The Next Chapter - Cupa - 02-15-2017

I laid on the ground next to the stream, listening to the sound of the water moving, wondering if anybody would show up here the way I had before. As I sat, I daydreamed about Andr. I considered trying to create her, but I had a feeling that she wouldn’t be whole, that she would be less that what she was back home. I’m not sure what gave me this feeling. I guess it was just part of the natural instincts that I seemed to have gathered after I was brought to the Omniverse.

As I thought of Andr, I started to wonder where I should go next. Part of me wondered if I really had to go anywhere. Could I not sit next to this stream for the rest of my days, meeting the people that were created here, and helping them along their travels. I laughed at the idea. What a boring life. No, I needed to go somewhere and meet people. But the question was… Where did I want to go?

During my brief time in Coruscant, I had explored around on the Omniverse and learned about the different verses and a little bit about the citizens of each verse. There are eight main verses, not counting the nexus, which is where I was now. I had already been to Coruscant, and couldn’t see myself going back. It wasn’t really my style.

There was the Vasty Deep, which Is a giant verse covered in mostly ocean with a few scattered islands around the place. The main residential presence was in Costa de Sol, which I had already visited. I had met some strange people there… But it seemed to be to much in control of the Empire, so, that took me back to square one.

There was the Endless Dunes to the other side, a barren wasteland of a desert with nothing to do in it. Not exactly appealing. Essentially the same thing with the Ashen Steppes and the Frozen Fields…

There was one verse however, which was more like my home than any other… And it was to that verse that I decided to travel…

After a long walk, I found myself standing before a gate to the Tangled Green, a verse I had learned was filled with forests and dangerous creatures that could kill me without me even knowing. Home to man eating plants, carnivorous wildlife, poisonous flowers. The flowers are harmful!

I took off towards the gate that I believed was the Green. Upon my arrival at the gate, I found that lack of a military presence… calming. There were no guards, and the gate itself appeared to give off a vibe of the jungle. Not entirely sure what to expect on the other side, I stepped through.

My first thought upon entrance to the Green? ‘This place is gorgeous!’ My second thought? ‘Where do I go now?’ I seemed to be in a small plain in the middle of a dense jungle. I slowly took in my surroundings, not sensing any immediate threat in my area. To the south a find a path with a sign pointing to a place I didn’t have the slightest clue how to pronounce.

Heading down the path, I watched the sun go down in the distance, off to the west. It was with this method that I had originally figured out which direction I was headed in the first place. After a walk for an amount of time that I wasn’t entirely sure of, I came across what appeared to be a city with no walls.

A few strange creatures that I had never seen before walked around calmly, some talking with each other, others running shops and serving food, some were walking around with some kind of colored box in their hand, slightly larger than an apple.

I noticed what appeared to be a flower hopping around in it’s pot, the plant only coming up to about my knee, but ignored it. I was clearly on drugs of some kind. Maybe I had smelled the wrong flower, or the air was poisoned, or it was something the Empire had done to me before I left. There was no way I was actually seeing this.

The sun went down with my still standing around watching, and by now a few people had began to take notice of me. Behind my back I summoned a block of tnt, and got it ready for priming in case this turned bad.

A beast that I could compare to nothing but a giant ocelot began to talk to me. It sounded friendly enough, but there was no way to be sure.

“Excuse me, are you looking for something?” It asked me earnestly, a hint of kindness in it’s voice.

I sighed audibly. “I’m not sure what I’m looking for exactly. I just got here, and I have no idea what this place is.” The giant cat looking thing nodded, almost as if I had given the answer it had expected.

“Well, allow me to show you around. What’s your name?”

I considered lying for a moment. I had no reason to trust this creature. But then I realized something. I had no reason not to trust it either. “My name is Cupa.”

RE: The Next Chapter - Cupa - 02-20-2017

Let me go ahead and tell you how hard it is to focus on shops, restaurants, and other important buildings when the thing introducing you to them is a giant version of the thing you fear most. Image a six foot tall spider taking you on a tour, or a six foot tall scorpion. You’d find it hard to focus, right?

That’s exactly how I felt being lead around Ambrosia by this giant cat. I didn’t hear half of what he said, as I had to constantly stop myself from running away in pure fear. He pointed to one building and mentioned something about great salads, pointed to a different building and mentioned something about weapons.

There was one building that he pointed to that I became fully aware of what he said. “That is Princess Guu’s palace.” He pointed to a giant pink building in the middle of the city.

I didn’t recognize the name from all the princesses I knew. “Princess Guu? Who is that?” The giant cat, gave me a shocked look, as if I was supposed to know already. “I’m new to the Omniverse. I was only brought here a few days ago.” The ocelot nodded in understanding.

“Well, princess Guu is the person who founded the city. The entire city was built around her palace, and she used it as an opportunity to provide a safe place that anyone could come to. Animal people, freaks, and humans like you. We’re all accepted here.” The ocelot gave me a smile.

I returned his smile. “Thanks, but I’m not a human. I’m a creeper.” The ocelot gave me a weird look.

“What is that?”

“Long story. I want to thank you for introducing me to the city. What’s your name?”

He gave me a friendly smile. “George.”

I extended my hand. “Cupa.” He took my hand and shook it strongly.

“You should head to the palace and speak to who is there.” George said to me.

I thanked him for his advice and headed off to the palace, a better person. Maybe this could be the start of a new life. My biases weren’t needed here, and these people had nothing against me.

I walked the path to the palace, unsure of what was going to happen next. I had no idea what to expect, and tried to keep an open mind. After all, maybe this time I’d find a giant skeleton or something.

RE: The Next Chapter - Guu - 02-21-2017

Cupa finally made her way to the front gates of the palace where she was surprised to see a jungle sanctuary positioned between the building and the gate with a small path cutting through it. It was quite a quite curious design choice.

As she proceeded down the path, she heard something, a somewhat loud thumping in the distance. She could see some of the trees parting. She readied her TNT, not sure what she might be facing. Soon, the creature came into view.

It was a pecular light blue creature. It's body was like a large, cushioned block, but it had two large rabbit ears poking up towards the sky that twitched as if they were prehensile, and it waddled on two pointy little feet. It had a face that seemed human. This thing clearly stood as tall as the trees. Cupa stood ready for anything, uncertain if this thing was a threat.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I hope we didn't startle you!" A voice cried out.

She looked around for the source, questioning whether to large creature was the one talking. However, her concerns were answered when someone appeared from behind the rabbit eared monster.

She stood just shorter than Cupo, appeared to be a human child of thirteen or so, except her skin was green, she had big pointy ears, and pertruding from her forehead were two antenei, jutting forward. She was entirely bald, didn't even have eyelashes, though her brow stuck out enough so that part of her face was just as prominent anyways. She wore a long sleeveless purple dressed that draped over her body.

"My apologize, I tell Brandon to stay clear of the path during the day, but ne never listens."

"Brandon?"

She points at the giant rabbit eared beast.

"This is Brandon, he's a giant Pokute." She turns back to Cupo and does a little curtsey. "And I'm Naturae, I'm Princess Guu's second adoptive daughter. I'm a namekian, if you didn't know."

RE: The Next Chapter - Cupa - 02-25-2017

I found it hard to take my eyes off of the Pokute. While the girl was as equally shocking to see, she was at least normal size. This blue thing, Brandon, was a giant compared to anything else I had seen. My eyes darted to the girl momentarily. “Pokute? Namekian? I’ve never heard of this things before.” The girl started to say something, but I cut her off before she could speak.

“My name is Cupa. I’m a creeper myself.” I slowly placed the tnt block away, smiling at Naturae. “Second adoptive daughter? What does that mean?” I hoped that this girl could answer my questions. After all, I knew next to nothing about this place.

RE: The Next Chapter - Guu - 02-27-2017

“Oh, I’m sorry… uh...” She flailed her arms in front of her trying to think of an explanation. “I mean, I’m the second child that Guu took in, the first being Molly. Though Guu did give birth to me… just forget about it, you’re new right? Let’s take a walk.”

She waved at the Pokute who took that as his cue to stomp off back into the wilderness as the green girl lead the creeper into the palace.

“Are you new to the Omniverse all together?”

“Well, I’ve been to coruscant and I’ve travelled around.”

“Okay so you’re not entirely out of the loop. That makes things easier.” She said with a sigh, she was not used to giving introductions. “You’re in Ambrosia, this city is a sanctuary for those who are deemed odd or unusual.”

She gathered that much.

As the pair crossover the front doors of the palace, the pair run into a punk rocker girl of some sort, wearing her hair in a short bob and a tank top that showed off her Ambrosia tattoo. Naturae’s eyes lit up.

“Sylvia!”

“Naturae!” She eyed the girl in green clothing. “I don’t believe I’ve met your friend!”

“Oh, this is Cupa! She only just arrived in Ambrosia.”

“Ah, came for the run down I see. Well, usually I’d expect your arrival but it’s been a hectic day, so sorry you haven’t received a warm welcome.”

“Uh, it’s okay.” Said Cupa. She wasn’t expecting one in the first place.

“Well, nice to meet’cha, I’m Sylvia Black, second in command here. I run the place when Guu isn’t around.” She said. She shifted her weight to look Cupa in the eyes.
“Keep in mind that most folks come here to live a peaceful existence, they don’t want no trouble so don’t give them any. Play nice and you’ll go far in this place.”

Just as she finished that sentence, two giant yellow birds rode by the pair being lead along by a samurai and a satyr. Sleeping on the top of the bird was a skeleton in a light blue hoodie. Following close behind while yammering her mouth off about something called “prinnies” was a little girl in a dress made of eyes, floating along above a horrific tentacle beast.

Sylvia gave a heavy sigh.

“Sorry to cut this short, but I’ve got to take care of this. Mind doing the rest of the induction Nat?”

“I’m be happy to!” Responded the green girl.

“Great, nice meeting you Cupa!” Called out the punk girl as she runs to catch up with the wacky display they just witnessed.

“Let’s continue!” Said Naturae, guiding her new friend further into the palace.

She brought her into a small room. It was decorated with a vines that blanketed the walls. The only furniture was a bed made entirely of moss, and a desk that housed a computer made of bluestone and a strange magical substance.

“What is this place?” Inquired the creeper.

“My room. It looked like the other group was headed for the computer lab, so I thought this was less of a hassle.” She pulled up one of the chairs hidden under the desk, Cupa, seeing where she was reaching, did the same for another chair. She powered up the computer which whizzed to life.

“Do you have a phone yet?” Asked the green girl. The Creeper shook her head, uncertain what she was talking about. The young one opened a drawer of her desk. Inside was a pack of ten smartphones with Omniyoutube logo printed on it. She pulled on out and handed it to her. “This is like a portable computer that fits in your hand. You can even use it to communicate with anyone you know.”

“Woah, really?”

“Yeah! And you can access the internet and everything!”

Cupa examined the device, pressing the big home button that lit it to life. Naturae poked through it, showing her how to access her contacts list, pull up the internet, and finally how to use the recall station.

“If you press that button and stay still for 10 minutes, you’ll immediately be transported back to Ambrosia from wherever you are in the world.”

“This is amazing! And it’s all free?”

The Namekian nodded.

“Anyways, if you plan to stay in Ambrosia, there are still houses vacant to claim, just anything that doesn’t have a mailbox in front is up for grabs. If you have some Omnlium to spend, you can pay the Tanuki to build you a home to your liking. Up to you really. If you need work, there’s a job board in town square.”
