long as they are subjected to the psychic power. It's a side-effect that brings no additional effects and is purely cosmetic.

Finisher Move - Medusa Flame
Sabrina can only use this ability if she wins a fight and can decide whether to kill, banish or spare her opponent (so that's after the judging occurs). By amassing a large quantity of power, Sabrina surrounds herself with a flame-like glow and after ca. 10 seconds of concentrated charging fires the amassed power at her defeated opponent in a blast. Said blast kills them and turns the corpse into a stone statue, frozen in the position they were in.
Medusa Flame is just a fancy way to kill Primes and Secondaries and creating a stone statue from their corpses, at the cost of a fair amount of Sabrina's energy. Its victims suffer the same effects as if they were killed by any other means.

  Purchases Planner! (Google Excel Document)
Posted by: Amaterasu - 01-30-2016, 09:44 AM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - Replies (4)

For all you people who have trouble with the numbers when it comes to purchasing stuff for your character, or who simply need to organize said purchases a little: have this!
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing

FEATURES:

-A nearly complete spreadsheet of the purchasable things in the Omniverse, from Stat Upgrades to Power Caps to Moves! The only thing not included are Consumables, but you can manually add those if you bought any!

-An included instruction manual!

-Up to 10 moves costing 1500 each, 3 Super Moves for each tier, 5 Alt Forms, 3 Power-Ups for each tier and 3 assists for each tier.

-Warning messages if you purchase a Power with Requirements (like Telekinesis) that you don't meet yet, Base Upgrades without a Base etc., if you set more than 10 initial stats or if you go higher than your current OM count allows.

-If you go over a Powers Cap, a message will be displayed showing you what you need to purchase to raise that cap.

DOES NOT FEATURE:

-Consumables. Because there's no way to keep track of which ones you have already used, ensuring that you don't buy more types of Consumables or a greater number than you have slots for and many others. It's too complex.

-Refund auto-calculation. You'll have to enter that manually under "Extra Costs".

-Requirements for Moves and checking if you already have those.

-Explanations of Powers, Proficiencies, Items etc. I recommend that you have the Omniverse pages with explanations open parallel to the sheet.

-Moves costing 1800 or more. If you want that Swiss army knife that has a dozen different uses you either have to submit three moves with 5, 5 and 2 uses each or add it under "Extra Costs."

-Hyper-advanced skillful programming. I'm an Excel noob, you can't expect any insanely advanced sheets from me.

-Guarantee of bug-freeness and freshness of the info. The Planner was only somewhat tested by myself, so there may be errors here and there that screw the calculus up. Also, if there's any Updates, new Powers or whatever being added, I may forget to add them. You can point me out on it of course. I'll do my best to fix the errors.
