| Off to slay the dragon |

Erik passed through the Camelot gate into the Nexus. The radiant, blank landscape was a welcome sight after the dull, maze-like forests of Camelot. Erik wanted to get to the steppes as quickly as possible, so he summoned his horse. The grey horse tossed its mane and snorted, apparently displeased to see the Nexus again. Erik quickly mounted the horse and set off towards the Ashem Steppes gate.
After a while, Erik realised that he would reach the fountain of infinity soon. While it would be faster to go past the fountain, Erik could still see a fight taking place. Erik didn't want to take his chances with the flaming skeleton monster, so he decided to veer around the fountain. After another uneventful hour of traveling, other than a few small scuffles in the distance, Erik came to the Ashen Steppes gate. Erik braced himself for what was inside, but was almost unbearably excited. The psychic could barely believe that he was going to fight a dragon. Erik urged his horse forward and into the gate.

"Stand down, Revan!" They had used to be friends, best friends if truth be told. Yet she didn't understand why Revan had to do this, to overthrow the stagnant government. Bastilla hadn't seen what she had seen, felt the pain and agony that she had. So the choice was very simple to Revan, let Bastilla kill her and let everything she had slaved over keel over and die, or fight for what she believed in.
Revan turned her heavy black cape, the flawless fabric like a wave of darkness, concealing her masked face for the slightest of moments. She had taken this mask for a reason, as a symbol to those that followed her. To show them that Justice would be served. Justice had chosen Revan as its weapon, and oh what a weapon they had chosen. Revan didn't say a word to her old comrade, only ignited her blood-red saber, the luminescence reflecting off the red metal of the Mandalorian mask she wore. She settled into her battle stance, her right arm holding the blade off to the side, giving the illusion that she was relaxed though every muscle in her body was tightly coiled and ready to leap into action. Deception was a Sith's tool, not to be underestimated or taken lightly.
But she was not Sith. That's another thing they did not understand, she did not feed her powers solely from the dark side of the force. It was simply a piece of a larger whole. The Force was one entity, and she believed that only indulging in one side was neglecting the full knowledge and power that the Force sought to bestow upon those who were ready. They were fools not to see the truth; only when you embraced both the light and the dark could you see the truth.
The Bridge erupted in fire and smoke, consuming Revan. The Sith Lord could feel the heat of the fire that blazed in all corners of the room, dead bodies strewn all over, and not all of them in one piece. She had to choke back a painful sob as she lay, broke, on the cold metal floor of her flagship. These were faithful men, who believed in her and their cause. They had blindly given her their allegiance and respect. Now... What had she led them to?
She saw the shape of her friend loom over her face, saying something to Revan, but all she heard was a ringing in her ears. And the labored beats of her weak heart eventually slowed, and everything went dark.

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”
Revan felt her vision slowly return to her, as did the functions of the rest of her body. But with it came pain; agonizingly brutal pain. It ripped through every part of her, before coming to pulse in her heart, then the organ would force the pain back into the rest of her being. She heard a voice, and she tried to yell for help, but when she opened her mouth, no sound manifested itself.
Revan tried to move, and her body was restricted. Her pain suddenly vanished and a man stood before her, he had no features, save for the wide smile that stretched across his blank face. He held his hands out to her, cupping a small orb in his hand, it shone with an inner light, and Revan could feel the Force surround it like a hurricane.
Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.
The small orb floated just off of the man's hands and came to rest in front of her, pulsating slightly in time with her heartbeat. With every pulse, she could feel herself slipping back into darkness, but somehow that didn't bother her anymore. Her eyes struggled to find the Smiling Man's face again, just as he began to speak.
Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.
Revan smiled and succumbed to the darkness inside of her, just as the light of the Orb began to seep into her body. A small contented sigh escaped her mouth as she fell into slumber...

Nealaphh was not used to being hailed as a hero.
Yet, as the Goron Caravan made its way back up the pitched slopes of Death Mountain, nearly a hundred Gorons line the causeway into the village proper. The thronging rock-men threw up puffs of glowing silicate powder, hooting and cheering as the lead Goron in the caravan held up the Gigaton Hammer triumphantly. In this way, the Caravan became more of a processional parade. The God-Mind had to wonder how, exactly, the Gorons had known that they were coming, but it ultimately decided that it was unfair to think that all of the golemesque villagers were luddites. Connor Hound, who had joined with their caravan a few hours prior, did his best to keep his motorcycle driving straight over the hilly, rubble-strewn terrain. Nealaphh had been glad to see the mercenary expressing such enthusiasm for assisting in the banishment of Volvagia, especially since so few others had volunteered, at least outwardly.
The red light of the ash choked sky bounced vibrantly off of the hewn doorways and walls that had been carved into the igneous landscape. All of these obsidian structures led towards the yawning mouth of the main cave, where Chief Darunia stood with his meaty arms crossed and wide grin beaming. Nealaphh abruptly returned to its humanoid form and floated fown gently from atop the Dodongo, only to have the Goron Chief rush up and give the God-Mind a sharp, crushing embrace.
"Good to see you brother! And you brought a guest! The first of many I hope!" Darunia bellowed, glancing towards Tom's placid form. The collected tribe all looked on with baited breath as Darunia collected the Gigaton Hammer from the caravan leader, hefting the weapon a few times. After giving it some experimental swings, the massive Goron leader traced a rough finger along the etched, glowing runes that ran along the haft.
"It's certainly a different beast than the Megaton Hammer...but I like it! What's say we give it a whirl?!" Darunia shouted, eliciting a round of cheering from the Goron brotherhood.
I would expect nothing less. Nealaphh cooed, its eyes narrowing in anticipation. In just a few minutes, a group of a dozen Gorons had rolled an oversized boulder down from a nearby house, balancing it precipitously on the downward slope of the main road. Daruna stood at the bottom, glaring at the black, spherical rock. Nealaphh and Tom watched in earnest as the several-ton boulder was pushed hard towards the Chief. Darunia remained still as the boulder gained velocity, and right at the last moment, he swung the hammer in a sharp, two handed arc.
There came a deafening crack as the runaway rock was more than simply shattered; it was disintigrated. A hail of pebbles and sand were blasted away in a cone from the point of impact, much to the glee of the Gorons. Connor whistled lowly, and Darunia whooped loudly and stomped his feet, gazing wide-eyed at the Hammer as if it were his favored child. The Chief brandished the head of the Hammer towards the summit and shouted an oath.
"Hear that, Volvagia?! The next thing to break is your FACE!"
Another round of cheering, and when the cacophany finally settled down, Darunia practically skipped towards the small hut where Tom and Nealaphh were watching. It was clear that Tom found the entire display to be somewhat droll, but the God-Mind's expression remained inscrutable as always.
"Quite a piece of work you put together, Brother Nealaphh!" Darunia said, slinging the hammer over his shoulder. Every time the Hammer was so much as jostled, the Enigma could hear the entombed consciousness within the weapon snarling in want of destruction.
Please, Tom here was more than instrumental in perfecting the design. It was a team effort. The first of many. Nealaphh said, bowing its head slightly. Tom noted the deliberately sacharine intonation that Nealaphh was projecting its words with. The wizard understood why, but that didn't make it any less grating.
"So what happens now?" Darunia asked, settling into a cross-legged position on the ground.
I am glad you asked, Brother. Now, we wait and prepare for the battle. Many Primes are going to be gathering here in just a few days. I will need to see to it that proper accomodations are prepared. Nealaphh said, projecting mental images of heavy duty tents strung up around the village. Darunia nodded thoughtfully.
"'And what about the Koopas?" he grumbled, his eyes flickering with a flinty resentment.
I am not sure if they have been sufficiently appeased, but we will find out soon enough.
Darunia snorted.
"Yeah, well, they'd better show up if they know what's good for 'em. Anything else, Brother?"
Not at the moment. I will let you know if I need your assistance.
"Hrmph. Good enough. See you around, Brother." Darunia boomed, offering both Primes a hearty slap on the back as he trundled out into the carmine daylight. Nealaphh turned slowly to Tom, who was very clearly uncomfortable for many reasons.
"Seems as if you'll be quite occupied for some time." Tom said with an airy tone. Nealaphh was not sure what the wizard was playing at, but it did not have the time to concern itself with such subtleties at the moment.
Nothing you need to concern yourself with, Tom. I'm sure you'll find a way to help if you so choose.
The God-Mind then turned to look at Connor, who was idly leaning against the cool pummice wall of the volcanic hovel.
As for you, Mr. Hound, I invite you to relax and do as you see fit. Accommodations will be provided shortly, unless you wish to make your own.
With that, Nealaphh swept out of the dark, stone hovel, eager to get a head start on all the necessary chores. There was so much riding on trusting in the competence of others. It made Nealaphh feel a tad uncomfortable, but, it had little alternative...

So I'm pretty new here. I've submitted a joining request, and I'm trying to get a feel for the community here.
I had a few questions about signatures, and figured it would be a good idea to ask here rather than bother people in the Help Desk.
Do I need to make a signature myself?
Can I just lift an image from google, mess with it, and use it?
I have a few already prepared, but I shant post them yet if I could potentially damage the site.
Posititve feedback is appreciated!

So, a thought crossed my mind. How likely are the rebels in Coruscant to venture up to the higher tiers and help out a potential ally? Link isn't exactly on great terms with the empire so far and he's looking at a way out. I'd want to complete the rebel quests as well, so it's not like I get the help and then ditch then.

Quote:Continued from You Will Be Reborn
The dilapidated stone portal, stock still beneath the gray cover of the Pale Moors, suddenly began to shimmer and displace. Within moments, two individuals had emerged: a tall, white-haired man in a long red coat, and a shorter man with spiked hair, elfin features, and dressed in battle gear.
Dante and Jak had been unfortunately forced to retire their buggy after discovering that it would be too large to fit into the gate, and so resolved to continue their travels on foot. Trusting the half-devil mercenary knew his business here exactly, Jak allowed him to take point in their trek across the drab landscape - especially considering the eco warrior had never visited this verse before. As Dante quietly walked along, his new partner took the opportunity to absorb the view of this world, the sheer darkness of the environment almost ever-present, the ambient noises of strange creatures occasionally filling the air wickedly.
"So this is the Pale Moors," Jak said simply after a time, haven taken his fill of the ghastly surroundings after several minutes. "I've heard a few things, but I didn't know it would be this... spooky." Dante offered no response beyond a nod of the head and a hum of agreement. Looking to the red-coat, Jak registered that the devil hunter somewhat frequently swung his gaze about, as if he were on the alert for trouble, or even looking for something specific. "And... you said you had business here?"
"In a manner of speaking," came the Son of Sparda's response, answering without looking at Jak. He found himself straying slightly off the beaten road, trying to look out for certain landmarks in the area - without being able to follow the exact same path as before, however, he had no real way of recognizing where they were going, or which direction they even had to go in.
Curious, and a bit bored, Jak continued to question, "So... there are people actually living out here?"
"So I'm told," Dante flatly responded again, "But some of those people might be less friendly - and less 'people' - than others, if you catch my drift."
"Right, right," the fellow mercenary nodded in understanding. Any manner of wicked and terrible creatures could certainly find themselves at home here, and Jak couldn't help but hope that they didn't end up running into any along the way.

| March Monthly Accolades (Until April 11th) |
|

 |
As spring finally blooms, we celebrate the changing of seasons with another edition of the Accolades!
For those of you who are unaware, the Accolades involve nominating (and later, voting for) those who have outdone themselves in a particular area each month. For variety's sake, the categories for each month may be different.
You have until April 4th to nominate your choices. After that, we will proceed to the voting phase where members will vote among the two individuals with the most nominations for each category. The only exception is if someone manages to get 5+ more nominations than the runner-up, in which case that person becomes the winner by default.
If you wish to participate, think of who stood out the most in a particular category this month and post your choice, along with a 2-3 sentence long explanation, in this thread. You are not barred from nominating your own characters/threads, nor do you have to fill out all the categories.
The winners will become this month's "Community Stars" and will receive a blue user title in recognition of their achievement.
And now, this month's categories are:
‘Best’ Character – Which character has you engaged the most?
‘Best’ Writer – Which writer wowed you the most?
Most Helpful – A staffer or a member who gave you amazing feedback on a story or was simply there to help you sort out some of your problems.
Rising Star – Which up-and-coming member stands at the crème of the crop? (must have joined within the last month and a half or have less than 8000 OM)
'Best' Story – What story did you find most riveting/entertaining?
'Best' Monologue – Many characters have rich and vibrant internal lives, filled with thoughts and conflicts that they either express internally or externally. Some of those are deep and profound, others not quite as much. But whatever the case may be, which character had the most interesting or offbeat mentations? Please note that, in spite of the name, you are not limited to examples where a character's thoughts are expressed in the form of (internal) dialogue — any depiction of a character pondering something will do.
'Best' NPC – What non-player character (can be a site, personal, or story NPC) entertained you the most (for whatever reason). Please note who the 'owner' of said NPC is, just in case I am not familiar with them.
Purple Ribbon - Consider this a bonus category for nominating someone who, while they may not be the best and have all the twitter followers, you believe deserves to be recognized for what they bring the the Omniverse. (The winner must be a DIFFERENT person than last month's winner)

Now let's say a user racks up a notorious bounty (in this case Rin Takao) and then proceeds to disappear into thin air, will you be able to take that bounty and write for the person. Or is the bounty null and void. If it's either make a list of all the bounties to which this applies and post them in this thread preferably.
