  Black gate?
Posted by: Marisa Kirisame - 05-11-2016, 08:22 AM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (1)

So how much Om would it take to theoretically open the Black gate to the under verse, and would it take anything else to open?

  Paper trail/ Chara's sticky situation
Posted by: Marisa Kirisame - 05-11-2016, 06:42 AM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (4)

Well you may hunt me down and hurt me if I couldn't find this but Chara is at Darkshire at the moment with a sticky situation.
Well she has been threatened by some random npc that he will kill Charas adoptive family, if she doesn't leave Darkshire in five ic days. Well I have two choices here I could fight them in broad daylight and get a almost certain bounty for killing the guard, or I could leave the town for a very long time.
If I could get what people think I should do that would be great.
Thank you for helping me

  When oceans rage
Posted by: Undyne - 05-11-2016, 04:18 AM - Forum: The Vasty Deep - Replies (6)

Sabrina's Magnet Bike briefly soared through the air as a result of the Nexus Gate having had somewhat of a ramp leading up to the actual rift, but the antigrav modules quickly caught it and ensured that she landed smoothly. What a way to make an entrance... pity that there was nobody nearby to take notice. She drove a few meters away from the gate, just in case that someone else decided to use it with an oversized Monster Truck or whatever, and found a good spot to shut the bike's engines down and let it land. Only then did she remove her helmet, shake her head to get her long, black hair disentangled, and took in more than her immediate surroundings.

The distant sounds of the sea, the annoying "Caw! Ca-caw!" of the seagulls flying above her head, the burning sun on her cheeks and the sounds of a busy harbor somewhere... over that way? The gate wasn't located inside the city, it looked like, but there was a stone path leading to it. That must be the imperial outpost. What had the soldier called it again? Costa del Sol, right. Sabrina put her helmet on the Magnet Bike's seat and shielded her eyes from the bright sun to take a look. Yes, what little she could see showed bustling activity, people going back and forth with various items in their hands or with transport vehicles of sorts. The presence of soldiers was... minor. She could see them among the crowd, moving in small groups, but the security was nowhere near what she had expected. The physical proximity to the Nexus was too significant to validate that they would feel distanced from the hostilities that the troopers guarding the gate were keeping out, so... what was it? People just wanting to forget? Yeah, that sounded like it.

Well, regardless. She hadn't come here to take in the sights. First thing she needed was gonna be a map... a map of this region, or at least something to point her in the right direction. She knew how to read military-grade maps of seas and oceans, that was the least issue. Where to get one, was the important part. She had no form of commendation that could get her to a naval officier, no way of proving her trust. So... what about taverns and bars? They were always a good spot to listen to some gossip and hear the tales of old sea dogs - tales to be taken with a grain of salt, but which could prove useful nontheless. She got herself back on the Magnet Bike and drove to the city, finding a safe spot to leave it - which is to say, out in the open where everyone could see a potential thief trying to force the high-tech lock - before mingling in with the crowd, following its flow for a while and occasionally switching or taking turns to manoeuver herself towards the seaside and from there to that one place which every city had, the necessary evil... the blind spot in the all-seeing eye of the Empire. The district where petty criminals, dubious peddlers, thugs-for-hire, part-time pirates and other... enterpreneurs, dealing in the gray - or indeed, the dark red - areas of the law - met up to conduct their business. This was their little safe haven. After all, crime always existed, there was no way to fully remove it from a society. If the Empire crushed this outpost, it would just reappear elsewhere, or worse, spread and hide among the crowd, where it would be even harder to weed out a specific individual if something serious happened and the Stormtroopers had to interfere.

Sabrina had dealt with the underworld for longer than she cared to admit. Acting all mysterious and secretive and snickering evily would just draw the wrong kinds of attention and get her further away from her goals. She had to be smart about this. One hand in her pocket inconspicuously turned some of her Omnilium into coins like the ones she could see the people pay with at the stalls - no need for everyone to know who she was and what she could do - and she stepped into a place whose name was not legible anymore after the salty wind and burning sun had weathered the sign down. Inside, people were playing cardgames and gambling with dice, drinking cheap beer from oversized mugs and smoking in such quantities that the entire area they were seated in was covered in smog. Best get out of the place before she got a knife between her ribs... she stepped towards the counter and drew one coin from her pocket, letting it flip between her fingers to catch some light and draw some barman's attention.

"Wha can I get you?" a generously curved woman asked from behind the counter, leaning on it and chewing what Sabrina imagined, and hoped, to be chewing tobacco.

"You wouldn't happen to serve information here?" Sabrina asked.

"Information? We're a bar, not a newspaper, doll."

She let the coin drop on the counter, causing an audible clink. "That's just fine. Newspapers don't provide what I'm looking for anyway."

The woman eyeballed the coin but then suspiciously sized Sabrina up. "And what would that be?"

"A map. Y'know, of the seas. Uncharted parts."

"Uncharted? You do realize that uncharted means there ain't no maps of it?"

"There are, I'm sure."

The barkeeper looked through the room with a frown. "... what area?"

"The Cinnibar archipelago."

"Oh. You're out to do some... tourism?"

"You could say that."

"Hmm... I may just have what you want, but... I'm not sure. My memory isn't the best, you know."

"Oh, I'm sure it can be freshened up." Sabrina added a second coin to the first, but when the barkeeper reached out she clicked her tongue and covered them with her hand. "I don't do welfare. I want something for that."

"That's not how it works", the barkeeper said with a glare. "Either you pay up or the deal's off."

"Well, that's too bad. I'm not gonna pay up 'til I know what I'm paying for." She pulled her hand back along over the counter, pulling the coins along and collecting them when they fell off the wooden surface, then turned around to leave.

"Hey! Wait!" The woman yelled, afraid of losing out on the income. Sabrina held back a grin, knowing that she had won. Sure enough, the woman glared at her but then sighed. "I want half up-front, you might try to- okay! OKAY! I'll tell you what you need!"

Sabrina was halfway towards the door when the woman called her back for the second time. "I'm listening."

"There ain't no maps of the area that civvies can get their hands on. But I happen to have a few pieces that an officier left me as payment. He had a huge debt though, I can't afford to give them away that cheap."

"Show me. I'll decide what they're worth."

The woman wandered into the back room and soon came back with a lengthy leather tube with rolled-up parchments inside. She tugged them out, went through them and showed it to Sabrina, hiding most of it behind the counter though. She didn't want any other imperial Navy members to know about this. "Forty, and not one cent less." The maps were in good shape and accurate... just what she needed. It was time to haggle.

"Forty? Did that officier empty a dozen barrels of your finest or something? And this thing's barely legible, and it's paper. Had it at least been in digital format... I'll give you eight at most."

"You're crazy! These are top-quality and way more dependable than electronics that break at the slightest hint of humidity! Thirty, because I like you."

"Twelve, and I'm being generous. The moment that this thing catches one saltwater drop it'll become useless."

"My husband will think I'm mad, but twenty-five! That's my last offer!"

"Twenty, and that's MY last word."

"Twenty-three."

"Twenty-two."

"Deal!" She slammed her hand on the counter and pushed the maps back into the tube. Then with one hand she pushed them over the counter whilst Sabrina counted 22 coins and passed them to the woman as well.

"Thank you." She checked that the tube had not been sneakily replaced or emptied, then nodded and stepped back from the counter.

"Don't want anything before you go?" She asked after putting the coins away. "A little rum, on the house? Just for you, a valuable business partner?"

"No thanks. Booze gives me heartburn." Sabrina replied with a laugh and left the bar, mingling back into the crowd. If the rum wasn't spiked it was going to be a blade to the throat as soon as she got a little drunk, but there was no doubt that the woman wanted the maps back. Who knows how often she had sold them already... it might be a good idea to make a copy of these plans just in case. They were a lucrative item, no doubt would many people not hesitate to cut a throat for them. For now, she returned to her Magnet Bike and headed towards the civilian ports, back on the "light" side of the city.

  CORUSCANT CLASSIFIEDS: Seeking a Roommate
Posted by: Hiro Protagonist - 05-10-2016, 11:43 AM - Forum: Dataverse Messageboards - No Replies

-a video file is attached to the ad. When played, it opens on a sparsely furnished apartment hallway, leading to a window with a great view of the Tier Two skyline. Hiro's voice is heard speaking over the video.-

"So hey, been here for about a week now. Managed to make enough to get a month's rent on this beautiful apartment. Need a roommate if I want to stay here though."

The camera advances forward as Hiro opens a door and points the view inside. It's empty but very spacious.

"This would be your room. It's ripe for furnishing, wireless dataverse connection reaches here, and it's even got it's own bathroom."

The camera goes back out to the hallway and into a shiny chrome kitchen. There's a toaster, and a few other appliances.

"Big fridge, big oven, I don't really cook so that would be your space. Anyways, there's my bedroom, which I'm not going to show you because that's creepy, and there's a den but that's my workspace."

The camera goes back out to the hallway and points out the window, to the bustling and active street. There's several parks and shopping plazas visible from the window. The camera then turns around and Hiro looks right into it.

"So that's it. Respond to this ad or message me at this communicator address."

The camera shuts off at this point.

  The Pheonix Rise Again
Posted by: Jacket - 05-10-2016, 09:56 AM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (2)

"Where the hell am I?" said Kung Fury which he fell into complete darkness when he was on his daily routine police duties back in 1985 Miami.

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Kung Fury starts looking around the place then notices the white figure looking person who is speaking to him. This gave Kung Fury a vibe that this figure who is speaking to him might be some kind of God like entity. Is this some kind of sick game? thought Kung Fury what Omni explain to him why he was brought in this so called Omniverse. Omni then hands a glimmering orb to Kung Fury that the colors of the object is rainbow coalesce.

Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."

The Kung Fu like cop examines the orb and thinks of the possibilities what this mysterious like item can grant him. He stuffs the orb inside his leather jacket and listens more to what Omni has to say to him about the Omniverse.

Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn. "

Death was a familiar feeling to Kung Fury as he experienced it before but Hackerman saved him by hacking him back to life. So, I'm not alone in this strange universe. thought Kung Fury on the subject of others like him that were brought here where he is standing. He is still confused why would Omnilium be valuable. Was it the source that gave him his Kung Fu powers before?

Quote:“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

Omni disappears from the domain and left Kung Fury standing there then he was transported to the iconic fountain of the Nexus. Fuck, how am I going get out of this mess. I need to go back to Miami and do my duty or the streets will be filled with anarchy. thought Kung Fury leaning his back on the fountain having his right hand on his chin in a thinking position what he needs to do next. Am I trapped here? Is there no other place to go? questioned Kung Fury in his thoughts thinking what just happened to him.

  Ara Haan from Elsword

Character name: Ara Haan

Character source: Elsword

Character history: Ara is the daughter of the Haan Family, a warrior family that protected the seal of the Nine-Tailed-Fox for generations.
At first glance, Ara looks like a kind and polite girl, but because of her family's influence, she is actually a highly skilled martial artist and spear wielder.
Her brother, Aren Haan, began his training early and was able to become strong enough to become the Defense Captain of Fahrmann's capital.

On one night, the village Ara had lived in had been attacked by an army of demons to take the village's Moon Elstone. Ara tried her best to fight back, but was outnumbered and cornered.
In the destruction, Ara fell into a room containing a mysterious altar. A large hairpin that was pinned to the altar was thrown across the floor. Ara is approached by her brother, Aren, who is now Ran, the demon general who had led the invasion.
Aren, who had inherited his strong spirit from the moon, had been corrupted and reborn as Ran due to the Dark El contaminating the moon's power. Ran had conquered Fahrmann's capital and led his army to retrieve the village's El-fragment.

As Ran is about to kill Ara, the last survivor, she instinctively protected herself with the hairpin on the floor. The pin unleashed a powerful light and Ara fell unconscious.
When she woke, Ara found herself alone in center of the village. The nine tailed fox had possessed her and fought the demons back, but the Moon Elstone had already been taken by them.
Ara then hears the spirit's voice, Eun, who had been sealed in the pin for centuries. Eun makes a contract with Ara, agreeing to lend Ara her power and help her find her brother, Aren. In exchange, Ara has to help Eun bring back the Elstone. Ara accepts, and they go on their journey to search for Aren.

She has suddenly disappeared after she became a Sakra Devanam, but we only know that she is taken to a mysterious place called Omniverse

Her spear is capable of creating powerful moves such as Dragon Stances, Tiger Stances, Secret Arts, and etc. Keep in mind that she could also tire herself if she keeps using her spear.

Secret Arts
Ara links moves to create a super powerful move that could really tire you because it uses all the remaining energy. There are two types of moves that you can do here, Secret Dragon Art: Blast, and Secret Tiger Art: Fierce Tiger. Secret Dragon has 3 stances and S

Dragon Stance 4.1: Full Moon Slash (Requires Physical Strength, Area Attack Proficiency)- 600 OM

Question Is it possible to form a town of secondaries?
Posted by: Jams Bolero - 05-09-2016, 10:55 PM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (7)

I want to ask people to help participate in a town of secondaries who survive through helping one another.  It's an attempt to simulate that old small town feeling where everyone relied on each other, and I wanted to know if it's possible to start a town like this in the Endless Dunes.  I am fully aware it'd be difficult considering... well, it's the Endless Dunes.  But I feel it'd be an interesting attempt to take a different perspective of the Omniverse, to switch from the perspective of a single immortal prime to a town full of secondaries trying to survive.

So yeah, would it be possible to do that?

  Empire State of Mind
Posted by: Hiro Protagonist - 05-09-2016, 08:31 PM - Forum: Coruscant - Replies (20)

Quote:Five Days After Ikiru: To Live

"Gooooood morning, Tier Two! And for today's simulated weather pattern, we have partly cloudy in the morning, with light showers around noon, followed by clear skies to watch a beautiful sunset, this one sponsored by PepsiCo! And to kick off your day we've got some lovely tunes coming your way, on Core Radio!"

Hiro opened his eyes on the bed as the radio started to pump out futuristic synth music. He just lay there for a few moments, drinking in the rhythm and the volume. His side was healing amazingly fast, and all that remained of the wounds he'd suffered a week ago were just fading scars.

Eventually he sat up in the bed, reaching for a small paper box on his bedside table that said "Sunshine Slims: Fine Herbal Deathsticks (Now With Zero Death!)". Omni be praised for cigarettes with no carcinogens. Apparently, it was some genetically engineered strand of herbs that they'd transplanted in the Vasty Deeps. The crop just soaked up the air and sunshine, and produced leaves that were more than suitable for smoking, and indeed, made clouds of slightly blueish, seaside scented smoke. Hiro enjoyed them far more than any other cigarette he'd care to have tried back home.

Which reminded him, he was running out of both cigarettes and groceries. The reward for his capture of Joon Yi the Cleaver had provided enough funds for a month of rent in this apartment, plus enough to buy staple food supplemented with the occasional summoned meal. He was going to have to get a roommate to afford the rent though, or bag another bounty. Tier Two wasn't cheap, but since he was a Prime, Hiro figured he could afford to splurge a bit. Life was a little easier when you were in the Empire's positive book and had powerful abilities to boot.

He flipped a teal cigarette out of the package and lit it with a cheap plastic lighter, inhaling deeply and blowing a cloud of light blue smoke across the small room, perfuming the air with the scent of salt and sand. Heaving himself off the bed, he landed easily on his feet and started to get dressed. Couldn't go out in the street in his boxers, of course, so he pulled on a new t-shirt adorned with an eye catching swirl pattern and the words "I <3 Coruscant", in addition to a pair of blue, voluminous hachimaki. These he'd summoned himself. He'd picked up the T-shirt from a chintzy tourist boutique in lieu of his actual shopping trip, which he supposed might as well take place today. They had given him the stink eye until he ponied up some OM, given that he had been nearly shirtless and wrapped in bloodied bandages.

He'd spent most of the last few days just recuperating and browsing the Dataverse for job opportunities. The Empire kept an open list of public bounties, levied against those who had caused trouble in Coruscant. The Omniverse was starting to feel a lot like home, except better in a myriad number of ways. Sure, he was constantly monitored here in the city, but back home a simple laser scan could tell whoever was performing it what you favorite foods were, how often you picked your nose, where you lived, etc. In a way, the public surveillance here was less intense. He could take a four mile walk without having to steer clear of White Columns or any other Apartheid burbclave, or keep a hand on his sword in the Buy N Fly.

Picking up his gloves and goggles from a hook near the door where he'd hung them, he slipped both on and headed out of the apartment towards the elevator. A minute later and the droid doorman wished him a good day as he went through the spinning glass doors. He stood at the edge of the street, looking up at the greyish sky, hints of blue peeking out behind clouds, and stepped out onto the street, heading towards the nearest shopping complex.
