| Other Characters' Theme Songs! |

So everybody love of thinking of music for their own characters. It's also really easy if you don't have an OC, because then theme music for them probably already exists!
THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN HERE.
Rather, you will provide precisely one (1) song as the theme of the person you chose and explain why you chose that song. Final note, theme songs SHOULD be lyrical if possible, because then it will be more clear you've been doing your homework, my pretties. :nealaphh:
Since there's no one above me, I'll just do a theme for Omni.
https://youtu.be/uAOR6ib95kQ
I chose DARE by the Gorillaz for Omni because the song is essentially saying that if people are so depressed about the world they find themselves in, they should stop complaining and do something about it. I feel this is something Omni subtly encourages a lot, and also his grin reminds me of Noodle in this video.

The desert heat beat down on the formerly Imperial compound. The air was as still as a months old pile of paperwork, and just as stifling. Left to their own devices, the only two occupants of the base worked at a leisurely pace. The AI that occupied the computer bank in the central control tower quietly browsed through the Dataverse, looking both for interesting requests to flag for Carmelita’s use and leads on the paper trail he wanted to eliminate from the Coruscant databanks. The trieye, meanwhile, dedicated her time to invention. Or at least, she tried to...
“Ow ow ow ow!”
Chip retracted her hand from the workbench and nursed it tenderly, glaring with all three of her eyes at the solenoid that had decided to suddenly prod a metal rod into her hand. She stroked her purple fur to one side, grimacing as she saw the skin beneath already beginning to bruise.
“All I want,” she growled, “Is for you to regulate the extension and retraction of the rod without sending it flying. Is that so hard, damn you?”
The solenoid, being an inanimate electromagnet, did not reply. Chip took the awkward pause to realise she was talking to her work again, and used her uninjured hand to pinch her eyebrows. Spinning around on top of the stool she perched on, she grabbed a bottle of water.
The cool liquid rejuvenated her a little, but she was still frustrated. Abandoning the solenoid, she instead crossed the workshop to where she had assembled a small cylindrical shell. Attaching a few wires to their relevant couplings, Chip picked up the laptop it was connected to and began clicking buttons on screen. The cylinder began to raise itself on stubby wheeled legs, before Chip made it begin rocking back and forth by alternating the extension of the legs.
“Thank goodness for pneumatics,” she muttered as a smile crept onto her face. “They’ve yet to let me down. If only I could fit some in the head. Now, to test the air cushion.”
She lowered the cylinder back onto the floor remotely, and activated another button. The whoosh of air quickly filled the room as the cylinder rose on a bed of air beneath it. Chip smiled.
“Yes! It worked!” she called out as she switched the fans off. She began detaching the wires, tucking them away inside the large open space inside the cylinder, while simultaneously calling Al3x with her headset.
++Hey Chip. You fixed the solenoid you were moaning about?++ The AI’s voice, laden with sardonic wit, sounded bored, but Chip had known its owner for almost a month at this point. Recognising the hidden curiosity for what it was she smiled to herself.
“Not so much, but I did get the air cushion working. At a test weight of twenty pounds too!” She couldn’t help but give a little fist pump at that, though she knew the AI probably wouldn’t see it.
++Sweet. I set up one of the machine shops to make that quantum deployment beacon you asked for, by the way. It should have finished… three minutes ago.++
Chip finished tidying up after her test run. “Thank you. I’ll pick it up after lunch. Speaking of, do you want to join me? There’s a few amusing raps about Palpatine that one of my old friends sent me.”
++Eh, why not.++
---
As she waved goodbye to the mobile projector Al3x used for telepresence, Chip smiled. The guy was a real piece of work sometimes, his snark and overly elaborate metaphors putting down online commenters or ragging on news articles, but he’d never turned that on her. They’d struck up a sense of camaraderie, alone out in the desert, and she enjoyed the talks they had when they took breaks.
She hummed a tune under her breath as she walked out of the mess hall and into the building’s shadow, avoiding the boiling light of the sun overhead and sticking to the relatively cooler shade as she made her way to the automated workshop. The quantum deployment beacon, a large cube that weighed enough to require her to bend her knees to pick it up, was waiting, and she carried it slowly across the base to her workplace.
The relief of air conditioning swept over her as she re-entered the lab. She placed the beacon down on a workbench next to the solenoid and looked at the two components.
Chip got back to work.

Quote:Channel 3,896,776 The Trading Card Game Channel - Commercial break. Voiceover in BOLD.
A man with a backpack stands under a street-lamp in front of a cinderblock wall on Tier 4 of Coruscant - you can tell, because there's a great, big, red neon sign flashing behind him that says "TIER 4" in block letters. He's dressed in a shabby t-shirt and ill-fitting slacks. His shoulders are hunched, his shoes are untied, his greasy, black hair is a mess, and his glasses are taped in the middle.
The man looks left, clearly nervous. Then he looks right. Apparently satisfied, he reaches into his backpack and pulls out a book.
Suddenly, the wall explodes! An eight-foot tall, shaven-headed man-beast with bright red skin, tiny cut-off shorts, dozens of obscene tattoos, and pectorals the size of small children erupts onto the scene, screaming.
'NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRD!' The new arrival grabs the guy with the glasses by the head - which easily fits in the palm of one enormous meaty hand - and slams him face-first into the sidewalk!
The frame freezes with the nervous reader's face pressed against the pavement, glasses breaking, one cheek flattened and eyes crossed in an expression of horrified surprise, caught in the moment before, presumably, his head explodes.
DOES THIS HAPPEN TO YOU?
The frame cuts to a rapid-fire montage of the enormous red antagonist face-ramming, choke-slamming, drop-kicking, or otherwise pulverizing a variety of surprised intellectuals in a shocking array of locations, from libraries to sailboats to fully furnished living-rooms. He explodes from the nearest horizontal surface, bellowing the accusation, and then sets about his violent tasks with gusto.
THEN YOU NEED: THE OMNITONE WORKOUT PROGRAM! (PROGRAM! PROGRAM! PROGRAM!)
A group of skinny people in tracksuits are running in a sunny, forested area. They look nervous.
THE OMNITONE WORKOUT PROGRAM PROVIDES THE TECHNIQUES AND MOTIVATION YOU NEED TO GET SERIOUSLY RIPPED!
The camera pans out. We can now see that they are being chased by that same enormous guy. His cardio evidently isn't very good, because he doesn't seem to be enjoying it much more than they are. The words "Seriously Ripped!" flash repeatedly on the screen in big red letters.
IN JUST EIGHT WEEKS, WITH THE HELP OF OUR DEDICATED TRAINERS, YOU'LL GET THE BODY YOU'VE ALWAYS DREAMED OF!
A beatiful blond woman in a green bikini lounges with a beach in the background, sipping a drink from a coconut. Suddenly, she dips out of the frame. Just as abruptly, she returns. The camera pans out to reveal that she, and the chair she's lounging on, are being supported on the shoulders of a skinny - although far more muscular than the ones who were running earlier - man who is in the process of doing many, many squats. The red guy looks on, his expression vaguely approving.
SO CALL TODAY! 1-888-STOP-THE-PAIN-WITH-YET-MORE-PAIN. THAT'S 1-888-STOP-THE-PAIN-WITH-YET-MORE-PAIN
The red guy stands in front of a wall of rapidly scrolling text, which explains the many things that, by viewing this ad, you've agreed that the Omnitone Workout program can't be held legally responsible for. They include 'the Wrath of the Emperor', 'Guu', 'Carnivorous plants', 'eaten by velociraptors', and 'Steam-Locomotive-Related Injuries'.
"I'm Max Omnitone," he says. "And I approve this message. You NEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRDS!"

I have a question about the Nexus. I find it a mysterious an interesting place in its own rights but my question has to do with the "feel" of the place.
My character will be doing a couple of things to try and understand what the place is. All he knows so far is that its the origin place for Primes coming into the Omniverse and the various portals are to seperate parts of it.
I assume the Nexus is a room of sorts with walls and a cieling. (am I wrong here?)
If so would it be reasonable for my character to come to the conclusion that the feeling of the "ground, walls and cieling" here can vary to each prime just as the fountain can change shape? Like for example, Serraph might feel as if he is walking upon marble or sandstone where another might feel like he/she is walking upon something entirely.

I laid on the ground next to the stream, listening to the sound of the water moving, wondering if anybody would show up here the way I had before. As I sat, I daydreamed about Andr. I considered trying to create her, but I had a feeling that she wouldn’t be whole, that she would be less that what she was back home. I’m not sure what gave me this feeling. I guess it was just part of the natural instincts that I seemed to have gathered after I was brought to the Omniverse.
As I thought of Andr, I started to wonder where I should go next. Part of me wondered if I really had to go anywhere. Could I not sit next to this stream for the rest of my days, meeting the people that were created here, and helping them along their travels. I laughed at the idea. What a boring life. No, I needed to go somewhere and meet people. But the question was… Where did I want to go?
During my brief time in Coruscant, I had explored around on the Omniverse and learned about the different verses and a little bit about the citizens of each verse. There are eight main verses, not counting the nexus, which is where I was now. I had already been to Coruscant, and couldn’t see myself going back. It wasn’t really my style.
There was the Vasty Deep, which Is a giant verse covered in mostly ocean with a few scattered islands around the place. The main residential presence was in Costa de Sol, which I had already visited. I had met some strange people there… But it seemed to be to much in control of the Empire, so, that took me back to square one.
There was the Endless Dunes to the other side, a barren wasteland of a desert with nothing to do in it. Not exactly appealing. Essentially the same thing with the Ashen Steppes and the Frozen Fields…
There was one verse however, which was more like my home than any other… And it was to that verse that I decided to travel…
After a long walk, I found myself standing before a gate to the Tangled Green, a verse I had learned was filled with forests and dangerous creatures that could kill me without me even knowing. Home to man eating plants, carnivorous wildlife, poisonous flowers. The flowers are harmful!
I took off towards the gate that I believed was the Green. Upon my arrival at the gate, I found that lack of a military presence… calming. There were no guards, and the gate itself appeared to give off a vibe of the jungle. Not entirely sure what to expect on the other side, I stepped through.
My first thought upon entrance to the Green? ‘This place is gorgeous!’ My second thought? ‘Where do I go now?’ I seemed to be in a small plain in the middle of a dense jungle. I slowly took in my surroundings, not sensing any immediate threat in my area. To the south a find a path with a sign pointing to a place I didn’t have the slightest clue how to pronounce.
Heading down the path, I watched the sun go down in the distance, off to the west. It was with this method that I had originally figured out which direction I was headed in the first place. After a walk for an amount of time that I wasn’t entirely sure of, I came across what appeared to be a city with no walls.
A few strange creatures that I had never seen before walked around calmly, some talking with each other, others running shops and serving food, some were walking around with some kind of colored box in their hand, slightly larger than an apple.
I noticed what appeared to be a flower hopping around in it’s pot, the plant only coming up to about my knee, but ignored it. I was clearly on drugs of some kind. Maybe I had smelled the wrong flower, or the air was poisoned, or it was something the Empire had done to me before I left. There was no way I was actually seeing this.
The sun went down with my still standing around watching, and by now a few people had began to take notice of me. Behind my back I summoned a block of tnt, and got it ready for priming in case this turned bad.
A beast that I could compare to nothing but a giant ocelot began to talk to me. It sounded friendly enough, but there was no way to be sure.
“Excuse me, are you looking for something?” It asked me earnestly, a hint of kindness in it’s voice.
I sighed audibly. “I’m not sure what I’m looking for exactly. I just got here, and I have no idea what this place is.” The giant cat looking thing nodded, almost as if I had given the answer it had expected.
“Well, allow me to show you around. What’s your name?”
I considered lying for a moment. I had no reason to trust this creature. But then I realized something. I had no reason not to trust it either. “My name is Cupa.”

So I got the first 'FAQ' finalized and made it public: http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?...6#pid94156
I also made some edits to all of the Kingdom NPCs. Nothing major or ground-breaking, just polishing up and clarifying some facts about Thrall and Dumbledore. Aragorn also got another paragraph or so providing more background to race relations in Camelot. In the Info thread itself, I polished up a little bit on Dalaran and Minas Tirith, to provide some more details as well.
Most of that content comes from discussions held on Discord two weeks back, and this'll be the template that follows for the remainder of the verses.
Much like the FAQ for the Rules, we'll try to keep Verse FAQs updated as needed.
Hopefully this helps people to get a better understanding of the verse.

So we have a mobile theme. Since it's a theme designed for use on tablets and cell phones, it's what I call 'the bare bones.' That said, it's nice if you just want to chat from your phone or read posts. There's also the option to just swap over to the Rev or Omni theme.
As it stands, the theme has most of what I think it needs to have. The exception is the Rules, because they're not populating there for some reason I plan to investigate.
I wanted to open a thread for feedback or to see if there's anything people want included.
As a heads up, you can access the mobile theme from desktop using the drop-down bar at the bottom of the forums. I don't recommend that, since you have to go through your UserCP to change your theme (the 'go to desktop version button' doesn't work when you're already on a desktop). It also, for some amusing reason, changes some of your settings (like 'Display Images' lol)

As Kal'roc the mighty commander of the tenth regiment of the draconian assault force. woke up from his cell, he saw he was not in his cell anymore. In fact it was like some sorcerer had used some dark magic to encase him. A figure appeared before him and started to speak.
Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”
Kal'roc stood there listening as he sat down and started to meditate as this person named Omni saved his life. Omni forms a orb of multicolored magic is what the draconian could take from it as Omni handed to him. Omni then continued his cool and collected speech.
Quote:This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.
“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.
“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
Kal'roc wanted to say his thanks, but couldn't speak for some reason as the darkness faded away, and he finds himself at a world of white with a fountain that was quite incredibly made for it had some water coming out of it somehow. "So this is a new life I have been granted huh? time to make the most of it by finding a group of draconians and having all lizard kind come together under one banner."
He pulled out the ball and watched as it changed color's slowly, like honey coming off a spoon. He was mesmerized by the plethora of color except black was not there and white was also absent surprisingly. He checked his inventory and saw his hat was still there and his Katana was also there. A symbol like the flag bearers would carry into battle except more important as it gave any draconian a breath attack and, or magic. His is fire since the red gem placed in the sheath. though one can change there breath attack with more gems in place. He looked around to see many a portal in the distance due to its almost magical residue. one had a much greater output of the almost radioactive substance; not deadly mind you but it could have some serious side effects, and he decided to head towards that one first.
After what seemed to be an hour he was no closer to his goal so he tried to use his wings but even with his powerful strokes of each wingflap, he was no higher off the ground than he started. He sighed as he thought about a mount mostly a drake to carry him. After thinking forever about this drake it was finished to his surprise. "What in the all mighty dragon?" It had a saddle and everything he had before getting caught. his battle plans, rations, a log, and a package that says bring to the nearest mage to dispose of this dangerous weapon.
He clambered on the drake of white scales, and iceicles on its body and started his flight to the portal.
