This was not her home. It was where she had been living for as long as she could remember, but this apartment wasn’t home. Where was her home, then? There was an odd feeling whenever she dreamed—a warm, fuzzy feeling. Maybe home was within her dreams? If that was the case, how was she going to get there?
She glanced over at the balcony, and an idea suddenly popped into her head. An idea that was so absurd, she almost didn’t bother with it. In a normal situation, she wouldn’t have followed through.
But loneliness makes people do things that they wouldn’t do otherwise.
She crawled into bed and fell asleep. Once she entered the dream world, she rushed out the door and into the Nexus. Several Aztec statues watched from beyond a circle of 12 doors as she deposited her effects, leaving them each in the general shape of an egg until all of them formed another circle. With a sigh, the dreamer pinched her cheeks and woke up.
When she first entered the dream world, she had been given the objective to collect all the effects and leave them at the Nexus. She had no idea why… until just now. She rolled out of bed, then ran to the door. With a flick of her wrist, she tried opening the door to no avail. Her sight wavered back to the balcony, which somehow formed a little staircase during the time she was asleep.
She could’ve sworn that it wasn’t there before, but there was that nagging feeling inside her that said that the staircase had been here the entire time. Had she refused to acknowledge it? Regardless, she ascended the staircase and stood on the railing. She spun around and faced her room for the last time.
Farewell to the mysterious door that refused to let her go. Farewell to the old TV with no cable, as well as NASU, the most pathetic game in existence. Farewell to the gaudy Aztec rug. Farewell to the bed in which she dreamed so many adventures. Farewell to the desk, where she recorded her dreams.
…Wait. She ran over to the desk and picked up the book that was currently resting on it. She opened it, smiling at the various entries she had recorded and the odd creatures she had sketched. This dream diary held so many memories; it’d be a crime not to take it with her.
With the diary held tightly to her chest, she returned to the railing. She started to shift her weight forward.
Farewell, jail cell.
She finally lost her balance and toppled off the balcony.
Hello, home.
…
Why wasn’t she falling?
She opened her red, cat-like eyes, trying to make sense of what just happened. It was pitch black, except for a white form of a man. The dreamer tried to speak, but her mouth didn’t comply. The form would apparently be the one speaking for now.
Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”
The… Omniverse? What on earth made her worthy of going there? She just wanted to go home.
Quote:Omni hands you a glimmering orb in which all the colors of the rainbow coalesce. “This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.
Her eyes widened as the figure presented an orb colored with every light in the visible spectrum. She could use this to make stuff? Anything? Maybe home could wait for a little bit. Especially if this Omnilium could create what she was thinking of… or rather, who.
Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn. “That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
And there were others? Others like her? And she’d live forever! She decided that this would be worth the detour.
And before anything else could be said, Madotsuki suddenly found herself in a blank room with a fountain. This place was somewhat familiar, especially with the gateways she could barely see at the edges of the world that seemed to lead to other areas.
People were wandering about, and the dreamer suddenly felt out of place. She sat down by the fountain and focused. She wanted to figure out how this “Omnilium” worked before she went anywhere. A multicolored bubble appeared in front of her, and in a few minutes, she now had a knife is her hands.
But now what?

The first time Raal had ever seen Venjo’s village, the troll stronghold had a special architecture that Raal had always admired.
It lacked walls in an open space to the outside eye, until one looked closer. The well-crafted longhouses, tents, armories, and huts were all arranged in a deceptively confusing way. Shorter walls of hard brick jutted between different buildings, making the village as a whole very hard to navigate without familiarity. Walls that didn’t look like walls, and a village that seemed more like bait than a trap.
This time, however, Raal looked down at a broken and bleeding shadow of that very village. Fire still blazed like an oversized chimney from the main armory, entire buildings had been reduced to scraps of wood, boulders and cannonballs littered the area, along with dozens of corpses - troll and dwarf alike.
Raal didn’t say anything to Zul’kis as he charged forward. He didn’t have to. The sound of roaring flame and the stench of violent death spurred him onward faster than Raal could ever manage.
The tears sparkling down the young trolls’ cheeks were a problem, of course. But for now, there was precious little he could do about them. Such was the nature of youth. Instead, Raal spurred his deathcharger forward with a simple hand gesture forward, directing the creature to Venjo’s estate.
Whatever had happened before, it was clear to see that it was long finished. And while this was definitely an unprecedented cut into troll territory, the idea of the crafty troll leader dying in such a single-minded scheme was complete absurdity.
--------------------------------------------------------
It took Raal only a minute to reach Venjo’s hut, entering without bothering to knock.
His indiscretion lead to the uncomfortable feeling of metal scraping his ribs, as a pair of spears rested an inch away from piercing his robed figure upon entering.
In a different universe, Raal would have raised his hands, and the pair would have been screaming on the ground for this indiscretion. Instead, Raal merely glared, a pair of telekinetic pushes smacking the spearheads into the oaken wall.
“Perhaps one of these days, we’ll have a meeting without my life being put into imminent danger, Venjo.” Raal stated with a hint of amusement, as he scanned the ornate room. The first, most obvious thing he noted was Venjo himself. His face was grinning, his mohawk seemed even better groomed than before…
And his bandaged body was short an entire arm.
“What in the hells happened here?” Raal asked, his expression one of shock.
“Ayy, don’ be so melodramatic, mon. I be a troll, remember? Dey grow back. It do be a shame, though. I rather liked that one.” Venjo responded with a lighter tone. He seemed rather unfazed by this situation to Raal’s eyes. Rather surprising, given the losses Raal had counted off.
“That doesn’t answer my question, Venjo.” Was Raal’s only response. He didn’t feel like playing games with the troll at the moment.
“Your question be an easy one to answer. ‘Twas the dwarves. They attacked quickly, without even a trace o’ warning. Thrice our number. ‘Course… they weren’t prepared to attack a troll town properly.” Zul’kis Responded with a chuckle. “On even ground, or in th’ mountains… they mighta been trouble. With the hardware they ended up bringin’, they still were. But we tore ‘em limb from limb. Doubt they’ll try an’ attack on our home turf so quick in da future.” the troll chuckled. We lost dozens a’ trolls. They lost hundreds o’ dwarves. And they didn’t even manage to get what they wanted.”
Raal paused at this. “What they wanted.”
“The reason I called ya here, mon. Somethin’ happened in the fields recently. Well… somethin’ happened everywhere recently. Or rather, something happened a long time ago.”
Raal let out an exasperated sigh, brushing his forehead with one skeletal hand in annoyance. “Venjo, if your tongue continues to twist so rapidly, I’m afraid I’ll finally decay before your story ends. Would it be so much for you to ask to straighten it.”
Venjo chuckled at that, “To be honest, I just wanted to see how long it’d take ya to ask. I was hopin’ to say a little more before ya finally lost patience. Isn’t it the way of the magician to speak forever, and say nothin’?” Venjo asked.
“A magician without a timetable, perhaps.” Raal replied. Venjo merely nodded at that, finally losing his customary grin as he took a more serious tone.
“‘Bout a few years ago, a meteor fell in the fields, a streaking, emerald light, fallin’ from the heavens. Some claimed the legion’d found this world, but no army of demons came. Most of us wrote it off as just some legend, a fable.”
Raal merely nodded at this.
“But… as it turns out, these meteors fell in at least one other place. Camelot. ‘Dey extracted whatever was in there, and while details have been kept rather… short, I be one of the few on Zul’jin’s shortlist that gets told about things. So, I found out they extracted what they called a “star piece.” Venjo continued. “A blue artifact with a lot of power. We don’t know anythin’ about them beyond that, but one landed in the fields too.”
“A… star piece?” Raal nearly stuttered, the implications nearly causing him to shake. “You did not misspeak, Venjo? It was a star piece!” Raal muttered with a voice bordering on excitement.
“Aye. It be what they called it, at least.”
“And the one here… does it match the color of the meteor?” Raal asked with a voice bordering on excitement.
“What part of “we don’t know anything more” don’t ya get, Deathwind?” Venjo asked with incredulity. “...What’s wrong with ya?”
Raal’s smile grew broad as he spoke. “What’s wrong with me? Nothing at all. We may just reclaim one of the horde’s original prizes of conquest.”
“Explain ya babble, man.”
“Long ago, the orcs fought the draenei. It was the first birth-cries of the horde, and we slaughtered the wretched creatures to a one. True genocide.” Raal explained with his hands shaking. “One major discovery we had found were artifacts that the Draenei had kept with them all these years. They each had different powers. One would give a warrior the strength of ten men, another would give so much clarity of thought that even the weakest shaman or warlock could cast the most powerful spells, and another…” Raal’s voice got higher and higher, before he seemed to catch himself.
“...the point.” Raal continued after a few seconds of silence. “is that these might be ancient artifacts of great power… and yet, you stated you have no information on them. What, then, is the point of telling me all this?”
Venjo’s smirk returned slightly. “I can’t tell ya anymore about the green star… but there be an astronomer here, from Dalaran. He’s more than equipped to do exactly that. Willing? Not so much. Even gettin’ his location was quite th’ feat. Bruenor seems to be tryin’ to keep him quite protected. Not that it’s gonna help. We ain’t gonna sit here an’ let the bastard use that artifact to empower his dwarves.’ Venjo said with a vicious grin. Or rather…”
Raal cut the schemer off. “Or rather, I’m not gonna sit here… this is exactly why you called me here, isn’t it?” Raal asked with a roll of his eyes.
Venjo merely shrugged. “Well… somethin’ like that. Ya wouldn’t be going alone, of course. I’m a little… disarmed at the moment, so odds are I ain’t gonna be able to help ya, but I got some boys to send with ya. Veterans. Berserkers. An’ smart, too. They’ll be joinin’ ya on your little raid. The man you be after be called Brandon Marshall. Kill ‘im, and steal his work.” Venjo said quietly. “If you do this, and manage to find the damn thing too, and then bring it to Zul’jin… I imagine you’ll be more than able to get that audience you been wantin’.” Venjo said with a grin.
Raal paused to think about that. “...Very well.” he stated finally. “But you’ve yet to tell me where the man’s located in the first place. It’s rather essential information, I’d imagine.” Raal stated, trying and failing to keep the sarcasm out of his voice.
Venjo’s voice took on a more serious tone. “It be Dwarveholm. Bruenor’s capital… You’ll have to be careful, Deathwind. This ain’t some village to be smashed to bits by a naive giant. This be a fortress that could withstand thousands.”
“...Hmph.” Raal grunted, thinking this fact through. “ Worry not, Venjo. I’ll get in quietly. They won’t even know I was there… at least, until long after I’ve left.” Raal added with a wicked smile.

Lubbock nodded at Akame's question. "Yeah, the other Verses are basically small planets... well, more like large continents." Lubbock corrected himself with a shake of his head, remembering that the verses weren't that big, but still enormous. "I'll tell you that even after ages of walking around a verse you won't be able to see the boundaries, that good enough for the time being?" He added, looking over his shoulder at the One Cut Killer.
Lubbock had to think over Akame's second question a little more. Stopping Omni was a bit far-fetched, and likely impossible. "It would be insane to try and get a god to stop doing what he feels good doing. Maybe not the best idea." He replied with a chuckle. "I think the best thing to do would be to make the place more hospitable for new Primes and Secondaries, and less of a bloodbath and race for power." He explained, looking straight ahead as the steed rushed closer to the Camelot gate. "If we can't stop people coming here, we can at least make the place more easily bearable." He clarified with a slight grin, imagining what Omni's reaction to such a revolution would be.
Akame seemed quite pissed at the fact that Primes slayed each other over and over. Lubbock didn't blame her; she absolutely despised needless killing, and even though she kills with good intent, she knowingly carries the burden of the lives she took with her blade. "It's horrible... I know." Lubbock agreed with his partner, a bitter frown on his lips.
As if Akame's shock at the Prime bloodbath wasn't enough, she almost had a heart attack from the name 'Esdeath'. Even he didn't know how long Esdeath had been in the Omniverse before himself. Now wasn't the time for such brain-straining thoughts though. Lubbock's head was sent into a spin as they passed through the gate to Camelot, and an audible groan sounded behind him; it was Akame's first time passing through a gate, so she undoubtedly experienced a larger degree of nausea than her green-clad companion.
As the strange spiral of space washed away, a sunlit expanse of hills and forests met their eyes. "Whoah..." Lubbock gasped as he pulled the reigns of his steed and slowed them to a halt. "Jeez... is it just me or does this place look a lot like home?" He asked with a grin, giving the horse a gentle kick to start it moving at a slow canter. "Yeah, you're right. And I thought I missed home before..." Akame trailed off, and Lubbock gently brushed his elbow against the girl's arm. "Chin up, Akame. For now... this is our home. We can settle down here for a while, see what kind of things are going on-" He was cut short mid-explanation by a large roar - or more like thousands of roars molded into one. "What's that?!" The boy asked, kicking his horse into a gallop and zooming up a hill to overlook a large farmland, where a mob of angry humanoid beings - obviously not human by the strange skin colours - rushing a uniform square of armoured knights.
"What the... what's going on?!" Lubbock asked through gritted teeth, watching a blue-skinned female, missing an arm, shambling up the hill towards them. "Please! Help us! Aragorn's knights are culling our non-human races!" She screamed, and Lubbock growled. "Akame..."
"Let's do this." The girl was quick to respond, and Lubbock sent them charging down the hill, Akame unsheathing Murasame behind him.

Character Name: Odin
Character Source: Norse Mythology
Character History: Odin taken from Norse mythology. As Odin was about to be killed by Fenris during Ragnarok, Omni transported him to the Omniverse. Now a weakened Odin must discover a new purpose to existence without an ever-approaching Ragnarok to shape him.
Stats:
ATK: 3
DEF: 3
SPD: 2
TEC: 2
Starting Proficiencies: 1400
Physical Strength - 1000
Buff Proficiency - 400
Starting Powers: 3000
Shapeshifting - 1400
Insight - 1600
Starting Moves: 600
Gungnir - 300 - Physical Strength - Odin's Spear is about 6 feet long. The main shaft is 5' long, made of the wood of Yggdrasil, and covered in runes. The blade is a foot long and flairs out at the sides slightly, giving it a diamond shape. It is made of dwarven steel and appears almost silvery. It takes as long to summon as it would to draw it from his back. While it is a balanced weapon with no explicit strengths or weaknesses, it is not made for throwing, so serves only as a melee weapon.
Berserker's Blessing - 300 - Buff Proficiency - By using his knowledge of runes, Odin can increase the ferocity of his allies. Odin Chants for 5 seconds, bolstering his allies and sending them into a frenzy that lasts for 25 seconds. While in this frenzy, allies will fight harder and ignore most of the damage that they sustain from enemies. However, after this effect has worn off, they will instantly feel the effects of any damage that they sustained while in the frenzy.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the rules of conduct.
