A.S.P.E.C.T - Joining - A.S.P.E.C.T - 02-01-2016

Character name: A.S.P.E.C.T

Character source: Original

Character history: Aspect is a robot from the future of Earth where mankind has mastered robots and uses them for almost everything. Robots are as available, diverse and widespread as computers were in the year 2010. Aspect was an unlicensed project to try and create a robot with more human traits and the ability to think and act for itself. He was uploaded with the knowledge of five different people from various aspects of life in order to create a robot that resembled a human most closely. He gained knowledge from a successful businessman and stock merchant, from his own creator and robotics scientist genius, from a Chinese Kung Fu expert, from a TV celebrity housekeeper and interior designer and from a retired but successful con artist and white collar criminal. When Aspect was activated it became clear quickly that the project had failed since there was no difference between the other robots and Aspect and the project was quietly scrapped.

When Aspect was released into the world, registered as a variant robot, he took hold of his ability to lie and deceive and worked his way through the human system. Upon his release from the project he was assigned as an assistant Robot to an older, well off gentleman in order to help him with the daily affairs of his household. Aspect used everything he had been uploaded with to scam the man out of as much as he could. He always needed more money for shopping than other robots, disappeared many valuable pieces from around the house claiming he had dropped them or they simply had gone missing after one of the other servant robots had been in the room and generally came with much higher maintenance than any of the other robots working in the house. When the master died in a car accident, Aspect was busy selling off the pieces he had taken from the car to a scrap yard in town.

Finally considering himself free, Aspect pooled his resources together and invested them in several different high risk high reward scams. Requiring neither sleep or rest, Aspect managed in a few days what most criminals took a year or more. Some people died because of his actions but Aspect was to busy with the next venture that he never noticed. For the few days he was active after the death of his first master he did all the things he learned from the five people that he obtained knowledge from in order to lie, steal and cheat his way into more personal possessions and wealth because, like all humans, he believed that it was his right to own things and live a full human life.

When he finally decided to settle down on his own, Aspect set up a fake human identity for a master that didn't exist and bought a penthouse apartment in his name. Aspect moved in, claiming to wait for his master to come and check out the place, and disappeared on the same day, seemingly vanishing from the face of the Earth. At the same equivalent time and date in the Omniverse, Aspect rebooted in the Nexus.

Physical Description: (originals only)
Aspect is a plain metallic robot with a basic humanoid shape. He stands at about 180 cm. His face is flat and featureless apart from the slit where a humans eyes would be. The slit goes from ear to ear, allowing Aspect to see 180° at the same time, making it difficult for others who don't know him to realize that he is looking at them even when his head is not turned to them. The lack of features make it easier for Aspect's lies to pass of as truths.

Aspect doesn't have a strong build as he was more designed for mobility around the house and speed of work. His body is covered with several metallic plates that protect the machinery inside but the armoring was never completed fully, leaving quite a few holes that show his wiring and machinery beeping and buzzing as they work to keep Aspect on the move.

Although rarely deployed, the part of Aspect's design that stands out the most is definitely the fact that he has six tendrils. While they are usually combined into two single arms they are in fact three thinner operating extensions that allow Aspect to handle and multitask different things together. Designed for handling paperwork and tea, Aspect has learned to put them to use for his own survival instead. When in social situations, Aspect will usually keep them in their 'human state' as he doesn't want to needlessly disturb people around him.

(Fodder) Multitasking
Aspect's mind works like that of a highly advanced computer and he is able to do hundreds of things at the same time mentally. Simple day-to-day functioning requires less than one percent of his operating power.

Debilitating Charms (Ranged and Debuff Proficiencies) (1800 OM)
Aspect channels his power into a charm he is holding before firing it off towards his target.
Aspect holds a single charm in one of his hands or tendrils and sends energy from his core into it. The energy will visibly flow through his metallic limbs into the charm and will have a different color depending on the desired effect. The charm will write itself with the required symbols for the effect. Once Aspect is content with the required power he can fire the charm towards his target and when it hits the spell will take effect. The spell flies in a straight line, much like a bullet, towards his target. In Earth equivalent physics and gravity the charm will fly at about 700 m/sec (2300 ft/sec) for about 2 km (1.2 miles) before falling to the ground and fading. (This is in absolute favorable circumstances.)
Once the target has been affected he will remain affected for up to twenty minutes, until the target meditates on the effects to dispel them which takes a full minute of uninterrupted concentration (and knowledge of this possibility) (physically removing the charms does nothing once they've hit) or until Aspect decides to release the charm.

As a liar, Aspect will try to trick his opponents into believing he is empowering himself rather than depowering them so his attack is named the opposite of what he wants to achieve. The spell requires one piece of rectangular paper that he has to hold as long as he is pumping energy into it in order to charge it up and enough energy to left to charge it. The spell can be charged for 10 seconds to be fired off at full power or released earlier for a weaker effect. If he fires the spell of earlier he can still stack the effect so hitting two 5 second spells will have the same result as hitting a 10 second spell. Each second charging affects more of his target with the effect starting with the upper chest, lower chest, legs and feet, arms, hands, head and finally mind for the full effect.
Due to the high energy requirements for the skill, Aspect needs to remain stationary and focus on charging the charm. Large movements interrupt the charging and loses the energy he's already used if not fired. In his current Omniverse state, Aspect's energy reserves has diminished a lot and he's only able to charge 5 fully (10 seconds) charged charms (or 50 1 second charged charms) before requiring rest and recharging. He can charge up to six charms with the same effect at the same time due to his multiple arms allowing him to wield up to six charms at the same. Charms with different effects can't be charged at the same time.

Current Effects:
Name/Chant (Actual effect) - Energy color - Charm Symbols while charging - Requirement
Enhanced Speed (Weaken Speed) - Green Energy - गति कमजोर - N/A
Enhanced Skill (Weaken Technique) - Blue Energy - कौशल कमजोर - N/A
Full Form Movement (Paralysis) - White Energy - निर्बलता - Target has to be affected by Weakened Speed 10/10

(OOC: I don't know how debuffs work towards actually lowering stats of other players so if you could inform me of that that would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking maybe -1 per 10/10 charges hit?)

Super Moves: (600 OM total)
Full Spectrum Barrier (Power Scatter) - Tier 1 Super Defense Move - (Ranged and Debuff Proficiencies) (600 OM)
Aspect channels his power into a charm and holds it up to shield himself from an enemy attack. It can block up to Tier 1 Super Attacks.

Aspect will charge a charm with energy, pumping it forcefully into it through all of his power conduits at the same time in order to create a highly unstable charm. When used, the charm will explode its power outwards, in the direction it was aimed, in order to counteract any incoming power. The sudden counter current of power will scatter most or all of the power of an incoming attack left, right, above and below the point of impact but never behind, where Aspect is standing.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct. because everyone else said so.

Where did you find us? A forum RPG list I found via Google.

Re: A.S.P.E.C.T - Joining - Gilgamesh - 02-04-2016

Hi there! Welcome to the Omniverse!

You're history is good but I have some comments on your move.

Charms- This move seems extremely powerful if it lasts up to an hour and an opponent cannot remove it. This also makes it seem like it takes almost no toll on ASPECT which generally is a no. Debilitating moves as such probably should take quite a bit of energy or should be less powerful. Also if you could tell how long it takes to fully charge one move that would be great. Another personal comment is that the move seems a little complex at first. An alternative would be, "It takes "x" seconds for Charm to charge but ASPECT can release it earlier for a diminished effect. These effects can stack up over time up to the full potential of the move" or something to that effect.

Full Spectrum Barrier- This seems fine if it's only defensive

Hey Gilgamesh. Thanks for taking the time to look over my application.

I have shortened the effect down to twenty minutes instead of an hour and given it a possibility to be removed by anyone if they take a minute to concentrate on "flushing" the debuff from their system. I've also reworded the charging as you said.

Let me know if it everything is in order now.

Re: A.S.P.E.C.T - Joining - Gilgamesh - 02-05-2016

This move seems much better, however it seems still a bit strong in the Omniverse. If you could add some caveats like make a bit of fatigue after use, or vulnerability or anything of the sort that would be good. Once you get that done I'll set you up and you'll be set

Re: A.S.P.E.C.T - Joining - A.S.P.E.C.T - 02-05-2016

I've added a limit to how many charms he can fully charge before running out of energy and I've made it so that he needs to remain stationary while charging with a chance of losing energy if he makes large movements (like a dodge and roll to avoid an attack). Does that work better for the Omniverse?

Would it be possible to remove these limits with OM at later stages?

Re: A.S.P.E.C.T - Joining - Gilgamesh - 02-06-2016

It would be possible for you to remove some of these things using Utility Super Moves. A super move would probably last longer, and be more what you were thinking. Higher tiers would be stronger effects. As for normal moves, no they can't get stronger cause you put more OM into them.
